WatchTower 3:27 UTC

Barry looked at the unconscious woman in the white bed. He studied the heart monitor and the IV bag next to the bed. Next to him was a pan filled with all the specific tools any medical student could ask for along with a small container holding the bloodied bullets they had managed to extract from Selina's shoulder and lower torso. He listened to the steady beeping of the monitor as it portrayed Selina's steady heart beat. All was green and she had been saved.

Bruce hadn't left her side since Barry and J'onn had ended the surgery over an hour ago. Lucky for them that Barry had minored in medical science and J'onn knew how to operate. They were no Dr. Mid-Night or Mr. Terrific or even Dr. Leslie Thompkins, but they managed to remove the bullets and patch Selina up without any problems. She was, hopefully and without any sporadic movement for a while, be fine.

Artemis and Wally had been angry with Barry and Oliver when they first arrived, having been woken up in their pyjamas in the same bed with their arms around each other. But after hearing about Selina and that Dick was missing Artemis threw on some slippers and a house coat while Wally went running barefoot and in boxers.

M'gann and Conner had arrived as soon as they could after hear what had happened via Conner still being able to hear Clarks conversations over comm. device.

Barry re-checked the heart monitor, took Selina's pulse, checked the IV drip and asked Bruce for help in reapplying the bandages. The look on Bruce's face was harder to read than normal. Then again he was The Batman, master of the poker face. But Barry could guess what he was thinking, hell he was thinking the same things. It was his fault for leaving her alone, if he had been there she wouldn't have gotten hurt, why did he leave her behind in the first place, splitting up had been a horrible idea, where was Dick and who was responsible for almost killing Selina and where can I beat him/her up?

Actually, when Barry really thought about it, Dick missing and Selina turning up shot within the same hour... they knew so little about Dick right now that it wasn't that hard to imagine the possibility that-

Stop it Allen. Don't go thinking like that. No way that could happen anyways. Barry pushed that horrible thought aside. Bad enough with everything being crazy ever since they woke up, Barry could do without thinking about that subject.

He looked at Bruce,

"She'll be fine, you know. No permanent damage to the muscles or any tissue damage and we got both bullets out perfectly. No severed or broken arteries and we sewed her up so there wont be any infection. She'l be out of here in no time."

Bruce did not respond. Of course.

Barry put his hand on his shoulder, a risky move if the Batman was in a very bad mood at the moment. "Hey, if you're worried about Dick I'm sure he's fine. Roy and Kaldur too. Look it's hard on all of us and you don't have to keep up the whole 'Silent Dark Knight' roll. Talk to us, okay? I've done all I can here so I'm going to check on the others. When she wakes up, call me."

He took off the red stained lab coat and exited to medical lab of the Watchtower. He speed walked down the hall until he came to the double doors that lead into the meeting room. When he opened the door, Wally was pacing back and forth at speedster level, then was an inch from Barry's face.

"How is she? Is she gonna live? How bad were the wounds?"

"calm down kid. Selina is fine. She's resting right now."

Wally let out a deep breath. "Oh, good. What about Dick and Roy and Kaldur? Any news?"

Barry looked his nephew in the eye, "No."

300 miles off the cost of California 3:20 UTC

Kaldur'Ahm watched from his seat in the bridge as the crew beneath him worked on directing and maintaining the ship's course. He watched as the ocean floated by in front of him, next to him several holo-screens depicting all security footage and numerous blinking buttons and a map. As Kaldur watched the crew his mind wandered to his most recent actions against the League.

He hoped that King Orin would forgive him, and that Conner and Dick would obey the orders he had given them. Conner he knew would act accordingly, but Dick was another story. He was mentally unstable and fairly traumatized from what Kaldur saw. But at least he was alive and willing to still help. Kaldur only hoped that he would stay clear of-

"Kaldur." A voice said from behind him. Tula stood behind the chair at attention, wearing similar black armor like Kaldur, but with a more feminine physic to it. "I need to speak with you. Alone please."

Kaldur nodded, seeing the distressed look on his girlfriends face. "Inform me once we reach my father's ship." He ordered a crew member. He then followed Tula away from the bridge and into the halls.

"Kaldur have-"

"Not here." He pulled her through the hall, ignoring the crew men and guards until they reached Kaldur's personal quarters. He had had Dick hack into the camera feed and destroy any audio feed months ago before things got... heavy. The video camera's still worked but nobody would be able to hear what they were saying.

"What did you want to tell me?" Kaldur asked locking the door behind them.

"Orin called me. Just over an hour ago before we left. Did you really just leave him there?"

"It was a necessary precaution. You know what would have happened if he or any other League member had been seen in Poseidonis."

"Well he said that they will be staying out of Atlantis for now. But he wanted me to meet him at the Watchtower immediately. He said it was urgent and that Selina Kyle had been shot."

"What? Is she okay?"

The red haired Atlantean shook her head. "I don't know. She was still in surgery at the time. I contacted Conner and M'gann and they were already on their way. You don't know about any of this do you?"

"Before I left I left a fake message to Dick and Conner so Orin could hear, while giving them separate orders via M'gann's mind link. They will wait for my signal and until then to lay low. Orin should have informed the rest of the League of my betrayal and how I contacted Dick and Conner. If Conner is already with the League where is Dick?"

"No-one knows. Kaldur, you don't think that this has to do with-"

"Not unless he has found a way around Victor's safeguard and managed to get the access code. Have you tried-"

"Three times and no answer. I left a few messages but last time I talked to any of them they were in Peru. I'll have to wait until we reach land to make any more secure calls."

"Okay. Make the call back to Orin and head up to the Watchtower the moment we reach land. You should be able to get a clear connection from the Tower and inform Conner and M'gann."

"Kaldur, do you think that maybe... we should tell Wally and Artemis? I mean, this is Dick and Wally is his best friend. They both have every right to now what we are trying to do here."

"Tula, I do not think that-"

"I know that they are retired but Wally would want to know that his best friend, that our little brother, might be one of the bad guys now."

"We do not know that." Kaldur said firmly. Tula was beginning to freak out and Kaldur had to calm her down before something happened. He took her by the shoulders and looked her in the eyes. "Tula, listen to me. Dick is one of the strongest people I know and he can handle it. I need you here right now though and we cannot jeopardize this mission. You are right. We should inform Wally and Artemis as soon as we can but we do not tell the League members under any circumstances. If we do all we have done so far will be for nothing and we will fail."

Tula sniffed, but choked down her fear, know the stakes were to high to be freaking out right now. "I know. Sorry, it's just stress. I will call Victor back as soon as I get to the Watchtower. OH!" She smacked herself on the head. "Neptune I am so stupid! Kaldur, Dick isn't the only one missing."

"What?"
