Chapter 11: Kagamine Rin and Len

The wind danced around the Vocaloids as they exited the building. Brown eyes scanned the world around her as she breathed in a breath of fresh air. Her smile widening as cars zoomed by and civilians were being stupid.

As they walked, Meiko marveled at everything around her while the Vocaloids laughed and sweat dropped at the same time. "Is Meiko acting a bit childish to you guys?" Miku whispered as she leaned in towards the group.

Nodding theirs heads, Meiko squealed as a little cat meowed in front of her. She bent down, patting the soft fur that nestled her fingers. The cat purred in satisfaction as it skipped away meowing its thanks.

Meiko slightly waved as the animal vanished into the distance And continued walking forward.

Rin looked around to see people staring at them. Specifically, Meiko. Though, it shouldn't be surprising, since the "little bit of time" till Meiko would be fixed was actually three weeks and news probably spread out about the girl who seemingly committed suicide at the bar.

Even, with that in mind, it angered her. What right did they have to look at Mei-chan, their Mei-chan, in that way.

As the group progressed forward, She started hearing whispers floating around them. "Didn't that girl die?"

"Maybe she had a twin."

"No I don't think so. I saw with my own eyes, her committing some type of suicide. Plus she wasn't at the bar for a long time."

"Well how she back then?"

"Zombie. She has to be." A pair of gossiping girls laughed as one of them said, "Ooh. Disgusting! Better stay away from her!"

Rin snapped and waited for the group to be a little far away before yelling, "Oh yeah! What right do you have to call her disgusting! You're gossip makes you disgusting you old wretched hags! Why don't you take your dirty mouths to hell!" She screamed as the ladies glared at her.

She stuck her tongue out at the as they responded with a look of offense. Suddenly a hand touched her shoulder and she whipped around to see blonde and crystal blue eyes. "Rin. What are you doing?"

Rin gritted her teeth at him. "Why didn't you go ahead with the rest? Better yet, why aren't you mad that people are gossiping about Mei-chan?"

One of the ladies gulped and pointed a shaking finger at Rin. "Young man, you should tell your sister here to be more polite!"

Rins eyes flared as the ladies jumped back a little. "No ones talking to you, hag! And he's not my brother!"

The ladies scrambled away as Rin threw and orange at that. Don't know where she got it from though.

Len looked at Rin with wide eyes. "Rin, why did you do that? That's rude."

"Don't tell me what to do, Len. Leave me alone." She spit as she avoided eye contact with him. Len sighed as he put a hand through his hair. "You do realize he others might have left. "

"I know. You should've gone with him, banana idiot."

"Why are you being so mean?"

"Why do you care? I said leave me alone!" Rin said with anger seeping in her voice.

As they quarreled, they failed to notice Meiko who was sadly staring at them from a distance. She turned to Miku and pulled her sleeve. Miku looked at her and smiled. "What's the matter, Mei-chan?"

"Umm. What happened to me?" Mikus eyes grew dark as she remembered the night. But she slowly shook her head and patted Meiko on the head." I'll tell you later. I don't want to talk about it right now."

Meiko nodded in understanding as Rin marched over to the group with a sighing Len trialling behind. Meiko smiled at Rin who instantly perked up and smiled back. She held Meikos hand gently as they walked forward.

Luka sweat dropped as she stopped Meiko for a second. "Umm, Meiko?"

"Hmm?"

"Where are we going?" Luka asked as everyone nodded in wonder. Meiko put a finger to her lip and thought for a second before tilting her head to the side. " I don't know!"

Everyone literally fell on their heads as Meiko laughed nervously. Kaito got up and brushed himself as he looked at Meiko. "Ahh Meiko! It's like you're 16 again!"

Miku poked Kaito as she lifted an eyebrow. "Kaito-kun. You knew Mei-chan since she was 16?"

Kaito laughed as he whipped an arm around Miku who immediately regretted asking. Luka hit him on the head before he could do anything.

Kaito sobbed as everyone walked away without him.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, they made it back to Cafe Vocaloid. Haku sobbed quietly as she hugged Meiko and Neru cried as she tried covering her face with her phone. Everyone looked at her, but she only pouted, "What? I'm not crying! I'm sweating through my eyes, you retards."

They laughed as the UTAU appeared from the shadows. Meiko eyed her suspiciously. "I don't think I've ever met you."

"Correct. Teto Kasane." Miku put her hands on Tetos shoulder as she smiled. "Mei-chan, she is the one who told us how to save you."

"Really? Thank you." Teto curtsied as she smiled. "Very nice to meet you after watching from a distance, Vocaloid 1 MEIKO."

Everyone sweat dropped as Teto raided their pantry for some french bread.

As everyone relaxed (Except for Haku, who fainted from happiness), Len decided he would ask Rin about why she was so mad.

When he approached her she merely glared and gritted her teeth. "What do you want, banana idiot?"

Len sighed at the nickname. "I was wondering why you've been so mad recently, flat chest."

Rin had a vein pop on her forehead. "You little-"

"Don't. Just answer my question."

"I don't need you tell me what to do." Rin snapped as Len put a hand through his hair. He noticed Rin silently watching him and smirked. "What are you staring at, flat chest?"

Rin looked away, not even a hint of blush, which surprised Len. "S-shut up, banana idiot."

"Will you please stop calling me that."

"No."

"If I stop calling you flat chest, will you stop calling me banana idiot?"

"..." Len sighed as Rin stayed silent. She breathed in silently. "I can't take this anymore."

"What?"

"I can't take this anymore."

"Take what?"

"This!"

"What is this?!"

"I hate it!"

"What's it?"

"I hate being your mirror image, Len!" Rin almost whispered, but Len caught that. He stared at her. She looked up at Len. "I hate being your mirror image, Len! I can't stand it!"

She messed with her fingers, a little. "Or I hate how you call me that."

"Rin-"

"It's just. I feel like, we're not two halfs of a whole anymore. Its like I don't even be with you anymore. We use to be with each other all the time, right?" Len stayed silent. "You hurt me, you know. That night at the bar."

Len looked surprised as he lifted an eyebrow. "You, calling me just a girl version of yourself. Its like you said I was nothing to you except that girl who your selled with. Nothing more, nothing less."

"Look, Rin-"

"I wasn't lying, when I said that Len." Rin stopped playing with her fingers and looked up at Len. "When you said what?"

A tint of red spread to Rins cheeks as she looked down again. "When I said... You were everything to me..." She mumbled As Lens face turned bright crimson. She sighed as she looked at Len who turned away. "Len, I don't want to sing with you anymore."

Len looked back at Rin. "What?"

"You. I don't want to sing with you. But I will if I have to."

"Why don't you want to sing with me."

"I hate you."

"Eh?"

"But I can't help but love you at the same time."

"EHHH?"

"S-shut up! You dont have to make a big deal over everything, banana idiot!" Rin pouted as Len smirked. "It's just that, I don't usually have flat chests saying that they love me."

"I said I hated you as well!"

"Either way." He touched Rins cheek and smiled. "I love you too."

Rins face turned red as she turned around. "I- I'm getting my own room while I'm at it! Who knows what you'll do to me!" She marched away as Len laughed.

Suddenly they heard glass shatter as a cry came out as well. Everyone came to see Kaito with a bloody head and nose with Meiko holding a broken beer bottle in her hand, fuming. "That's what you get, Ba-Kaito!"

"Ara~ it seems I drank sake and got my memories back. Ahh sake always does the trick!"

Everyone smiled a the scene. "Godo to have you you back, Mei-chan!" Miku smiled.

Meiko smiled back. "It's great to be back!" She then ran over to Len and Rin and squeezed them. "And it's great to see these to cuties again too~"

Len and Rin sweat dropped as Meiko finally let go of them. Rin smlied at Meiko. "Umm, Mei-chan?"

"Hmm?"

"Can I sleep with you tonight?" Meiko lifted eyebrow. "Why?"

"Umm..." Len grabbed Rins hand as he dragged her upstairs. Rin glared at him as she he laughed and raised his hands up in surrender. "Just because you don't want too sing with me, doesn't mean I don't want to sing to you, my little flat chest."

"Why you-"

"Start the music!

(Len:) Your body temperature, through the thin blanket,
breaks open my lock.

(Rin:) As we silently lock the door,
our gazing pupils are looking for an answer.
(Len:) I erase my childish excuse together with the light.
If I can no longer pick up your hair, then I will also tell lies.

Meiko clapped and nodded her head. She smirked at Rin, "if you wanted to get away from Mr. shota, then you could've just said so, you know."

Kaito: What!
