Things couldn't be better for the new, deeply devoted, yet secret couple of Marley Rose and Santana Lopez. If anything, it was just perfect for Santana, even if she has to be on the down low about what they do, Santana has a mature relationship, she has what seems to be true happiness, nothing was going to take that away from her. As for Marley, she's been more focused in school, more productive at work, it's like Marley evolved as a human being. And for the most part she was happy, she wanted to sing about her happiness but since the Glee club got disbanded, she couldn't. Almost everyone questioned why Marley was so happy, but Marley simply told them "It's my life, and I am happy. No need to ask why." which for most people that would be just that. But for some reason Jake wanted to know a bit more as to why Marley was so happy.

So while it was quiet study time in history class, Jake took the chance to ask "Hey, Marley. I know I asked this, but how have you been?" He whispered towards the brunette whom was trying to focus on her studying. Jake then tapped Marley's shoulders in hopes to get her attention, but his attempt was futile. "Come on, I have been trying to be there for you since the Glee club got dropped. The least you could do is acknowledge it."

Marley gave Jake a mean glare "I was doing the least I could do Jake, acknowledging you would take a lot out of me." she barked before looking back at her book. "But if you must know, I have been doing great. The only thing that could make my life better right now, is if my mom was still alive." Marley continued in a soft tone of voice.

Jake continued his look of concern for a few more seconds then went back to his book, thinking of a new conversation piece to put into play "So.. How's your love life?" he nervously asked.

Marley glared at Jake once more "Do me a favor.. Go back to your book." she demanded with a growl as she went back to work on her paper. But she could feel Jake's eyes gaze in her direction, which made her sigh softly "My love life is boring, nothing is ever going on. Mainly because I don't want anything to go on. I am happier being single." admitted the young Rose.

Jake wanted to press on, and that was sugar coating it. He knew something was up, this was one advantage he had over his older brother, brains were more on his side than brawn. Jake was determined to figure out what was going on in Marley's life, he figured if he wasn't going to be her love life, he damn sure was fixing to know who is.

Santana decided to take the day shift at the bar in North Lima, that way she could take Marley to work as soon as she gets off of school. This gave the two more time to spend together considering that Marley gets back around the time Santana has to get ready. Ms. Lopez was waiting in the parking lot at the school for someone whom she can't express her love to in a public manner, but that didn't matter to her in the slightest. She just cared that Marley was happy.

-Tap, tap-

Santana saw a hand lightly tap the glass of her side of her car, she rolled the window down to see Coach... Principal Sue Sylvester. The Latina cracked a smile towards her former coach. "Hey Coach, what's up?"

"Well sandbags, if I didn't know any better I'd say you look like you had just finished chopping down trees to build that log cabin up in the woods." Sue spoke in a manner that was unsure if joking or not. After a few seconds of silence Sue smiled a bit at Santana "How have you been Lopez?" she asked.

"I have been okay, just slowly realizing how hard it is mentally to take care of another soul that lives with you, but at the same time I'm getting used to it." Santana explained.

Sue rested her sunglasses upon her head and looked out to the field "That's good, that's good. Listen, I got a bit of a proposition for you. Now I can't promise any decent pay, but how would you like to be a co-coach to the Cheerios. I've been getting complaints from a few kids that Roz has been putting horse steroids in their shakes, so I need someone to fill in while she is sent away for questioning." she explained as she lowered herself towards Santana's car window. "I figure it'd be a good thing for your resume, and if you ever wanted to go to school for teaching, well there is a boost in rep for you." Sue gave Santana another smile.

As Santana was about to answer, here comes Marley Rose, happily walking towards the car. "Tell you what, let me sleep on it tonight, and I will give you an answer tomorrow when I drop Marley off." she said. Sue nodded and walked away from the car. "Holy shit.. This could be perfect, I would be the top bitch in Cheerios again, AND I would be able to see Marley more often. I could potentially have lunch with her, as an incognito kind of date." Santana scanned Marley as she got in, and Santana was doing her best not to mack on Marley's lady lips as soon as her butt hit the seat. "How was school love?"

Marley looked at Santana with a half smirk forming on her face "It was good, rather boring but it was good." she spoke while getting her seat belt on. "Ms. Holiday came by to teach history, then at P.E Coach Beaste split us into teams of two and we played a bit of flag football. I only got one flag taken from me throughout the game!" Marley raised her arms up in a victory like pose. "I am a singer, actress, athlete, and I am going to be an awesome cook.. I'm like a quadruple threat." she giggled softly as she lowered her arms "I think the only downside to today, other than having to go to work is.. Jake.."

Santana gave Marley a look of worry, considering that Jake could be the only thing that stands between the couple, Santana had every reason to worry. "What did.. Jake do?" she asked while trying to keep her cool about what potentially could transpire.

"He was pressing on about what was going on in my life, who I was with, how I have been.. I couldn't place a finger on why." Marley explained.

"Oh.." Santana uttered as she started her car.

Jake walked over to the Cheerio's locker room in search of Bree, occasionally checking out the other women that had surrounded him. But he continued to stay focused to the task at hand, locating Bree. He was able to spot the young woman packing her bag to go home, Jake sat on the bench behind her and gave her a sharp look.

"What do you want Puckerman?" Bree called Jake out and she didn't even turn around to know it was him.

"You and Marley got closer, correct?" Jake asked calmly.

Bree slammed her locker, turned around to look at Jake. "We did, until the glee club got shut down. Then I decided to choose my popularity over Marley.. A big decision I regret, but I need to be the top bitch here, and at least it keeps people off of her in the long run." she explained.

Jake gave Bree a rather evil smirk as he stood up and walked to her "I knew you wouldn't be willing to sacrifice for her, that's what separates me and you." while talking he shook his index finger towards Bree. "You deliberately chose to hurt her, not even giving it a second thought prior to what could happen."

"You're one to talk, you couldn't stay faithful to Marley, hell you slept with me!" Bree belted out as she clenched her fists. "I would have been with her, for her. Not to get in her pants, not to try to get anything out of her." she continued, her muscles tensed in anger. Rightfully so, deep down Bree has hated herself for what she said to Santana. The last thing she wanted was to be interrogated by Jake of all people.

"You, faithful? You having a heart? What a fucking joke, almost like everything about you Bree." Jake slowly walked back while keeping an evil smirk on his face. "You are just a whore, that's what YOU do here. You act slutty." he continued to insult Bree.

Bree was close to exerting anger on Jake, she stormed up to him, her forehead pushing against his. "You need to learn one thing Jacob.. You need to learn to leave things alone, and shut.. The fuck.. Up.." she threatened then shoved him against a locker. "You don't know me like you pretend you do, I had my fun with casually fucking. That pregnancy scare.. I don't want sex in a relationship anymore. What part of that does not compute in your stupid brain?"

Jake raised an eyebrow "Stupid? I am stupid now? You were the one who wanted me in the first place." his voice was in a lower tone, yet it was also louder. "I honestly would not have cared for you had you not made a move on me, you asked for sex and I delivered. It was your call not mine!"

"Bullshit Puckerman. You didn't have to cheat on Marley, you could have waited, you could have tried to make things better, and you didn't." Kitty chimed in from around the corner, and it was safe to say that she was not in the greatest of moods. "You had a fight with Marley, boo fucking hoo. Why don't you grow a pair and think with your brain instead of your penis?" she asked while walking towards the two. "In fact why don't you just leave, right now before I call in Principal Sue and claim that you were sexually harassing one of the girls in this room, and you won't know which one I will use to get you in trouble." Kitty's voice was more threatening than Jake's at this point, especially since Bree was semi frightened of Kitty.

Jake scoffed then left the room.

"I could have handled that.." Bree spoke as she put her backpack on.

Kitty smirked "No you couldn't, and honestly.. I was sick of hearing Jake complain about his screw up. So I needed to say something." she explained before putting her lanyard on. "I was gonna go to Starbucks, wanna tag along? I have some questions I'd like answers to."

Later that day..

Santana approached the parking lot of the fast food place Marley works at. She figured it would be a nice surprise to Marley, and some other form of a romantic cliché that she obtained through romantic comedies and daytime drama shows. Santana just hopes that Marley will be able to take what news she has. Marley was finishing up her shift when she noticed her girlfriend walk through the doors of the restaurant, and Marley was filled with glee at the sight. The brunette quickly clocked out then ran to hug Santana as tight as she could.

"I missed you." Marley admitted with a smile formed on her face.

Santana couldn't resist chuckling "I missed you too, can we have a talk? Just us two?" she asked in a curious tone.

Marley nodded and grabbed Santana's hand, taking her towards the back where the employees usually relax, but since it was close to the night shift, only a couple people work the restaurant, so no one would be able to bug Marley and Santana.

"So.. I have some potentially good news, depending on how it would affect us." Santana was indeed nervous, but confident in that Marley would like the idea of what was going to happen. Not like Marley could object much to Santana on this matter. "Sue offered me a coaching position, I am not being paid by the board though. Sue is gonna pay me out her pocket since I don't have a teaching degree of any sort."

Silence filled the room but emotions were not so quiet as Marley's face lit up a bit "That's great actually." she said with a hint of excitement. "That means I don't have to be completely alone at that school anymore."

A sigh of relief is heard from Santana, that weight she had was no longer on her shoulders. "Yeah I was actually scared. No one at that school really knows about you and I," Santana stressed as her slight smile turned into a full frown. "bad things could happen to the two of us.." she looked at the floor, beginning to feel a bit of regret in accepting the job.

Marley observed Santana's expressions very closely "Hey.." she called out to Santana as she walked to her, placing her hands on the Latina's shoulders. "Santana, look at me." Marley demanded. Santana slowly looked up at Marley. "Let's go somewhere. Just the two of us, right now."

Santana chuckled softly "Where would you like to go?"

The brunette looked up for a few seconds then back at Santana "Let's go to someplace only you know.. Damn I think I quoted off a song too." Marley started to giggle which made Santana giggle with her.

"I think I know of a good place." Santana stood up and took hold of Marley's hand.

They both walked towards the outside of the restaurant, then towards Santana's car. Marley was very excited to see what Santana had in store for her.

It didn't take them too long to get to where Santana had planned on taking the two. Santana pulled into this park, it was a bit late at night so being at a park wasn't Marley's idea of fun.. Not at first at least. Santana parked the car and turned the car off.

"Santana why are we-"

"I used to run away from home a lot, when I was younger.." Santana spoke ever so softly as she undid her seat belt. She sighed once then got out of the car, shutting the door behind her.

Marley followed suit, now curious of what Santana's life was like prior to joining McKinley. "Why did you run away? I met your mom, she seems really nice." she pointed out with a curious tone of voice.

Santana sat on a bench, patting the spot next to her. Marley sat beside Santana, keeping her eyes focused on her girlfriend. This was going to be one of those times where Marley won't let up when it comes to Santana's life.

"When I was 11.."

Santana and her parents had just gotten home from their monthly family outing. Personally Santana just wanted to listen to music on her iPod that her abuela had bought her for her 11th birthday. Mrs. Lopez was wanting to sit back and read the new issue of Cosmo-Latina that she picked up from the grocery store just earlier that day. Mr. Lopez was always the traditionalist of the family, he felt that this outing that they go on is the only thing that makes the family whole. Now the thing about Mr. Lopez, he worked hard to try and put food on the table for his family, everything he accomplished in life he made sure to keep track of.

"Mijo.. Why is our door open?" Mrs. Lopez asked worryingly. The car stopped and she got out of her seat to go check the house, gasping at the sight of what had happened.

Mr. Lopez got out to see what went down, and his expression turned angry in an instant "Everything is gone.." he softly spoke with his fists clenched. "Was the door locked?" he looked over at is wife with a dead stare.

Mrs. Lopez was backing towards a wall, gazing at how scary her husband was at this moment. "I-I made sure to lock it.. Maybe they kicked the door, or maybe picked the lock." her voice shaky in response.

Giving her the benefit of the doubt, Mr. Lopez checked the door, keeping a sharp look on anything that looked like a forced entry. Unfortunately for them nothing on the door, nor the jambs that kept the door in place. "Well unless they were master thieves, which I highly doubt in this ciudad de mierda! Someone left the door unlocked!" he yelled as he stormed close to his wife, getting a fist full of her hair in the process. "You were the last one at the door! You left it unlocked estupida!" he let go for a few seconds then in one swift motion he smacked her down.

Santana hearing the smack from the front porch quickly ran inside to see a red mark on her mother's face "Mama!" she cried out running to her. Santana hugged her mom's head tight to her, looking at her father with a scared expression "Don't hurt her!" Santana tried covering as much of her mom as she could.

"Santana look around, everything I worked hard for, gone. The house, is a mess! My house is completely thrashed and it's all your mother's fault!" Mr. Lopez had lost it at that point, any and all common sense he did have, to put it simple.. Gone.

"It's my fault Papa." Santana admitted which made both her parents gasp, but Santana's scared demeanor turned protective as she stood up glaring at her father. "Mom forgot her phone.." she gulped but continued to stand her ground.

"S-Santana callete!" Mrs. Lopez pleaded her daughter.

"No mom.. You didn't need to hit her for my mistake, she did nothing wrong father." Santana continued while keeping her glare fixed on her dad.

The older Lopez's eyes dropped to Santana, scowling at the young girl before him. He shook his head "Estupida.." he said, arms shaking a lot. "You stupid rat!" he yelled out as he backhands Santana across the face. "Do you have any idea what you've done!" Mr. Lopez continued as he tugged his hair.

Mrs. Lopez got on her knees, crawling toward Santana "She's your daughter! How dare you hit your daughter!" she cried towards her husband, pulling Santana up to her. "She didn't know better!"

"My daughter? Really? I didn't raise an idiot, I raised someone with something in her head." Mr. Lopez shook his head then pointed at Santana "That thing right here, is not my daughter. You can keep her, I will go knock up some puta and get a better kid than that." he barked at the two. "Estupida.."

Santana quickly got up, tears were streaming down her face as she gave her father an evil glare. "I am not stupid.. You just suck." she softly spoke before sniffling.

"You want to talk like a grown up? Get the fuck out of my house then." her father shouted as he pointed at the door. "Go on! Leave!" he pressed on "That'd give me one less idiota to deal with!"

"I.." Santana walked towards her dad, muscles tensed up "Am NOT STUPID!" she yelled as she shoved her dad onto their glass table, shattering on impact. Santana quietly sobbing "You hurt mom too much! Yelling at her, telling her how much you regret marrying her. I hear it, she clearly hears it. The whole neighborhood hears it!" she yells out.

Mrs. Lopez's eyes were wide at the events she had witnessed, unsure of who to check first "S-Santana.. Mija.. Calm down.." she slowly tries to make her way to Santana.

Santana looking over at her mom, then her dad, seeing him struggle to get up. Santana screams once before running out of the house whimpering out "No, no, no, no.." as tears fall from her face. She eventually made it to a park, a park she never realized was there.. It looked like it was recently constructed, Santana didn't care though. She just needed to rest her legs, poor thing was tired from the constant running. Santana sat down on the bench, shivering a bit from the cold, but also her body was filled with a lot of adrenaline from what she did.

When hope was lost for the young Latina, a sharp voice was heard not far from her. "C'mon Sparky! We don't have all night! We have championships to win!" as clear as day the voice was from a "One Sue Sylvester". Sue waited as a teenage girl ran to her, exhausted as all hell. "You think that's hard, you should try getting dental work while doing sit-ups, while doing a perfect split. THAT'S hard!" Sue blurted out with fear being put into that young girl. The coach noticed a shivering Santana Lopez across the grass from her, she sighed once "Head to my car, and do 200 push-ups." she calmly demanded before walking towards Santana. "Young lady, are you okay?" Sue asked as she sat on the seat opposite of Santana, she took notice of the mark on Santana's face. "Mommy or daddy?" she asked.

Santana tucked some hair behind her ear, giving Sue a trusting look "My dad.." she answered, knowing what Sue was asking.

"Do you need me to call the cops?" Sue furrowed her eyebrows a bit, almost awaiting to pull her phone out to call the cops for Santana's sake.

Santana shook her head "I think the cops are already called.. We got robbed and I didn't lock the door right.." she softly explained, her eyes squinted angrily towards the table. "I didn't know better.. I thought locked meant locked, and he hit me for it." Santana started grinding her teeth.

Sue stood up, walked around towards Santana, then took off her jacket and gave it to Santana. "It's getting late, you should probably go back, or go to a friends house that's close by.. Keep that jacket kiddo, I got 50 more at home just like it and I got a shipment of 100 coming in Friday." Sue explained with a slight smile on her face.

"Thank you mam.. What's your name?" Santana took the jacket and smiled up at Sue.

"Cheerleader Coach Sue Sylvester. McKinley High School, and yours?" Sue kept her smile at Santana.

"Santana Lopez.. Middle school." Santana stood up and put the jacket on, keeping an eye on Sue for a few more moments. "Thanks again Coach." she bowed at Sue before walking away.

"And that's what kick started me being a total bitch. I was tired of being taunted that I figured, if I did the taunting, no one would dare try to taunt me." Santana leaned her back against the bench table. "My mom divorced my dad shortly after, then we lived with my abuela for about a year and a half, then found the house that you visited with me when I introduced you to my mother." she finished as she looked over at Marley with her lower lip bitten.

Marley pursed her lips, biting on the inside of her lip to hold back tears from what she had heard. She ran her hands through one side of her hair, not being able to touch base on what to say for a few moments. "I can't.." she gulped. "I can't believe that was what you had to deal with.. How many people know?" asked the brunette.

Santana wrapped her arm around Marley's waist and pulled her close. "You are the only one who knows outside of my family and Sue. Be shocked, Britt and Quinn don't even know." she smiled at Marley, leaning against her gently. "I would run here whenever I wanted to just.. Get out." Santana ran one hand towards Marley's, interlocking their fingers.

Marley sighed softly "You shouldn't have been in that predicament.. It wasn't fair to you or your mother.." she said while grazing Santana's back. Marley was more or less lost for words after that, you can't blame her.

Santana raised up a bit, looking into Marley's eyes "If that didn't happen, chances are, you and I would have never met." she pointed out then gave a light kiss on Marley's hand. "Which means we wouldn't be together right now, having this lovely romantic outing. Even if we spent a part of it talking about my abuse filled past."

Marley shook her head "I just can't get over that San, you deserved so much better than that. People assume the worst about you.. It's not right, you're an amazing person Santana." Marley pushed herself closer to Santana, giving her worried eyes "You have me as proof of how amazing you are.." her face flushed slightly as she gave Santana a soft kiss.

Santana returning the kiss but keeping her lips pressed against Marley's for a while, simply savoring the way their lips feel against each other. A cold chill went up Santana's spine as she felt Marley's hand push her fingers against her back. "M-Marley," Santana quietly called out, lightly pressing her forehead against Marley's. "let's go home.." she gave a slight smirk towards Marley.

The second the couple made it inside their apartment, Marley took it upon herself to playfully press Santana against the wall. Santana gazing at Marley nervously, almost forgetting it's semi taboo in the eyes of the law to be doing something like this with Marley. Santana placed her hands on Marley's shoulders nervously, giving her a sad look "M-Marley.. You know.." she said in between breaths.

Marley looked into Santana's eyes, her eyes focused, her mind set purely on making Santana happy "Know what..?" the brunette asked in a slight worried tone.

Santana was about to ask Marley to stop, but something about the look in Marley's eye made Santana feel as if it would be wrong to do that. She knows how much Marley has devoted herself, how much Marley has taken care of not only herself but Santana. "I need you," she said while taking one hand of Marley's. "and I love you.." she finished before taking Marley into her room.

Pieces of clothing dropped to the floor in the midst of their romantic encounter, Santana taking the dominant role due to her experience, Marley nervously watching on while Santana kisses from the neck to her chest. Soft moans escape from the brunette as she is not quite used to anyone's lips pressing against parts of her chest, she didn't complain though. This is paradise to Marley, the idea that someone she loves very much, and knows more than anything wouldn't hurt her, ravishing her without even getting under the belt. Santana looking into Marley's eyes as she moved one hand towards her breast, nervously biting down on her lip. Marley slowly nodded at Santana, softly whispering at her to continue.

After minutes of foreplay, both women stark on the bed sharing sweet, tender, pristine quality kisses. Santana's hand trails down Marley's body, slowly but gently towards the brunette's inner thigh. A squeak was heard from Marley the second Santana's finger tips touched such place. Honestly, it was kinda hot to Santana's ears, not that she would say it out loud. With a touch of a finger Marley moans out, her face from a peach to red in mere seconds as Santana slid her fingers against Marley's area. Multiple chills went up the brunette's spine with each stroke Santana did, but while doing this, the back of Santana's mind started to trigger a bit, reminding her about Marley's age. Santana moved her hand away from Marley then moved towards the edge of the bed.

"I.. I can't do this Marley.." Santana spoke softly as she looked at the ground.

Marley frowned a bit as she covered herself with Santana's blanket, she knew why Santana wasn't willing, more than understanding Marley was. But fuck, it was exciting to see Santana in that light from a personal perspective. "I am not mad San.. Personally I would have loved experiencing you more but, I understand." she scooted towards Santana, placing her hand upon her girlfriend's shoulder. "Santana.."

Santana shook her head "I am the adult Marley," she stood up, scrambling around for her clothes "it's my job to say 'No' and I didn't do that. I nearly fucked you on my bed, me.. And you almost had sex." she pressed on in a panic, struggling to put her clothes back on. "You're just.. Fucking.." she continued struggling to get her pants on. "Fuck!" she cursed out. Santana did have the right to be frustrated, that was easily a given.

Marley quickly wrapping the blanket around her while she got up, she walked to Santana and took one of her hands. "Santana," she called out but Santana was just shaking from how upset she was. "Santana!" Marley's voice became louder. "Look at me. Please." she furrowed her eyebrows.

"I can't.. I can't.." Santana yanked herself away from Marley "I can't! I can't look at you without wanting to do what we almost did, I could go to jail as is just for kissing you in THAT way, but getting you naked and touching you.. I'd be labeled as a pedophile!" Santana's voice was more scared than ever, and she had a point behind this.

"S-San-"

"No!" Santana moved towards the door, tears were falling down her cheek "I need to leave.. I'm sorry." she spoke before walking out the door, storming towards her purse that was laying on the coffee table.

Marley storming towards the living room, keeping the blanket wrapped around her. "You promised you wouldn't leave me," she said which made Santana stop in her tracks. "remember..? When my mother went to the hospital.. You promised you'd take care of me no matter what.." her voice raised in pitch as tears formed. "We never needed to have sex Santana, you know that. I just want you, not your experience in bed." she gulped a bit trying to prevent more tears from falling. "I mean come on, I could live my life without ever having sex. Just as long as I could spend it with you I'd be more than satisfied." Marley slowly but surely made way towards Santana. "Please don't leave me.. You promised.."

Santana looked up at Marley from the door step, regret filled the Latina's eyes as she said "Sometimes.. People break their promises, it's best you learned that sooner, than later." she then shut the door, leaving for her car in tears.

And just like that, whatever heart Marley had left, broke. She looked down at the floor, tears falling onto the carpet, the last person poor Marley expected to break their promise, did just that.. Her lips quivered, her breathing shaky, she dropped to her knees. "Fuck you.." she whispered out in anger "Fuck you Santana.." she sobbed into her hands.

"Listen, no matter what happens.. I promise, I will take care of you."

Marley punched the floor once "You're a fucking liar.." she continued to cry into her hand.

A/N: Trust me, the last thing on my mind was ending the chapter the way I did, but don't worry too much, I already got some stuff for the next chapter being worked on already. Ya just gotta trust me. Anyways, do that thing I love you doing.
