A/N: Tucker is a heartless bastard and I hate him with a passion.

Chapter 27 – The Rain Weeps for You
"I'm not bringing you there."
Tony paced around the living room while Loki sat on the couch, wrapped with a bed sheet. Tony proceeded to grunt in annoyance while he stared at Loki, who glared back with enough intensity to burn a whole through his head. Tony stopped pacing and crossed his arms.
"My answer is still no."
Loki scowled even further.
"You're not going to convince me of anything, Loki." Tony sighed. "I'm not bringing you there."
"Why ever not?" Loki huffed, clutching the sheets around him.
"Can you see yourself?"
"I can walk just fine." He argued.
"Loki, you can barely look straight."
"They have the cure for my sickness, do they not?"
"I don't know." Tony shrugged.
'But you said—"
"I know what I said, Loki." He palmed his face. "But you have to stay here until it's safe to get back."
"Your suit is fully operational." Loki pleaded. "And I want to see my brother."
Tony grunted. "But you're sick!"
"What is the point of you going there if you have nothing to do?"
"I just want to check the place." Tony argued. "To gain information and share it with the team."
"There's no use for you to be there." Loki said almost sadly. "Why must you leave?"
"Shit, Loki!" Tony groaned. "You're making me feel guilty!"
"You wish to help me, do you not?" He looked up. "I want to see my brother."
"I know that!"
"Then what is your reason to keep me here other than the fact I am not well?"
"I'm going to buy you lunch." Tony grunted. "But after I check what's up with that event. It's just information, but hell, it's crowded, Loki. So you have to stay here."
"But why must you bring the suit with you?" Loki asked.
"So no one will recognize me. This is the biggest event in New York today and the next few days. No one will think twice that I'm Tony Stark. I'll just be the coolest guy out there."
"I think my fever has gone up." Loki pouted.
"You're such a whining teenager that's it's almost annoying."
"Not a teenager."
"You're a young adult who's a thousand and forty-eight years old," Tony pointed out. "Equivalent to eighteen—ish! You're a damn baby!"
"I'm not a child, and your math does not make sense." Loki hissed. "And I am not lying."
"Oh, lying about what?"
"My fever has gone up."
"Stop complaining."
"This is not a complain. This is a cry for help."
Tony walked towards Loki and sat next to him. He brought a hand to Loki's forehead and retracted it almost immediately. Loki stared at Tony with dull green eyes and a tired expression on his face.
"You're not kidding."
"I want to speak to Thor."
"Ugh!" Tony stood up. "Tell you what, stay here and take a bath to bring the fever down. I'll be back in an hour or so with some food and information. Maybe even some help if the team decides to come down here and retrieve us."
"It would save you the trip to bring me along than to come back." Loki mumbled.
"Saves me the money, you mean?"
"Is there a difference?"
"Loki, the answer is still no."
There was a very long pause and tension between the two of them.
"I have the tesseract." Loki admitted, turning a little red. "Will you leave me alone unguarded?"
"What?" Tony blinked.
"Um—"
"Say what now?"
"I'm sorry?"
"Loki, what?!"
"I— I just—"
"SHIT!" Tony palmed his face. "Where did you hide it?"
"It's with me."
"Okay we've established that. Where exactly is it with you?"
"I cannot access it."
"Access what?"
"My magic," Loki said dryly. "It is near extinct, I believe."
"You're creeping me out with the way you calmly said that."
"What do you want me to do?" Loki scrunched his face. "You wish for me to scream and cause a scene that'll gain the attention of our neighbors?"
"Okay, fine. You can't access it because of your magic, right?"
"I've hidden it, if that's what you meant."
"Shit."
oOo
Fury, Steve and Hill were having a small meeting together in the main room. Hill suddenly received a call and punched in the call on the table. Steve sat up straight while Fury lounged around with his hands together. Fury took a deep breath and said,
"You're calling so soon, Stark?"
"Shut up, Fury. Who's with you?"
"Other than Hill and Steve, it's just us." Fury answered.
"Where are Thor, Barton and Bruce?"
"Thor's with Banner." Hill answered.
"And Clint is with Natasha in the infirmary." Steve said.
"Is Barton holding up alright with that injured leg of his?"
"He's up and walking, if that's what you're asking." Hill mumbled.
"Conversation aside, Stark." Fury said. "Did you find any other bright ideas to find the tesseract?"
"I already know the freaking reason why the gamma detector didn't work last night." Tony sighed on the other end. "It's not because it's not here anymore or anywhere near there… it's…"
Tony paused.
"Stark?" Fury called. "Any time soon before I allow you to get information on that crappy event you're going to."
"First of all, I'm volunteering to go."
"Here we go again." Hill rolled her eyes.
"Second of all, it's not a crappy event. It's a fucking dream to people to belong in society where everyone's weird! And Thirdly! I think this will give you reason to bring the team down to come and get Loki and I."
"Why is that?" Fury glared.
"I think he's on to something." Steve said.
"Is this a secure line?"
"It's as secure as it has to be." Hill answered.
"Loki has the T."
"The what?" Steve asked in confusion.
"The T— you don't know what the T is? The—The T! Guys, work with me here."
"You're not making sense, Stark." Fury grunted.
"The cube."
Silence.
"Yeah, Loki has it."
"How did you find it?"
"Loki confessed, Fury. I need help, so when is the cure ready?"
"Why are you asking for it?"
"I have rights!" Tony choked. "I know you're bold enough to not care about us, especially Loki since Thor's not there, but damn it, Fury! I'm not letting you sacrifice us for the cube or your safety home. The tesseract is with Loki and we won't be able to get to it without his magic."
"So he took it?" Steve said. "So our theory is correct?"
"I'm not prying that answer from him, but yeah. Now when is the cure gonna be done?"
"An hour or so," Fury deadpanned. "They've been working non-stop."
"Before you ask, Stark," Hill added. "They're taking shifts."
"Good." Tony breathed. "Someone has to get down here and meet me."
"The cure's not yet done, but I'll have it delivered later on." Fury said. "I can give you Rogers for backup but that's it. I'm not risking any other team member down there. We're already screwed enough as we are."
"Where exactly are we going to meet up?" Steve asked.
"Comic Con, Steve." Tony whined. "You're more than welcome to join me."
"You expect me to waltz in there and get you?" Steve sighed. "Won't they recognize us?"
"Wear your Captain America suit and no one will be the wiser."
"Fine, but how do you expect me to drop there without being found out?"
"We'll have Thor do the hiding for us." Fury said. "Then we'll have the Agents knock out some cameras so Rogers could get there to the event, but other than that, you're on your own."
"Why are we adding Thor?"
"We can't exactly interfere with this world anymore." Hill said. "Any more hacking would draw suspicion from the government. They may not be technologically advanced as us, but they're not exactly dumb."
"We'll leave Thor to do the dirty work for us." Fury stated.
"How long?" Tony asked.
"Give Rogers 30 minutes tops. I'll have you meet him there."
"Keep your line open, Tony." Steve said.
"Roger that."
There was static on the other end.
Click.
The line died.
"Rogers, I need you to meet up with Stark to get the tesseract." Fury said. "I'm sure the Other already knows where it is."
"You want me there alone?"
"Yes." Fury turned to Hill. "Hill, talk to Banner and Thor. We may need Thor on this."
Hill nodded and proceeded to call them.
"Why Thor?" Steve wondered.
"We're going to kill the camera once you drop down central park."
"Oh."
When Hill finished the call, she came back and said her findings.
"Its broad daylight right now," Hill said, punching codes on her phone. "Thor said he could conjure up a storm and darken the skies to hide you. It may be enough to bring the Quinjet down too."
"Smart idea." Steve nodded.
"Wear your suit as Stark said, along with the face cover." Fury sighed. "We don't have much of a choice at this moment. Rest assured, we'll be keeping watch and prevent police from cornering you on the streets."
"And the cure?"
"We'll have it delivered by Barton as soon as it's finished. If it's dark enough outside, he'll bring the Quinjet down to central park and take you to the skies and back here. Let's just hope that it's that easy and no more problems rise up. Now move it."
"Got it." Steve stood up and walked away.
oOo
"You have a lot of explaining to do."
Tony turned to Loki, who sat there trying to look as innocent as possible. And to some degree, Tony knew it was working. What an ass! Tony shook his head and tried to glare, but it only came off as a warning look. Loki didn't even find it all that threatening.
"Where do you want me to start?" Loki said dryly.
"First of all, why?"
"I cannot answer that, Tony."
"Why the hell not?"
"Because Thor deserves that answer," Loki glared. "Not you."
"Listen up, Princess." Tony scowled. "I have a right to know. I'm your damn caretaker right now and any amount of sweet talking won't get you to that event with me."
"Who said I was sweet talking?" Loki hissed.
"Talk, now."
"The Other may have threatened me to take it and I figured I could use it to my advantage."
"And how did that go?" Tony rolled his eyes.
"It went miserably." Loki whined.
"Where'd you put it exactly?"
"In a space pocket."
"In a space pocket?" Tony said hesitantly.
"Is there a problem?" Loki titled his head mockingly.
"You couldn't have put it in the vents or someplace Barton would find it? Or maybe under the toilet or whatever, but instead you put it in a damn space pocket?"
"I cannot access my magic to retrieve it."
"We need the cure, I know that!" Tony palmed his face. "Why did you have to make it so difficult?"
"Can I come with you then?" Loki said almost pleadingly.
"No."
"Again, why?"
"Too dangerous."
"So you would leave me here alone?"
"You're safer here."
"I do not like it here." Loki complained. "Too bland."
"T—too bland?" Tony gaped. "Are you kidding me?"
"It reflects your personality in style."
"Says the sick person in the room!"
"You have such tacky skills in picking interior design, Stark."
"Now you're just messing with me."
"I want to go."
"You don't have a choice!" Tony shouted. "Thor's not going to Earth, okay! It's just Steve, and possibly Barton with the cure but Thor's not going down here!"
Loki was taken aback by his anger.
Drip.
No sooner did the rain fall, cutting their silence and made the room colder than usual. Tony and Loki stared at the glass window. They watched as the city was drowned in rain and darkness. The room dimmed further, the only light illuminating the room was the lamp shade and the lights now opening out on the streets and the buildings surrounding them.
Tony sighed and walked over to the window and pulled the curtain to a close.
Loki felt lonely.
He could still hear the distant plops of the rain, dripping down the glass and the eerie noise it brought upon the Earth. It was calming, soothing and it bore sadness and worry.
Loki could feel it.
"The rain is Thor's doing," Loki mumbled as he hugged himself. "Is it not?"
"Yeah," Tony sighed and turned around. "How'd you know?"
"It speaks of sorrow,"
Loki sighed and looked back.
"—and longing."
Tony felt a deep connection of understanding. He watched as Loki brought his knees up to his chest again and clutched the bed sheet tighter around him. When Loki looked away, Tony understood why. Tony opened the curtains a little, leaving a small gap that showed the darkness of the outside and the rain dribbling down the glass.
Loki had looked back, eying the drops.
"Here," Tony handed Loki his phone. "I have Jarvis with me in the suit."
Loki accepted it silently.
"You can contact me through that if you get in trouble, or if you're in any pain." He mumbled.
"You'll leave me here to rot." Loki voiced. "As will my brother once we reach Asgard."
"You know that's not true."
Yes, Loki knows that's not true.
Loki knew that Thor wouldn't allow that to happen to him. But why was there still some form of doubt clouding his judgment? Loki sighed as he watched Tony from the corner of his eye, putting on the suit and walking towards the door.
"See yah." Tony said softly.
Loki couldn't care less as he did not answer and did not look back. He could only hear the soft thud of the door and the knob clicking shut as it was drowned by the soft sound of the rain, growing intensely as it continued. Thor was probably restless and this was the only way to keep people indoors and prevent them from seeing anything.
"I'm so sorry." Loki mumbled.
oOo
Raining.
The wind picked up, as the sky worsened, enveloping New York in darkness and cold mist. Everyone ran for cover and dared not pass through the streets in such weather. News reports state a shocking and drastic change to the sudden warm skies and temperature that riddled New York this morning. It worsened into a whirlwind of confusion as meteorologists try to understand the sudden change.
Tony however, could really care less as long as he's in his suit.
"Where is it again?" Tony asked.
"A few blocks down the street to the right, Sir."
"Keep the sensors and communication online."
He walked out of the hotel, confident that the rain wouldn't touch him. And it's because of the suit that he was able to walk through such a weather in the first place. Jarvis had his sensors up, giving Tony the advantage to look through the street without much problem. Unlike the normal civilians who got caught up in the mess.
"Thor's not kidding when he plans to hide us." Tony mumbled. "Nobody will think twice."
He started walking as some people bothered to eye him.
Little did he know that Tucker was on the other side of the street, waiting.
Drenched with water, Tucker laughed.
"Bingo." He grinned. "Now that he's out of the way, it makes my day easier."
"Quickly retrieve the tesseract!" The Other hissed inside his head.
"What's the plan again?"
"This event you speak of—"
"Right, you cause a distraction there." Tucker whispered. "And I gain enough time to do what I want to Snow-flake."
"Do not forget the tesseract, foolish Mortal!"
"I know."
"Remember those words I told you?"
"I memorized them." Tucker huffed. "Why do you want me to say those things to him? It's not my style."
"Style or not, he will bow down to you."
"Literally or figuratively?"
"Just tell him those words and he will know!" The Other laughed. "He will know who he truly belongs to."
"Whatever, get out of my head and let me do my job."
He carefully crossed the road, his jacket curled tightly around him. He pushed the door open to the hotel as a kind man handed him a towel, and told him about the strange weather. Tucker pretended to care and be nice to the man as he took the towel and tried to dry himself.
"What floor are you in, Sir?" The man asked.
"Room 249," Tucker sighed as he eyed the man's name tag. "My friend and I switched places the other day. I was in that Iron Man suit, you know?"
"Oh, I saw that." Johnny was his name. "Nice costume."
"Yeah, had fun making it," Tucker laughed. "The three of us were planning to go to the Cosplay event here in New York, but I kinda forgot a few belongings upstairs and my friend has the key. And I don't want my other friend to get up and get the door. He's kinda sick."
"Sorry to hear that."
"Mind if you help out?"
"Oh, sure."
Once they reached the corner towards the narrow hallway to the elevator, Tucker pointed at one of the open storage rooms and said he could smell fire. The man didn't believe him, but Tucker insisted that he can smell the fire and it would be bad if everyone was caught in it. The man was foolish enough to look inside. Tucker pushed the guy in and covered his mouth and pointed the gun to his face. There was no security camera in the storage room, so Tucker grinned and quickly twisted the man's head.
Snap.
The man's neck cracked and he fell to the ground.
"That was easy." Tucker huffed and knelt down. "Now, Johnny."
He took the key from the guy's pocket and laughed.
"Where's security at?"
Tucker was still dripping wet, but he confidently hid his gun and walked to one of the basements headed to the security room and more storage. He knocked on the door and opened it without a second thought. Tucker saw two guys sitting on the chair, looking at the screen full of different hallways, stairs and elevator. The room was tight and small, but it was convenient for the rest of them.
"Hey pal, you're not supposed to be in here."
"I wouldn't be down here if I didn't have the key." Tucker whirled it around.
"Jerry, you know him?"
"No, Ronny."
Jerry, a fat guy, wearing a dark jacket and uniform stood up threateningly. If it wasn't for the huge stomach bulging out of his outfit, Tucker might have believed he had a chance against him. Tucker wanted to laugh. Ronny, middle aged man, lean and big as Tucker was, had the same dark jacket as the first guy. Not as threatening at all. Damn, Tucker could take these two out in a heartbeat.
This was going to be as easy as the first.
"Boss said I'm on the next shift." Tucker said dryly and threateningly.
"You're the new replacement for Dino?" Jerry asked.
"Yeah."
"You're not in uniform."
"Just started today, don't have a uniform till next week." Tucker licked his lips. "Anyways, you can call in for confirmation."
"Can I look at some I.D?" Ronny stood up from his seat and walked towards him.
"Sure."
Tucker pretended to take out his wallet, while the first security guard dialed on the phone. Tucker pointed the gun at the second guy, putting a finger to his lips to keep him quiet. Before Jerry could get an answer from someone on the phone, there was a soft hiss and a bright flash from behind him.
When he turned around, Ronny was on the ground.
A bullet to the head.
"Shh…" Tucker pointed the gun at him. "Put the phone down."
Jerry slowly placed the phone down and raised both his arms to signal his defeat. Tucker just wasn't buying the whole thing so he clicked the gun to a ready.
"Please," Jerry said. "I have a son."
"Sorry." Tucker sighed. "But I don't care."
And Jerry fell to the ground.
Another bullet to the head.
"I'm so glad I have a silencer." Tucker walked over to the two and rummaged through keys. "Alright, jackpot."
He checked the video feed from today and replayed it. He saw Stark come out of the room, but Loki wasn't anywhere near him. He replayed the scenes from yesterday and checked the feed and watched as Loki went in the room and never came out.
"Perfect." Tucker licked his lips again. "All alone and mine for the taking."
Tucker knelt to the ground and pulled the clothes from Ronny's body and wore them. It was a perfect fit. His previous clothes were disregarded and trashed while he now wore the security clothes with the dark jacket. He looked normal, save for the look of determination on his face.
He could almost taste him.
oOo
Loki laid his head on the couch handle as he played with Tony's phone. He listened to the rain drops outside as he occasionally stared at it. He was so glad he was facing the window. Loki huffed in frustration as he played with it and found a lot of things that could be used for potential blackmail material. But Loki found that useless for now, but maybe at a later date.
"Stupid Mortal," Loki grumbled. "He thinks he could leave me alone without anything to do for the next few hours. How utterly rude and disrespectful."
Loki scowled.
Warm… it was too warm.
Loki eyed the window, and watched the rain drops. He wanted to be drenched in water and feel the cold again. He admitted before that he hated the cold, given his heritage, but he would do well with some of it. Loki had mixed feelings about the temperature he liked. He missed Thor's hugs, no matter how much it pained him to say so and yet he finds himself rejecting the idea of it.
Why did he have to be complicated?
Suddenly…
Loki's stomach growled.
Tony wasn't going to come back with food, was he?
Nope.
Loki felt hungry again.
And just when he had his appetite back, there was no food.
"Um, Jarvis?" Loki opened the phone.
"Do you need assistance?"
"Is there a way to get a good meal around here?" Loki wondered. "Tony could pay, can't he?"
"Of course, Sir," Jarvis said. "I could call for a meal for you at the hotel. Do you have any preference?"
"Not much meat." Loki said. "Perhaps something healthy, I suppose."
"As oppose to Mr. Stark's usual preference of meat." Jarvis half mocked his own creator. "It is done. Expect the meal to arrive in a few minutes."
"That is quick." Loki mumbled.
No sooner did Loki begin to like the strange calming silence of the rain dripping. He played with the phone and managed to get into Tony's contact numbers and eyed the names on the list.
Beep. Beep.
Loki accidentally pressed Banner's number.
Loki panicked for a moment when the phone vibrated on his hand and the speakers cut through the silence.
"Hello?" Bruce asked. "Tony, is that you?"
Loki hesitated.
"Tony, why are you calling? I thought you were at the convention thing." Bruce sighed. "Hello? Tony this isn't funny."
"Is Stark not there?" Thor asked.
"Thor?" Loki asked.
"Loki?" Bruce gasped.
"My brother is there?"
"I think so, hold on. Loki? Is that you?"
"T—Tony gave me his phone, Dr. Banner." Loki muttered. "Forgive me for intruding. I simply pressed your name by accident."
"It's not a problem. How are you feeling?"
"Terrible."
"Is it your fever?"
"Most likely," Loki sat up and wrapped the bed sheet tighter around him. "It gradually increased since last night."
"Tony said he gave you a cold bath." Bruce said. "Could you do that without drowning?"
"What are you implying, Banner?" Thor gasped.
Loki snickered. "I am tired, but I am capable."
"That's good." Bruce sighed. "They already have the cure ready. They just need to test it to make sure. I think Clint will go down there once it's finished and given to Natasha."
"Aye," Loki sighed. "Um—if it is not too much to ask, since Thor is there, may I speak to him?"
"Oh sure."
There was shuffling on the other end.
Thor breathed loudly.
"Brother?" Loki called.
"Loki, I thought I would never hear you voice again."
"I'm sorry," He choked. "You already know and I'm sorry. I should not have left."
"You need not explain. I figured it out."
"You did?"
"Aye."
There was an awkward silence and a painful sigh on the other end.
Loki heard tools being moved.
"The rain… is it… umm…" Loki mumbled. "Yours?"
"Aye, it was me." Thor said softly. "They said they needed a way to hide, so I agreed. But it was mostly for you. I figured it would calm you down."
"It did," Loki admitted. "Though the people here are not happy about the weather."
"It is just a bit of rain."
"With some strong wind."
"It'll be like passing gas!" Thor laughed as he heard Loki snicker silently. "But that aside, I am glad you are well."
"Hmm..." Loki answered. "Um, what are you doing with Dr. Banner?"
"He is testing me, I believe."
"What for?"
"They took quite a large amount of my blood last night." Thor laughed again. "I believe I had a faint dizzy spell that caused them some concern."
"You almost collapsed." Bruce added.
"Thor!" Loki whined. "What are you thinking?"
"It is just blood, Loki."
"You should not have allowed them!"
"I did not collapse, Loki."
"But why would you allow them so much? You know how these people are, Thor. Some of them are ruthless and will surely use that against you. Are—are you sure you are well?"
"Nay, Loki!" Thor answered. "I am well. I've lost more blood in battle than this."
"We're both afraid of needles." Loki mumbled. "Do not lie about it."
It was true.
Circumstances say otherwise.
"I'm worried about you, Loki."
"Keep the rain weeping and you would not have to worry about me, but you should try and worry less and more for the teammate who is near death as we speak."
"She will live. And so will you."
Loki felt his heart skip a beat.
"Do not leave me, Thor." Loki said softly as he eyed the rain.
"I won't."
oOo
Once Tony got inside the Comic Con, his suit was dripping wet and there were some people trapped in the building. Not really trapped but the rain simply prevented anyone from walking outside. There were cosplayers everywhere with different costumes. Star wars, Avengers, X-men? What was that again? Oh right, Tony read about that and they're part of the Avengers, but in a different contract, sort of.
Whatever, honestly, Tony forgot.
There's Spider Man too, also a different issue. There are also dudes known as the guardians of the galaxy. Wow. There were also a bunch of Anime fans like Naruto, Dragon Ball, transformers, and a few horrors here and there. Seriously, Tony couldn't count how many things were in there. There's also Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash!
Hell, there's too much!
"They weren't kidding when they said a lot of people would be down here." Tony smirked. "Scan any potential threats, Jarvis."
"I do not think there are."
"You sure?" Tony laughed. "I think I find everything threatening."
"It is hard to distinguish with facial recognition, Sir."
"How about thermal imaging?"
"I doubt there will be much of a difference sir." Jarvis answered. "These people are as warm as you are in this condition, and depending on their suit."
"And how sweaty they are, ew, okay." Tony pointed with his eyes. "Look at that, Jarvis. That effortless costume."
There was a woman to his right, down the corner.
She was wearing an ACDC shirt and a painted beard.
"Are they seriously going with this Toni Stark thing?" Tony gaped.
"You've read too much of this world, Sir."
"I want to be updated."
"It is still not wise."
"Shut up Jarvis." Tony huffed. "How long till Steve gets here?"
"He sent a message, Sir." Jarvis replied. "He is approximately 23.5 minutes en route."
"How did he get down?"
"Apparently, Agent Maria Hill was driving the Quinjet low enough to drop Captain Rogers down central Park on a motorcycle, Sir."
"Ohh," Tony grinned. "That's gonna be a good entrance. Come on Jarvis, let's find a comfy place to stay in where we're not being taken a picture of."
"Might I advise for you to go to the actual Press conference?"
"Where's that?"
"A little down the corner, Sir."
"Who do you think is there?"
"All the actors said by the people you've met."
"Horray." Tony said dryly. "Come on, let's not waste time and just get this over with."
oOo
Tucker walked out and followed one of the Hotel attendants while he held the keys. He was already at the second floor, away from the people at the lobby. Tucker did not want to be found out so soon, because that was going to be a waste of time and effort. He was busy eying the keys when he bumped into a maid, holding onto bed sheets.
"Sorry." The woman said.
"It's fine, just passing by to make sure everything's secure." Tucker smiled.
"I don't think we've met. My name's Tina." She said. "Are you new here?"
"Butch," Tucker nodded. "Yeah, new recruit. Excuse me."
Tucker walked away immediately, because he knew she was trying to flirt. Tucker did not find her appealing at all. He walked to the elevator and decided to go to the 22nd floor and gain a pass from the upper floors through one of the attendants there.
"Hey pal!" Tucker called once he got out of the elevator.
"Is something wrong, Sir?" The guy asked.
"Nothing, just checking security," He said. "Are you new here?
"Just started working a week ago."
"You have any idea about the events on the 24th floor?"
"It's part of my floor up to the 25th." The guy mumbled.
"Any room service being called up?"
"There are five rooms calling for breakfast, but that's not my job." He answered. "Why?"
"We found issues on the 24th. It's probably illegal possession of drugs." Tucker lied. "I wanted to contact the police thanks to the source, but I need to check first before they deem it as false alarm or a prank call."
"That's alarming."
"You have a pass, kid?"
"Oh, here." The guy didn't even suspect anything.
"Thanks." Tucker took the pass card. "Stay out and tell no one, kid. Not even the staff, we might have an inside job. If something goes wrong, call the police, but only if something's wrong, got it?"
"S—sure." He walked away immediately.
So gullible.
Tucker smirked.
There was no stopping him now.
Room 249.
Tucker walked into the elevator and licked his lips.
Mine.
All mine.
