Ch.2 Foxes in the mad house part 2
A few minutes later Rika had donned the clinic's nurse uniform, of course she didn't like wearing it, she never liked to cosplay, or wear dresses in general. But a job's a job, she repeated to herself. After she was dressed she walked into the hallway from the dressing room and went to find the Doctor. If today was a normal day she knew she'd find him at the patient wing. As she made her way there she passed by a few of her friends, all of them mad warriors themselves, brought to the clinic to help fight the mad-lords. After a few minutes of searching she found Roland leaning agiast the wall next to a door to one of the patient's room. "Awe there you are Rika." He said smiling. Rika smiled and said "Sorry I took so long doc." "Oh's it quite alright child. It's doesn't matter how long you took, you'r here now and we can began." Replied Roland. "Shall we?" he said justering to the door. Rika only nodded. Roland opened the door and the two walked in. The room was like all other rooms that were used to house the patients, simple white walls and twelve feet from each wall. Roland being the Administrator allowed the patients to bring belongings into their rooms as long as it doesn't affect their condition. This particular room had posters of various sports, such as golf, volleyball, and parkour. There were also posters of various internet memes, mainly involving puns or cats.
Roland and Rika then say the patient that used the room laying on her back reading an ipad. She was a very skinny young woman in her early twenties with dark skin and odd white hair. Roland closed the door and said "Good day miss fortune." The woman turned to the two, smiled and sat up on the bed. "Hey Roland." She said cheerfully. "Hope you don't mind but what's up doc?" "Up is a relative concept." Said Roland smiling. "It has no intrinsic value." This caused the patient to bust out laughing, while Rika just rolled her eyes. "Nurse Rika, would you please take Miss Fortune's vitals while I prepare?" "Yes sir." Said Rika. She then walked over to Rika with a rolled up medical kit. She undid the knoght and unrolled the kit. "We'll start with your pulse." "Well let's not 'beat' around the bush then." Said Fortune. Rika sighed as she grabbed the woman's arm by the wrist. Before she began she could not help but notice the alarming amount of scars on her wrist. The sight broke the teen girl's heart. "Something wrong kid?" Asked Fortune with a smile. Rika sighed and took a breath and said "No it's nothing."
Roland reached into one of his coat pockets and pulled out a tape recorder. He pressed the 'record' button and spoke into it. "March 15th 2014, subject Nadia Fortune, female, age 20. Subject displays a very unique psychosis. Believes herself to be 'immortal.' Has made several suicide attempts to prove to others of her abilities. To prevent any more attempts, she is under constant watch and all sharp objects have been removed from her room. Subject also has one minor problem, has a habit of stealing random objects from around the clinic, pens, kink-kacs etc." Roland stopped recording and said "nurse when you're done, go and check the room for stolen objects." "Yes sir." Said Rika as she checked the inside of Nadia's mouth. Once she was done she went to the wall and found a stack of plastic boxes. She pulled one out of the stack and went around the room, looking for anything stolen. Roland pulled a chair in front of Nadia and hit the record button again and said "Nadia I would like to talk about how you became immortal, where did you gain this power?" Nadia laid back on her mattress and said "Well doc if I tell you that, I'd have to tell you about my shorted past." "I need to know Nadia, I need to understand your past to fully understand what is casing you to behave like this." Said Roland
Nadia chuckled and said "Doc if you're trying g to find out to take away my powers you can forget it. I like this power I can't be killed and I'm going to live forever, why would I give that up?" "What about Carol?" Nadia's eyes shot open and a bewildered look appered on her face. "Didn't consider that did you?" Said Roland. "I've seen it depicted in works of fiction many times regarding characters who are immortal. Whenever they fall in love with someone that person usually dies because the immortal character outlives them. Because of that the immortal uslally come to hate his or her powers." Nadia said nothing. She only got off the bed and walked to the window and looked out, as if looking for something. "Nadia I know you believe that your power is great, but I think it's more along a curse." Roland contuined. "I know how much you love Carol, but she's mortal and are you willing to bear the pain of outliving her?" Nadia said nothing but then turned around and said "Let me see her. Let me see carol, and then were talk." Roland said nothing, but then turned off the recorder and said "Very well."
After a few minutes later the three were walking through the clinic until they reached another room. Roland reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a ring of keys. He ran his finger though them until he found the one he wanted. He inserted it into the keyhole and opened the door. The room has the same furniture as Nadia's or any of the other paihents, except there were no posters. Unlike the other rooms, the walls were padded. Rika know about how much pain the patients are in, but the girl named Carol still scares her. She sat there leaning against the wall of the room. She was a young girl of eighteen with neck length brown hair. The most disidgishing feature the girl had was a large x-shaped scar on her face. As the three entered the room, the girl took notice of them, then her face turned to one of extreme rage. She stood up and clutched her fist and started to growl. Roland moved Rika behind him and raised his hand in front of him and said "Carol, please calm down." The doctor's words were to no avail as the girl let out an inhuman roar. She knelt down, ready to charge at the intruders, when Nadia got in front of her and said "Carol it's okay they won't hurt you." The girl stopped, her full attention on the woman in front of her.
Naida smiled and said "That's a good girl." She then opened her arms and embraced Carol, and kissed her on the top of her head. Roland lowered his arm, knowing that the danger has passed and allowed Rika to walk past him. Nadia then picked up Carol bridal style and sat on the floor while holding the teenage girl. Carol had put her arms around Nadia's neck and buried her face in Nadaia's shoulder. Nadia ran her hand through the girl's hair while occasionally kissing the top of her head. Roland sat across from the couple cross-legged and pulled out his recorder and hit the record button. "Let's pick off where we left of Nadia, how did you get your powers?" Nadia's face became one of sadness as she began to talk. "I told you before I never knew my parents, I was a street orphan. I was taken in by a gang of thieves called the fishbone gang. They raised me and taught me how to fight. They were the only family I had." "Had?" Questioned Roland. Nadia quivered and embraced Carol tightly and said "They were killed a few years ago." "Every single member?" Said Roland. Nadia only answered by nodding. "Who killed them?" Asked Roland. "I don't remember, but who every it was killed me too and that's what awoke my powers." Nadia's voice broke at the end of her sentence and began to cry and buried her face in Carol's shoulder. The younger girl looked up from Nadia's shoulder, her eyes filled with bewilderment. "N…Nadia?" She said.
Then she turned her head and stared at Roland and Rika and her face twisted in rage and started to growl. Roland noticed this and stood up. Suddenly Carol howled and lept off Nadia and charged at the doctor. Roland immedtally moved in front of Rika and held his ground. Carol lunged at him but Roland caught her hands at the wrist. Carol kept pushing forward with inhuman strength but Roland used a small bit his powers to grant himself greater strength, holding the berserker in place. "Carol stop!" Yelled Nadia. She got up from the floor and grabbed the teenager by the waist trying to stop her. While Roland held Carol Rika hand slid back to the door ready to go get help if necessary. Suddenly Roland let go of one of Carol's arms and touched her forehead. Then a purplish energy flared around her head and vanished. Then Carol stopped and her face become calm. Roland let go of the girl's other arm and said "It seems you had an anger attack Carol." Carol said nothing, but tears began to pour from her eyes and she said in a broken voice "I'm so sorry sir I don't know what came over me, Nadia was crying and I just lost it." The same energy went around Nadia's head and she walked over to the girl and hugged her and said "It's Okay Carol, the doc knows you didn't mean it." Roland scratched his chin and said "Perhaps Nadia's crying trigged a defense mechanism, perhaps your feral-self thought I made Nadia cry."
Carol did nothing but cry in Nadia's chest while she ran her fingers through her hair. "I think that's enough for today Nadia." Said Roland. "I'll let you spend a few minutes with carol to calm her down. Rika come, we have another patient to see." As the two exited the room Rika asked "So what do think about Nadia doc?" "Well it's hard to say." Replaied Roland. "I have a theory that the cause of her psychosis steams from survival guilt, if she was the only savior of this fishbone gang death, she thought up her immortality to explain why she survived." Rika sighed at the doc's words. Nadia was such a nice woman, for to experice the killing of her only family was too cruel. "Well then Rika." Said Roland. "Go get dressed and find Rena, we're going into a mind-world today." Rika looked up at the doc and nodded and said "I'll go doc, where should I find you?" Roland turned around and said "In Patricia Anarchy's room." Rika eye's shot huge and said "Panty!" Roland rolled his eyes and said "Yes 'Panty.' But I would appreciate you not saying anyones name she's known in that tone young lady." "Sorry doc., I'll go find Rena and meet you there." With that Rika walked off. A few minutes later Rika was back in her normal attire and was looking for Rena. She passed on of the rooms for more dangerous patient when one of the doors flew open and a young woman ran out screaming, fallowing her was a younger girl with long black hair that went down to her feet, wearing a patient's gown. Rika reconized the girl as Saya Otonashi, a teen girl with fits of animalistic rage. Quickly Rika Ran to the girl as she was chasing the older woman. Just as Saya was about to leap at the woman. Rika grabbed her hair and yanked back.
The animalistic girl snarled and turned on Rika. She tackled Rika and went at her thought with her mouth. Rika quickly positioned her forearm underneath the girls jaw and pushed against her thought to keep her at bay. Saya growled and snarled as Rika kept Saya from sinking her teeth into her thought. Rika saw that the girls mouth was full of blood, most likely from the other woman. Suddenly a young man, a little older then Rika and Saya with brown hair ran to the two struggling girls and grabbed Saya, yelling "Saya please stop it!" "Don't you get it know?!" The older woman yelled, clenching the bleeding limb. "There's no point in trying to help her! She just can't be cured!" "I won't believe that!" Yelled the man. " Not for a minute!" Seduanlly Rena bolted out of the room, wearing the nurse uniform, and grabbed Saya and easily yanked her off Rika. "I'm warning you Saya." She said as she pushed Saya against a wall. "You may be my friend, but the moment you hurt my sister, I will forget that fact." Saya only replied with a snarl. Suddenly the sound of a cello being played stopped the commotion. The song played on the insterment was a sad and dreary one. Saya stopped snarling and became more relaxed. Rena relunkly let the girl go. The music stopped and walking out of Saya's room was an older man in his twenties in a black three piece suit with long brown hair. Thank you Haji." Said Rena. "You always know how to calm Saya down. "No matter what sate my love's mind is in, she always loves my playing." Said the man. Haji Walked up to Saya and picked her up like a bride and said "My love I know you don't wish to hurt those you love. We shall keep trying all we can to help you." "Thanks Haji." Said the other man. Haji smiled and said "No need to thank me Kai, and I do hope you can forgive Saya Mao." The woman said nothing but kept an angered look on her face. Haji took the girl back into her room. Rena started to fallow her when Rika grabbed her arm and said "Hold on Rena. The doc needs the two of us. We're going into a patient's mind-world." "Whose?" asked the blue eyed woman. "Panty's" Rena eyes became wide and said "Oh my. Well, we'd best not keep him waiting." Rika nodded and the two walked off.
Soon the two woman arrived at the room of one Patricia Anarchy. A woman in her very late teens. Her reason for staying at the institute is a severe case of nymphomania. "Geez Doc you make it sound like you two are married or something." "Maybe One day." Rika and Rena stepped through the door to Panty's room to find Roland holding Panty's wrist to stop her from grabbing him. Panty herself even for her age is considered qwite attractive. She has white skin with golden blonde hair that goes all the way down to her butt and has blue eyes. When Rika and Rena stepped in Panty and Roland turned and saw them, Panty smiled and yanked her arms free of Roland and walked towards the two sisters, swaying her hips as she approached them. "Well well, the Nonaka sisters." She said. "Still sexy as ever I see." "Uh thanks?" Said Rika not sure how to gage the blonde girl who was clearly hitting on her. Rika may be straight but she was not blind to the attractiveness of the patient.
Suddnaly Panty slipped behind Rika and wrapped her arm around Rika's waist and groped Rika's breast with her other hand. Rika yelped in a mixture of surprise and slight pleasure. Panty hummed and said "You've got quite the bod Rika, how about it, let's do the nasty." Rika blushed and grabbed Panty's arms trying to pull them off. "Panty you know I'm straight and that I'm dating Takato." "Don't worry about old 'google head' Ri, Doctor-patient confilditality." Said Rika staring to bite Rika's ear. Rika kept her jaw shut trying with all her might to suppress a moan. Rena started to growl like an animal and said "Anarchy, I'm only going to warn you once, let go of my sister right now or-" Panty turned her head towards Rena and said "you can join if you want to Rena we can have a foursome with the doc." Rena growled even lounder and spread her legs out, ready to attack the blonde girl. "Rena." Said Roland. "Control yourself." He then turned to Panty and said "Patricia, Let Rika go so we can start you session." "Like hell we are!" Shouted Panty suddenly becoming enraged. "You're not going in my head until I've some decent sex!" "I knew you'd say that." Said Roland lifting his hand.
Suddenly Roland's hand became like fog and with a burst of super-human speed, he lept at Panty and grasped his fog like hand and grasped it around her mouth. Panty's eye became wide with surprised but then glazed. She became limp and let go of Rika and slumped. Roland caught her and lifted her up bridal style. "Are you alright Rika?" he asked. "Yeah I'm fine doc." Said Rika still blushing and her breathing returning to normal. "I do hope you'll forgive Patricia." Said Roland as he laid Panty down on her bed. "She is here for a reason." "It's fine doc." Rika replied once her breathing went back to normal. "I'm not one to hold a gruge." Rena huffed in annoyance and crossed her arms. "Are you still angry Rena?" said Roland. "Yes I don't like anyone touching Rika like that. I allow Takatao to because she's Rika's mate." "Boyfriend Rena." Rika corrected. "Whatever." "Rena you must understand." Said Roland. "Patricia is psychology addicted to sex and will offer such actions to anyone she deems attractive, and no offence but givin yours and Rika's figures, you'd be ideal targets for Patricia's psychoses." "Well I'm still angry." Said Rena. Rika gently grabbed Rena's arm and said "Rena really it's okay. That's why we're trying to help her." Rena looked at the real genuine smile on Rika's face, casuing herself to smile and wrapped her arms around Rena in a hug, once again pulling Rika's head into her breast. "All right I'm not angry anymore."
Roland smiled at the touching moment between the two sisters. The two finish their embrace and Rika said "Okay doc we're ready." Roland nodded and went to the wall behind him. He then stabbed his hands into the wall and pulled his arms apart from each other causing the wall to spit open reviling a dark corroder. "Shall we?" Said the doctor. The two sister nodded and the three walked into the dark ally. When they were in for a few minutes the corroder closed leaving only Panty in the room.
