Hey guys... Chirith here. Sorry for not being able to post new chapters for a while, Code vein broke me and I go busy with college and fixing my Skyrim mod.
This is an alternate version of Love, dungeon, deities, and I, the advisor of a love goddess. I won't spoil what is happening bu this fic takes several years before the canon of Danmachi verse. Expect OOC, humor, crack, etc.
This is an alternate universe of Danmachi so some characters are alive and some game characters might be here or there.
Disclaimer: I do not own Danmachi or anything else in this story other than my OC and some future plots that might come up.
It has been 2 months
2 months since I arrived in this world and I managed to become a shop owner with the help of this lady named Freya. I have the magic of my Skyrim Character so I am fine... probably. After she found out that I could enchant things, thank you EnaiSion for your mods, I was immediately hired and she put a tattoo on my back. Now, normally, I would not agree to things like this but I was hungry and possibly turning insane.
Anyway, ever since that day, I finally managed to own a shop and have a sort of Pseudo-
"Nicola, can you take the monster crystals on the shelf in the storage?" Family.
Nicola Karnstein, a kid around 8 years old with blonde hair, nodded and ran towards the storage. It was during my walk last month that we found him. My boss took pity on him and his sister and now they live with me as a part of her reserve and hidden unit or something. Not that I care or anything, I just want to go back home and play video games.
While I do have my Alchemy and enchanting skills, I can also, as stated before, use magic.
Man, it's a good thing I have Phenderix's magical world mod installed cause the darkness magic there is amazing! I also have Apocalypse, Glamoril, Triumvirate, etc. Sadly, I am a dumbass and do not have them all memorized which is why I have a spell book!
Several spell books that only I can read.
Let's just say I only use a few kinds of spells, cause why not?
As I minded my business by preparing the potions, a chime echoed inside the area, and in came a blonde. She was short, around 5 feet or shorter with a dark trench coat over a black shit over a purple... dress? I dunno what it's called.
"I'm back," She called out while removing her trench coat and mask.
"Mia! Welcome back!" Nicola, my... assistant? I'm not sure, I do teach him how to use frost magic, which is a bad idea because I don't even know how I can use magic, but, hey! It works! The little blonde ran toward his sister after putting the box of monster crystals on top of a desk with a glowing star with several symbols.
"Hello, Nicola," Mia greeted as she scooped her little brother in her arms.
"How's your patrol today?"
"It was fine, you? Did you finish your studies?"
"Yep! Big bro helped me! He even taught me how to use magic!"
I don't see showing you how to use an ice spike teaching. Hell, I just turned around and before I knew it, you were creating ice spikes from the ground.
"Is that so? Come on, I want to take a shower and you smell like you haven't taken a bath yet," Lucky kid... bathing with and seeing a beauty naked...
"Trouble in paradise?" A person under a cloak asked playfully. Their voice was feminine and there was an air around them that made them feel dangerous.
"Not really," Answering their question, I handed them an attache case.
"Why don't you eat with the others at the Hostess?"
"Well, I don't mind and Mia just came back."
"Have you ever thought of learning to cook?"
Hearing their question, I gave them a look.
"Fair point. Speaking of which, your tip was quite useful. The others were crying when they ate."
"You're using my fried rice recipe... don't fuck it up," I said while nodding at a giant of a man that entered the shop.
"Lady Freya, it's time." The man said towards the figure.
"Keep up the good work, Ren." Silver eyes gleamed under the shadows on the hood over their face.
"Stay safe, boss."
Ah yes, I am a member of the Freya Familia. Freya, the Norse goddess of beauty and other things, found me worthy of joining her...
wait, I never made a move on her so I am not a member of her boy toys.
Yeah, she found me worthy of joining her Familia/Family as an auxiliary and only known by her, the captain, and a guy named Allen.
Anyways, Allen is a bit of a hardass but I see what he looks like when he spots Mia and Nicola. Maybe he lost a family member.
The captain, on the other hand, is a stoic man and follows our boss. I saw him kill a woman after she said she was more beautiful than Freya. Also, it seems like he loves Freya. Well, from the information I gathered from Freya and the others, it seems like most, if not all members, love Freya. But I think they are just thirsty. Hey, Freya might be hot, but she is like an older sister to me.
Looking at the magic crystals inside the box, I pulled out the largest, around the size of my palm, and pulled out a spear. Taking out my weapon enchanting grimoire, it opened and flew in the air, showing a page detailing the enchantment the spear needed.
A simple stamina absorption spell. With the magic crystal that was supplied with it, it can drain the stamina of the target and give it to the user.
It takes a while to enchant an item and it could last from a second to several minutes.
Deciding to thank the spear's owner for the generous supply of magic crystals, I looked at my enchantment grimoire. As if knowing what I wanted, the pages flipped until they stopped at a page that read 'Loyalty'.
It was a simple enchantment that allows the user to have his or her weapon to return in their hands. Although it might take a second or so, it was pretty useful.
Okay, this should be enough.
Pressing my hands on the table and focusing on the monster crystal and the weapon...
This never gets old.
A green light surrounded the spear along with a faint dark blue-ish inner layer while the monster crystal glowed.
2 minutes.
The process took a couple of minutes and it was worth it. The enchantments were powerful and it was ready to be 'bonded' with their owner.
To think that this job alone had me earn 100 thousand Vallis. Sure, it has the monster crystal' cost excluded, and some Familia-exclusive discount, but it was enough to pay for a lot of things. Well, I do have my special daggers similar in design to the dragon priest daggers...
Why? Cause they are cool.
Well, enough of that, I have ten more things to enchant. two more for the familia, three for Ganesha, one set of gauntlets for Demeter, a dagger for someone called the black cat, whoever that is. Also three staves for a kind of magic, One for an old hag, one for an anonymous source that only requested that their staff be enchanted with a fire element spell, and some fancy letter from a... noble, scholar, or something.
Well, cue the montage.
For my Familia members:
A shortsword enchanted with fire to find out if the user could cook food while using it. around 12, 000
A ring, probably for marriage, enchanted to reduce the effects of cold and heat, making it perfect for travelers. They wanted the best enchantment I can put and with their supplied monster crystal it earned me around 200, 000 Vallis. Why? Well, non-weapon enchantments tend to be more passive and have more demand than weapons.
For Ganesha Familia:
A one-handed sword. Okay, this was my favorite as it was a challenge. Basically, it was the Batman of swords. It might hurt but never lethally. It took me around an hour to find out the right combination of enchantments to use. Apparently, since it was a new sword, I was allowed to recommend a name. I recommended that they name the sword Batsword 'cause why not? It earned me around 20, 000 Vallis.
A whip... Why? Well, as long as I earn money. Basically, the owner requested that it be made more effective against monsters... I swear I did not try to play with it and smack my cheek. Nope! Fine, I did! I wanted to be a Belmont! I just slapped a durability enhancement and another one that made it do more damage to targets, earning me a good amount of 50, 000 Vallis
Lastly, armor that was requested to lessen the damage taken by the user. The requestor offered up a good amount of a million Vallis and I made damn sure it was worth it. I also threw in a self-cleaning enchantment on it for further partnership purposes.
Demeter wanted a pair of gauntlets enchanted for a brawler and paid around 50, 000 Vallis up front. The gauntlets were enchanted to be tougher and more comfortable. As someone who practiced with similar equipment, I know how uncomfortable they could get, especially hand wraps.
The black cat wanted their dagger to be enchanted to cut lighter and tougher, which was quite easy and a bit disappointing. Well, it was only worth around 10, 000 Vallis.
For the staves:
The old hag wanted a staff that can be used enchanted to allow her to focus more Magic/Mana/Mind.
Side note: They call mana in this world Mind. It's quite confusing.
It was a bit annoying. She gave me a Staff that could not conduct Mind very well. It earned me around 50, 000 Vallis, but knowing that hag, it was pocket change compared to her earnings.
The one from an anonymous source. Hmm... it seems like an assessment of sorts. Well, just slapped a regular flames enchantment on it. If it works, it works. It also earned me around 20, 000 Vallis.
Lastly, the staff for the one with the pretty handwriting with an... Holy shit! That's a huge monster crystal! Normally, I would have to 'fuse' several monster crystals to have a size like this. Man.
Oh, the request was for a one-of-a-kind enchantment as a gift. Probably for someone important. Well, it seems like it will be a fairly ornamental piece so why not just a protection spell fueled by the user along with an enchantment that will increase the potency of the user's magic? With this size of monster crystal...
The light died down and before I knew it, I was already on the floor on my back. my body felt so heavy and I was fucking drenched from head to toe.
"Ren!" Mia's voice echoed in the shop and I could hear footsteps.
"What's wrong? You're drenched!"
"I'm fine... just hit the limit in enchanting stuff..."
Breathe in, Breathe out.

Huh?
Mia, who was a good few inches shorter and smaller than me, carried me in her arms effortlessly.
"Sheesh, you're the one who tells me to not overwork myself and here you are," The young 18-year-old set me down on the couch and went to get a glass of water.
"Okay, okay. I am a hypocrite." Taking the glass of water, I looked at her and chuckled.
"What's funny?"
"Nothing... just remembering how you used to act a month ago. How's the gear?"
"They're fine. The enchantments are great. Rin did her best."
"Good, I don't want you to die out there." Wait... why are you angry? "Speaking of which, you go in patrols with a Familia? You Bro-con-yeowch! Why'd you hit me?!"
"Becase, I am not a bro-con. Besides, It's not that strong." The blonde said as she gave me a smile. "I'll watch the shop tomorrow. You should go to the dungeon."
"I will, I have to practice my magic," I said with a smile to my roommate. "We should eat at the Hostess. Boss invited us."
"That's nice," Mia said as she took a jar of herbs and smiled. "Iced apple tea?"
"Sure," Summoning my destruction grimoire, a.k.a. collection of all of my spells categorized as 'Destruction', I used a small amount of Telekinesis to flip through several pages until. Here it is! Ice spike.
Focusing on the spell, several hand-sized thumb-sized ice spikes floated in the air, and with a minor application of Telekinesis, they all floated towards the cup Mia had prepared for me and landed on it. Nice! Apple Iced tea, baby!
"No telekinesis with tea!" Mia snapped as she noticed my cup shake slightly. Honestly, this woman and her tea...
"Or what?" Suddenly, the temperature got colder and soon. "Fine," taking my favorite kind of tea and cooling it with a weak ice-element spell, I used telekinesis to take a book from a bookshelf and had it float in front of me as I read it. It was the story of Albert Waldstein.
"Oh? A one-eyed black dragon? I wonder if shouts can hurt it?" Well, while I can use the Thu'um (which was discovered when something got in my nose and made me sneeze,) I do still need to study and train with it to make it better. Well, in my spite, I did use the dragon-rend shout in anger when the dungeon decided to spam a lot of monsters at me.
I didn't know if it worked so I just Fus-Ro-Dah-ed it and I may have caused an accident. But don't worry. With a simple spell from the mod Phenderix's magical world, everything was fine. Well, since the dragon-rend shout was made with hatred of all Nords or something against the dragons I am trying to make it work in the dungeon but after consulting a magic pain glove (a.k.a. a long meditation) I decided to not do it. Besides, it's not like the dungeon is alive or something.
"Still writing some fairy tales from your hometown?" Mia's voice stopped me. Turning around, I saw the book, one of them, I wrote based on some stories from earth. Hey, I need the money and besides, no one from earth is gonna know.
"I do. Well, I am planning to release the book I wrote a week ago." It was just Persona 3 Rip-off, besides, it's just a hobby.
"Mia, Ren!" Nicola called out with a smile while dressed in his favorite winter jacket, which I enchanted to be easily worn even in a desert (not yet proven but so far, Nicola hasn't complained or shown signs of discomfort.)
"Well, you took your time, little knight," I said while doing a simple transmutation spell to turn my work clothes into a simple pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and a hoodie.
"Welcome! Oh, Ren!" Anya Fromel, my best friend... I have a feeling that I shouldn't tell Mia that
"Hey, Anya." Raising my hand, her smaller hand hit mine, causing a loud noise to erupt from the impact. Ow! "Nicola, Mia, and I here for the usual,"
"Nya! Coming right up!"
Ah, The Hostess of Fertility. The place where I used to eat all the time before Mia and Nicola arrived in my life. I got a pair of helpers and one can cook! Well, there goes Anya with our order. I hope she doesn't do anything Mama Mia would scold her for.
"Mia, Ren," Nicola's voice pulled me out of my thoughts. "I want to be an adventurer,"
The kid was determined, I'll give him that. well, this is gonna be interesting...
Yes, I put in the Karnstein siblings here. Why? I love their story and their reunion made me cry.
Teaser:
"Freya... this is a shop not a hotel."
"Now, now. This is Lumine, she is a new member of our Familia and she will be staying here starting from now on."
"... Why do you do this to me?"
"Rin, I need new rings. Rin?"
"Boo!"
"AAHHH! FUS!"
