AN EVENTFUL DAY II

I looked forward at the trashed, disheveled camp store. The windows we're shattered, and on the shelf that would usually have products on it there was a note that read "Thanks for the thermal underwear! :P"

The cash register was turned over and open.

"What happened here? Who did this?" I asked.
""We're not sure, that's why we wanted to know if you knew anything."
"Well I don't know anything but if we find out anything we'll tell you"
""Did they get any money?" Nico asked, staring at the cash register.
"No, luckily we moved any drachmas to the Big House, to prepare for renovations."

"You should get back to training," Chiron said his voice tainted with worry, I knew he was still stressed over this even though he seemed calm and collected.

"Nico and I both nodded and headed out back to the woods. We had reached Zeus' fist when my phone started buzzing again. It was Will calling back. I looked at Nico, then looked at my phone trying to decided which one should get my attention.

"Uh Nico, can I just take this call, it'll be real quick," I pleaded.
"Nico looked a little disappointed but nodded, he pointed to himself then over to a cluster of trees. I nodded, hoping it meant that he was going over there. Sure enough he waled over there and sat on a stump.

"Hey Will," I said answering the phone.
"Hey, I was calling to ask if anything strange happened at camp recently..." He replied, not stopping to beat around the bush, which was fine, I guess.
"Will, could you hold on a sec, I'm just going to climb up a tree?" I half asked, half told him.

""Sure," he replied, I put my phone in my pocket but not before I heard him mutter "You and your trees."
quickly climbed up an olive tree, sitting on the one of the lower branches. /p
"Kay, I'm back," I said, after taking the phone out of my pocket,"and yes, something strange has happened, the camp store was broken into and trashed, and it didn't have the same kind of Travis and Connor style to it. It could still be them though, but I doubt. Wait, why do you ask?"
"Well, I had a strange dream.." He started.
"Mhmm..?" I said, prompting him to continue.
"There was a group of demigods. Talking about causing chaos in camp, turning the campers against each other, you know, all that evil stuff.."
I rolled my eyes at that last part,"Yeah, that evil stuff," I joked.

I looked over at Nico all alone on the stump staring at the ground and playing with...twigs I think.
"Will, I'm going to have to call you back, but thanks for the info, it'll come in handy," I said, jumping off them tree.
"No problem." He replied, then I hung up.

I walked over to Nico and sat on a stump opposite him. There are usually a lot of stumps because this is what the Ares kids do when they need to ventilate.

"So what is it you wanted to show me?" I asked him, trying to spark his enthusiasm for it.

Nico stared at me for a while, and I felt kind of awkward. I was contemplating asking him again when he finally spoke.
"Well, it's not really special.." He murmured.
"That's fine."
He took a deep breath.
"See that pile of bones?" He said pointing to some squirrel bones.

I shuddered when I saw them, then nodded.

"Watch." He stated as he pointed towards them, the bones started shaking then floating up in the air and putting themselves together, soon enough there was a squirrel skeleton.
"Woah," I said in awe.

"I can make them come to life as well, but it drains a lot of my energy.

"That's amazing Nico!" I exclaimed, but he didn't seem as excited as I did, I got the feeling this isn't really what he wanted to show me, what he wanted to show me he was excited about, this seemed to make him feel as if the world were ending.

I was just about to ask him what was wrong when we heard the conch horn for dinner sound.

"We should get going," I told him, getting up off the stump and helping him off.

He nodded, and we walked off to the pavilion in silence.

Wooh! This chapter was finished quickly! I write every night, so I don't usually finish in one night, I'm probably going to post this chapter tomorrow instead of tonight so everyone can read the last chapter. Thank you for reading!
