Esposito POV:

Nico and I walked over to the bar, trailing after everyone else. He told me about his dad and sister, and I told him everything he will need to survive under Beckett's rule.

It was hard to believe that he was a minor. He spoke like he was 40 years old. He had been through two wars, so I suppose that it wasn't that odd. War had a way of changing the way people think.

When we walked into the bar the bartender tried to stop us.

"Hey, son, you can't come in here." He shouted over the bar. Nico looked hesitant but he pulled out his badge. The bartender froze for a moment before waving him on in. I shot Nico a look. He rolled his eyes.

"Go on in, I guess" you could tell he wanted the whole story, but he ushered us in any way. The smell of burgers and beer wafted in through the door as we entered. The bar was dim but you could see it was well loved. There was old and young people all sitting at the bar or at tables being served. We walked in behind the other detectives and sat at the longest table. There were looks shot at us as the waitress came over to get our orders. She was pretty with blond hair and blue eyes, Probably 17 or 18. And she was staring right at Nico. I looked over at Nico. He was skimming the menu like nothing was happening. I nudged him and gave him a suggesting look.

"What?" Nico looked up, obviously annoyed. I rolled my eyes and pointed at the waitress.

"What do you think of her?" Nico looked at the waitress. He seemed to only notice her then. When the waitress saw him looking she put on a huge smile and twisted her hair around her finger. Nico flashed a halfhearted smile and she almost fainted. Her nametag read Claire.

Nico turned back to me and shrugged.

"What do you mean-" I shrugged.

"She's just not really my type." He said with an annoyed look on his face. Claire had started to make her way to our side of the table. With every step she took Nico's frown got deeper and deeper until it was more of a scowl then a frown.

With a sudden motion Nico pushed back his chair and made his way out of the restaurant. I watch as the door slammed shut behind him. All the heads in the Bar followed as the 16 year old disappeared.

"Esposito, what on earth did you do?" I could hear gates angry voice behind me but I was already standing up to follow the kid.

The wind was cold as I walked out onto the street. Shadows crowded corners and ally's all around. People who passed by didn't give me a second look as they ran past to get home.

I turned in a full circle trying to catch a glimpse of Italian leather. I was about to head back into the bar when something caught my eye. Down the ally behind the bar was Nico. He was with two other people one standing behind him and the other was laying on the ground in front of him. From the amount of liquid around the person lying down I figured that they had too much to drink. But as I got closer I realized that the liquid surrounding the person was dark red and very obviously not vomit or alcohol.

It was blood.

Sort of third person

The precinct was a buzz with energy. The news of the dead woman that was found at the bar was mere background noise over the gossip about Nico and the boy he had his arm around.

The boy had dirty blond hair, and green eyes, so green they looked fake. In fact Esposito was almost positive they were. Nico was looking down on him like he would never see another person again.

It took Esposito about a minute to put the pieces together. The way Nico acted when the girl in the bar was flirting with him and the way he ran out when he got the text saying that the boy was outside. It all fit together, Nico was his older brother! Although after he stated this to Becket he realized that they must be dating. ("Realized" meaning the Becket slapped him upside the head and told him)

The boy seem completely okay with the fact that half the people in the room thought he killed the woman and the other half was try in figure out why he was so okay with the blood that still covered his hands.

All the conversations in the room staggered to a halt when Nico and the boy were called in to captain Gates office.

"Well, what do you know? He's not as secluded as we thought. He was just holding back his love for his boyfriend!" the surprise in castles voice was very obvious. Becket stood next to the coffee machine, waiting for the boys to cone out of the room across the hall.

" Does anyone else think that there's something more to this case that Gates isn't telling us?" Ryan questioned. Everyone turned to face him.

"What do you mean? I'm sure this is all just a big misunderstanding." becket was the voice of reason in the room. The rest of the group went through possible scenarios that could explain why the boy's family wasn't there or why Nico was still being interrogated by Gate in front of the blond boy.

Gate walked in the room, looking pale but determine. Without saying a word she lead Ryan, Becket, Castle and Esposito into her office to join the two teenagers. The two boys sat in the chairs across from the desk and Gates sat at the desk. It would have seemed like a normal picture exempt for the fact that Captain Gates looked frightened. The four detectives walked in cautiously, closing the door behind them.

"Detectives, i know that this will be hard to believe, but it is of the utmost importance that you at least listen with an open." Gates said with a hard look on her face. The detectives looked puzzled. then without any warning, Nico stood up.

"Hello, I'm Nico." He said with a casual look on his face. it was like the first time he had introduced himself so the cops hung onto his last word, waiting for something of importance to come out. When nothing did Castle spoke up.

"Ya, we know who you are." he said with a look that he used on Alexis when she was three. Nico and the boy rolled their eyes.

"I understand that you know my name, but i figured it would be the best way to start. My name is Nico Di Angelo, son of Hades and two time hero of Olympus." he said with a smirk on his face. the other boy stood up and moved to stand next to Nico.

"Hi, my name is Caleb. I'm the son of Thanatos and the keeper of the dead." Caleb said with a sheepish wave. all the detectives looked confused.

"We have a lot to talk about."
