It was a rather quiet day in Kuroba residence. Or at least it had been quiet until every resident of the house woke up, and the noise started. However, it still was a rather quiet day, in Kuroba household´s opinion.
Slowly cooking in the kitchen, Shinichi thanked god she had managed to learn how to cook… because honestly, her husband was ten times worst then she was. For some reason, he always managed to blow up the kitchen. And after paying twice to repair it completely, not counting the smaller incidents and fire-man who came to her house from time to time; Shinichi couldn´t take it anymore. So after a few classes, ok maybe not few; she learned how to cook.
Back in the living room, close enough so their mother could keep an eye on them, Shiro and Sora were supposedly studying for an English test they would have the following Monday. However, she knew they didn't study at all… considering the fact that they spend a lot of time with Ai, who still hadn´t learned the difference between what she should teach them or not; it was no surprise they didn´t need it.
Furthermore, now that Shinichi thought about it; who in their right mind taught kids advanced chemistry? Or Physics, math, biology… At least now only Shiro paid Ai attention. That devil managed to hock him with Chemistry. Oh god, when he reaches high school he will hate the classes so much…
Sora, her lovely daughter, was interested in other things. Such as pranks, pranks, magic, and more pranks… If not for the fact she loved Kaito too much, Shinichi would have ended his sorry life long ago… But she loved him, and so did her children… The most she could do was restrain his actions sometimes, not that it helped…
"I don´t want to!" Said Shiro all of sudden, catching Shinichi´s attention. Apparently, they had given up on pretending to study, deciding it was time to do other things. Which in Shiro´s case involved reading, and Sora´s playing with magic.
"But Shiro!" The little girl begged, her violet eyes sparkling. "Today Saguro will come again, and I need to prank him! Dad said I had to prank him always I see him." Her twin just stared at her for some seconds, his own eyes analyzing the little girl.
In the end, to Shinichi´s unhappiness, since she knew she would get a yelled by a very unhappy Akako; Shiro gave in and joined his sisters evil plans, which suddenly were more evil now that he joined with his own ideas. Because if someone who had seen a dead body and hadn´t freaked out joined a half-maniacal prankster… then their target was doomed for life.
"Guys, don´t torture him too much." She begged, knowing there was no way to stop them now. And she was their mother… Oh god, why had Kaito´s genes to be so strong? If only her children could be as quiet as she was… Aside from the adventure and the mystery things… Oh well, forget it.
Sora´s pranks usually involved only hair dye and feather… but when Shiro joined… Nothing went well. The last time they had a sleep over with Misaki, Ran´s daughter, the poor girl went home crying. Shiro decided it would be interesting to see her reaction if all of sudden, in the middle of night, a creepy sound woke her up. The sound was creepy indeed… peas falling into a metal plate in the middle of the night. The little girl had cried all night and day, while Shiro just recorded the experiment and tried to repeat it with Sora. Not that it worked.
"I am talking seriously here!" Shinichi suddenly appeared at the living room, glaring at her children. "If you freak him out again, I will ground you for months!" Poor, poor Saguro… The last time he came, frogs were waiting for him. Oh god, she truly prayed none of them decided to follow their father´s night job.
Taking about father, where was Kaito? His show was supposed to have ended hours ago! Okay, not hours but… She was beginning to worry. The last time he was running late, he ended up being kidnapped. And considering she was HIS wife, she did not like it. The kidnappers still cried at the faint mention of her name… She did not go easy on them, she did not.
"Mom!" Sora suddenly run into the kitchen, grinning happily while showing her their plan. "This is not too evil, is it? We will not be grounded if we do this, won´t we?" They were only six years old… and already were researching the best way to prank someone.
Sighing, she watched the plan while aimlessly cutting the onions. Well, it wasn´t too bad… "As long as nothing happens to Akako, I don´t mind." The girl just smiled, running to tell her brother the news. As if he didn´t know yet. What would happen when they grow up… Oh no, she didn´t want to think about it. Not yet. They were still her babies…
And so, the hours went by, the children doing whatever preparations they needed while Shinichi continued to work on the dinner. Kaito had invited Hakuba and his wife… urg, Shinichi still couldn´t call Hakuba by his name. It went against nature… Well, he invited them over for dinner, and considering it was almost seven o´clock, they were about to arrive.
But where was Kaito? He had been gone for too long for it to be acceptable! And he hadn't called! "If someone dares to kidnap him again, I´ll fry them." Stated an angry Shinichi who was finishing dressing up for the dinner. Thou what she called dressing up wasn´t exactly dressing up. She just changed clothes and put a little bit of make-up, since she hated spending too much time with it.
Looking at her phone, angry, worried and even angrier, she waited and waited and waited for a message, a call, a sign from Kaito. WHERE WAS HE? Why was he taking so long? The show was supposed to have… no, it have ended long time ago. She had called to make sure. So where was he?
A knock at the front door, a cheerful smile from the kids… and Shinichi decided to let go of it for now. For now only. If her husband wasn´t home by the time the dinner was served, she would call Sato-san to search for him. And then, when she found him, she would cut his head off… No, she would take him to see Billy again. That little dolphin missed his long gone friend.
"Good night." A small boy with short dark-red hair and red-brown eyes bowed, smiling at the sight of his friends. He hated when they pranked him, but he still loved spending his time with them. After all, they were the only one capable of following his high intellect. Honestly, he felt like elementary school was such a waste of time…
"Good night." Sora and Shiro stated at the same time, waiting patiently until they victim came into their trap. His mom was standing somewhat far away, so there would be no problem if they followed their plan.
As soon as Saguro took two steps forward, Shiro smirked and cut a small wire… right when his father run after Saguro, since the child had forgotten to take off his shoes… And soon, both of them were covered in blue glue, white and black feathers, and glitters of all colors and shaped!
The twins palled, watching everything with huge eyes. That wasn´t how the night should have started… "Oh oh…" Sora mumbled, taking her brothers hand and running away towards their secret hide off, trying all that time not to laugh.
"Sora! Shiro!" Shinichi yelled angry, thou she also was fighting against the need to laugh. It kind of reminded her the Kid heists… "Must… not… laugh…" she thought, turning around. Laughing at such situation would be… Oh god, she just couldn't hold it anymore.
Three pair of laughter filled the corridor, as Shinichi and Akako lost it. However, there was someone else they didn´t see before… but Shinichi quickly recognized it as Kaito´s. "This is just too… Oh god, I love my kids…"
Hakuba´s face grew redder, and before anyone knew, two grown up man started to run through the back yard, one of them carrying something dangerously similar to a gun. "Akaka, we need to calm them down…" Shinichi stated, worried about her husband. Yes, he was an internationally known thief. And yes, he had escaped from bullets before… However, it didn´t stop her from worrying.
Smiling, Akako took her hand and dragged her inside, taking out a bottle of Vermouth. "Don't worry. I already replaced the bullets, so the worst which can happen to Kaito is dyed clothes." Her son, Saguro, had long disappeared towards the twins' room, where he knew there would be clean clothes and interesting games for him to pass time. "Let´s just relax for a moment."
Sighing, Shinichi took the bottle. Yes, everything would be aright… After all, Akako never was wrong. Joining Akako for a drink, the women talked about everything and anything the whole time, while their husbands entertained themselves by running around the town, promises of a slow and painful death following Kuroba Kaito everywhere. That was a nice night for everyone.
A/N: Yes,I will make a story just with twins... They won, and I lost. No really, they kind of assaulted me and said that if I don´t make it, they will hunt my dreams. The story will come out soon, and some of the chapters I wrote here will appear there too, but kind of improved XD.
Oh, and before I forget: The reasons I names them Sora and Shiro!
Sora: I planed on making her just like her father. So, in her name she had to have something related to him. My first choice was Sora, and I stopped searching for more. I loved it!
Shiro: Now his name was a problem... my sister and I saw a lot of names, and I wanted his to have something to do with Shinichi. At first, his name was supposed to be Seiji, but then I saw Shiro and thought: "Shiro means white... So it may be related to light or something like that. Plus, Kuroba means black feathers. So... white-black feathers sounds nice, since Shinichi is from the light and Kaito kind of from darkness... Plus, I like how Sora and Shiro sound together. Ok, forget Seiji, his name is Shiro" XD
And sothe twins were born.
Okuri Soji: I know, I know... I will surely remake it. When I started writing I was excited, than went to study... and when I came back, all fluff disappeared from my head. XD
Assasin8: Nope... Those were just twins making their point. And yes, they won. XD
ShootingLightStar: I wanted their names to start both with S. (I honestly had to Google FTW since I had no idea what it meant!) The movie will come December 7, 2013... However, considering the time it takes for it to be released on public and reach our eyes and ears, I estimate we will be able to see it next summer or something like that. Oh, and the 18th movie will be released April 19! Apparently the new characters will appear in it!
