Chapter 2

Lulu: I don't believe this, she says stunned beyond words.

Patrick: Lulu, I am so sorry about all of this. If I knew sooner I would have told you all right away.

Maxie is quiet and not saying much

Lulu: Maxie, how could you do this to us? She says in years.

Dante holds his wife trying to keep his cool.

Britt: You're still having a baby though. So everything works out for all of you thanks to me! She smirks.

Maxie: You bitch!

Sabrina: We call her Britch, she tries to joke in the middle of all the tension.

Maxie: I knew you were keeping my secret for Dante and lulu but I was ready to give up my baby when all along you had me think the baby you're carrying was yours and Patrick's! I need to talk to the father of my baby girl!

The door opens.

Spinelli: You don't have to do that.

Maxie: Spinelli! She says with tears.

Sabrina: Patrick, we should let them discuss this. She says taking his hand.

Patrick: I'm so sorry to all of you. Britt had no right doing any if this and I just hope it all works out. Maxie, call me later?

Maxie nods her head yes and Patrick and Sabrina leave.

Patrick and Sabrina run into Elizabeth on their way out.

Elizabeth: Hey you two love birds! She says happily! Are you two ok? You look like you've been through a war zone.

Sabrina: We're fine. We just learned that Patrick is not the father of Britt's baby!

Elizabeth: I KNEW it she shouts hugging them both at the same time! Then how come you guys aren't announcing it over the loudspeakers, she jokes.

Patrick: Because she is really carrying Dante and Lulu's baby.

Elizabeth is shocked at what she just heard.

Elizabeth: I'm sorry what?

Sabrina: Yea, apparently Dr. Westbourn decided to use Dante and Lulus extra embryo to pass off as Patrick's to make sure I didn't get him.

Elizabeth: Oh my god! Here let's sit and talk she says moving over to the waiting area.

Patrick hears his name over the loudspeaker to go to the ER.

Patrick: I better go. He says getting up again! I'll let you girls catch up. He smiles and gives Sabrina a nice long kiss. I love you! He smiles!

Sabrina: I love you more! I'll get Emma and meet you at the house later.

Patrick: sounds great!

Elizabeth is smiling.

Elizabeth: I love you? Wow! That is just fantastic! I'm so happy for the both of you.

Sabrina: Thanks! She smiles. It's been a rough couple of months but we've made it through the tunnel! And pretty much unscathed to the other side. And I have you to thank for it! She is beaming!

Elizabeth: Me?!

Sabrina: Yes, you! If you hadn't pushed me to tell Patrick my true feelings, I wouldn't be in love with him today!

Elizabeth: Well, I had to make something happen! She laughs. You two are perfect together! I know Robin would approve! She smiles.

Sabrina: And the sex is AMAZING she whispers with a smile!

Elizabeth: I would think so, they laugh!

Epiphany comes around the corner.

Epiphany: Hey! Are we on a break?!

Sabrina: Actually I'm off duty now! I have to pick Emma up.

Epiphany: I don't think nurse Webber is off duty. Enough gabbing! And get back to work! Oh nurse Santiago, your handsome hunk of a doctor Drake Jr wanted me to tell you he loves you! She winks!

Sabrina: I know! She smiles and thanks. Tell him I love him too and to hurry home! Me and Emma will be waiting! She smiles.

Sabrina leaves to pick Emma up.

Epiphany: I'm so glad those two finally did something about their feelings! She puts her arm around Elizabeth's shoulder.

Elizabeth: So am I! She smiles.

Epiphany: Ok enough gawking! Back to work!

Sabrina and Emma are at the house waiting for Patrick to come home.

Emma: Where is daddy? She says twirling in her tutu.

Sabrina: He should be home soon baby! She looks at her watch wondering what is taking him so long herself when the door opens!

Emma: Daddy! We were waiting for you! She says jumping in his arms.

Patrick: I had to stop and pick these up for Sabrina first he smiles handing her a dozen pink and white roses.

Sabrina: They're beautiful Patrick she kisses him with Emma between them.

Patrick: Did you tell Emma the good news?

Sabrina: I was waiting for you she smiles giving him another kiss.

Emma: Tell me what?! She asks excitedly.

Patrick: Well baby, it turns out that the baby Britt is having is not going to be your little brother or sister after all.

Emma: Again? She asks confused.

Sabrina: I know you are so confused sweetie but this is the last time you will have to worry about that mean lady because she is not going to ruin anything for us anymore. We promise.

Patrick: Really! He smiles. And now that that is settled Emma and I want to ask you something. He says taking her hand smiling.

Sabrina: You would?! She asks happily.

Patrick: Emma, would you get the box on daddy's dresser like we talked about last night?

Emma: Yay! I'll be right back! She jumps off the couch and runs to Patrick's room.

Sabrina: I hope everything is going okay with Maxie. She says worriedly.

Patrick: Me too. He says checking his phone quick to make sure he didn't miss her call.

Emma: Got it! She says running back to the living room. She hands Sabrina the box.

Sabrina: Patrick?

Patrick: Go ahead open it. He smiles nervously.

She slowly opens the square box and finds a key. She looks up at Patrick with teary eyes.

Patrick: Emma and I were wondering if you had any objections to moving in with us? We love you s much and want to be a family. He says now teary eyed himself holding her is beaming.

Sabrina: Oh Patrick! She kisses him and picks up Emma. I couldn't think of any reason why not, she smiles. I would be honored to live with you both! I love you so much! They kiss again.

Patrick: I'm so glad! Emma also wanted to ask you something else he winks at Sabrina

Sabrina: Yes, miss Emma! What would you like to ask me? She kneels down to Emma's level.

Emma: Daddy said it would be ok with him to ask you if I could call you mommy?

Sabrina with tears looks up at Patrick holding Emma's hands. Patrick reaches in his pocket for another box.

Sabrina: Oh Emma! She says trying hard not to cry. I couldn't think of anything more than for you to call me mommy! But daddy and I have to be married for that to happen but As long as it is okay with your daddy? She stands up holding Emma.

Patrick: I would love that! He says beaming! Do you know why?

Sabrina: Why? She says looking at him lovingly. Wiping a tear.

Patrick: I was waiting for the results of the paternity tests to come back because I had something else to ask you.

Sabrina looks at Emma who is beaming with happiness.

Sabrina: Patrick? Now what is happening? She asks nervously.

Patrick: Sabrina Santiago, he kneels down on one knee holding the ring box.

Sabrina: Oh...my ...what is happening?! She says in happy tears.

Patrick: Emma and I couldn't imagine our lives without you in it. We both love you beyond words and were wondering and sort of hoping he says with a laugh if you would do the honor of marrying us and become my wife and as Emma already asked...her new mommy?!

Sabrina has tears streaming down her face. Her hands are shaking with joy as she looks at Patrick lovingly and without hesitation answers his proposal.

Sabrina: Who do I say YES too she says jumping in Patrick's arms as they kiss! Emma is jumping up and down with excitement. Patrick takes out the ring and puts it on her hand.

Sabrina: Oh Patrick! It's beautiful she says in between tears. I love you so much! She kisses him!

Patrick: I love you more! He says beaming! Giving her another kiss.

Patrick's phone rings...
