Hello kiddies! I just saw the new Captain America movie and it was awesome! Loved the after credit scene! I won't spoil anything for you guys. I just love the character development of The Black Widow too. I wonder where Clint was though.

Anywho here's another chapter for you. I'm working really hard on the next chapter. It'll make heads roll. Enjoy!

Also huge thanks to Nienna Perks for correcting the faults I made so this chapter is created by her. My British way of speaking and odd typing skills (complete with typos) usually confuses my words to people but Nienna is so awesome for helping!

I do not own anything...except a new clock pendent and a necklace that says KNEEL!

Natasha stood there staring into Loki's eyes. God how she distrusted those eyes. When she first met him, those eyes were a symbol of his sinister nature. She was forced to stare at them whenever she had to interrogate him on a subject that he wasn't fond of and those eyes would gleam at her, pushing her to listen to that silver tongue he used on his clients. Maybe that's why she didn't like talking to him face to face.

Asshole. He could have picked up his damn phone.

But he didn't. Instead he was playing 'normal' with a girl. That's all Natasha could think of when seeing the date that Loki was entertaining. A girl. A girl who had large blue eyes that seemed doe like. A girl with an amazing figure but wouldn't know how to use it. An innocent girl. Not like her. The things in Natasha's past were much too dark and heavy to even compare to this girl. The blood on her ledger made her a woman. The bright light in this girl's eyes made her a girl.

So what did Loki want with this girl?

Natasha snapped out of her bewilderment as Loki turned towards the girl and smiled. Not the creepy grin he gave most of the time, but a sweet half smile with a hint of worry. This made Natasha's stomach clinch. She had never seen Loki actually show any emotion. And yet he openly displays it to the girl.

Loki reached into his pockets and threw a bill on the table and offered the girl a hand.

"Darling, something has come up. I fear that I must cut this date short." Loki's voice was soft and he made sure to make eye contact with the girl. Natasha knew that he was putting his eyes on full blast.

The girl stood up and faced him. She was quite short. With the boots she was wearing she was up to the height of his chin. So naturally she was probably around 5'3.

"Like?" the girl asked as Natasha saw her eyes flicker towards her. Natasha had to fight the urge to smile. How cute. She thinks I'm a threat.

"Something with my job. I'm so very sorry. But I will give you a ride home."

The girl looked into his face, searching for something. Loki leaned down and wrapped an arm around her and whispered "please". The girl turned from out his arms and sighed. Then she went to go walk out the door. Instead of looking at Loki, Natasha went to walk after the girl, her curiosity getting a hold of her. She could hear Loki walking quickly behind her.

"Don't be an idiot to hold me back." Natasha muttered as she opened the door to leave. She knew that Loki would attempt to reach for her shoulder so that he could get to the girl first. It made her uncomfortable that he was acting predictable.

Loki isn't predictable.

Outside the girl was leaning against Loki's car. She was squinting against the afternoon sun. She didn't looked angry, She look resigned and somewhat disappointed.

"This couldn't wait?" Loki muttered angrily as he looked at his date against his car. He walked slower than normal to delay the time that it took to cross the walkway to his car.

"If you would have answered your phone, I wouldn't be here. You're needed at the base. Someone let it slip that Thor is now working with us. We're trying to keep negotiations with the council but the Captain and Fury can't hold them up for long. That's why when you didn't answer I had to come get you."

Loki let out a growl as he opened his phone. Natasha saw who he was calling. Stark. He looked at her and nodded, then turned his back on her and began to talk on his phone in hushed tones as he began to pace. Natasha took this opportunity to walk over to the girl and lean against the car next to her.

At first the girl looked over at her with a raised eyebrow, but then she looked away and back to Loki.

"I'm Darcy." She said. Her voice wasn't as sweet as Natasha thought it would be. Instead it was mature, and a little dark. She didn't seem to feel scared in Natasha's presence which Natasha wasn't used to at all.

"I'm Natasha. I work with Loki."

"I figured." Darcy said sarcastically as she reached over and stuck out her hand for a shake. Her grip was surprisingly firm, not hostile.

"So. Loki huh?" Natasha said, trying to keep conversation. She hadn't really had a real conversation with a girl other than Maria Hill and Pepper, which was mostly about inside things like work. Nothing actually chatty.

"Yeah. It's weird. Usually guys like him are not my type you know? Dark and mysterious. I've dated some dark guys mind you but they were wanna be bad boys without a reason. Loki's just nice and charming. The darkness is actually a personality trait and not a mask."

Natasha rose her eyebrows. "What?"

"Oh sorry. I tend to babble a lot. I just like him okay?" Darcy said as she stood up straight. Natasha finally got a better look at the girl. There was fire in the girl's eyes. Pain. Darkness. Sarcasm.

What the fuck did I miss?

Natasha saw in the corner of her eyes Loki watching them closely. His eyes pierced her as if he was silently warning her to stay away from Darcy. Natasha took this as a challenge and smiled at Darcy, placing a hand on her arm. Instead of flinching Darcy tensed up.

I like this girl. She chooses fight instead of flight.

"I'm not gonna do anything" Natasha muttered as she patted her on the arm and let her go. It was Darcy's turn to raise her eyebrows.

Natasha smirked. "I'm just fucking with Loki. So. How you two meet?"

Darcy leaned forward, entering the game Natasha had started. A glint of troublemaker in her eyes.

"I was walking home from the diner and bumped into him. Long story short, I found his ring, returned it to him and then boom. Dating."

"Loki never takes that damn thing off. How did you find it?"

"Just fell in my pocket I guess." Natasha frowned. Unlikely. Loki keeps that thing glued to his damn finger. This can't be chance. What's his play?

"Like a fairy tale?" Natasha joked, but keeping her face straight.

"Bullshit." Darcy said as she straightened her back. "Those 'love at first sight' things are a load of crap. This isn't so bumped into my soul mate. More like 'you're cute and likable. Let's date' stuff."

Even though the girl talked strange, Natasha was surprised that she could keep up with the girl's logic. She even agreed with it. Her and Clint wasn't a fairy-tale either.

"So do you manage one of his stores or something?" Darcy asked. Natasha turned to her in confusion.

"Excuse me but what?"

"Loki's stores? SOHO?" Darcy looked at Natasha as though she was missing the obvious.

Loki was lying to Darcy. This shouldn't have bothered Natasha seeing that it was apart of their job, but it still came off wrong to her. Such an innocent yet fiery girl was being fooled. But Natasha also knew it was not in her position to reveal the lie. Instead like a good agent she went along.

"Oh yeah. Sorry I'm not use to people saying it like that." She shrugged it off, but she could have swore she saw Darcy's eyes harden as the lie slipped out of Natasha's mouth. Again Natasha felt the uneasy feeling that this girl was much smarter and quicker than most girls. The way her eyes displayed her emotions and understanding was a clear sign that Darcy wasn't as innocent as Natasha first believed.

Knowing that she let something slip, Natasha tightened the leather gun strap on her thigh and began to walk away. "See you soon Darcy." She said. She didn't look back at the girl. Instead she looked towards Loki who was staring intently at her. Watching. She put her normal stern blank expression on her face and entered her car.

But before she drove off, she looked in Darcy's direction at the car. Natasha knew she had no say in the relationship between Darcy and Loki, nor did she know Darcy personally, but the fire in those blue eyes of hers for the quick moment told Natasha that Loki had met his match, and when the time came for Loki's lie to be known, she would sit back with a bag of popcorn, and watch Darcy's wrath.

Darcy watched as Natasha got into her car and drove away. She didn't like the woman at first, but then after actually talking to her, she was okay.

And also a liar.

When Loki had asked her to leave the cafe, Darcy was thinking about how pissed she was that her date was cut short by his job. She was also pissed that a super hot woman came to pick him up. She left to stand by his car to think and allow them alone time. She didn't want her emotions to play on her face. That would make her weak and she refused to look weak in front of anyone. Especially her new boyfriend.

Loki and Natasha were right behind her as she left. She thought Loki would have stopped her to talk but instead he began to whisper-talk to the woman. Darcy pushed it aside. She understood business was business. She did hear a few clipped words like "brother" and "council" so she knew it was nothing romantic. Plus the way they talked to each other wasn't affectionate. More like hostile and short as if they both didn't like each other much. Darcy wasn't the jealous type but she had to admit that she felt way better when she saw they weren't romantically involved.

After a few moments of leaning against the car and pondering all of this information, Darcy saw the red headed Natasha walk towards her and lean against the car. Darcy being the weirdo she's always been, introduced herself. Then lost the filter to her mouth.

Natasha was menacing, but nothing Darcy hadn't dealt with before.

I'm badass too. I'm killer with my taser. Darcy thought.

As they conversed Darcy also noticed the way Loki would look at them every once in a while with a mixture of worry towards her, and hatred towards Natasha. She must have sensed it too since Natasha began to act friendly and openly smiled.

Then she lied.

Darcy asked a simple question. One of those questions you usually asked people who claimed to work for your lover. But the confusion in her voice and her sudden control over her facial features alerted Darcy that she was lying about Loki.

But why?

So now Darcy stood there waiting. Watching Loki talk in hushed tones on his phone to someone, occasionally glancing at her. When his eyes met hers he smiled. She smiled back.

After a few moments Loki shoved his phone in his pocket and walked over. Darcy stood up straighter to meet his eyes. When he wrapped his arms around her waist she felt a chill that ran from the top of her head to the bottom of her toes.

"Hi" he whispered as he pulled her tight.

"Hey" Darcy muttered against his lips.

She then slowly tiptoed up to kiss him. The way his lips moved against hers caused heat to burn deep within the pit of her stomach. The smell of spice and mint and him sent her head spinning and her hands clenching his arms.

Darcy was becoming lost in utter bliss when something vibrated Loki's leg that was separating her thighs.

"Shit" he muttered as he pulled away. Darcy saw his thin lips tinted with the color of her lipstick which made her giggle.

"What?" Loki asked as he looked at her. She just giggled harder and pressed herself against the car door, her body growing cold from the perspiration from his body.

"Oh nothing." She said. I wonder if I don't tell him would he go to work like that.

Loki pressed his lips together which sent Darcy into a bigger fit of giggles.

"What-" his phone vibrated again.

He quickly fished it out of his pocket and looked at the text. She watched as he quickly swiped on the touch pad and shoved the black rectangle back from which it came. It reminded her again of Natasha's lie. She struggled to keep her amused expression from going grim.

"We better be off then." He said as he took her hand and led her to the passenger side of the door. He then opened it for her, still holding her hand till she was fully seated. Darcy looked up at him and tried to give him a happy smile.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

Shit. Poker face my ass.

"Yeah. Perfect. Why?." Loki looked at her inquiringly before closing her door. Darcy let out a breath.

Keep it together. It's nothing bad. Nothing.

Loki got into his side and closed the door, chancing a glance at Darcy who was staring pointedly out the window.

"Darcy, is there something wrong?" He asked. Concern and worry drifted into his eyes. His long black hair looked a little ruffled, a piece sticking to his cheekbone.

Darcy reached over to him and swept the hair away, gently brushing her fingertips against his cool skin and feeling a small surge of electricity course threw her fingers and sighed.

"You'll never lie to me right?" She asked. Loki's eyes widened and he leaned in over the seat. Then he placed his hands on both sides of her face and leaned in until their noses almost touched. He peered straight into her eyes as she looked into his green orbs.

"My dearest Darcy. My little love. Have faith in me."

Loki then closed the distance and pressed his lips onto hers. He clutched her to his body as close as the car would allow. Darcy threw her arms around his neck and pulled him even closer, deepening the kiss. Her fingers tangled in his hair as his hands gripped her waist.

All Darcy could feel was heat against chill. Cold against hot. Fire against Ice.

She poured her faith into him through the heated kiss. She poured almost everything she owned into their embrace. She could feel him clenching her even closer. His hair sweeping around his face as her hair joined in, creating an all round curtain of intimacy.

Loki then broke away and peered into her face once again, cradling her head in his hands. His pale face glowed as he looked at Darcy. She smiled as she took his breath away.

So dangerous. So beautiful.

"Darcy." He sighed. He gave her a small smile and another peck. Darcy smiled back and sat back into her seat as she buckled her seat belt. The drive back to her house was filled with small talk like the weather, the television, books they've read, and places they wanted to see. But Darcy couldn't shake off the feeling that she had from earlier. She tried to. She threw herself into the conversation and acted as unsarcastic as she could. But the feeling still didn't go away.

When they arrived back to her home he opened her side door for her and walked her to her building front.

"I would invite you in, but Jane is upstairs sciencing and stuff." Loki chuckled and brushed his fingertips against her cheek.

"Oh Ms. Lewis you don't want to start something you can't finish" He had somewhat of a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Darcy smiled at the challenge. I didn't have much of a social life for a reason.

"Oh Mr. Laufeyson. You don't want to get me started. If we do start something we won't be able to finish quietly." Then she leaned up until her lips was close to his chin.

"I'm quite gifted with voicing my emotions." She whispered.

Loki's frame shivered as his pupils dilated till the green of his irises was just a small ring.

"You little Vixen" he said as he crushed his lips against hers once more. Darcy tip toed to wrap her arms around his shoulders as his arms snaked around her waist and pulled her up more. Supporting her weight. She held tight as she kissed the life out of him. More. More. More. She wanted more. Then she couldn't breathe.

They broke apart with a gasp as they breathed heavily.

"When's the next time I'll see you?" Loki asked.

"Well I have work. Usually Tuesdays I don't work but then this thing for Frankie is happening so maybe Wednesday if I could get off?"

Loki smiled and leaned to kiss her nose.

"See you then." Loki then touched the necklace at her throat and winked. "Mine" he whispered.

Darcy smirked and winked. "We'll see about that."

Then he turned and left. She smiled to herself and stifled a laugh.

He was still wearing traces of her lipstick.

I guess that's my mark on him too. He's mine.

Now lets light a match on this story!

I know people are demanding the return of Frankie and the Diner. Well next chapter is the moment you've been waiting for. I just hope both Loki and Darcy is strong because things are going to be UP IN FLAMES. Both literately and figuratively.

Also thanks to everyone with the name suggestions. I got some great ones for the next chapter. I haven't figured out how to place jane in the story yet...she's not a favorite of mine for some reason and I don't want to be bias. Oh well I'll figure it out.

The songs used for this chapter is:

Back to Black by Amy Winehouse

Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes

Dear Sister by The Pretty Reckless

I'll upload the next chapter soon. Don't forget to review! Keep the hope alive!
