This strange story starts off on a planet different yet similar to our own most people just call it Eden it's not the most technologically advanced planet only still being in what you could call the "medieval period" but with the help of another version of planet earth their tech has advanced not at the fastest rate but still now you may be asking how did this alternate earth and Eden meet? Well, that's a story for some time later.
On Eden creatures can command the very elements like wind, fire, water, ice, even the light and dark itself or control plant life or other fauna elemental crystals can be mined anywhere for those who don't naturally have these powers infusing them with weapons and gear is popular or injecting them into the body to give people these elements directly is… well if not done properly can be fatal.
There are plenty of sentient life on Eden mainly three kinds humans, dragons of a certain age, and the Fey the fey are and interesting race consisting of human like beings with some animal like traits like and behaviors like you can see snake fey, wyvern fey, scorpion fey, fish fey you name it probably has a fey variation out there somewhere, even dragons at an old age gain the ability to transform into a human like form the humans of earth still don't understand how dragons can do this.
Now that you have a brief rundown of Eden (and my apologies for the tangent about Eden there) let's get to the actual story.
It starts with a very humanoid creature with something akin to fur on most of its arms and a little of it on its ankles it has a very slim figure with a prehensile monkey tail and has a digitigrade (walks with its toes its heels don't touch the ground like the hindlimbs of a cat or dog or deer) it is also capable of producing electricity simply whenever it moves it's muscles the more its move the more electricity produced on top of they have incredible physical strength able to pick up massive trees or boulders and throw them with a single arm it is extremely speedy moving like it was lighting when running. This one in particular is an older male shown by the countless scars all over his body showing off the countless battles he has fought and won.
As he was going about his day per usual a large portal opens up behind him out of curiosity, he recklessly approaches it and is pulled in by something when he awakens, he is not at home that he is sure off he looks around to see multiple other creatures.
One with fish like scales, much taller than him, four legs, large fins that can fully wrap around its whole body these fins look kinda like wings, but its body is covered in mushrooms with a giant one on its back a kind of mushroom known by all back home simply bothering these mushrooms is a death sentence (you'll find out why later).
The second one looks identical to the first one but instead of mushrooms it has something he has rarely seen before you would call it coral just like the mushrooms whatever they do he will not want to find out.
The third has a raptor-like body with pitch black scales and some violet feathers on its arms and the back of its head, piercing red eyes. It is mainly on all fours but can stand upright on its large hind legs if it wants to. The claws look like they could cut through everything and anything in an instant.
The fourth is on all fours has a pale white skin with a thin coating to protect it its veins can be seen under the coating it has four tentacles two directly above its forelimbs one right were its tail should be and the last right in the middle of its back each tentacle has a mouth that has four prongs like some plants he's seen inside these progs are rows and rows and rows of sharp jagged inward facing teeth and to make it worse each mouth has three extremely long prehensile tongues its eyes are so small it took him some time to "see" them (get it?) It seems to suffer in pain from the sunlight despite not being fully conscious yet.
The fifth has a massive shell going upwards into a sharp point at the top its inside its shell so he cant see whats inside the shell but he can see many eyes looking back at him or at least he can feel it.
The sixth is more of a group the all have a raptor-like body, sandy to black shell covering their whole bodies, with a large tail with a stinger on it (kinda like a scorpion tail) it has to medium sized pincers on its arms and six other retracted legs (once again more akin to a scorpion they also have only six extras since they have two raptor legs) they all have a crest that when fanned out looks like a mohawk most are smaller than him expect one who is probably their leader.
The seventh has a body similar to his own it even has similar patches of fur on her ankles expect it's tail looks more like the goliath hounds creatures that try to eat him and his kind when they sleep they're no match for him though due to his superior strength he throws them with ease (for context a goliath hound can be the size of a full grown elephant) it also has two serpent like things coming from its back along with a scythe like thing on its back as well.
The eighth seem to be a group of three the first looks serpent like but has six small limbs to can use to get around the second of this group looks just like the first but slightly larger and it looks like… its decaying held up only by many strings shot from all over its body the final is wyvern like but has four moth like wings, a four pronged tail, two antennae, and two mandibles on the side of its wyvern-like mouth.
The final four look like dimorphodons albeit much much larger it's even bigger than him (granted that's most things here with him) the first covered in grassy green scales nothing seemed to special about it other than its leaf like tail the second one had black scales and a black and white patterns on the underside of its wings the third had more of a purple color to its scales with some hints of darker colors the final one had countless scars all over its body just like him parts of its wings where damaged but stitched back together and a part of its tail was missing up to the leaf like tip and was replaced with some crystalline substance like with the stitched parts of the wings.
Now we can finally continue with the actual plot (only took me three pages to do so).
After everyone is awake, they look around trying to see if this new environment is safe and if there are any areas to their liking. Their met with stares from the natives of this place they seem shocked at the sight of these things in their home most of them don't understand what these tiny (tiny to most of them anyway) are saying but some do the four dimorphodons seem to understand perfectly along with the creature with the two serpent heads and the snake and wyvern mimics. He gets it as well, not as much as them, but he can comprehend their words even if they have no meaning to him whatsoever.
They all say things like:
"What are those things?" says one.
"Are they monsters? Maybe demons?" says another.
"Their horrifying to simply look at." says a third.
"Mommy can I go touch them?" says a fourth.
"No, dear, stay away from them." says a fifth.
"It doesn't matter what they are, we need to get rid of them immediately!" says the last.
Now you may be asking what world have they ended up in? Maybe this world will sound familiar to you, a world with Mecha's that can only be piloted by females? Ring any bells? It should since that world may be the very one you live in and if so, the news is already on this new story I presume. Let me guess it's titled something like "strange beings in our world?" or maybe "weird creatures flee from the authorities?" If you do live in this world, please tell me how the news views on this occurrence anyway as I was saying what do you call these machines again? Ah yes, I remember now Infinite Stratos or I.S for short a very impressive weapon I must say.
Before long the police arrive to detain these creatures.
"Put your hands up and don't bother trying anything!" The first cop speaks in an assertive tone.
"If you refuse to comply, we WILL use force!" says the next.
They say pointing guns at them this but riddle me this how does a creature react to a gun when it has never seen a gun before? Not afraid at all that's how. They all stand their unintimidated by these tiny beings that stand no chance against them the larger raptor scorpion calls out to its small pack mates commanding them to ready themselves for combat while the other raptor with black scales lets out a cry that sounds like its mocking the policemen before grinding its claws through its mouth and coating them in its saliva before sadistically smiling at them. As they all prepare to fight the older dimorphodon calls to the humanoid duel snake headed monster before it nods in response and the humanoid translates it for them all to understand the translation was "instead of wasting time fighting these people we should find somewhere suitable for each of us and regroup to find a way back home then" surprisingly they all agree so the large raptor scorpion looks at one of its pack mates and chips at him the small one quickly runs up to one of the police and using its tail stings him in the leg and he falls to the ground limp unable to move for a time while they all scatter.
The shelled one comes out of its shell and goes as fast as it can to the nearest path straight to the ocean.
The raptor scorpions flee to the nearest desert-like environment.
The pitch-black scaled raptor goes to find a very hot biome.
The tentacled one burned by the sun's rays runs into a dark alleyway and disappears into the darkness.
The snake mimics and the wyvern mimic the snakes burrow underground the first one goes left while the other goes right and the wyvern fly's straight forward.
The humanoid with the two snakes says out loud "this seems to be japan or at least a version of it so lets find and drink all the saké we can!" says the main non snake like head who seems to be in control of the body most of the time. The left snake responds with "No is that all you really think about saké?" The right snake responded with "Come on Yamata, lighten up and have some fun once in your life!" "Yeah Yamata, just this once?" says the main head. "Ok fine No, Orochi if anything bad happens it's on you two got it?" The other two heads shrug him off and say in syc "Yeah yeah whatever you say." as they walk off to go find their favorite drink saké.
Both the mushroom coated one and the coral coated one go with each other to find a wetter home like some kind of swamp or marsh or large tidal pools.
The four dimorphodons fly off to the sea all heading the exact same direction.
And the member of this group well be following for a while is the other humanoid one using his incredible strength, he jumps on top of a building jumping from building to building no one able to catch him and unlink the others he won't mind sticking around the more populated areas for a bit his current objective is finding his way around this… strange jungle that's the best way he could describe it. As well as investigate that odd giant tower that looks much different than everything around it.
