The next morning

Sabrina watching Patrick as he sleeps next to her

Sabrina: (stroking his hair gently kissing his temple) "Rise and shine sleepy head...we have to get to court in a little while," he stirs and slowly opens his eyes.

Patrick: "Hmmmm," he moans..."can't I stay here all day with my beautiful wife!?"

Sabrina: "That would be nice," she kisses him..."but the judge makes his decision today."

Patrick: (Sits straight up excited) "That's right! He does!" He smiles and flips Sabrina on her back and begins to make love to her when...

Emma: "SABRINA!" She cries!

Sabrina: "Emma? Patrick, wait...I think I heard Emma..."

Emma: "SABRINA!"

Patrick: "Yea, you did," he jumps out of bed as does Sabrina to go check on their little girl.

Sabrina: "Emma, honey, shhhhh, it's okay," she rushes to her bed and hugs her.

Emma: "I had a bad dream," she cries.

Sabrina: "Yea?" She replies moving her hair out of the way..."do you remember it!?"

Emma shakes her head yes...

Emma: "I had a dream that that Judge took me away from you and that I couldn't see you ever again!" She hugs her as tight as she ever has not wanting to let go of her step-mommy.

Patrick: "Everything okay in here?" He says quietly

Sabrina: "Emma had a nightmare and thought that she would be taken away from me."

Patrick: "Oh, hey...come here sweetie!" Emma sits on his lap and closes her eyes on his chest, tears dropping on his shirt. Sabrina wipes them away.

Patrick: "You have nothing to worry about, you understand! It was just a nightmare. That judge will never ever take you away from me or Sabrina...I'm so sorry you got scared yesterday my love!" He kisses her forehead, holding back tears!

Emma: "Why did mommy go after Sabrina like that?! She scared me too!"

Sabrina: "Oh, baby!" She strokes her hair...."I'm okay...I'm right here, and nothing happened right...Your mommy was just upset that things weren't working in her favor...that's why she got angry with me. It is not your fault...you hear, she was scared that's all."

Emma: "Why?" She sniffles.

Patrick: "Because she will probably not get to see you for a long time after today."

Emma: "Why?"

Sabrina: "Listen"...she reaches out for her to sit with her..."when this is all over what do you say we all spend some time together, just the 5 of us! Hmmm? We can do whatever you want!" She smiles, trying to take Emma's mind off of the trial.

Patrick: "That's a great idea mommy!" He laughs, tickling Emma...."we can even have as much ice cream as you'd like..."

Emma: "Noah and Liam too?!" She smiles

Sabrina: "Well, they are a little to young for ice cream, but they can have a taste!"

Emma: "Yay! More for me!" She finally laughs!

Relieved, Patrick goes to check on the boys

Sabrina: "Now that you're feeling better, why don't we get dressed! You know who is coming over to stay with you today?"

Emma shakes her head no.

Sabrina: "Grandpa Noah!" She smiles.

Emma: "Really!?" She says with excitement

Sabrina: "Yep! Let's go and see if he's here!"

Sabrina picks up Emma and goes to the living room where Patrick and the boys are hanging out. The doorbell rings.

Emma: "I'll get it!" She jumps up and down.

Noah: "Well, there's my angel!" He smiles and picks her up! She gives him a big hug!

Emma: "Grandpa!" She smiles! "And who is this?" She asks seeing someone with him.

Noah: "This is Bobbie! She surprised me last night and came to stay with me," he smiles as he closes the door.

Bobbie: "Hi! This must be Emma," she smiles. "Nice to meet you. You are just as pretty as your pictures your Grandpa has at his house..."

Emma: "Thank you," she says with a smile.

Patrick gets up and says hello to Noah.

Noah: "Son, I'd like you to finally meet the one and only Barbara Jean Spencer!" He brags.

Patrick: "It's so nice to finally meet the infamous nurse!" He says giving her a hug. "I'm glad you were able to come out to visit Barbara."

Bobbie: "Oh, Patrick, please...Bobbie,"she shivers...

Noah: "And this here, is my beautiful daughter-in-law, Sabrina Drake!"

Sabrina: "So nice to meet you!" She says giving her a hug...

Bobbie: "I wanted to come and surprise Noah and also meet this other little precious boy and of course Emma! I've heard the best things about these beautiful children!"

Sabrina: "It's wonderful that you are here! Thank you so much!" She hugs Bobbie grateful for the extra support.

Sabrina hands Liam to Bobbie who is happy to spend time with Noah and his family.

Patrick: "Alright lovely wife of mine...we have to get to the court house!"

Sabrina: "Ok," she sighs...getting her bag.

Noah: "You've got this!" He winks!

Emma: "No! Don't go!" She clings to Sabrina.

Sabrina: "Emma, sweetie," she bends down to her level...."I know you're scared, but you know what...when Daddy and I get home, we should have very good news to share with you!" She smiles.

Emma: "What kind of news?"

Sabrina: "That I will be your real mommy from now on."

Emma: "Really?!" She smiles even bigger now.

Patrick: "Yes, babe...so the sooner you let go of Sabrina, the sooner we can come back and celebrate!"

Emma: "Alright alright," she says playfully. "Te Amo, Sabrina," she says and Sabrina gets teary eyed as does Patrick.

Sabrina: "I love you too angel," she kisses her head..."we'll be back before you know it!"

Patrick: "You kids be good for Grandpa and Bobbie you hear!"

Bobbie: "We'll be fine...good luck and let us know the minute the decision is in!" She hugs Patrick.

Patrick: "We will...see you all later! Shall we," he takes his wife's hand and they leave for the courthouse.

Courthouse

Bailiff: "All rise for the Honorable Judge Walters entering the court room."

Judge: "Be seated. Good morning...after yesterday's outlandish testimony in the custody trial of Miss Emma Grace Scorpio Drake I have reviewed all testimony and evidence brought before me by both parties and have come to a decision as to whether the child should be formally adopted by Mrs. Sabrina Drake and all rights of her biological mother, Dr. Robin Scorpio be revoked."

Everyone takes a deep breath

Judge: "In the best interest of the child, I have decided that Miss Emma Grace Scropio Drake will be best taken care of by her father and stepmother Dr. and Mrs. Patrick drake."Patrick and Sabrina both try to hide their smiles but find it hard not to. "I am also granting Mrs. Sabrina Drake legal parental rights as the child's adoptive mother and denying the petition of Dr. Robin Scorpio Drake of any contact with the child whatsoever."

Robin is in tears at the news that she will not be able to see her daughter.

Diane: "Your Honor, denying any contact with my client's child is harsh...can't we set up supervised visits?"

Judge: "My ruling is final, Ms. Miller. We will revisit this issue in a year from now to see how we have progressed in Dr. Scorpio's mental state. I am granting Mrs. Drake's request for Dr. Scorpio to undergo psychiatric evaluation and care and until I hear from her doctors that she has made significant progress, there will be no contact between her and the other charges against her have been dropped in accordance with Mrs. Drake's request. Patrick and Sabrina have become solemn in the judges decision about Robin's sentencing. Dr. & Mrs. Drake, your papers will be available to you by the end of the afternoon...we are adjourned." He bangs his gavel.

Alexis: "Congratulations!"

Sabrina: "Thank you so much Alexis!" She hugs her.

Alexis: "How is Emma this morning?" She asks concerned for her after the testimony the day before.

Patrick: (Putting his arm around Sabrina) "She's back to herself," he smiles..."she was afraid that she would be taken from Sabrina!"

Robin overhears the conversation

Robin: "She should be taken from Sabrina! Just like I was taken from her!" She cries. "How could you? How could you keep me from my little girl?"

Diane holds her back as the security comes to take her to Shady Brook.

Patrick: "Hold on guys, I need to talk to the patient first." They allow it.

Patrick: "Robin, this is what is best for my daughter. Sabrina loves her as if she were hers and now she is...She would do anything for Emma."

Robin: "Our daughter," she whispers.

Patrick: (Shakes his head) "You should be thanking my wife for dropping the charges against you. Get the help you need. I know it's hard, but she will be just fine and I will make sure you get pictures."

Robin: "Pictures? PICTURES? Really? You think that will make it all better? No, Patrick...We used to have something, where did it all go wrong?"

Patrick: "I wish I knew...he says quietly...tears forming..."I wish I knew!"

Robin: "Sabrina better take care of my little girl," she cries as she's taking out of the court room.

Sabrina: "I promise," she cries..."with everything I have," she falls into Patrick's arms devastated for Robin.

Anna: "Guys, easy, she's my daughter," she says to the men taking her daughter to the mental facility.

Robin stares blankly at her mother as she is taken out.

Anna holds back tears.

Patrick: "Anna, I'm so sorry," he hugs her, "I'm sorry you had to see that. I know that wasn't easy to watch and I'm sorry."

Anna: "Hey," she wipes tears from his face..."I love you! I love Sabrina," she smiles at Sabrina, whose face is soaked with tears. "I especially love my granddaughter. And I have to agree with the judge and Sabrina. My daughter needs help. Being held captive really did a number on her. I just hope she and you can come out of this after she gets the help she needs and all of you can get along at some point."

Patrick: "So do I."

Sabrina: "We should get home..."

Anna: "Please, give my angel a kiss for me. Tell her Grandma wants to take her for ice cream and have a girls day!"

Patrick: "That sounds great! Emma would love that! We'll set it up." He kisses Anna.

Everyone leaves and goes their separate ways.

Patrick and Sabrina are finished signing all the necessary papers for Emma's adoption by Sabrina and are headed home to tell them the good news!

Patrick: "We did it!" He kisses his wife before getting out of the car.

Sabrina: "Yea, we did"...she frowns...with tears...."but at Robin's expense."

Patrick: "I know that wasn't easy to go through...but I'm proud of you! And I'm proud that you are Emma's new mommy!" He smiles, wiping her tears kissing her gently.

Sabrina finally smiles.

Sabrina: "I do love the sound of that!" She smiles.

Patrick: "It does have a wonderful sound to it!" He winks. "Why don't we go and tell OUR daughter that she is now your daughter too! And no one can ever take her away from you, ever."

Sabrina: "EVER!" She says with happiness and kisses Patrick.
