Draco stepped on to Platform 9 ¾ with his parents, occasionally kicking at the house elves who were carrying his stuff. His father was rattling off things he should do before he got to the school, but Draco wasn't listening; he was completely focused on what he was going scream at Potter when he got the chance. He was pissed off that he hardly got any sleep. Any guilt he felt about lying to Harry was gone.

"Look, there's that Potter boy and who's that he's with?" Lucious sneered and Draco immediately started to look around until he saw Harry's tousled black hair. "Is that a dog? A big black dog? This is too good to be true." Since when does Potter have a dog? I don't care! I just need to talk to him! As Draco started towards Harry, someone grabbed his arm.

"Where are you going, Draco? All the prefects have to meet on the train!" Pansy said, pulling Draco away. In the heat of the moment, Draco had forgetten he was a perfect. Harry never mentioned anything about him getting a perfect badge. Maybe it's just another secret he's keeping! Draco bidded his parents farwell (not like his father heard because he was interested in Harry's dog) and left with Pansy towards the train. He was too focused on his anger to listen to Pansy talk about her summer. As the stepped into the train car the prefects for Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff were already waiting. They stood around for a little while until Hermione and Ron stepped in.

"Ron Weasley? The Gryffindor prefect?" Draco burst out into laughter along with Pansy. "Granger I was expecting, but Weasley? The bar must have been set especially low for them to pick you!" Ron glared at Draco the entire they were there, even after he stopped laughing. Draco would occasionally glare back but for the most part, he was trying to listen, even though he thought being a prefect was a fairly straight forward job. He was also focused on what he was going to say to Harry, than he looked back at Ron again. He's knows! Draco was fuming again and could no longer focus; he hadn't even realized that they were released. Pansy tapped on his shoulder which briefly snapped him out of his rage.

"Let's go find Crabbe and Goyle," she said.

"I have to do something else first, but I'll catch up with you." He immediately walked through all the different train cars until he found Harry sitting alone. When he opened the compartment, he was hit with a pungent order. "What is that awful smell?"

"Stinksap. Neville was showing off his new planet," Harry intoned. Then he looked up at Draco and smiled; however this faded when he saw that Draco didn't return the smile. "Is everything ok?" Harry asked as Draco sat down next to him.

"No! Everything is not ok! How dare you keep secrets from me! What if you had actually been expelled? I would have never seen you again! Also, you broke the terms of our relationship by telling Ron Weasley, so you better have a good explanation or else I am literally going to kill you!"

"You mean figuratively?"

"No! I mean literally, you fucking smartass!" Draco shouted, hitting Harry's arm repeatedly.

"Ok! Ok! Just stop! Ron found out on accident! He figured out I snuck out and interrogated me until I told the truth! STOP HITTING ME!" Harry grabbed Draco's arms and held them to his sides as he continued to talk. "As for me not telling you about the expulsion thing, it all happened so fast. I mean I was tempted to just take my wand and run away once I found out, but then I was picked up and had the hearing and then everything worked out. By then I realized I hadn't told you yet and-ARE YOU TRYING TO BITE ME?"

"You saw me, you asshole, and you thought you couldn't trust me enough to tell me that you were almost kicked out of school! And that's another thing I'm mad at you about! 'I need to know you're on my side'? Are you kidding me? I've been feeding you all kinds of information about my father, but I'm not on your side! What is that crap? Is there some secret society of Harry Potter that I'm not a part of?" Harry was silent and just stared at Draco. Draco snatched his arms back and stood up. "If you want to be in a relationship with me then you need to get your priorities in order! It's either your secrets or me and I will not play second banana to whatever people you've been dogging around with! After the feast tonight, you can meet with me in the prefect's bathroom on the fifth floor to tell me what you think!" Draco stormed out the compartment and down the train. Guilt immediately filled his head; he regretted yelling at Harry, when he had really been lying to him all summer. Part of him wanted to go back and apologize, but he had his pride.

Draco remained silent the rest of the ride to Hogwarts with his head in Pansy's lap, including the carriage ride to the castle. He perked up during the sorting hat ceremony and was eager to greet new Slytherins but whenever he caught eyes with Harry, guilt would take away his good mood. He was moping and hadn't even noticed the toad-like woman who had started talking. Pansy had to explain later that she was the new Defense against the Dark Arts teacher who was hired by the ministry, Dolores Umbridge. The name sounded familiar, but Draco didn't want to think about it. After Draco and Pansy led the first years to the common room, Draco made some excuse so that he could sneak off to the prefect's bathroom.

Much to his surprise, Harry was already there waiting for him. Before Draco could say anything, Harry hugged him. It took Draco a bit to respond, but he still hugged him back awkwardly.

"I'm sorry about not telling you, especially when you've been risking your neck for me. Look no more secrets. I'll be sure to tell you about everything that goes on, I promise and I'm sorry about the Ron thing, he said he won't tell anyone and it's just between us four." Us four. Draco frowned.

"Don't you mean us two? I'm in a relationship with you not with Weasley or Granger."

"Well, I just mean, they're the only ones that know and it'll be our secret."

"Fine whatever," Draco sighed, pecking Harry's cheek. "I missed you and we should take a walk around Black Lake sometime. I'm tired and want to go to bed. I'll see you in Potions or Defense against the Dark Arts or whatever class we have first. Or I'll send you an owl or something so that we can set up a date, but good night." Draco kissed his cheek again and started to leave. Harry held onto to his arm. "Good night," Draco said again, pulling his arm back.

"Can't I have a real kiss? I mean we haven't seen each other for quite some time so I mean-!" Draco kind of rolled his eye before pressing his lips against Harry's (just to shut him up mostly). As soon as it happened, Draco pulled away and kissed Harry's cheek.

"Good night."

"Good night."
