Chapter 0 will expand on this, but this fic is inspired heavily by another. A lot of the early elements will be rather similar, but overall it will take a very different path. This is a story where the first game was actually a simulation Makoto was forced to endure, one that he thought was real. This deals with both how that affects him, but also how his life actually plays out in

1. Chapter 0: Credit

This fic is heavily inspired by an existing one that I highly recommend (although it does seem to be permanently unfinished unfortunately seeing as it has been well over 8 years) called Hope on a Distant Mountain. This fic has it where the first game was a simulation Makoto was forced to endure. Things I took from it: different personalities for the real students, specifically Taka's; Toko is just Toko; Mikan is Makoto's nurse, Makoto was put in the sim by the Board in order to shut down the luckster program. Makoto was officially named Ultimate Hope. No Despair. Izuru is in Class 77B as Ultimate Hope, he is not well liked for obvious reasons. Oh and the teddy bear was something I liked in it, and I will finally likely have Makoto ask Sakura for training. I believe that is all I took from that fic, which granted does make up a solid chunk of the first chapter or two, but from there I forge my own fic.
