Crystal's headache hadn't let up at all after she took the pills, if anything it was getting worse as she told the league all the information the men had in their minds. How her father was gathering an army of evil beings to help him, how he was going to attack soon, and how he was strengthening his power by taking other's abilities.

"For them to suddenly want to attack, what's their goal?" Kaldur asked, hand gripping his chin in question.

"Other than world domination?" Robin asked sarcastically.

"Me," Crystal sighed, rubbing her head as the headache was almost blinding it was so painful.

The other's were still confused as they looked at her, wondering why her of all people would be the number one target.

"Why?" Jay asked, dropping from the ceiling vent and onto the couch next to Crystal.

They had all gathered in a different room, trying to gain some privacy from the newbies; which apparently wasn't enough to keep them out.

"Because we're almost eighteen." Sierra said, explaining and touching her sister's arm lightly. "When we turn eighteen our powers hit their peak, and Crystal was the strongest out of all of us. When we turn eighteen our powers are so strong that we will either be good, or bad. He wants us to be on his side; to take over what he's doing."

"Taking over the family business huh?" Wally summed up, furrowing his brows as he watching Crystal squeeze her eyes and bend over slightly. "Hey you okay?"

Crystal shook her head, teeth grinding in pain. Sierra, grabbed her hands, pulling them from her head as they squeezed it too tightly. Her cheeks were slightly pink and her breathing was growing more strained as the seconds ticked by.

"What's wrong?" Sierra asked worriedly, tilting down to look at her sister.

"It feels like something is burrowing into my head." Crystal told her through gritted teeth.

Jay looked at her quickly, her hand whipping out and karate chopping her on the back of the neck, hitting a pressure point and knocking her out. She doubled over, head on her knee's as Sierra reached out and pulled her close to her glaring at Jay.

"Sophia!" Robin shouted, standing up slightly as he gaped at his sister.

"What the hell are you doing?" Sierra asked, holding Crystal to her.

"Don't worry." Jay said, holding her hands up. "Andrew, hand me my bag."

Andrew looked at her carefully, before nodding and tossing her the bag that was in the vent still. Jay was going through her bag with careful eyes, studying bottles that she was pulling out and putting back in. Her eyes lit up as she found the one she needed. She pulled a needle out and let some of the liquid inside as she pulled the plug outward.

"What?" Wally asked, grabbing her wrist and holding it still. "Do you think you're doing?"

"I need to inject her with this." Jay said casually as if everyone knew this.

"It's alright, Jay won't do anything to hurt her," Andrew said calmly, grabbing Wally's shoulder.

Everyone was on edge as she injected Crystal with the serum. Seconds went by before Crystal's face relax and she seemed to not be in pain anymore, making them all relax.

"What was that?" Batman asked, grabbing Jays arm and lifting up the bottle. "This is…"

"The repellant," Jay said, nodding her head in agreement to Batman's thoughts. "Though I wasn't too sure if it would work."

"What?" Robin asked, looking at his sister in disbelief.

Jay slumped her shoulders slightly, feeling shy underneath their analyzing eyes. "We technically haven't tested it yet. We made it in hopes to repel Nightmare's mind attacks."

"And you gave it to her without knowing if it could harm her?" Wally grumbled, eyebrows furrowed.

She shook her head in argument, before stopping and nodding her head as she looked down at her hands now in her lap. "But Crystal is strong! I knew she'd be alright!"

Wally sighed as he leaned over the couch and lifted her up into his arms. "Next time, let's not do that. Leave the gutsy moves to me."

Crystal smiled in her sleep as she nuzzled her head into his neck, feeling better than she had all morning. Her eyes began to peek open, catching sight of Jay slumping over in defeat. "What's going on?" She looked around at everyone before remembering Jay hitting her neck and knocking her out. "Jay! What did you do that for?"

Crystal saw the slump of her shoulders get lower and how everyone was sighing with a shake of their heads. Crystal let her feet his the floor, but hung onto Wally just in case she got wobbly. She seemed to understand for the most part what happened by how everyone looked including her sister. She padded over to Jay, wrapping her arms around her neck and hugging the small girl close. "Thanks for helping. I figured it was something like that, but I wasn't sure. Glad you helped me out."

Jay brightened as she turned around and stood on her knee's while hugging Crystal tightly in joy. She was glad the person she looked up too found her helpful. "Really? I really helped you a lot?"

"Yep!" Crystal answered with a laugh, petting the girl's hair. She looked at the league. "It must be starting already." Crystal glanced at Sierra who was nodding her head in agreement. "It won't be long till he attacks."

Batman looked at Superman, communicating silently with each other. They seemed to have come to a conclusion as they walked out of the room and did their own thing.

"A battle?" Jay asked excitedly, fists clenched in front of her as her eyes shined. "I wanna help!"

"Jay, maybe we should let them deal with this." Andrew said, grabbing the inside of her elbow and tugging her backs lightly.

She looked at him, cheeks puffed out in a pout. "Why? I want to help them!"

"You just want to fight next to Crystal." He sighed, reading her thoughts to the 'T' as her eyes widened and she looked away, trying to hide that that was exactly what she was thinking.

"But it would be pretty cool fighting with her." Jay mumbled, putting her lower lip out.

"Why do you have such an obsession with me?" Crystal chuckled, looking at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, how often do you hear of a super evil, super wanted, super cold villian's kid being on the good guys side? You ditched you parents just to be against them!" Jay said with wide eyes.

"When you put it that way you make me sound heartless in a sense." Crystal said rubbing her neck.

"No!" Jay said, waving her hands in front of her frantically and shaking her head. "I mean it all in a good way!"

"She tends to say too much." Andrew said, flicking her in the back of the head. "And she makes what she say mean the complete opposite of what she actually means."

"Aren't you supposed to talk about your girlfriends good points?" Wally asked, chuckling as he bumped his brother on the head.

"Well it's the truth," Andrew shrugged, hitting Wally in the arm.

"Oh well. If you meant it in good meaning then I don't mind." Crystal said, hugging Jay from the side, making the girl beam in joy and hug her in an iron hold. "I'd like to be able to breathe though."

"So, what are we going to do?" Meghan asked, bringing them back to the main subject.

"We need to think of a careful plan of defense and offense." Kaldur pointed out.

"Why not just pummel them?" Connor asked, holding his fist up. Going straight to the answer for every problem he saw.

"That won't work if they use magic or other means of attacking." Crystal pointed out, making Connor put his fist down try to think of a new way of attack the group.

"I can help on the magic defense." Zatanna said proudly, pitching in her help that she can.

"We can be one step ahead if I can hack into their systems." Robin said, looking at his sister who knew just as much as he did, if not more.

"That'd be pretty hard to do." Sierra answered to him, giving him a slight shake of the head.

Crystal bumped her hand on her arm, giving her a look with a raised eyebrow and a smirk, cutting a look towards Robin and Jay as if to say 'really?'.

"Right," Sierra said with a sigh. "I forgot who I was dealing with here."

"Attacking won't be hard," Artemis said, messing with her bow. "We have all sorts of attacks ranging from close range to long range."

Crystal glanced around at all of them, a small smile creeping on her face. She placed a hand over her chest, feeling the warmth rise up inside of it. Before she met everyone she would have tried to talk them out of it; she wouldn't have wanted them have involved in this any way possible. She always felt like it was her own problem to deal with it alone, but now, she was happy to have people on her side that she trusted.

"You okay?" Wally whispered in her ear as the others talked. "Does your chest hurt?"

She shook her head, smiling at him in earnest. She dropped her hand and linked her fingers through his own and squeezing tightly. "I'm just glad I have all of you as friends."

He leaned down in front of her, giving her a mischievous smile. "I'm more than a friend though,"

She giggled as he wiggled his eyebrows at her. "That you are."

"If only we knew whom the big threats were in his little group of evil." Roy said, crossing his arms over his chest.

Crystal closed her eyes, sifting through the information she gathered to see if there were anything else in there that could help. "An organization called 'The Light'?"

The room went silent as they all looked at her in surprise, hoping she was joking at the information. When she opened her eyes, she looked at all of them in confusion, wondering what could be getting them to be so skittish at the name.

"What?" She asked, with palms facing upwards.

"Nightmare is using The Light for his plans?" Kaldur said with wide eyes.

"Ironic," Robin huffed.

"That would explain how they were always one step ahead of us." Meghan said with a nod.

"The true leader in the organization is actually not a part of it." Jay said, making sense in her confusing way.

"I'm lost," Crystal said, looking up at Wally who was staring intensely at the floor.

Wally remembered how they tried to stop him in delivering that heart, and how he nearly lost the patient due to their 'distraction'.

"Wally?" She asked, touching his elbow.

He snapped out of it as he glanced down at her, watching as her eyes showed worry for him. "Sorry, just remember how much they get in the way. The Light is an organization who has basically been trying to ruin our missions and take over the world."

"So you've been dealing with them for quite awhile?" Crystal asked, brows furrowed in the middle. He nodded his head, teeth gritted together. "Do you know who's a part of it?"

"Yeah, we've gathered enough information to kind of suspect who is in it." Artemis said, putting a hand on her hip.

Robin began typing away at his computer, pulling up the information they gathered on the organization. "Vandal Savage, Ra's al Ghuel, Lex Luthor, Queen Bee, Brain, Klarion, and Blank Manta. With others who help them on the side."

"Those are all big names." Andrew said, glancing at Jay with a wary gaze.

"And none of them were easy to deal with alone." Connor said, crossing his arms over his chest in frustration.

"So, not an easy war," Crystal stated with a hiss.

"We already knew it wasn't going to be easy." Sierra told her with a huff. "We shouldn't be surprised that he was going to use people who aren't easy to defeat."

"Just means we'll need to try harder." Wally said with a smile. His optimism seemed to spread to the others as they all nodded and smiled, feeling as if this was just another mission.

"But you've faced them before. That means you'll know how to fight them again." Crystal said, smiling at them and letting the optimism flow.

"What if they learned about us too?" Roy said, making everyone glower at him.

Artemis punched him in the arm with a frown. "Gee, way to ruing the mood."

"I'm just saying." He argued, rubbing his arm with a grimace.

"We're better than them." Kaldur said with a smirk.

"We'll win this fight," Crystal agreed. "This time, it's going to be over once and for all."
