Green emeralds cracked open only to meet iron bars. "He's awake," Hiccup could hear Rapunzel's voice alarm in a hoarse voice, and with a groan he sat up slowly, feeling the ache at the back of his head. Looking behind, he saw a spot of dry blood where his head once laid at. "Glad ta see yer awake," Merida's voice arose. Hiccup glanced to the left to see his two sisters gathered up next to each other, leaning against the bars of the fairly small cage.

But where was Jack?

"Are you okay? They didn't hurt you, did they?" he asked in concern. Rapunzel shrugged. "We're just a little scratched up is all," she said, "those guys don't play gentle." Hiccup felt rage boil inside him. They were going to regret hurting his sisters. "Where's Jack?" Merida's eyes rimmed with tears. "Wea donno! They took 'im away minutes ago!" she croaked. "I'm afraid he's not okay," Rapunzel whimpered. Hiccup couldn't blame her. He was frightened as well for their baby brother. What could they be doing to him? He prayed it wasn't anything physical.

"Don't worry guys. Father will come for us," he assured the sisters.

"Yeah. An' their dead when he comes," Merida hissed.

At the moment, two large doors opened and several guards came walking in, hauling a smaller cage, that held a frail figure inside. The siblings' eyes widened in familiarization and all stood, grabbing the bars.

"Jack!" Rapunzel cried, "what did you do to him?!"

The guards snorted at her cry and all together they settled the cage on a hook that kept the cage at least two inches or four off the ground. Jack laid curled in a sobbing ball. Once he lifted his head to meet his brother and sisters' worried eyes, they could detect the bruise on his cheek and his split lip. His shual was also barely noticable. "Hiccup... Punzi... Merida... I want Papa," he whimpered.

It broke the older siblings' hearts to hear their little brother's voice sound so fearful... Wait...

Oh God...

Fear.

The room temperature had dropped and frost began curling from Jack's naked hand, out the cage, and around the room. "Hey!" the main guard barked, jabbing his spear in Jack's arm, puncturing the skin, "knock it off!" Jack made a pained wail and tried scooting away till he was pressed against the cage bars; frost curled faster around the guards' legs. "YOU EVIL BASTARDS!" Hiccup screamed. "Don' hurt him!" Merida said after. "Please! You are scaring him!" Rapunzel joined. Suddenly, there was a shriek like roar that filled the room and everyone looked at one area where the same black dragon stood, shackled and chained to the floor. It's yellow dim eyes were trained onto Jack, who shook with fear. "St-stop! Please, you are making a mistake!" the boy whimpered. "I... I'm dangerous to be around!" The other siblings could not believe what they were hearing. Jack... Their baby brother was not dangerous. "Jack, you are not dangerous!" Rapunzel retorted.

Jack blocked her voice out and gripped a bar roughly, sending -not frost- but ice up the iron. Merida perked up with an idea and gazed at the dragon struggling more than before. A smile lit on her face and she looked at her older brother and sister, whispering "Ah got an idea."

Suddenly, the doors swung open and a man, wearing a golden crown with horns, had grey hairs and a beard, and royal armor. "What in the demons is going on in here!?" he demanded, seeing the frost that covered almost everything. His eyes fixed onto Jack. "I thought I have ordered this ice... Giant?- out of this area. Kill him for all I care!"

"No!" Hiccup cried.

"My lord Odin," a guard spoke up, "what about these demons? I do not think we have any past encounter with them before?" he said, pointing to the other siblings. Odin looked at them and walked to their cage. "Who or what are you, children?" he asked in a cold voice. Rapunzel frowned. "We are Jack's sisters and brothers," she exclaimed. "The ice demon?"

"'E is not ah demon! 'E jus' has ah hard time controlling 'is gifts," Merida defended. Odin threw her a cold glare. "Gifts?," he questioned, waving his hand around like he was observing to them the ice and frost everywhere. "You call this... Abomination a gift?! All this young one was meant for was yo rage havoc with his gifts," he spat. Jack flinched by his words and looked at his hands. I knew it... I just knew these powers couldn't possibly be gifts..., he told himself. Hiccup clench onto the bars tightly and as much as he wanted to just... Punch this man who shouts despising words... He hesitated.

"Wait till my father finds out about this... Then you'll be sorry," he hissed, spitting at Odin's feet.

Odin snared by Hiccup's wrong choice of acting and punched him in the gut; Hiccup grunted and toppled over by the paining force. "Hiccup!" Rapunzel cried. Merida raged in fury. "Tha's et!" she screamed. Immediately, her hand flamed up, making Odin and the guards surprised. They could even see small flames coming from the messy curls in her hair. Merida glared at them for a second, then raised her hand to them...

But instead of shooting them, she turned and aimed at the black dragon and shot. The flame with perfect aim, hit the Nightfury's bonds that suspended his collar. The dragon shook the wood ash off then opened his mouth. "My lord!" the main guard cried, but it was too late. A blue ball of flame and gas hit the king's armored chest, sending fly back out through the doors.

"Come on!" Merida said, running to the lock and grasping onto the iron lock and melting it within seconds. "Nice job, Mer."

The three hopped out their cage and ran to a table where their weapons were, including Jack's staff. They then ran to Jack's cage. "Jack!" Merida cried in worry to the unconscious boy. Jack stirred and opened his eyes. "Hold on, baby brother," Hiccup sai. "We're getting you out of here." The eldest then stepped back and with one bring down of his sword, the lock sliced in half and fell to the floor. He opened it and quickly Jack tackled his small form into his older brother's broad one. Hiccup wrapped around Jack and Jack clutched onto him like a lifeline, letting whimpers escape his lips. This also caused frost to curl around Hiccups back, but the eldest didn't care. Merida and Rapunzel rubbed Jack's back and hair in comfort. Once they finally pull away, they help Jack get out his cage.

"Stop right there!"

They were suddenly grabbed, each by the arm, and thrown from each other. Hiccup and his sisters were ceased by their arms while Jack was forced to his back and held down as the main guard stalked over to him with his long sword that glimmered in the dark. "NONO! PLEASE SPARE HIM!" Hiccup begged along with Rapunzel and Merida as they struggled.

Jack watched as the sword was raised above him and gazed at the main guard with pleading eyes that brimmed with tears. "Please... Don't do this," he croaked. The main guard's eyes softened a bit into what seemed like pity for the child. He looks so young... Too young, he thought sadly to himself, how can a child so small be such a havoc? I just do not understand... And this is a CHILD... A delicate child who is scared and probably viewing me as a more terrible monster than he is... But orders are orders... The sword in his hand started to tremble and Jack was surprised to see a tear slip past his eye.

"Forgive me, child," he whispered.

Suddenly, a shriek roar filled the room, gathering everyone's attention and they looked to see the black dragon in a crouching position. Before anyone knew it, the dragon pounced onto the main guard andthrew him to the wall; it swung his tell to the other guards, knocking them down by force. This distraction allowed Hiccup and his sisters to push their captors back. "GUYS! HELP!" Jack's voice cried. The siblings looked to see remainder of Jack's shual in the mouth of the dragon's. All of the sudden, with a swish of the black tail, a vortex opened, making everyone stare in shock.

The way the dragon crouched, Hiccup knew EXACTLY what was about to happen. "No!" he cried, jumping and latching onto the dragon's tail just as it leaped into the portal, dragging him along. "Hiccup!" Merida cried, latching onto her brother's ankle. "Merida!" Rapunzel cried grabbing her sister's ankle. Just as Rapunzel felt the vortex closing, she heard the shout of Loki's voice.

"Children!"

Cliffy! Haha! Where do you think they went? What will Odin do when he finds out about Grandchildren he thought he never had? Why am I ruining things?! Review!
