CHAPTER 12

Two months after baby Drake is born, he is finally ready to go home.

At the nurses station:

Elizabeth: Hey...she says seeing Patrick and Sabrina walk in with the car seat and Emma ready to go home as a family.

Emma: Is my baby brother ready to go home? She asks.

Elizabeth: Baby Noah Patrick is ready to go home with his big sister! She smiles.

Emma: Yay! She exclaims.

Epiphany is watching Baby Noah who is patiently waiting for his familyto take him home.

Epiphany: (Holding Noah and talking to him) You are a beautiful child,baby Drake Jr, she smiles....Don't believe everything your parents say about me, she laughs. I'll always be on your side she whispers, giving him a kiss on his forehead.

Patrick: Are you putting bad thoughts in my sons head, he laughs....

Epiphany: Now what would make you think that Dr. Drake? She laughs handing him Noah.

Patrick: (Admiring his son) So, Noah...what do you say we break out of this joint?! He smiles. Sabrina goes over to her husband, gives hima hug and kisses her son.

Emma: We are a family? She smiles.

Sabrina: Yes, we are my love...she says holding her. We are...Emma gives her brother a light kiss.

Epiphany: Now that is a kodak moment, she says taking out her hone...smile! She takes their first family photo....Beautiful!

Patrick: Send that to me Epiphany! He smiles...putting Noah in thecar seat strapping him in securely.

Outside the hospital room Robin eavesdrops upon leaving the lab...she cant help but feel sad. She quietly listens and holds back hoping noone can see her...she tears up...

Elizabeth: Hey...she taps her on the shoulder seeing shes upset....you ok?

Robin jumps startled by her presence

Robin: Oh, hey...

Elizabeth: I know this must hurt, she says touching her shoulder for support.

Robin: Yea...she admits knowing she can tell Elizabeth sit on a near by bench.

Robin: I will admit that seeing Patrick and Emma like that with Sabrina hurts...I cant help but think of how much Ive missed being gone.

Elizabeth: Oh sweetie, she hugs her friend...listen...what happened to you wasn't your fault.

Robin: I know that...they just took so much away from me, how do I move on from that?

Elizabeth: It will take time...no doubt, but I know you'll find love again!

Robin: Not like I had with Patrick...she says peeking her head around the corner looking at the new family.

Elizabeth: I have to get back to work, but call me later and we will go have a girls night! Sound good?

Robin: Yea, she smiles...thank you, she gives her friend a hug...Thanks for listening, she says.

Elizabeth: That's what friends are for right? Everything will be okay.

Robin: See you later, she gets up and heads out herself so they don't see her.

Epiphany: Now..if you need anything, would you please let me know?

Sabrina: Thank you Epiphany, we will...she hugs her....and come by anytime to visit! She winks.

Epiphany: Count on it! She smiles

The Drake's head home as a family.

Emma: Here is Noah's diaper mommy, she says running to the nursery to help Sabrina change the baby's diaper.

Sabrina: Thank you my love, she says....you are such a big help! And a great big sister.

Emma: I know, she says with a giggle....when is daddy coming home?

Sabrina: I don't know sweetheart...she says taking a peak at herwatch...hopefully soon. Why?

Emma: I just feel like something is wrong.

Sabrina: Surprised by her response holding baby Noah. What do you mean?

Emma: Mommy was acting strange the other day.

Sabrina: Hmmmm, I'm sure everything is just fine baby...she says stroking her cheek.

Emma: Okay...Can I play outside?

Sabrina: Of course, stay close and stay where I can see you, okay?

Emma shakes her head and runs outside.

Patrick returns from a long day at the hospital, but happy to be withhis family.

Sabrina: Daddy's home! She says happily as he opens the door.

Patrick: Hi, he smiles exhausted but kisses his wife and she hands him Noah.

Sabrina: How was your shift? She asks clearly seeing he's exhausted.

Patrick: 3 surgeries and tons of patients...but I'm glad to be home with my family...where's Emma?

Sabrina: Playing outside. She said something that kind of startled me,she says...not sure if she should bring it up now, but decides to anyway.

Patrick: What's that he says shifting the baby to the other side.

Sabrina: She said Robin was acting strange the other day.

Patrick: That's interesting she said that, he says scratching his head. She wasn't herself today at work either.

Sabrina: I hope everything is okay...she says getting a bottle ready seeing Noah's getting fussy.

The doorbell rings...

Sabrina: I'll get it, she says handing Patrick the baby's bottle.

Sabrina: Noah! She says excitedly giving him a hug.

Noah: Well, hello! He says with a smile looking at his son holding his first grandson, his namesake.

Patrick: Dad, he stands up. They hug and he looks at admiration at baby Noah.

Noah: Would you look at this? He says with a smile.....Patrick hands him his grandson...

Patrick: Here is your namesake, he smiles moving his arm that is kind of stuck after giving Noah the baby.

Noah: He's beautiful, he smiles looking at Sabrina. He is definitley a Drake!

Sabrina: he's got his daddy's looks she says beaming kissing her son's forehead. It's good to see you Noah...

Noah: I couldn't stay away any longer, I had to meet this little 's my granddaughter?

Emma comes running in from the backyard after seeing her grandpa fromthe window.

Noah: There she is! He says as she runs and sits next to him on the couch and gives him a hug. Are you being a good big sister he winks.

Sabrina: She is amazing she says playing with her stepdaughters hair

Back at the Metro Court Robin is on the phone talking to someone in astern voice.

Robin: You can't make me do that! She yells through the phone.

Dr. O: Oh really? Would you rather your daughter instead?

Robin pauses.

Dr. O: I didn't think so...Now...you will DO what I SAY! She says yelling into the phone. I didn't keep you in that clinic for no reason...My daughter is dead and it's all his fault! He MUST PAY andyou WILL FOLLOW my orders and there will be no more discussions...You will hear from me when I say its time!

Robin hangs up the phone...

Robin: (Talking to herself...scared) I can't do this...I have to stop her...
