Thank you guys for the wonderful feedback! Reviews are honestly the only thing that keeps me going and seeing such nice reviews are very rewarding and make me want to write more! This is honestly my favorite story to write. I have one other active story and I literally have to force myself to write it.

"El?" I gasped. I really wasn't expecting her to walk in. Especially with the fight we had. Maybe she was here to see Jack? I knew they were close friends, judging by how he trusted her so much to basically hire me on the spot like that.

"Hey, Squid." El managed a small smile. "Emily told me what you did at school today..."

I shifted nervously on my feet. I wanted to tell her how sorry I was and how much I just wanted to make things right and move back in with her. But I couldn't. I'm Squid. Badass criminal who doesn't apologize or have any remorse. "It was nothing."

"It was something. You could have gotten kicked out or have that idiot spread rumors that you were the baby daddy but you did it anyway. Even though I know you didn't want to." El said taking a few steps closer so she was standing directly in front of the counter I was working at. "Thank you."

I wasn't expecting it when she leaned over the counter and wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me in for a hug. I was kind of shocked to say the least. We didn't exactly...touch. So there was that time that her parents were being complete pigs but that was only to comfort her! This was different. Even though I was pretty surprised, I still managed to hug her back.

Part way through our hugging session (?) the front door opened and Jack walked in, surprised to see El there. "Ellie? What are you doing here?" Jack wondered with a smile.

"Just coming to visit Squid." El grinned as she pulled away, revealing her baby bump. Apparently neither of us remembered to tell Jack or his fiancé (who I hadn't met but El was really good friends with her) about El's pregnancy. Or the fact that I was the 'father.' Or the fact that we were together at all. We really forgot to tell him anything about us.

"Y-you're-" Jack's mouth kept on opening and closing like he was a fish as he pointed at El's five month baby bump. "-fat!"

El's face darkened as she placed her hands on her hips and glared at my boss. "What did you just call me?"

Jack seemed to notice his mistake and waved his hands wildly, trying to take back what he had said. I knew El, though. I knew she was just joking because I had seen her when she was really pissed and this wasn't it. "No, no, no, no! I meant pregnant! I can't believe you're pregnant!"

Jack pulled her in for a hug before turning to me. He pointed to the two of us. "So you two...?

I scratched the back of my head and nodded. "Yup, I knocked the bitch up." El let her head back and laughed as she playfully shoved me.

Jack let out a low whistle, "Kim is going to have a field day with this. We have to get together and catch up." he eyes El's belly again, "We really need to catch up."

"How about you two come over this weekend? We can have dinner at our place and catch up. I haven't seen Kimberley in ages! Nearly a year..." El trailed off. I vaguely remembered Kimberley Rey from high school. Like El, she was a cheerleader and one of the more popular girls. As I recall, the chick was hot. Like, Miranda Kerr/Megan Fox/Supermodel hot. Her and El were inseparable.

"Yeah, yeah. We'd love to." Jack agreed. I was smiling on the outside but inside my mind was racing. What if I hit on Kimberley in front of El and Jack? What if I accidentally let the whole fake pregnancy thing slip or they figured it out? I mean, we don't have a single picture of us up yet and we barely knew anything about each other. I had a feeling that this would end badly.

We talked for a little bit longer about when they would be coming - Saturday - and a few other details. We had to finally split up when the first customer walked in. I recognized him from school. He was in my math class but I couldn't place his name. But then again, I think it's been proven that I'm not the most observant person in the world.

I gave El a look that said we had to turn off the relationship mode and I jogged behind the counter. It was so awkward seeing classmates outside of school, especially when I wasn't exactly friends with them. Jack gave El a tight hug before saying he had to get to work. While the kid started picking out a CD, El casually talked to me, not trying to give this guy anything to work with.

"Do you want me to wait until your shift is done so I can give you a ride?" El asked, leaning against the counter.

"Nah, I don't want to hold you up. You probably got stuff to do." I shrugged nonchalantly.

"My boss let me off early and I want to get some picture frames and stuff from the craft store next door for when you and Kim come over." She said it loud enough so that the kid from school could hear so he didn't get any ideas about us. Thankfully, Jack was in his office so he wouldn't get confused.

"Yeah? Okay then. My shift's done in two hours." I smirked and El nodded. We noticed the kid had chosen his CD and started toward the counter. El gave me a quick smile before heading to the door.

She waved from the door and I waved back. From outside, I could see her point at the kid and mouth 'he's hot.' I chuckled as I rang up the guys purchase. When I looked up, I could see him staring at me curiously. Sorry boy, I go for girls.

"So did you knock her up too?" he asked and my face darkened. As a professional, I couldn't actually tell him what I wanted to se I settled on the next best thing.

"Haven't knocked anyone up, but I'm getting ready to knock someone out." I handed him his bag.

"Lay off it, Squid. Everyone knows you knocked up that Emily chick." he argued and I rolled my eyes. I knew that this would happen if I helped her out. Sighing, I pulled out a calendar and flipped to two weeks before school started.

"See here?" I pointed to the day I was released from Camp Green Lake. "That's the day I became a free man." I flipped a few months back. "And Emily would have gotten pregnant at around this time." I circled the month. "So explain to me how I could have knocked her up if I was still locked up?"

The kid shrugged. "I'm just repeating what I heard."

"You heard wrong."

The kid scowled as he left the store. The one customer I got all day probably wouldn't be returning. It's a good thing that Jack hadn't heard that whole conversation.

The next few hours seemed to drag on. Only a few other people came in and that was pretty uneventful but soon enough I was getting let off work. Jack caught me before I left and was holding a cheque out to me. "Here you go, Squid."

My eyes widened when I saw the number on the paycheque. "I think you gave me a little too much, Jack."

Jack shrugged, "I heard about you coming in early today and you've been a model employee since I hired you. Consider it a bonus."

"Wow..." I whistled. "I don't know what to say."

"You don't have to say anything. Just buy yourself something nice." Jack shrugged and gave me a friendly pat on the back. I couldn't take my eyes off the amount of money as I headed outside and towards El's car. She was sitting behind the steering wheel, singing along to some Yellowcard song. I didn't say anything to her, I just handed her the cheque.

"Squid! This is great! This means we actually have left over cash after we pay our bills!" she grinned and slugged me in the arm. "What are you going to get with it?"

I shrugged. It was funny that we both knew that there was no way in hell that we would be saving the money. We just weren't that kind of people I guess. "Maybe a phone? My friends have been getting on my case about getting one lately."

El tried starting the car as I spoke but it just kept on fizzing out. Sighing, I reached over and turned the key. Immediately, it roared to life to life and she looked at me in disbelief. "How?"

"I've said it before, I've got the magic touch." I shrugged smugly and she rolled her brown eyes.

"Don't be so cocky." El laughed and I simply smirked. I opened my mouth to reply but she covered my mouth with her free hand. "I know that you're going to say something sarcastic and self-centered so don't even speak." She pulled her hand away from my mouth.

"I was actually going to ask what you got from the craft store."

El looked at me, shocked. Most of our conversations just consisted of us mercilessly teasing each other so it was definitely a shock to her when I said something normal. I was really going to say something along the lines of 'my cock has nothing to do with this' but she didn't need to know that.

"Oh, uh...picture frames. Some candles...mainly just stuff that makes us look like a legit couple. And a baby naming book." El answered and I pulled the book out of one of her bags. I flipped through a few of the pages.

"That's weird... Squid isn't in here." I mused and El gave me that 'no shit' look. I flipped to the A section and searched until I found Alan. "You're going to love this; People with this name tend to initiate events, to be leaders rather than followers, with powerful personalities. They tend to be focused on specific goals, experience a wealth of creative new ideas, and have the ability to implement these ideas with efficiency and determination. They tend to be courageous and sometimes aggressive. As unique, creative individuals, they tend to resent authority, and are sometimes stubborn, proud, and impatient."

El started laughing almost hysterically, "That is exactly like you! You're the most stubborn, proud, impatient person I have ever met! Not to mention aggressive!"

"I'm not aggressive!" I argued. As I thought that over, I paused, remembering the time I told Caveman I would break his jaw and the few fights I've already been in this year. "Okay, maybe I'm a little aggressive..."

We pulled up to our house and got out of the car. I helped El carry some of the stuff to the house and we decided that we may as well start taking photos so we could get the developed by the time Jack and Kim came over this weekend. We got out El's digital camera and moved to the living room. (AKA my bedroom)

"So...how do we do this?" El asked.

"Have hot sex and video tape it so I can show all my friends." I answered immediately.

"Sure!" El replied enthusiastically.

"Really?"

"No."

Way to totally crush all my hopes and dreams, El. "Fine, let's just take a bunch of pictures and choose the best ones." I shrugged.

We started off doing goofy faces, like duck face, peace sign, just plain smiling, tongue out, Asian faces. That kind of stuff. We took at least twenty and we started going through all of them, deciding which ones we wanted printed out.

"I like this one." El showed me one where we were both laughing, her head resting on my shoulder and her arms wrapped around my neck. WE both looked happy and in love. That was a look that no one had ever seen on me. I had honestly never seen myself so happy. It was like looking at a different person.

A very sexy, toned, handsome other person who I would totally go gay for.

We chose a few more, one of us smiling normally and another of us squishing our faces together and sticking our tongues out. We decided that it would probably be a good idea if we changed clothes so it looked like they weren't all taken on the same day. I changed into a dress shirt and El changed into a dress and took off her baby bump. We looked pretty spiffy if I did say so myself.

I figured that we couldn't have just selfies so we went outside, put a timer on and that thing where it takes multiple pictures and took a picture of us standing in front of her house, our arms wrapped around each other and both of us doing our best to look like a happy couple. All I could think of was that her boob was brushing against my arm.

So I told El and she burst out laughing, falling into my arms as she laughed. I stumbled back, smirking as I tried to keep us both upright. "I can't even tell you how perverted you are!"

"Whatever, you love me for it." I chuckled as she straightened back up. "On a completely different note, let's kiss."

El jumped away, shocked and confused. "What?"

"We have to look like a couple for when Kimberley and Jack come over. It's for the picture." I explained. El seemed to understand what I was saying and took and took a few steps toward me.

"Okay." she replied nonchalantly. I placed my hands on her hips and she cupped my face, pulling me closer so our faces were only inches apart. I closed off the gap by planting my lips on hers just as the flash from the camera went off.

I know this is totally out of character and cheesy for me to say but I got to get it out...I felt fireworks. Like fourth of July/New Years fireworks that keep on coming and explode into a million tiny sparks. You can call me a girl for saying that but it was the truth.

El was the first to pull away. I could tell in her eyes that she had felt it too. "I-I think we have enough pictures..."

"Erm...Yeah." I shrugged and played it cool. I am Squid. I didn't freak out over the fact that I kissed some girl. Be the badass that you are.

El grabbed the camera and rushed inside, leaving me to follow close behind her. When I got inside, I ripped off my shirt and collapsed on the couch, closing my eyes. I knew that El wouldn't come out of her room for the rest of the night so I simply lay there, replaying the kiss in my mind.

I am Squid, the badass, criminal punk who was falling for Eleanor Jameson.

I wanted to keep on writing! But I knew I couldn't :'( Review!
