Chapter 14

Loki was awkwardly sitting by the table inside the main room, trying to forget what had happened inside the infirmary. Tony was kind enough to tell him that he asked Jarvis to delete the footage before anyone could check. Tony really hoped that no one will check that missing feed because that would be like fraternizing with the enemy.

Tony however, had regretted doing it.

Clint huffed, crossed arms, staring at Loki.

The Agents all around him were glancing at him very cautiously, waiting for him to screw up and do something horrible. Loki did not like this one bit, and Thor was hovering close to him, making it even more unbearable than it already is. Tony had sent them a text that Loki's coming with, and they all prepared, but what they didn't expect was when Tony told them that shit had gone down and Loki was a mess.

Seeing him as a mess was one thing compared to hearing about it.

"Would you like some?" Bruce offered Loki the doughnut.

Where did they even get a doughnut?

"It's just a donut."

Loki tilted his head, unsure of what it was. It was pink, circle and had a hole in the middle and Loki was so sure that it was nothing but a piece of bread. They didn't have that thing in Asgard and Loki was sure it wasn't poison, because why would they?

It wasn't their style.

Loki did not take it, he just stared at Bruce, who awkwardly shifted on his seat, looking at the others for help. Nobody dared to move, because this was very alarming. Thor had brought Loki in without handcuffs and they were all edgy, hoping that Loki wouldn't do anything stupid.

"I don't like this." Clint huffed. "He's not even handcuffed."

"He's low on energy." Steve replied. "Besides, I doubt he would try messing with us again."

Loki glared at him.

"Still don't like it." Clint crossed his arms. "We should focus on the tesseract."

"Which has stabilized for now." Natasha confirmed.

"So Fury and Hill?" Steve asked.

"Are headed here with Selvig."

"Did they say anything?"

"It was just a reaction." Natasha shrugged. "Who knows, not even Selvig could explain it."

"I hope it is merely nothing." Thor piped.

"Hey Loki, are you still possessed or what?" Clint randomly questioned. "HEY!?"

"What kind of an interrogation is that?" Natasha elbowed him.

"Guys, that's enough." Steve gave them an uncomfortable look. "Have you eaten yet, Loki?"

Why were they worried?

"We just want to know if you've digested something." Natasha crossed her arms.

"Possibly something lethal." Clint scowled.

"Or something that humans eat."

"Aliens, Nat. He's an Alien."

"Aliens eat too, Clint."

"Yeah blood and humans!" Clint raised his arms. "Like us."
"Have you seen Thor eat a human?'"I don't think he's done it in public."

"Ignore those two, you can talk to us, Loki." Steve urged, hearing the squabble going on behind him. "We just want to know."

Why!?

Why do they want to know?

"Loki?" Thor asked.

Loki remained silent, loving how these fools were making an effort for him to eat. Loki was a little confused as to why they were doing it. He was the enemy and they were all the glory, so why are they trying to help?

"It's just a donut." Bruce mumbled.

The door opened with Tony striding towards him. Tony had excused himself earlier on, and they weren't sure what he was up to. But now they do. He shoved a cup towards Loki, who instantly grabbed it, giving him a confusing look.

"Before you ask, it's hot chocolate." Tony winked and Loki rolled his eyes.

"Seriously?" Clint raised an eyebrow.

"What?" Tony gave him a look.

"Are you serious, Stark!?"

"What?! I don't get what you're going on about."

"You're giving him hot chocolate?"

"Aw come on!" Tony huffed. "Why, you haven't seen charity before?"

"Not if the charity case is Thor's little brother."

"Yeah whatever. He needs the hot chocolate." Tony smirked, turning to Loki, knowing that the young man was stressed out. "Trust me, it taste delicious, especially since I made it myself. It's so weird that Shield has a canteen and I just went in there and borrowed stuff."

"Only you, Stark." Natasha laughed. "Only you."

"I'm just cool that way."

Loki ignored them, he continued to stare at the smoke coming out of the cup. The smell was divine, but he didn't want to eat it just yet. For some strange reason, he was afraid he would make a mess of things, and mostly because the gesture was too kind, if there is such a thing.

Thor however, saw Loki's confusion and addressed it.

"Loki, you really should eat something." Thor insisted when Loki did not move.

oOo

"You should really eat something." The Chitauri hissed at him. "Come now, we will not betray you, just as you will not betray us."

Loki backed away.

"What is this? Are you cowering away from us?"

Loki tried to ignore this Chitauri. He was slightly bigger than the rest, his hands large and sharp enough to hurt him. Loki eyed him for a moment, staring at those scaly skin, the armor that hung off him and those that connected through skin. Loki felt disgusted to even be near the creature. Loki saw the Chitauri kneel forward, inching closer to him.

"Do you feel betrayed?" It asked him. "We will not betray you as long as you do not betray us."

The voice seemed generous enough.

"You should eat something."

Loki did not know what to do at that point. He had little idea that they were taking advantage of his betrayal and inferiority, that they were already bending him to their will and that Loki was nothing more than a mere pawn in their games. They played him like the fool that he was, they allowed him to be something he never thought he would be.

And all he could think of was being unworthy.

oOo

"Awkward." Clint joked.

"Would you shut up?" Natasha elbowed him again.

"Would you two stop fighting?" Steve palmed his face.

"Oh sorry Captain, didn't realize you find us annoying." Natasha gave him a smirk.

"Yeah, the one you should be concerned about is him." Clint pointed at Tony. "He's fraternizing with the enemy."

"Excuse me!?" Tony pretended to give him a shocked look.

Natasha, Clint and Steve all gave him an "are you serious" look which defeated the one Tony gave to the stage. Tony sighed rather exaggeratedly and pouted. Bruce just chuckled in the background, and ignored them.

"Okay I'm not even going to deny that." Tony said. "But aren't we all?"

"He's right." Natasha said. "We're all trying to feed him something."

"Yeah, even the Captain is fraternizing with the enemy."

"That word." Steve huffed. "It's not that, it's just... well, Loki is..."

"Eh, he doesn't want anything we give him." Clint huffed. "Why bother?"

"Points for effort?" Tony added.

"Loki, do you want some?' Bruce pointed, trying his hardest to make Loki eat.

"Why are you giving me things?" Loki blurted out.

Everyone turned to each other, trying to find a decent answer to give to Loki, but then again, they all found themselves stumped. What will they tell Loki? Truth be told, they were wondering the same thing. Maybe it was just in their nature to be concerned. But they weren't fooling anyone but themselves, especially not Loki.

"I should not be treated like this." Loki bit his lips. "I am your enemy therefore you should consider me as one."

"And you're also a big fat liar." Clint countered earning a glare from Loki.

"I have you know you were under my command."

"And you were under someone else's command, hot shot. So yeah, not buying the whole enemy thing, but I still hate your guts. So piss off and just act thankful that we're on your side, you ass."

Loki turned to Thor, glaring at him with all his might.

As if to say, "This is your fault."

Thor merely shrugged at his brother.

Of course, they had talked about this. How could dear sweet innocent Loki forget? How typical of his brother to do so. Loki stared at the hot chocolate, it smelled so good and he wanted to just drown himself in it because the warm feeling was calming and it was taking him away from all the bad memories that presented itself.

"Have you eaten yet, Loki?" Bruce asked again. "We just want to know."

Go on…

Tell them…

It's not that hard.

"No, I have not." Loki muttered, loving the warmth of the cup that Tony gave him. He should really thank him, but his ego went a bit too high and it prevented him from doing so.

"When was the last time you ate?" Steve questioned.

Say it.

Tell them the truth.

Just talk.

"A few months ago." He blurted out.

Everyone was baffled by this knew knowledge.

"How are you even alive?" Tony blinked.

"I ate scraps that they gave me." Loki swallowed his pride. "They do not feed me often, nor do they give me enough water, but a small amount can still keep me alive."

"Here take it!"

Tony pushed the box of doughnuts towards him.

"I cannot accept this." Loki frowned.

"You have to eat, Reindeer games!"

"You don't understand!" Loki snapped. "I cannot eat, because it is hard to eat!"

The Agents all around them were now watching them, like it was some sick comedy where the villain has a nice dinner with the heroes and they have a typical argument. It was strange but finding out about Loki made them realize that they were all just human.

And they were breakable.

"What are you saying, brother?" Thor scowled.

"If he eats too much in one go," Natasha realized. "He'll throw up."

"My stomach has been empty for a while and," Loki licked his lips. "I've experienced… I…"

"I think he's having a flashback." Clint said worriedly.

"Don't be silly." Loki scoffed, his voice lowering. "It's just been so long. And I—"

"Loki?" Thor held onto Loki's shoulder.

"It's just been so long, Thor." Loki was shaking slightly, eyes empty as the memory was recalled.

oOo

Loki was on his knees, hands tied behind his back as he was roughly shoved on his back to the ground. It was uncomfortable and his chains dug onto his skin. One Chitauri had a handful of scrap food and loomed it above his face, straddling Loki while it ground its hips to his, causing Loki to groan. Loki struggled and tried to move away but the other creatures held him in place as they shoved the food down his throat, covering his mouth until he swallowed.

"You love this do you not?" It told him. "I am sure you can swallow more than that."

Loki feared the worst of what else they would do.

He was choking and writhing.

And they were laughing at him.

He had tried to starve himself, and that was a mistake.

It gave the Chitauri full advantage of getting him to eat something, and Loki hated it. He hated them so much, and wished that he wasn't born with such strengths to survive. He wished he was human, because humans die so easily. Loki closed his eyes, as they fed him again.

"Please, stop." He said when he swallowed. "No more! I'm full!"

"I do not think you are." Another whispered. "Shall we feed him more so he stays healthy for the master?"

"Yes... let us."

"Is he not our field commander?"

"He will be."

One pulled at his hair and licked the remaining scrap off his chin. Loki's eyes widened and it made him shudder in response. No! He didn't want this! Anything but this. Not again... not again! He was so sore and tired.

"Just let me die!"

"Our Lord has plans for you." The taller one licked his teethy mouth with desire. "Do with him as you please!"

"STOP IT!" Loki squirmed. "Please stop!"

They did more of course…

It wasn't just food that he had to swallow.

The Chitauri ganged up on him, pulling him up to sit as another embraced him from behind, dragging his teeth to the skin of his neck, biting it and sucked. Loki cringed, his body shaking nervously as a hand went to his knees, clawing at it, prying it slowly and intimately. Loki groaned as the one behind him tightened his hold on Loki.

"Stop." Loki had his eyes shut tight.

The one in front of him captured his mouth, as Loki surrendered tiredly.

"Please let me die." He cried as soon as it pulled away from him.

They pried his legs open, and the one on his back dug his nails onto his hips.

And Loki screamed.

oOo

"Tony, you should get the hot chocolate." Bruce told him. "He might spill it."

"On it."

Tony was already on his feet, next to Loki.

Loki blinked, as he saw Tony move to his side.

"Take it easy, Bambi."

Tony, being the nice ass that he was, gently took the hot chocolate from him and placed in on the table. They watched as Loki drew breathe and felt awkward that they had to see that. Loki's hand shook in front of him and he had to clench them shut, allowing them to drop onto his lap as he stared at the hot chocolate.

Bruce sat there, staring.

"Are you feeling better?" He asked. "We're not forcing you to eat. We just want you to consider eating at least a bit."

"You know what they did to me." Loki glared. "That's why this doesn't come as a shock to you."

"We're professionals." Natasha crossed her arms. "And no, we don't know everything."

"We just know they tortured you." Clint answered.

"And don't you think some tortures meant more?" Loki narrowed his eyes. "I cannot stomach anything."

"We're not forcing you on anything." Tony mumbled.

"I shouldn't be..." Loki slumped on the seat, resigned and tired.

They really won't stop, will they?

Loki forced himself to continue talking.

He had to.

He had to know this was real.

"Mind telling us what that was?" Steve questioned.

Loki nervously shifted on his seat, and felt Thor tense a bit. Loki slapped Thor's cradling hand away and spoke to him in Asgardian so that the others wouldn't understand. Thor was as shocked as Loki was, who apologized for hitting him. Thor frowned at the others and turned his attention to Loki, who desperately wanted to tell him something.

"You're making me uncomfortable, brother." Loki hissed in their language.

"I apologize." Thor replied in the same manner. "Why are we speaking this way, Loki? Is there something you do not wish for them to know?"

"I just feel trapped when you touch me." Loki admitted.

"I'm sorry." He apologetically sighed.

"Doesn't matter."

"Will you tell us?"

"I'm not particularly comfortable with telling them anything, Thor." Green eyes searched for Thor's blue ones. "You are a given, because you are my brother, but I hold no relations to them."

"What about Stark?" Thor suggested. "He knows enough."

"Please, I will only speak to Stark if he were the last human on Earth."

"Loki." Thor warned.

"You already know, brother. So why not tell them yourself?"

"It is not mine to tell, Loki."

"Are you sure?" Loki sighed, already knowing that Thor knows. "Or is it just that you're embarrassed that dear young Loki cannot even protect his dignity, let alone his virg-"

"Don't!" Thor gritted his teeth. "No more."

Loki tensed, wincing at Thor's words.

"As you wish, brother." Loki looked away.

"Okay, would you guys fill us in?" Tony awkwardly stood by their side. "We don't understand a single word you two are saying. And are you talking about me because I hear my name mixed in with those Asgardian words."

Loki saw it.

A distraction.

"Why yes." Loki grinned forcefully. "We are talking about that hideous goatee of yours."

Silence.

Very threatening silence.

"OH MAN!" Clint doubled in laughter, clutching his stomach. "About time some one talked about that goatee."

They weren't expecting that.

"Yeah... screw you, dodo bird." Tony scowled.

"At least I don't have pointed horns on either side of my chin." Clint howled, causing Bruce to choke on his drink.

"You offend me, Bruce." Tony pouted. "I thought you were my friend."

"I'm sorry." He apologized. "It's just that... your goatee, it does have those things."

They could have sworn Loki's lips curled into a smile, even for just a moment. Loki sighed on the inside, how gullible were these mortals to end up being distracted by a simple sentence. Let alone, make a joke out of it all and end up forgetting the present situation.

They were so predictable.

"I don't think Tony's goatee is the problem here." Steve sighed.

"Face it Stark, you need a new look." Natasha snickered.

"But the goatee stays, right?" Clint laughed. "OH man, is that why you're always horny?"

"Ha. Ha." Tony scowled. "Very funny."

"He had you there because that was a good laugh." Clint wiped his eyes. "I had fun."

Loki was now ignoring them.

But that didn't last long.

"Back to the real question, Loki." Bruce stared. "What did they do to you?"

Loki turned to Thor, looking for a signal, but his brother just remained unmoving.

Loki was disappointed in him but he really couldn't bring himself to completely hate Thor. Thor was also trying to forget knowing, and he hated his brother a little for that because Thor was trying to acknowledge the fact that Loki was raped, but Thor's actions were beyond helping him cope.

Thor was trying to deny it, because he just couldn't accept the fact Loki was forced into such a thing and he wasn't there to stop it. And now this was the outcome, Loki was forever changed.

Loki really wasn't comfortable and even though he found himself lost in anger, he just couldn't bring himself to lash out.

What was the point?

He loved Thor…

No.

He still loves him.

"Go on, Loki." Thor muttered in Asgardian. "I am here with you."

"So you say."

"Whatever you tell them, I will support you."

Loki took that into consideration.

What else did Thor figure out that the Avengers couldn't?

"They…" Loki sighed, having no choice but to tell them. "They often fed me, but at times when I refused they did more than feed me scraps. And I wanted to die. They would force the food down my throat and do… other things."

Loki noticed the uncomfortable atmosphere surrounding them.

"Other things?" Bruce questioned.

"Hold on, is that why you're being bitchy about the donut?" Clint interrupted.

"I beg your pardon?!" Loki retaliated.

"Barton." Steve warned.

"Wait, Loki, what other things?" Bruce wondered.

Every one of the Avengers knew of the scans, but they didn't want any unwanted humiliation so they acted stupid and oblivious to what was already visibly right in front of them.

They were acting dumb, and Loki, too lost to observe, was fooled by it.

"You're being bitchy about the damn donut and us trying to feed you!" Clint screamed.

"Okay, stop guys." Bruce said, wanting an answer.

But then again, his question was already ignored and probably turning into dust by now.

"I apologize if you giving me any food has caused a certain drawback." Loki angrily hissed. "I forgot that you were all heroes just wanting to help."

"It's just a donut!"

"Loki, do not be like this." Thor shoved him gently. "We are at a truce, remember?"

"Ah a truce." Loki rolled his eyes, noticing the familiarity of the gesture. "I never knew we made one up."

"It was already understood."

"For you maybe."

That was when Fury had great timing, barging in with Hill and Erik behind him. They all stopped, looking at Loki like he was an alien, which he was. To them at least. The Agents flinched, because none of them even dared to ask what Fury was about to ask.

Hence why Fury is the big bad boss.

"What the hell is going on here?!" Fury shouted. "I want to know what happened to the infirmary bathroom door! And why the hell is he not handcuffed!?"

"I can explain." Tony raised his hands.
