CHAPTER 4
Sabrina and Emma arrive at the apartment.
Felix: Coming, he says putting his shirt on.
Emma: Surprise!
Felix: Well, hello! He says picking Emma up and twirling her around. What a nice surprise! Why did Sabrina knock though?
Sabrina: Because we wanted to surprise you! We have something to share and it is very exciting news!
Felix: Really? What could be more exciting than no longer having to deal with or live with the Britch! He says happily!
Sabrina: FELIX! She says nodding to Emma.
Felix: Whoops, sorry, force of habit! But really what else could be more exciting than that?
Sabrina: This! She says holding out her left hand showing off her engagement ring! Unable to hold her excitement any longer.
Felix is so excited that he almost drops Emma!
Felix: What? Really? YES! YES! YES! He says jumping up and down with Emma who is beaming!
Emma: Sabrina is going to be my new mommy! She says jumping up and down.
Felix: I can't believe it! He says sitting down, catching his breath...well, I mean, I can but I wasn't quite expecting it so soon! He says wiping away a happy tear.
Sabrina: I know. She says hugging him! I was beyond surprised, she says also beaming.
Felix: So, how did this happen? He asks wanting all of the details!
Sabrina explains how and when all of this exciting news occurred and Felix is bouncing up and down excited on the couch!
Felix: I am so happy for the three of you, he says.
Sabrina: Thank you, she says smiling, looking at her ring. I am still trying to absorb all of this! Patrick was waiting until she was out of our lives for good! I'm glad we didn't have to wait that long, she says with a laugh.
Emma: Me toooo Mommy! She says with a smile!
Felix looks at Sabrina and gives her a wink as Sabrina picks Emma up on her lap.
Sabrina: Okay, missy, what do you say we get home to daddy? Felix, I'll come by for my belongings soon. She winks.
Felix: Your things? He asks confused.
Sabrina: Oh, did I forget to mention that Patrick and Emma want me to live with them as well! Before we are married!
Felix: Yea, you kind of skipped over that he laughs! I will miss you, but I'll have to survive without ya! He teases.
A few weeks go by and Sabrina and Patrick are spending their first night together as a family.
Patrick: I'll get it, he says to Emma who jumps off the couch patiently waiting for her new mommy to come home with the last of her things from the apartment.
Patrick: Who is it? He teases
Sabrina: Who do you think? She laughs...
Patrick: I need the magic word! He teases again.
Sabrina: And that would be?
Patrick: The first thing we ever ate in this house! He laughs
Sabrina: Cupcakes! She smiles and laughs as Patrick opens the door.
Patrick: You got it! He says extremely happy to have his fiancé home for good. Welcome home my love he says kissing her in the doorway.
Sabrina: Well, I missed you too, she says after that long passionate kiss. Am I allowed in my new home or am I going to have to sleep on the porch,she laughs.
Patrick: The only place you'll be sleeping is with is me! He winks.
Emma: EWE Daddy! She says embarrassed
Patrick: Alright...he says and swoops her up in his arms over the threshold.
Sabrina: Wooooow! She laughs. Thats much better than the doorway...she says kissing him again.
Emma: Not again! Emma jokes covering her eyes.
Patrick: Get used to it kiddo! Mommy and daddy are going to be doing that a lot! He teases.
They all laugh and help Sabrina bring the rest of her stuff into their house.
A few days go by when Sabrina and Emma are just hanging out at home when the phone rings.
Sabrina: Hello?
No one answers...again she asks
Sabrina: Hello?
Emma: Who is it mommy? Emma asks standing next to her.
Sabrina: I hear breathing, who is this? Please answer me...
Emma grabs Sabrina's leg getting scared.
Sabrina: My daughter is with me and I will scream if you don't answer me right now she shouts!
There is a click on the other end of the phone and Sabrina lifts it off her ear stunned as to who it might have been.
Emma: Mommy, who was that on the phone?
Sabrina picks Emma up and sits with her on the couch stroking her hair to calm her down.
Sabrina: I don't know baby...I'm just as confused as you are...but I am sure it was just a wrong number...nothing to be scared of okay, she says trying to stay calm herself.
A little while later, Emma is playing in her room when Patrick calls Sabrina on her cell.
Sabrina: Hey you, she says with a smile answering the phone...Am I glad to hear your voice!
Patrick: Is everything okay? He asks hearing the nervousness in her voice.
Sabrina: Ummmm, I think so...I just had the weirdest phone call.
Patrick: Really? Who was it?
Sabrina: They never answered me. I asked twice and heard clear breathing on the other end and loud talking in the background and then there was a click and dial tone.
Patrick: I'm sure it was just a wrong number...I'll be home soon to protect my two beautiful girls, he smiles! Do we need anything?
Sabrina: Just you! She smiles! Feeling a bit better knowing that her Prince Charming was on his way home.
