It was on a sunny weekend afternoon when Jimmy Neutron was in his underground laboratory working on a new invention. Goddard watched as he converted an old 1900's microwave oven into a futuristic piece of hardware with his atom insignia etched onto it.
"There," Jimmy said removing his helmet. "The Instant Mealer 2000's complete!"
Next to him, his two best friends Sheen and Carl carried two precooked lunches in regular containers.
"Ready to give it a test drive?"
"Totally," said Sheen putting his food in.
"Yeah, my tummy's been talking to me," said Carl beside him.
Jimmy asked, "You mean it's been growling all day?"
"I thought it spoke English," Sheen replied.
DONG
The microwave finished cooking in under a second and automatically opened its door revealing perfectly cooked food inside.
"All done in approximately point two seconds," said Neutron.
The pair tried the meals and immediately smiled over it.
"Aaaah, just like ma usta make," Sheen grinned.
"Wait, I don't think I ever met your mom, Sheen," James realized. "Is she nice?"
"She's divorced."
Suddenly, the alarm went off on the lab monitor. Quickly, the boy genius walked over to his seat and looked up the cause. "That's my planetary alert satellite. What could be the problem?"
When the screen pulled up, there was nothing. The satellite showed footage of pitch darkness, but the audio played something rather...disturbing. There was breathing and what sounded like a loud gulp like someone drinking from a Flurp bottle.
"Carl, you don't have a mic in your stomach, right?"
"Yeah, but it's out of batteries," he answered.
"Right... I'll get that looked at after we check and see what's out there for ourselves."
Heading outside the clubhouse from the lab entrance, the three along with Goddard checked the skies and saw more than what the satellite could provide. Perhaps it was for better that it didn't display much, as the stared at the sight of no stars nor clouds. Instead, there was the clear visage of what appeared to be the innards of a stomach. One that when scaled engulfed not just their planet but perhaps half the solar system.
"Cool," Sheen grinned. "We teleported inside Carl!"
"But he's next to us," Jimmy explained.
"Just like the time Goddard was inside Goddard!"
"I'd better contact Danny."
Looking up at what little remained of the sky, Jimmy could see through his binoculars a figure in the distance. Another Earth, albeit animated different than his.
"From the looks of it, it's a mystery greater than all of us!"
NICKTOONS: CONSUMED
It was in deep space where Danny Phantom had returned aboard his parent's personal shuttle with his friends Sam and Tucker partnered with the jolly King Frostbite holding a massive piece of Ectoranium in a tightly sealed container.
"Thanks for the help with the crystal, Frostbite," Danny said to him.
"It has been a pleasure, Daniel," the King gleefully replied.
A ghost portal opened in front of the ship for him to jump into. He exited through before it could close and the rest of the trio continued on their merry way back to earth.
"Hopefully that's the last we'll be seeing of those things," Sam commented.
"Yeah, I love space but I'm tired of goin' out here for this," Tucker shrugged.
"Least we didn't have to find Vlad laying somewhere around these parts," Danny said while piloting. "Although, I gotta wonder where he went all this time. It's been months."
"Probably better we forget about the guy. He never gave us a break and had a weird obsession with cheese and the color pink."
"Ugh... Pink," Sam grunted. "Same guy who got to Frostbite too."
"Oh, he didn't actually beat him," Danny said. "Turns out Frostbite was beating him and just froze himself when he fired an ice beam into a mirror."
"Oh."
Danny touched the control pad in front of him and pulled up Jazz's communications.
"OK Jazz, we're on our way back," he said. "Shouldn't be much longer."
His sister said on the other side, "I'll get the portal open."
Before long, the ship made it close to Earth's view as Tucker commented, "Home sweet home."
"No more space boogers, no more blackmailing and asteroids," Danny smirked. "What's next?"
Just then...
BOOM
The shuttle had to make a quick maneuver around a massive object that warped in front of them. But it wasn't a thing. Rather a person. This moon-sized lizard with an anthro, albeit muscular, build wearing a sleek space-themed suit and having long orange hair flowing despite there being no air opened her long maw and swallowed the Earth whole in a single chomp! All Danny and Tucker could do is stare at the sight of it in abject silence as Sam, equally stunned, made her best attempt at a comeback.
Sam squinted, "You had to ask..."
Overhearing Sam's comment, the giant rotated around bringing her snout close to their ship, smiling as if nothing happened.
"Well hello there," she whistled. "I never expected to see fellow explorers out here." She casually waved her long flowing hair to the side and cocked her head. "I am…Cosma."
Danny activated the megaphones on the shuttle. "You just killed our friends and family and all you can say is hello?"
"Not kill. I just swallowed their planet is all." Cosma rolled her eyes with a smirk. "I was hungry."
"…Ok? I'm Danny Phantom. Nice to meet you, I guess?"
Samantha needed to ask, "Your gimmick is you eat planets?"
"Not always," the giant answered. "It's just easier to curb my appetite that way. You see, I'm a bit of a foodie, and on my days off, I like traveling the galaxies for something…delectable."
Trying not to find humor in it, Danny raised an eyebrow, "And you chose our place?"
"Yes, as soon as I heard of the dishes served here, I just had to try it! Though I'll admit I still feel cravings for other Earths like yours and the ones I've already toured." She brought her large sharp eyes closer to the ship, startling Tucker. "I need more of it.
"No cap, that's hot but I don't wanna experience it," said Danny's friend.
Sam paused, "You said other Earths… Does that mean Timmy or Jimmy's are gone too?"
"Could be," the ghost boy shrugged. "I'll have to call 'em and find out." He faced Cosma again and asked her, "Uh…could you give us a minute?"
"Of course, but do hurry," Cosma nodded. "I have a three-day weekend to enjoy."
"What's your job anyway," Tucker asked.
"Why I'm a shareholder for all things evil. One of the largest in the universe!"
Confused, Sam tried to process the notion. "Wait, so Jimmy's had a League of Villains, we've had an Evil Syndicate, now there's a shareholder for evil development?"
"There's a Syndicate here," Cosma asked and thought aloud. "Hm… Perhaps I should give them a call someday…"
Calling Jimmy with his handy universal communicator, Danny hailed, "Jimmy, you there? We need your…"
Just before he could finish, Neutron arrived through a portal of his own right between both the ship and the giantess behind him. He quickly noticed her, and perhaps used to seeing alien beings like her already, Jimmy simply said, "It's a good thing the Universe Portal Machine is still active. Compared to Poultra and Globulous, this is pushing it!"
"Cosma here says she's been traveling through space eating planets to curb her hunger since she's kind of a foodie. And how're you breathing without a helmet?"
"I figured because I could see Timmy's Earth next to mine before I left." The boy placed his hand on his chin and thought, "Hm… Let's see."
Jimmy turned back around to Cosma and asked, "So you like to eat planets you say?"
"Yes," she answered.
"One moment. I think we can satisfy your hunger to last for days." As he began pressing a few keys on his wrist watch, Jimmy thought to himself, "And hopefully get our worlds back while they're indigested."
BZZZZZ
On the tiny monitor from his watch, a live feed from Spongebob's home in Bikini Bottom was pulled up. Squarepants held his communicator smiling back at a familiar friendly face, and Jimmy started the conversation.
"Sorry Spongebob. I know this is abrupt, but we could use your help."
"Anything for a friend, Jimmy," said the sponge.
"We need you to make us your best Krabby Patty yet."
Spongebob leaned close to the monitor, "You mean a mean krabby patty?"
"A really, really mean one," James nodded. "Yes. Matter of fact make it a platter while you're at it. I'll send Goddard over to pick it up."
"You got it, but it'll take a minute since I'm at home. The Krusty Krab's closed today."
"That's fine. So long as you get it done and get it juuuuust right."
Spongebob saluted, "Comin' right up!"
And with that, Jimmy closed their call and reached in his pocket.
"Now while Spongebob's busy, I'll set the shrink ray to…"
Nothing. Jimmy realized his shrink ray was missing. Not even in his backpack. He pulled out his hypercube, his personal Fenton Thermos, and his porta-portal and quickly checked inside each one. Yet none of them had what he was looking for. It was then that he realized his gadget was stuck back home, which he left using the Universe Portal Machine that he cannot currently activate so as to save power for another phase of his plan. Jimmy froze.
"Danny," he whispered. "I think I left the shrink ray at the lab…"
Likewise, Fenton's eyes widened with fear as he tried his best to smile in front of the gargantuan supervillain staring down at him and his friends.
"Heeeeeey," Danny said nervously. "So... Heheh... You got any family or...?"
"FOOD. NOW," Cosma demanded!
All the tiny ones leaned back and Danny quickly said quietly, "Oh ok. Ok. Uh…"
He thought to himself all his options. He could tell her to eat another planet nearby or perhaps try a quick trick with a ghost portal, but the fact that she teleported is proof enough that she'll find a way. All he can do is hope to stall her long enough for Jimmy to have a brain blast.
"How bout we take you to the Ghost Zone?"
Sam darted at him, "The Ghost Zone?!"
"Trust me on this."
"That sounds fairly ghoulish and definitely not worth fancying over," Cosma replied.
"Yeah, it looks rough, but it's also home to the best chef in the afterlife!" He bumped Tucker's arm "Back me up."
His friend stuttered, "U-uh right! It's…uh…Box Ghost!"
"Why Box Ghost," Sam asked.
"Cause he makes good sandwiches."
The lizard folded her arms and raised an eyebrow, "I'll be the judge of that."
"Right! Just a sec," Danny winked at Jimmy while fiddling with the controls. "We'll open a portal for you."
Quietly, Jimmy input specific coordinates that were sent over to the Fenton rocket. A Ghost Portal spawned behind him revealing his laboratory he easily slipped into before the gate closed.
"Where is he going," Cosma asked.
"To get your big dish when it's ready."
Another, larger portal spawned in front of the cruiser but was too small for Cosma to fit inside.
"It can't get any larger than that," Tucker wondered.
Cosma smirked, "That's not a problem."
She quickly shrunk down to a smaller, much regular height, only slightly taller than the gang is in fact. She was much less menacing this way, though her demeanor still spoke authority and power to them as she kept her arms crossed and stared at them with her sharp eyes.
"Right, I neglected to mention my molecular malleability," she said fluffing her hair. "It's easier to travel the stars when I'm much larger than this."
"Yeah, we guessed," said Sam. "Let's, uh…let's get in and see if Walker'll let us borrow him for a sec."
Danny added, "And let's hope Jimmy and Spongebob are fast enough."
