Who thought I'd ever update this again, huh? How long's it been; over a year?

Anyway, I recently got the inspiration to continue this story due to a few new ideas. Let me know what you think, as always!

The party of Alizarin, Luke, Valerie, and their guide, Achak, continued along their path through the pathway of Sendoff Spring. Thick fog had descended upon the group with no sign of letting up. The tall grass reached up to Luke's chin and to Alrizarin's and Achak's chests. The itching and tickling of the blades of grass annoyed Luke to his last nerve. He decided that he couldn't take it anymore. "How much longer?" he blurted. "I'm sick and tired of this place!"

Achak nodded patiently. "Yes, it would seem that the path is longer than I had expected. Fret not, for we have almost arrived at the entrance to Giratina's resting place."

Alizarin turned and looked up at the spiritual man. His eyes narrowed, not out of anger or distrust, but of curious uncertainty. "So," he began, "you're really planning to call upon Giratina for help?" Achak nodded in response. The pair of siblings listened as they continued to trek through the mist. "But you must know why Giratine was sealed away in the first place, right? It was too strong for even Arceus to control."

The ghost-lover beamed. "Ah, you have studied Sinnoh mythology, have you?"

Alizarin stuffed his hands in his pockets. "Yes, I have. The creationist story and the hidden myths of Sinnoh have interested me ever since I was little. I discovered even more in my journey through the region not long ago."

Achak nodded once more, approvingly. "I knew there was a reason I liked you, Alizarin. There's more to you than I had imagined; not many natives familiarize themselves with our mythology." He took this moment to take a deep breath, relishing the atmosphere.

"To answer your question," he continued, "I do, in fact, plan to gain Giratina's power. Its power may be incredibly destructive, but I believe that it can defeat Ghetsis and the legendary pokemon that he and his cohorts have summoned."

Alizarin let the thought sink into his mind. He knew Achak was right, yet at the same time he couldn't trust the legendary's power and violent nature. He sighed in defeat. "I guess it's our best bet. We can't risk letting Ghetsis win now that he has Regigigas under his control."

The older man agreed confidently. Valerie hesitated before she agreed as well. Luke, however, clenched his fists. "Well, whatever you have to do to get rid of Regigigas is fine by me. Just let me fight Ghetsis on my own after that.-"

Valerie gripped his arm gently, yet firmly. Luke turned to his sister only for her to shake her head. "Luke, please calm down," she soothed. "Avenging your friends by going in headfirst and angry like this won't do you -or anyone else- any good."

Before Luke could deny her claim, the older gentleman's voice chimed in. "She is correct," he stated. "You will gain nothing from this endeavor if you fulfill it solely based on vengeance. Many men have done so only to perish or to lead the rest of their lives filled with regret."

Taking Achak's words and those of his sister into account, he silently decided to drop the subject and think. Valerie smiled in a bitter-sweet manner; at the very least, they were making progress with her little brother.

As they continued to push through the fog, the group began to notice that said fog became less dense. Alizarin's eyes lit up in astonishment. "Hey, what's that over there?" he asked. The others saw it, too. Ahead of them rested the entrance to a cave of sorts. Its gaping mouth peered at them as the travellers approached.

Achak grinned. "This, my young friends, is what the men and women of old have named Turnback Cave." His companions stared at the structure in awe. Deoplets of water dripped from the edge of the mouth of the cave, suggesting that it had rained earlier that day.

The gentleman turned eagerly to his companions. "Now then, we mustn't waste any more of the time we have left. Shall we press on?" His question required no answer, as Achak paced ahead anyway. The rest of the group followed.

Bright blue lightning bolts and searing hot flames engulfed the sky above Eterna City as the battle raged on. The earthen titan, Regigigas, seemed to be relatively unfaxed by the barrage of elemental attacks. Hilda and N, the respective riders of Reshiram and Zekrom, realized quickly that they were in for an even tougher fight than either of them had imagined. The giant, dwarfing the towers that surrounded it, reached an arm back steadily.

Hilda's eyes shot open. She screamed, "Look out!" Reshiram and Zekrom were then able to nimbly dodge the titan's arm as it swung in their direction. Buildings that were caught in its path were leveled instantly and left nothing but rubble, smoke, and dust. Once the dust cleared, the colored spheres that appeared to be Regigigas's eyes began to glow and flicker in an alternating pattern, followed by an earth-shaking grumble.

The silence following the attack was broken by a low-pitched cackle from the sidelines. Ghetsis, who perched himself on a small hovercraft that floated far away from the fight, laughed heartily and excitedly while he watched the destruction continue. The destruction that he caused. He grinned. "This is just perfect. That meddlesome girl and my ingrateful 'son' cannot hold against Regigigas's power for long." Ghetsis's grin grew wider, although any who could have seen it would not have thought it to be possible. He cackled once more. "Soon enough, its increasing power will reach an unstoppable level." After staring for a moment and examining the monster even closer, his eyes narrowed. "Perhaps even too strong for me to handle."

The overconfident air surrounding the green-haired man left in an instant; the crackling sound a static charge interrupted his thoughts from behind. As he turned, a large, electrically charged feline greeted him with a wide-open maw. He panicked and yelled in frustration. The Luxray had leaped from the roof of a nearby building, and now it was ripping its static-producing fangs into the hovercraft's circuitboard. Ghetsis noticed right away what the beast was hoping to accomplish and, in an attempt to prevent his machine from crashing, began to kick the pokemon. However, he was too late; the hovercraft was now destined to crash. In retaliation, the electric-type growled and sunk its teeth into the human's leg. Ghetsis screamed in agony.

"Luxray, come back!"

The voice echoed and bounced off the various buildings' exterior. The electric feline, pausing immediately at the call of its human partner, removed Ghetsis's leg from its jaw and bounded into the empty street below which, at this point, was only a few feet below.

Ghetsis, however, remained on the damaged machine until the very last opportunity he had to jump. He did so, clumsily, resulting in landing awkwardly on the ground and rolling over. He groaned in pain.

"Nice work," commented the voice. The blue-haired adult standing several yards from Ghetsis was the owner of said voice. Azuro. He, as he walked forward, paused to place a gentle hand on the Luxray's forehead, listening to his loyal companion purr ever so slightly. Directing his attention back to Ghetsis, he continued in the direction of the fallen older man who was faced with an intense glare. "It's over, Ghetsis. Get on your feet and call off Regigigas."

Ghetsis sneered. "Or what? You'll kill me?-" He jumped in shock. Azuro's hand had reached out and firmly gripped the man's robe. The dark, almost abyssal blue that made up Azuro's eyes pierced straight through Ghetsis's pale green ones.

"After seeing what you're capable of, I am in no way afraid to end your life." The Resistance's leader grit his teeth. "If it means that I will be saving the lives of these young trainers and pokemon, and ending this madness you've created, then I will do whatever it takes. Killing you is easy."

Silence; the world seemed to stand still all around them. The battle between the giant and the elemental dragons, which had gone uninterrupted the entire time, was no longer in their minds.

Azuro, clenching his teeth and tightening his grip, brought Ghetsis's face closer to his own. He repeated himself: "You will call off Regigigas."

The man in his grasp sneered. "Not in your life."

Understanding that Ghetsis was bent on carrying out the rest of his plan, the Resistance's leader retorted, "Then not in your life either. Luxray!" The feline growled and released a small amount of electricity to exit its body in preparation for attack. However, it turned its head to the right rather than in its target's direction. Azuro, looking back at his pokemon, seemed confused for a moment before realizing what Luxray had been distracted by.

The man who had attacked Alizarin before, who had the same dark green hair, stood at the end of the street. His expression seemed as dull as ever, and his arms were folded loosely over his chest.

What Luxray and Azuro were truly intimidated by, however, was the Registeel that stood absent-mindedly next to him.
