4: Present

Off in an alleyway, Sasuke walked unknowingly by the walls and when he couldn't find his caller by their usual spot, he decided to ring again; this time following the sound. "Aiya?"

The teen ran towards him and jumped at boy pressing her lips against his. Their tongues were at it with each other, turning and touching and whilst the sun heat overflowed them, Sasuke pulled away to grasped some air "Why are you in such a cheery mood?"

Her straight auburn hair flowed as she landed on the ground from Sasuke's hold; her eyes as dark as his, lit up in happiness "Can't a girl be happy to see her boyfriend?" and kissed him again.

In the gap between two buildings, the couple sat against the brick wall. There was only two ways out of the alleyway, one being the front path that headed to the school they sought to skip and the other was menacing and far back "I really missed you, you know". Aiya poked Sasuke on the arm, "You're supposed to say it back".

"Aiya."

"Yeah yeah, I know. You don't 'express' yourself." The auburn-haired girl laid her head against Sasuke's chest. "You always have been like that. I just don't get why you're so afraid of having emotions. It's like when we have conversations; I'm a lot more talkative while you're just quiet and blunt."

Sasuke chuckled to her statement.

"What's so funny?"

He bent slightly to face his girlfriend "It's called being 'cool and calm'."

"More like dense."

"Yet I'm the blut one?"

"Oh shut up" Aiya looked up, staring at his soft stern lips and in an aroused voice said "I love you" and gave him a peck on the cheek.

Right now, Sasuke is no different to when I first met him. So why do I get this feeling … she tapped her fingers on the hard concrete floor; this is an action Aiya always did whenever she felt the need to question things. "Hey, can I ask you something, Sasuke?"

He raised an eyebrow to her question "Go ahead."

"When I was out of town, did you really go see your Mother? I only ask because before I left, you seemed quite distant. You didn't want to talk to anyone, including me."

Sasuke sighed in annoyance.

"What now?"

"I feel like I've had this conversation before."

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"Sakura. By the way she says 'hello' "

"Sakura Haruno. So you spoke to her about your Mother, your family?"

"You sound jealous."

Aiya's cheeks went a bit red "I don't get jealous. It's just...that…well you two have been friends since you were 10, right? Don't get me wrong, I really like Sakura but sometimes she seems too worried about you". Aiya continued the tapping "You were friends for a really long time, so did you guys ever fall for each other at one point?"

"Elaborate"

"You know what I mean Sasuke. Do I really have to say it?" She stared at the boy in-front of her, her eyes watching his every movement. She sighed giving up "Did you date or fall for her at one point?"

"We're friends so no, I didn't date her and will you stop the tapping, it's annoying."

As Aiya felt a bit happy hearing that, she gave a cheeky smile to Sasuke and carried on tapping "Will you 'express emotion', if I stop?" this time she tapped with both hands. Annoying Sasuke a lot more.

"Okay Okay, I will express a 'less annoyed' emotion if you stop."

A tall man walked pass the alleyway, he wore a black suit and had scars round his left arm. The man swung his key-chain in the air "Shit, its security". The security guard walked up and down the pavement until he heard talking from the corner. "Sasuke we should go. I don't wanna get in trouble."

"A bit late for that."

"Shut up. Let's go this way" she dragged Sasuke by the arm and round the back alley.

"Aiya will you stop dragging me! Let's just get caught."

When the two got near the rear of the alley, a slim-looking girl appeared in the distance; her demeanour seemed to be rather odd and unusual. "Mizaki! Over here!" The teen had bright red hair, stylised with spikes on one side. Her glasses beamed in the sunlight.

Aiya stopped to the sound of her name "Is that… Hoshi!"

Sasuke looked up to see the girl calling his girlfriend, at first he felt quite puzzled but somehow he knew her name. "Hoshi? You mean, Karin Hoshi?"

"You know her Sasuke? Karin Hoshi and I went to the same primary school" she looked closely and noticed that Karin was wearing the same uniform as her "I didn't know she enrolled at Konoha High. Sasuke, I'm gonna go meet up with her. I'll see you at recess, byyee!"

Sasuke watched his girlfriend float off to the girl in red. Why did he know her name? Karin gave Aiya a hug and when she caught Sasuke's eyes, she smiled mouthing 'hello' from the distance. Why does she seem...hmm probably best not to dwell on it. The dark-haired teen tucked his hands into his pockets and walked off in mood.

"For fuck's sakes"

After a long agonizing day at school, some of the gang met up by the lockers. As they were putting away their uwabaki, Naruto lectured Sasuke whilst Aiya, Sakura and Ino have a girly chat. Sasuke tells Naruto to stop being a nuisance and so Naruto gets pissed off. Kiba pokes Shikamaru - for some apparent reason and Shino is ignored by everybody. Right at the very corner of the hall Hinata watches the whole scene from afar.

"So Aiya, tell us, how did you and Sasuke meet? Did he ask you out first?" Ino asked curiously as she always wondered what was so special about this teen.

"Arr…well."

"Was it romantic?"

She rubbed her head in embarrassment "You see… it's actually quite the opposite."

Sakura stared into the eyes of Ino and closing in she whispered "Ino, I don't think she wants to talk about it."

"Why? I don't see the big deal."

"I know right."

They chuckled as Aiya scowled wondering if they were oblivious to the fact that she was right there. "Ex-cuse-me!"

"You're excused" Ino said misinterpreting the situation. Though it only took her a few seconds before she realised her antics "Oh, Sorry."

"Sorry Aiya" Sakura said innocently.

"You can tell us another time, when you're comfortable. Just don't take too-" Ino's mobile went off "long" she read the text and quickly made an excuse to leave.

Oddly enough, Naruto did the same and met up with Ino by their school's entrance. He took a deep breath and in a serious tone said "So Ino, you distract Sakura while I set a few things up. I'll text you shortly and when I do; get her to the entrance okay?"

"Okay"

It was an hour and a half later when the yellow sun was still burning in the sky. By the outskirts of CherryTree Park, Naruto had set up a lovely picnic. He had laid out a few bits and pieces. Foods and drinks: rice balls, cookies, sushi, canned mugicha tea, soda and let's not forget the numerous packets of instant Ramen. (But of course he brang something to heat it up)

"Naruto! Where are you!" Sakura looked to her right but didn't see anyone. "Ino told me to meet you here!"

I wonder what he's up to.

Sakura walked through the entrance and spotted a row of cherry blossoms on the ground. "Cherry blossoms?" confused, the pink-haired teen followed the row of flowers and by the shelter of the park Sakura gasped when she saw Naruto holding up a big sign and a present.

"HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!"

In shock, Sakura dropped her bag on the floor. How could I forget? Today's July 3rd. We're officially a couple.
