Bluestreak sighed as he lay down on his berth. He glanced over to Prowl and smiled. Shadow Stalker was probably recharging on the couch, like she usually did. He honestly didn't know why the femme refused to have her own room, but whatever made the youngling happy.
Bluestreak and Shadow Stalker had quite a scare. Prowl had crashed. The femmeling had started freaking out and almost broke the door down to get out of the unit. It wasn't a major crash, thank primus. All the medic, Ratchet, had to do was reboot the poor youngling.
Bluestreak sighed as he rolled over to his side. The two younglings started school tomorrow. Prowl would go into the new semester with a new set of younglings while Shadow Stalker had to start late with Bluestreak's class. That was worrying. He didn't really know how much Shadow Stalker knew. Most of his attention would probably be drawn to her as he helped her catch up.
Bluestreak shook his helm. That, or Kaymin would have to help the femme. Primus forbid.
Bluestreak glanced down at Shadow Stalker. The two stood in front of the classroom. "Are you nervous?"
The femme shoo her helm. "No, but maybe we should stay with Prowl today! He might crash again, and that other teacher won't know what to do."
Bluestreak smiled. "Serenade will do just fine. She knows to call the nurse, and I sent the nurse all of Ratchet's information yesterday."
"What if Ratchet doesn't get here in time?"
"Medical Ground bridge." Bluestreak smiled. He slowly crouched down in front of Shadow Stalker, and adjusted the youngling's backpack. "You'll do fine. Don't worry about it. I'm sure you'll have the whole class groveling at your pedes in no time. Even Kaymin."
"Kaymin?"
"The other teacher. Really he's my teacher's aide, but he's just as educated as I am."
"So he's your minion?"
"Huh?" Bluestreak frowned. "Uh, sure."
Shadow Stalker nodded. "Good, cause if you were his minion, I'd lose all faith in you."
Bluestreak snorted as the door opened. Kaymin stood in the doorway, a frown on his face. "Since when am I your minion?" He glanced down at Shadow Stalker and looked back over to Bluestreak. "I thought you were only getting one youngling, and it was a he."
"Kaymin, this is Shadow Stalker. It was adopt one, get one free at the enforcers station."
Shadow Stalker glared at Bluestreak. "If you didn't want me, you should have left me!"
Bluestreak stood up. "No! I wanted you!"
Shadow Stalker nodded. "Good. She walked into the room, and glanced around at all the desks. Her optics wide. "There's this many younglings in here?"
"Only thirty." Bluestreak stepped in behind her. "It's actually the smallest class."
Shadow Stalker turned away from the room and walked back into the hall. "I'll wait out here for you to finish."
Bluestreak sighed. "It'll be all orn."
"I'll wait."
"You won't get your mid orn refuel."
"That's okay."
"You won't get go out for recess."
"I'm still waiting."
Bluestreak glanced up in thought. "You'll be alone."
Shadow Stalker frowned. "I'm always alone."
Bluestreak frowned. "It'll make me sad."
"Then cry."
"I'll have to let Kaymin be in charge. And if I do that, I'll end up being the minion."
Shadow Stalker glared. "No you won't!" She quickly ran into the room. "No way in the pit you'll end up as the minion! Over my gray frame!"
Bluestreak smiled. "Good! Then you'll stay in here with the rest of the younglings."
Kaymin smirked as Shadow Stalker glared at Bluestreak. He walked up to her smiled. "Don't worry kid. Bluestreak out smarts everybody as some point."
"I hate him." Shadow Stalker glared. "Where do I sit?"
Bluestreak giggled. "You'll sit back here." He pointed to a desk. "My desk is right behind you. First thing first though." Bluestreak ran over to a cabinet. "You have to make your desk's name tag!"
Shadow Stalker frowned as she walked over to Bluestreak. "What?"
Bluestreak pulled out a white strip of sheet metal. "You get to decorate this, and we'll magnetize it to the top of your desk. That way everybody knows where you sit. You get to decorate it and everything." Bluestreak passed the strip to Shadow Stalker.
Shadow Stalker held the sheet in her servos awkwardly. "I do… I don't want to."
Bluestreak glanced over to Kaymin and frowned. "Why not?"
"I don't know how to write my name." Shadow Stalker glanced down.
Bluestreak frowned. "I see. Can you read?"
"A little."
Bluestreak smiled. "That's fine! That's what you're here for! You're here to learn!" Bluestreak grabbed the femme's servo, and lead her to his desk. He pulled out a paint brush and smiled. "What color do you want your name written in?"
"Black." Shadow Stalker answered.
Bluestreak nodded. He pulled out a small tub, and opened it, revealing black paint. He dipped the brush in the paint, and started scrawling glyphs on the sheet metal. When he finished he placed the paintbrush in the tub of black paint, and smiled. "It says Shadow Stalker."
Shadow Stalker stared at the beautiful glyphs. "My name."
"Yep!" Bluestreak smiled. "Every time we start on a new lesson, you'll have to write that on the top of your data pad. I'll show you where. You can just copy it, just as you see here."
Shadow Stalker nodded. "So pretty."
Bluestreak smiled. "Thanks. The bot I learned to write from wrote just like this. He was my first crush."
Kaymin snorted. "Yeah, I bet he was your sire too!"
"Shut up! He was not!" Bluestreak glared. "He was bonded."
"Home wrecker!" Kaymin snorted.
Bluestreak sneered. "Meanie!" He picked up the metal strip, and placed it on the top edge of Shadow Stalker's desk. "We'll put this here, and magnetize it when it dries."
Shadow Stalker nodded.
"MR. BLUESTREAK! I'M HERE!"
Bluestreak turned to the door and smiled. "Good morning Opal."
Opal stopped when she spotted Shadow Stalker. "Who are you?"
Bluestreak smiled. "This is Shadow Stalker."
"That's a creepy name. You should change it."
Bluestreak frowned. "Opal, that's not nice."
"It's the truth!" Opal yelled. "You told us not to lie!"
"That doesn't mean you have to say everything you think." Kaymin snorted. "Besides, Shadow Stalker is Bluestreak's new youngling."
Bluestreak groaned. Opal glared at Shadow Stalker. "What makes you so cool that you can live with Bluestreak?"
"Bluestreak is stupid." Shadow Stalker huffed. "You can live with him if you want."
"WHAT?" Opal glared at Shadow Stalker. "Bluestreak is not stupid! He is the coolest, most awesome, amazing mech there is!"
"He's a fragger."
"Shadow Stalker! Opal!" Bluestreak stepped between the two. "No more. Opal, you shouldn't start fights like that. Shadow Stalker, don't continue them. And no cursing. Go to the corners."
Shadow Stalker stared at Bluestreak. "What? Are we going to our corners so we can get ready for the fight?" She brought her fists up, and started jumping from pede to pede. "Cause I can kick the scrap out of her!"
"Shadow Stalker! No! You face the wall, and think of what you did wrong. It's a punishment."
Shadow Stalker raised an optic ridge. "A punishment? You mean you don't have a whip or an elector rod?"
Bluestreak and Kaymin Stared at Shadow Stalker with wide optics. Kaymin burst out laughing. "Oh Primus!"
Bluestreak glared at Kaymin. "No, we don't."
"You're weak." Shadow Stalker stomped over to wall, and stared at her corner.
Opal glanced over to Bluestreak. "You're kidding right?"
Bluestreak shook his helm. "Corner."
Opal glared at the floor as she stomped over to her own corner. Bluestreak sighed. "It's going to be a long day."
Shadow Stalker sat at her desk, glaring at the data pad in front of her. She quickly stood up and stomped over to Bluestreak's desk. She shoved younglings out of her way, and slammed the data pad down on his desk. "What the frag?"
The sounds of younglings "Oohhhh!"ing could be heard around the room. Bluestreak glanced up and frowned. "Shadow Stalker, there were younglings in front of you."
"Why the frag do I have to learn about numbers?"
"Don't curse."
"Frag you!"
Bluestreak frowned. "Kaymin, take care of the other younglings. Shadow Stalker follow me." Bluestreak stood up and walked towards the door. He turned back and nodded at Shadow Stalker. "Come on."
Shadow Stalker huffed and stomped after Bluestreak. The two walked out into the hall, and Bluestreak sighed as the door closed behind them. "Shadow Stalker, do you know what frag means?"
"Yes."
"Well, younglings your age shouldn't even know the word, yet alone the meaning." Bluestreak sighed. "Listen, I know this is your first day, and you're bound to make mistakes, but you can't say stuff like that. You can't cut in line. And you can't try to start fights."
"I hate it here!" Shadow Stalker glared. "I hate this! I hate you! I hate Kaymin! I hate Opal! I hate math! Why the frag would a Prime need 57 boxes of 36 packages of Rust sticks?"
"Shadow Stalker! New rule. You can't say the word if you haven't done it."
Shadow Stalker crouched down and hugged her legs. "I hate adults."
Bluestreak frowned. "Shadow Stalker."
The femme tucked her helm in between her knees. "Shut up."
Bluestreak crouched next to the femme. "Don't close down on me, I'm sorry."
"Frag you! You barely know me!"
"Shadow Stalker, the new rule."
"I'm not fragging breaking it! Frag you! Frag! Frag! Frag!"
Bluestreak frowned. He felt the pit of his tank drop. "Shadow Stalker, you're crea-"
"He wasn't my creator!"
"Your last guardian then, did he… Did he make you do things?"
Shadow Stalker's frame started to shake.
"Shadow Stalker, don't go silent, please."
"What does it matter? You can't do anything about it!"
"I'm your guardian now. I'll protect you, remember?"
"Y-yeah."
"What kind of things."
"In-interface… with strangers."
Bluestreak repressed a growl. "You're safe here." He pulled the femme close to his frame. "I won't let anybody hurt you. Unless Prowl pulls on one of your cute antenna. I can't do anything about that."
Shadow Stalker giggled. "He's a stinker."
Bluestreak nodded.
"Why would a prime need so many rust sticks?"
Bluestreak laughed. "You're really stuck on that, huh?"
"I can't even eat that many rust sticks in my whole life!" Shadow Stalker glanced up to Bluestreak. "I don't even think you can."
Bluestreak stared at the femme. "I don't eat that much!"
"Do too!"
"Pshh. You'll see. One day, you'll bond to a Prime, and he'll order that many rust sticks, just to mess with you. I'll tell him to do it too!"
"I hate Primes! They're stupid!"
Bluestreak smiled. "They are kind of stupid. You didn't hear that from me though."
