This takes place during "The Human Factor" near the end of season five. After working an investigation with Special Agent Stack, Castle and Beckett are faced with a tough decision. It starts with some canon dialogue and goes AU from there.

Authors Note: This is AU; A different scenario after Rick returns to the Precinct in Ep 3-1. Based on quotes I live by, "Castle, go home! This is an AU sequel to my story, Potions of Love. I will bring aspects of Potions of Love into this follow-up saga, so I encourage followers to browse the first story, which was loosely based on the movie Love Potion Number 9. Many of the characters in this story are from the TV series #Castle, which ABC and Andrew Marlowe own. Others are from my imagination.
