Slytherin Student
It was the quietest I've ever heard the Great Hall. Even quieter than when Victoria was sorted into Slytherin.
As I cast my eyes up and down the table I saw many palming their wands. Looking at Dumbledore with open hostility and loathing. I almost felt sorry from him.
Almost.
Turning back to the growing spectacle I looked toward the Gryffindors. They looked like Christmas had come early. Each straining their necks to get a better glance. Ravyn didn't struggle to blend in with the Gryffindors, but if one looked closely you could see the disgust wasn't meant for the standing pair. Another young boy, Creevey, was snapping away with his muggle camera. Occasionally scowling at Dumbledore. It was well known the boy was infatuated with Victoria. Much to the Slytherin Princess' dismayed amusement. I felt my face twist in disgust.
I definitely felt sorry for Ravyn.
Salazar, even the teachers didn't protest. Only Sprout and Berch looked unhappy about Dumbledore's accusation.
And what an accusation it was. Accusing the Malfoy heir and more importantly Victoria Potter of carrying the Dark Mark. I had seen instances of Slytherins challenge the pair. It was not a pretty site.
Interestingly enough the muggleborn Granger looked outraged at the accusation. Since when did she have such a change in heart. She adored authority figures more than Professor Snape hated Weasley. And that was saying something.
"Excuse me Headmaster?"
Victoria's incredulous voice snapped me attention back to the simply historic event. Because everyone would remember the day Dumbledore dug his own grave.
" , I will not repeat myself." Dumbledore said firmly. Looking grim, but anyone knew differently if they were watch his eyes. The unnatural twinkling blue orbs were alight with glee. Like a child during yule.
Dumbledore thought he won.
"What right do you have to demand that I undress headmaster?" Victoria asked softly, an innocent tilt to her head. Choking sounds could be heard and I was one of them. I knew most of te boys would kill to see Victoria undressed. Victoria was one of the most beautiful women he'd ever seen. The princess was oblivious to all the attention she drew, or chose to ignore. But apparently she had seen the lusty eyed and hungry stares.
Dumbledore looked justifiably flustered at Victoria's retort. Each second he floundered for an answer hurt him. Finally he regained compose, shaking his head slightly in denial, but this time Draco interrupted.
"Or were you merely speaking to me Headmaster?" Draco's voice had an innocently curious tint. His head coming to lean of Victoria's shoulder. The girl looked at him fondly, pushing him off, muttering "prat" loud enough for everyone to hear.
I looked around, many were smiling at the pairs familiar show of affection; while some were snickering at Draco's innuendo. The rest were looking at Dumbledore, waiting for his next more. There were always rumors of the man's sexuality. The sound of McGonagal choking didn't help lessen them.
"Th-there have been rumors that one cannot ignore, and I as headmaster have the power to-" Longbottom stood, cutting off the Headmaster.
"Then search as all." He intoned. Meeting Dumbledore's eyed stone faced.
My respect for Longbottom rose even higher than what it already was. Subtlety looking around the table I knew the other Slytherins were in agreement. Because we all knew Dumbledore wouldn't, and couldn't rise to Longbottom's bait.
Diggery also rose, a frown marred the handsome face. "Headmaster it doesn't seem fair of you to single Victoria and Draco out like this." It looked as if the Seventh year boy was pouting. Some of the girls swooned, shooting glared at the headmaster.
"Thank you Cedric." Victoria said softly, shooting Diggery an heart-crushing smile the Hufflepuff preened under. I snorted softly. Diggery was to much of a puppy for Victoria.
"I, Victoria Maria Potter, heir to the Potter fortune, do swear that I and Draconis Lucius Malfoy did not take the Dark Mark. So mote it be." Magic flared around the two before it disappeared. We all waited with bated breath for Victoria's next words. A smirk planted itself on Victoria's face. And Salazar help anyone who found her smile more attractive than that smirk. Oh Diggery so did not deserve that.
"Lumos."
Her wand lit.
The Slytherin table all grasped the table, bench of each other as we fought not to erupt in cheers or show their gaping faces.
Dumbledore looked visibly crestfallen.
"Headmaster." Draco drawled, turning back toward the table. Visibly dismissing the aged man.
"Be that as it may, you two, raise your sleeves." Dumbledore commanded. I almost groaned aloud. Didn't the old man see what he was doing?!
Apparently not.
"Is that not enough for headmaster? I've known Victoria my entire life. Should would never take anything from Voldemort." Neville said, raising once again with angry on his face and arrogance in his stance.
And that's when the Slytherins realized.
Finally a Professor rose.
"Albus! This is preposterous. Accusing children of such a thing! How dare you!" Sprout yelled angrily. Pink botching her cheeks. I looked at Black's reaction. The defense teacher looked angry. Most people had the common sense to guess it was because Victoria didn't get caught. Black's dislike of her was legendary.
Victoria, Draco, Diggery, and Longbottom rose. Shooting the headmaster looks of dislike and wariness. The man was powerless to stop them from leaving.
Just as the rest exited, Victoria gracefully turned on her heel and ripped her's and Draco's sleeves off. Showing pale, perfect, unmarked skin. Victoria bowed slightly shooting a smile that I knew had to go south for everyone in the room.
"This is what you wanted, wasn't it Headmaster?" She said softly, eyes glittering. Covering Draco's bare arm with her hand before exiting.
Through the entire exchange the Headmaster barely got thirty words in.
The door closed softly behind her.
Ravyn
"She is simply astounding." My Lord breathed, he sounded awestruck. I fought not to groan from my curled position on the floor. My mind was pounding after the Dark Lord invaded my memories after my report of what toke place in the Great Hall.
He chuckled gleefully, drumming his fingers on the desk. "Dumbledore has ruined himself. Oh how the mighty fall..." He murmured.
I struggled to rise, finally he toke note of me. With a wave of his hand I was standing and feeling much better.
"You know your orders." My Lord said, staring at me with intensity I knew I probably wouldn't like what would happen next. I inclined my head, turning and making my way towards the door, when I heard my Lord's anger filled voice once more.
"And do not become careless once again. Crucio."
The Dark Lord has never cursed his Elite.
Something was wrong.
Blaise Zabini
"Oh don't be so sour Blaise." Pansy teased. I scowled, pushing her away.
"Don't take it personally Pans, Blaise just wants to be apart of Victoria's entourage." Theo mocked, sipping on his butterbeer.
The Slytherins left soon after the five had left. The common room had been in a sort of celebration ever since.
"Shut up Theo." I growled, slinking over to the corner. The seventh year held up his hands in mock surrender, his eyes alight with amusement,"Or maybe he is upset he isn't in Granger's pants."
The boy easily shield my curse. A smirk plastered on his face before he became serious. "Blaise, have you not learned from Draco's lesson to you? Leave it be." He warned. I nodded curtly. Watching as he went upstairs with Pansy.
Oh I remembered. I remember the Slytherin Prince humiliate me? Over what? Some mudblood no less!
Flashback!
"Zabini, may I speak to you, privately?" Malfoy's drawling voice drew my attention away from the Tomb in my hands. I let out a slow breath, lazily looking up into darkened gray eyes.
"What is it you require, Malfoy." I drawled. I deigned from using the honorific the rest who weren't close to Draco or Victoria used. Malfoy didn't deserve the title. The blond raised a fine eyebrow but otherwise didn't comment on my lack of respect.
"Hermione insisted I thanked you for the help. She loves learning," he leaned in as if to tell me a secret before continuing in a whisper,"in fact she showed me everything she knows not to long ago."
My eyes flashed and I went for my wand. To my surprise Malfoy went right for my throat. Gripping it harshly, squeezing when I moved slightly.
By now the common room was quiet, everyone merely watching with morbid curiosity while their prince strangled me to death.
"Draco," I almost didn't hear the voice, black marks began blotting my vision,"Remember the rules." The voice was stern and firm. The hand flung me away. I landed in the middle of the common room. Coughing for breath. I looked up, glaring at Malfoy while he looked on with disgust. Slowly walking toward me.
"First my sister, now you chase someone who is so obviously mine. You really are thick aren't you." Malfoy drawled, delivering a sharp kick to my stomach. I coughed, rising from the floor.
"I didn't know you were no better than the common muggle, Malfoy." I sneered, despite the situation I found myself in.
He smiled. It was genuine and caring. Malfoy lowered himself to my level, hooking a pale finger under my chin so I can look him in the eye.
"And I didn't know you were so desperate to begin your mothers work." All the while he was smiling. I heard laughter around me. His barb stung, and I fought to control my flushed face. I glared at Malfoy, drawing back to spit on the face.
Malfoy must have read my intent. His face twisted in disgust and anger. Shoving my face away and rising.
"I hope you learned your lesson Zabini, I'd be happy to teach you again." Malfoy said coldly, turning towards the door.
"Oh and one more thing." I heard him say.
I felt the curse before I saw it. I collapsed back onto the ground. Withering from the agonising heat. The last the I heard was Malfoy's wretched voice.
"So you don't hear his screams."
As I blacked out I realized he erected a silencing charm.
Flashback End!
I gazed into the fire. Ignoring all the students around me, as they were ignoring me.
Malfoy humiliated me
Malfoy ruined my reputation, my status.
Malfoy will pay.
A smirk worked its' way onto my face. I rose from my position. I made my way to the exit.
Soon, very soon, Malfoy would regret everything he's done. They all will.
Dumbledore
"What was possibly running through your mind when you dared to challenge them! In public no less?!" Minerva's shout of dismay drowned out everyone else's dismay. I sat behind my desk, hands covering my face.
My plan was perfect. The two were together, they couldn't possibly deny my request or slither out of it in such a public place. A risky plan but perfect.
It had all blown to pieces as soon as the girl opened her mouth. She was so calm it unnerved me. Such confidence in every word she spoke. Even though both of them knew she had it. That blasted smug smirk as Mr. Diggery and Mrs. Granger jumped to their defense.
"I can't belive Neville. Once I get my hands on that boy." He heard Frank mutter. Alice rubbing his arm soothingly.
I groaned again. The press would have a field day. Rita Skeeter will have a field day. This would create backlash I wasn't sure even I could walk away from without wary glances or looks of suspicion.
I rose, calling for silence. Only James Potter looked vaguely happy. Perhaps because his daughter, who he believed a deatheater, was no such thing. Well I was not going to disillusion him. The Potter Lord might help for once if he showed some life.
"My friends. It was my own error, my mistake. I should have corned Mr. Maloy and.. in my office." I said gravely.
"Or maybe, you shouldn't have done it at all." Heads whipped around at the voice, the voice of a student.
"Really Headmaster, we assumed you were smarter, wiser, more cautious. But we were mistaken. You dared to challenge the two most powerful, popular, beautiful people in Hogwarts." The boy drawled. Shaking his head mockingly.
"What do you want Snake!" Sirius spat, I shot him a warning glance. Motioning for the boy to continue. He met each of our eyes with amusement.
"A seasoned politician, and you truly don't realise what you've done?" He asked in astonishment,"You've helped the Dark side immensely. The public won't even be suspicious of Slytherins anymore."
Protest erupted but the boy continued mercilessly, taking another step forward. "The Potters, Longbottoms, Blacks, almost all of you will be forced to release statements of denial of Victoria. The public may know you aren't happy of her sorting, with Longbottom's choices, but to accuse their own children of being a deatheater? To not even defend them. No that's suspicious. "
"Have you come to gloat? How did you even get in here?!" Sirius yelled once again. Making his way to the Slytherin. The boy didn't even acknowledge Sirius, continuing to meet my eyes. A slow smirk worked its way onto his face.
"I've come to offer my services."
Alastor barked out a sharp laugh. "Why should we take your help child." He sneered.
"Because," the boy sneered,"You are losing to children."
Silence.
"And...the Dark Lord is back. Mercy will be for no one." He slide his sleeve up. Showing the ugly, twisted creation of Tom Marvolo Riddle. My greatest mistake and accomplishment.
"We accept." I intoned. Heads snapped to me in surprise. I waved it way. An uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach.
Oh Albus, you fool.
The distinct voice of Gellert Grindelwald rang throughout my mind.
