Most people would assume that he was normal, just like everyone else. Most people are wrong. (This is a reincarnation fanfic with an OC or OOC Naruto due to a different backstory)

1. Chapter 00

CHAPTER 0 - WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

I have written a reincarnation fanfiction that merges the Naruto and Highschool DxD franchises. My inspiration for this story came from an idea that I had been contemplating for some time. The goal was to create a unique take on Naruto's character within the DxD universe, while also incorporating my own twist on his backstory.

Through this fanfiction, I aimed to create a seamless connection between the two franchises and provide a new perspective on Naruto's journey. The aim was to explain Naruto's backstory and motivation in this new universe, establishing that this is not the same Naruto from the original series but an alternative reincarnation with a distinct background.

Despite efforts to accurately portray the character's flaws and backstory, there are still those who expect a happy-go-lucky and optimistic depiction of the protagonist, and view my interpretation as an out-of-character, weak, and derogatory portrayal merely sharing the same name.

Consequently, I have had to revise previous chapters multiple times to maintain consistency with the character's actions and remain true to the original story. Although some of these revisions were necessary and implemented, other complaints did not consider Naruto's backstory and origin, which resulted in a failure to appreciate that his actions are consistent with his current character. In reality, he is written to possess flaws that align with his backstory.

In response to recurring criticism that the character's portrayal is too out of character and that the use of a familiar name is merely a ploy to attract readers, I have opted to rework the character into an original creation.

Henceforth, this work will feature a character named Naruto who can be seen as an interpretation of a reborn Naruto after his demise.

To provide readers with a comprehensive understanding of the character's traits, inclinations, and background, I will include his biography, driving factors, and personality traits in advance. This way, readers can approach the story with a clear idea of what to expect.

Character Bio:

Naruto, a 16-year-old high school student, has experienced significant trauma in his life. He witnessed his mother's murder by a monster, leaving him scarred and isolated from others, except for a small group of close friends. Despite his traumatic past, Naruto possesses admirable qualities such as bravery, kindness, and compassion, particularly towards those he loves. He feels a strong urge to protect those close to him, stemming from his inability to save his mother from her tragic fate.

Naruto's mother instilled in him a fascination with magic, but his traumatic experience has also left him with deep-seated doubts and distrust in himself, in magic, and in authority figures. Consequently, he struggles to trust others and make new friends. Naruto yearns to prove the existence of the monster that killed his mother, which is a testament to his determination but can also hinder his ability to let go of the past.

However, Naruto's desire to protect those he loves can sometimes result in him being overprotective or overly cautious, leading to conflicts with his friends and loved ones. He also has difficulty moving on from the past and can become fixated on finding proof of the monster's existence, which may negatively impact his mental well-being and relationships.

In order to provide a more precise depiction of the character's actions and to demonstrate the alignment between his decisions and his personality, I will include brief explanations at the end of certain plotlines. These supplementary details will enhance the reader's comprehension of the character's nature and facilitate the detection of any discrepancies.

Given that readers should now have a clear understanding of the protagonist's intended characteristics, any criticism of the character will be viewed as a reflection of my ability to effectively convey my intended writing style. Therefore, any feedback or critique will be taken into consideration and used to improve my writing skills as a passionate hobbyist. As an inexperienced writer, I view this as a valuable learning opportunity and welcome your constructive input.
