Chapter Eleven
I woke up to an empty bed, and an empty room for the matter. I stretched, and looked around, Jon's and Sami's stuff was still here. I didn't know where they went, however, there was a note that I overlooked earlier on the night table that read:
Nikki,
Sami, Seth, Roman and me are going down to the gym, we are preparing for our match tonight. Don't worry if you wake up and we aren't there. Love ya sis, Jon.
I smiled, things almost felt back to normal, but what was normal? That was a question I couldn't answer just yet, however I knew that whatever the answer was, I would find out as long as I was with my brother. I decided to get up, and walk the two steps to the next room where Alyssa and Sam slept. I was still in my clothes from yesterday, when I knocked on my friends hotel room door. "Go away, we are sleeping." I heard Alyssa giggle. "Open the door, its me." I yelled back. I heard sheets rustling, and finally the sounds of lazy feet trudging across the floor. Alyssa opened the door, and walked away only to collapse back on the bed. "Why are you guys so tired?" I asked. "She popped a few pills last night." Sam said. "What kind of pills?" I inquired.
"While you guys get high, I have to go make a phone call." Sam said, getting up, and walking out of the room. Sam had always been the tuff one. If it wasn't for her then Alyssa and Nikki wouldn't have survived this long. She had no choice, she had to grow up fast. Her life at home wasn't an easy one, and once her parents found out she was gay, they kicked her out of their house. She was a teenager, with no money, no job, no car, and a family that didn't want her. She was naïve at that age, as time went on, living on the streets, she grew up fast, in her own fucked up way, she was strong, responsible, she just needed a chance that no one was willing to give her, at least until Alyssa and Nikki came along. Sam lit a cigarette as she made her way down to the lobby pay phone. She only had one person in mind to call, and it had been several years coming. She knew the number by heart, she had repeated it over and over again multiple times a day. She dialed the number, and waited for an answer.
Sam listened, and waited, finally she heard someone pick up the phone, a small childish voice answered, "Hello." Came the voice. Sam was shocked and stuttered a bit, trying to find the right words to say, "H h hi, umm, can I speak to Sydney." Sam asked. The line went silent for a moment, she could hear a woman's voice in the background, "Kaya how many times do I have to tell you not to answer the phone."
"But its for you mommy." Sam could hear the little girl say. Her stomach did a flip, and waited for an answer. She could hear the female voice tell the little girl to go play with her toys, before answering the phone call, "Hello."
"Sydney?" Sam asked.
"This is her, who is calling?" Sydney asked.
"Syd, it's me, Sam."
"Samantha? Oh my god, its really you?" Sydney was now clearly crying into the phone. Sam nodded, but Sydney couldn't see her response, "Yes, it's really me." Sam couldn't stop her flow of tears from spilling either. "Where are you? Are you ok? Do you need anything? I've missed you so much, I was so worried about you." Sydney bombarded her with questions.
"I was thinking maybe we could meet for lunch or something?" Sam asked, crossing her fingers, and hoping for the best.
"Sure, does tomorrow work for you?" Sydney asked, trying to contain her tears.
"That's fine. Just tell me where, and what time?" Sam asked, a smile on her face.
"12:30 work for you, and how about the diner we used to go to all the time?" Sydney asked.
"That works. I'll see you tomorrow then." Sam said, before both girls hung up the phone.
The guys had been working out for almost two hours. Now drenched in sweat, and their workout coming to an end, their conversation had been mainly about Nikki, and her friends. However Seth had been exceptionally quiet about the subject, which wasn't like him. Sure they expected silence from Roman, but never Seth, he enjoyed talking, and speaking his opinion about things, it was one of the reasons why him and Jon had gotten along so well.
On their walk home Jon asked, "So Seth, what's up with you and my sister?"
"What are you talking about, man?" Seth asked.
"Don't think that none of us heard the two of you outside the hotel room last night." Jon said.
"Not to mention you were staring at her the whole ride to the hotel." Roman pitched in. One of the few times he participated in their conversation, clearly he too wanted an answer to this question.
"I don't know what you guys are talking about." Seth played it off. "I have a girlfriend, if you remember correctly." Suddenly Seth was caught off guard by Jon taking him into a headlock. Sami took the opportunity of the bent over position Seth was currently in to literally kick his ass.
"Well Sethie, I'm just warning you, if you ever hurt my little sister I will rip your head off." Jon playfully threatened, before letting Seth go.
"I second that." Sami chimed in.
In all honesty Seth couldn't get Nikki out of his head. She was everything he liked in a girl. Katy was beautiful, sure, she was the type of girl any guy would kill to be with. Nikki was nothing like her. Nikki was different. Her short choppy purple hair, and pierced lip, and tattoo's set her apart from most of the girls, especially the girls that hung around the wrestlers, and even the divas. Sure there was AJ Lee, who had that rebel /punk look about her, but her look was very put on. Nikki was natural, that was really who she was, and Seth liked that. He enjoyed a women who could express herself freely, and didn't care what others thought about her. Like Nikki, Seth expressed himself freely aswell. His hair was his prized possession. The two toned man had to keep his new found fondness for his best friends little sister to himself, at least until he figured out what he really wanted. Right now he wanted to pin Nikki against the wall, and have his way with her. The mere thought of it made his cock ache.
"Hey! Seth where the hell are you going, man? Jon yelled. Seth hadn't realized how lost in thought he was until Jon shock him back to reality. They had started to enter the hotel, however Seth was so focused on Nikki that he continued to walk, past the hotel.
"Oh shit." Seth said, laughing it off, and jogged into the hotel. The guys made it up to their floor, they heard sobbing, and saw a bunch of medics running past them. Jon's heart sank when he saw which room they entered. It was Sam and Alyssa's room. The guys ran up to the room, only to be stopped by a medic. "I'm sorry men, but we have an emergency, I'm going to have to ask you all to go back to your rooms.
"This is our room. We are all together." Jon yelled. He could hear sobbing from inside the room.
"Ok, I'll let you in, we'll need you all to answer some questions after. Just stay out of the way, we need room to work." The medic stepped aside, letting the guys into the room. What they saw made their stomach's sink to the floor. Jon, and Sami's throats went dry.
"I'm so sorry. I left for a second. I didn't know this was going to happen. I'm so sorry." Sam cried.
Phew... That was an intense chapter to write! So there is A LOT going on in this chapter, at the same time there are a lot of unanswered questions as well. The next chapter will answer all of those questions, and I am so excited to post it. I have it written already, just waiting for your reviews before I post it. Let me know what you think is going to happen, and who you think Sydney is?
