A/N: Greetings everypony, Sir Scribe here with another entry into my time in Ponyville. The last few days were kinda slow and just today, it was just tiring (IRL). Once again, sorry for the hiatus, there have been many factors to my silence on this story. One of those things was a family emergency a while ago. It still lingers in my mind that I lost another family member. I will say this: if you are thinking about suicide and think that no one will notice your disappearance, you're wrong. Remember that if you do the deed, you will hurt a lot more people than you think.

Sorry, I just had to get that message out. It bothers me that bronies are being harassed because they are not afraid of showing who they are. If you are being bullied by someone, just don't listen to them. Their words cannot harm you, no matter how personal it gets. If you know someone who is being bullied, don't be afraid to be the hero for that person. They could use a hero to defend them. In the end, if justice doesn't smile on you, remember that you defended someone, and that's what matters. Please take care of yourself if something happens; suicide is never the answer to anything.

Twilight: MY LIBRARY!

Me: There goes that.

Spike: Twilight?! You're home early!

Twilight: What? Wait, what?! What are all these ponies doing here?!

Pinkie: Scribe said you were having a party

Twilight: You planned this?! Wait, what are you doing? Are you typing everything I say? Yes you are!

Me: Oh dear

Twilight: *mane bursts into flames*

Me: I'M GOING TO DIE!

Disclaimer: I suppose since this is my last. Fanfiction, I-

I grumbled at the bookstack in front of me. I need a job, I thought to myself.

The trip back to Ponyville from Canterlot really opened my eyes to the truth. Like, if I keep getting summoned to Canterlot at the last minute, I'm gonna run out of bits. The money I saved from my time in Appleloosa was beginning to fade. If I didn't get enough bits to make a down payment on my cottage, I'm going to lose it. I sighed as I turned the page in the book Luna gave me.

Princess Celestia and Luna both agreed that I should read the real history of Silverstar the Wicked. Taken from accounts from his closest friends, Silverstar was a decorated war hero against the Draconiquus army. When the war hit him at home, the alicorn turned against his king and fought to exterminate all Draconiqi from the face of the planet. Talk about anger issues.

What makes the legend interesting was the lack of a burial for Silverstar. According to the book, he was the first, and only alicorn to be executed by King Cosmos. There was no ceremony, no honor guard, no nothing. Silverstar went from being a hero to a criminal. If he succeeded, Discord would not have been around for Celestia and Luna to stop him. Talk about fate.

I was about to grab another book from the pile when the door opened. "Spike, I'm ho- SWEET CELESTIA!"

I looked up. Twilight was there with a box full of scrolls. The box fell to the floor. "What-what the hay?!"

I looked around me. Books and scrolls were thrown all over the place. I am a 'Organized chaotic' pony. An academic mess was necessary for me to learn, and it looks like I got carried away.

Twilight looked all over her library. I followed her to see that I emptied almost all the shelves. She looked over at me with an evil look in her eye. "I just cleaned this when I found you! How could you do all this in the week I was gone?!"

I was at a loss of words. She saw me try to explain, but she waved her hoof. "Forget it! GO! Don't come back until I get everything sorted. Find something to do today! I was going to have a picnic with my friends later, but it looks like I will be late, again."

"But Twilight, I can help y-"

"GO!"

My mane stood up and I bolted for the door. The door closed behind me, and I could hear Twilight scream into the heavens. I sighed as I tried to still my overactive heart. I sighed as I checked my surroundings. There had to be a shop that is looking for a helping hoof. I sucked up and entered the Ponyville Plaza.

(3 hours later)

Not a single job opening. I wouldn't think that ponies would be looking for help since everypony had a job that matched their destiny. Time Turner didn't need any help with his clock store (Althought I thought I saw him before with a pegasus behind him), Cheerilee didn't need any help with her classes, even Rarity didn't have any openings. The plaza was buzzing with lively ponies, and here I was, sitting outside a restaurant with no job. My money was wearing thin.

I looked around and I noticed an orange pony pulling a cart across the road. It was the same pony who lent me her old cart when I first arrived. She appeared to be struggling since her cart was full of heavy junk. I walked over and took control of the cart. "Don't worry, I got it," I said.

The pony looked at me funny before she unhitched herself. The full weight of the cart hit me, but I've pulled heavier. "Mighty thanks partner," she said in a Southern accent.

"By the way, thanks for lending me that cart last week," I said.

She looked at me before she smiled. "Yer the pony who bought it off me. I remember ya. Yer mighty welcome," she said. "Mah name's Applejack, and you?"

"Scribe. Scribe Featherhart. I'm the plus one in the Golden Oak Library," I said. I never liked using my last name, but Applejack had that aura of trust around her. I felt like I trusted her enough to reveal my last name.

"Featherhart? The Scribe Featherhart? The writer from Canterlot?"

I nodded. "You've heard of me?"

"Sort uh. Rarity would read yer books with Twilight in the library when ah'm there. To be honest, it's cheesy when they talk about 'em," she said.

I almost forgot that Applejack is basically the most honest pony in Ponyville. Applejack walked a little farther away. I raised an eyebrow. "You ok?"

"Not really. Last time ah met a writer, he almost lived on the farm and tried askin' me on a date."

Well why not? "Ya know some somepony by the name of Trenderhoof?"

I hung my head. "He does that a lot. He tries to take in a culture because he found only one interesting aspect about it. I've been around him alot, especially around the Cheese Festival in Las Pegasus last year."

"Ya went to the Cheese Festival?"

"Well, I tried not to, but Trender insisted that I go with him. It was cool, but then he got to the cider, and then I ended up getting a taxi so he can be home without falling into a well. He likes a gathering, but can get carried away."

"Ah'm sure he does. Our apple cider was what he drank?"

"I don't think so."

Applejack nodded. "Well, here we are."

I looked up, and we were just passing under the archway into Sweet Apple Acres. Wow, that was quick. Applejack motioned me to drop the cart off in the barn. When I walked in, I noticed that there were barrels of half-full apple cider. Apples were thrown everywhere. I unhitched myself and went back outside to Applejack. "I noticed some of the barrels in there."

She looked over my shoulder. "Mah brother is doin' business in the south, so ah'm doing the harvest by mahself. Ah could use some help if yer up to it," she said.

I nodded. "I don't mind helping."

"Excellent! Meet me here at dawn so we can get started. No funny business or yer gonna find yerself out of here faster that a bolt of lightning hittin the ground," she said.

She must be telling me 'Don't pull a Trenderhoof'. "I promise."

She nodded. "Now run along, ah gotta get Applebloom from her club meetin."

I smiled and I walked off the farm. I looked over my shoulder, and imagined Trenderhoof flirting with Applejack. He was real smooth when it came to that sort of thing.

A/N: Well there you go ladies and gents. I am NOT shipping my OC with Applejack if you are thinking this. They are just going to become friends and stay that way throughout the remainder of the story. Personally, I really like Applejack and I think she should be given more attention in the show. She is really amazing, and I just like her. Still not shipping OCxApplejack. Not happening. Until next time, Flutter On!
