AN: Hello, my readers! Here I bring you a special crossover for me, because in this story, my favorite children's movie, 'The land before time', will be mixed with my favorite Disney classic, 'The black cauldron'.
I've been watching that movie for as long as I can remember, since before my younger sister was born and she was born when I was three years old.
That's how much I love that movie and I wish it got more credit.
Anyway, let's start this story.
I own nothing.
The Great Valley.
A very special place in a world where nature was constantly changing and the creatures that inhabited it, the dinosaurs, were persecuted by their natural predators, the sharpteeth.
That place was special because there, various dinosaurs could live in peace, safe and sound from the other dangers of the world, but there was a group that didn't always enjoy peace and quiet, a group formed by Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, Spike, Chomper and Ruby.
These seven little dinosaurs have lived multiple adventures both inside and outside the valley and facing the forces of nature and sharpteeth.
Now, however, this gang stood in a meadow in the Great Valley, with bored expressions on their faces, except for Spike, who was distracted by eating a nearby bush.
"*Sigh* I'm bored." said Littlefoot.
"No more than I. Can't anyone think of anything to do?" asked Cera.
"We could go swimming in the pond. Yep, yep, yep." suggested Ducky.
"Or explore caverns in wall." said Petrie.
"But we already did that yesterday. It would be boring to do it again since we did it yesterday." said Ruby.
"We might as well stay here and rest a bit, couldn't we?" asked Chomper.
"Don't worry, guys. I'm sure we'll figure something out." said Littlefoot being positive.
"Well, I hope that happens soon. How I'd love for something exciting to happen." said Cera.
That's when Spike stopped eating the bush as he noticed something and turned his gaze skyward.
Ducky was the only one of the others to notice, so she approached her little brother.
"Spike, is something wrong? Have you eaten so much that you don't feel like eating more?" asked Ducky knowing what a glutton he was.
Spike shook his head before pointing his snout skyward.
Ducky followed his gaze and what she saw made her gasp in surprise.
"Guys! Guys! Look! Up in the sky!" said Ducky drawing the attention of the others.
They all turned their gaze upward and saw something that left them shocked and confused.
In the middle of the sky was a cloud, but unlike normal or storm clouds, that one was a weird color, and it was moving as if it was churning.
"What's that weird sky puffy?" asked Chomper.
"I've never seen sky puffies like that before, and I've seen lots of sky puffies." said Ruby.
"What that?" asked Petrie.
"I don't know, but I have a feeling that something weird is going on." said Littlefoot.
Suddenly, the strange cloud began to grow until it covered the meadow where the gang was standing and from the center of that cloud a hole opened up through which air began to blow, but inward.
The gang began to feel the current of air increase by the minute, even blowing branches and leaves away.
"Hey… Guys. I don't like this at all." said Cera starting to get scared.
Before they could react, the air current increased so much that it ended up dragging the gang along as well.
They tried to hold on somewhere, but they didn't hold on for long and in the end, each and every one of them was pulled into the hole of the cloud, which disappeared as soon as they were all sucked in.
The gang continued to shout as they went through a tunnel of sorts until they saw a light at the end and when they reached it, they ended up falling on a hard floor, huddled in a single pile.
"Is everyone okay?" asked Littlefoot as they all got up.
"Ugh. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky as she stretched her back to crunch some bones.
"Where are we?" asked Chomper.
That's when they all noticed the place they were in.
It was a tunnel, but unlike the tunnels they were used to, as the floor, ceiling and walls were smooth as flat stone, but what caught their attention the most were the various holes that were there.
There were thousands of them, and they all showed a light of different colors.
"What a strange cave. Although, for some reason, I feel like we've been in this strange cave several times." Ruby said feeling déjà vu.
"Look what you do, Cera." said Petrie.
"What? I didn't do anything." said Cera.
"You wish something exciting to happen and then this happen" said Petrie pointing to the cave.
"Hey, when I said I wanted something exciting, I didn't exactly mean this." said Cera.
"Well you could have specified it a little. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky as Spike nodded.
"Guys, I don't think this is the time for us to fight." said Chomper.
"Chomper's right. The best thing we can do is try to find our way back." said Littlefoot.
"Besides, Cera might have been right, and this could be exciting like she wished." said Ruby.
"Well, I guess so." said Cera.
The gang began to explore the mysterious tunnel.
They stared at the various holes there, some even took a sniff to see if it was the right hole.
Just as Littlefoot passed another hole, he stopped and stepped back a bit before turning his gaze to the hole he had just passed.
It had a glow of a dark hue, but despite that, he was curious, so he started sniffing near the hole.
"Hey guys, I think I found it!" said Littlefoot before the others approached.
"Did you find our way back to the Great Valley?" asked Chomper.
"Sort of. This hole gives off a food smell." said Littlefoot.
Spike decided to check it out by sniffing the smell a bit and after doing so, he licked his lips from hunger.
"If it looks tasty to Spike, then Littlefoot is right. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.
"You sure that right way? It very dark and very scary." said Petrie shivering a little.
"I'm not afraid of the dark." said Cera acting brave.
"Besides, we've been in a lot of dark places, so it won't hurt to be in another dark place." said Ruby.
"Then it's settled. Let's go over there." said Littlefoot as he and the others went through the dark hole, not knowing what would be waiting for everyone on the other side.
