Yukin and his friends have found themselves in deeper into the war with Promin Academy. When Yukin and his friends joined the Knights of Duel, they were set to fight against Promin Academy. They attempted to gather more allies in Nitro City, a city that was run by tyrants and the worst was Rojin. Thanks to the Knights of Duel, Nitro City is free. However, some of them were transported to the ruined city of Neon City, the first city that was attacked by Promin Academy.

Upon their arrival; Yukin, Sylvester, and Siegrain had a look around the place. The city was in ruins with buildings destroyed, no one around, and everything was practically saying despair. It was hard to look at.

"How awful this is..." Siegrain said. "Now I see what Drewsin and Shun were talking about. Look at this place."

"From what I heard, Promin Academy attacked without warning." Yukin said. "This city didn't have a chance, especially since dueling was never used for war."

"I can see why those two wanted to escape. I surely would want to leave this place." Sylvester said. "Out of all the places to end up, why couldn't it be a tropical resort?"

"I'll make sure you stay if you don't show some respect!" Siegrain said with annoyance. "It's not their fault that their home ended up getting wrecked. How do you think Drewsin and Shun feel about this? By the way, where are Drewsin and Shun?"

"They went to have a look around and see what changed since they've been gone. They wanted to see if any of their friends were still around." Yukin said, but he is worried about how those two are doing. He can only hope that they're holding up well enough.

...

Drewsin and Shun

Neither Drewsin or Shun were expecting to return home so soon. Neither of them wanted this. It was just too early, and the struggle against Promin Academy hasn't gotten any better. Everywhere they looked, they are reminded of what they lost. They didn't want to return home while things were still the way they are. Shun couldn't take it as he kicked a piece of debris and caused it to fall over.

"Why here?! Why did we have to be sent back here?!" Shun said. "The timing is all wrong. We weren't suppose to come back until Promin Academy was defeated and this nightmare would end."

"Calm down, Shun." Drewsin said.

"Don't tell me to calm down!" Shun shouted.

"I hate seeing it like this too, but there's not much we can do about that." Drewsin said. "Things might not have gone the way they wanted, but that doesn't mean what happened here won't end. It's why we have to fight for those who might still remain." Both of them didn't like how things turned out, but they're trying not to let what they're seeing get to them.

"Did you hear something?"

"It came from down there." The both of them heard people coming and duck down to hide. When they did, they saw a couple guys from Promin Academy walk by. Seeing them, Shun wanted to go down and take them down right then and there, but Drewsin stopped him from doing anything. As hard as it is seeing their place being run by Promin Academy, they can't let anger get the better of them.

...

Yukin's Group

"You think Promin Academy is still around here?" Sylvester questioned. "If they are, why would they stick around? Seems like they did a pretty good job of wrecking this city."

"Drewsin and Shun said they've been turning people into cards. They could be trying to capture whoever might be left." Yukin said. "They're probably using this place as a base camp and getting ready to spread more of their terror around, like how they tried to in Nitro City."

"I just don't get it." Siegrain said. "How could these people think they're on some mission for peace like Siri said? Can't they see how wrong and messed up this is?"

"I'm not sure. From what Soto told me, this Promin rules over with everyone with an iron fist." Yukin said. "They probably don't have much of a choice but to do what he says. Either way, we need to find some way to end this. I just hope that Renji and the others will be able to find us." The three of them kept on walking and saw more of what was happening. While they were walking, Yukin looked ahead and spotted a woman trying to get some water. "Excuse me!" He called to the woman. She turned to look at them, but she saw their duel disks.

"Oh no!" The woman said like she was terrified. When she saw that, she dropped everything she had and ran off.

"That was rude." Sylvester said. However, Yukin took a look at what the woman left behind. He saw can food and water, supplies that she and others probably needed.

"Not rude... More like scared." Yukin said as he could see what that was about. "Both of you give me a hand with this stuff." The three of them grabbed what they could and tried to find that woman who just ran off. They headed down the road until they found a house. They looked inside and saw two boys with her.

"I'm sorry kids. I just had to get out of there." The mother said. "Just try to hang in there for a little longer."

"But I'm hungry, Mom." One of the boys complained.

"Excuse me! We're coming in." Yukin said as he helped himself in and the three of them walked in. When the woman saw her, she was terrified.

"No! Please just leave us alone!" The mother said as she held bother of her children. "If you have to take one of us, please just spare my children!"

"You got the wrong idea. You left this stuff and we're just giving it back." Yukin said.

"Take whatever you want. Just please leave us alone!" The mother pleaded as her fear was clouding her judgement. Yukin could see what this was about as he dropped the supplies and grabbed his duel disk.

"Guys, drop your duel disks." Yukin told the others. "She thinks we're with Promin Academy." When Sylvester and Siegrain realized that, they did what he said. They all removed their duel disks and placed them on the ground. "See? We're not who you think." He tried to assure them, but they still seemed scared. "You boys hungry? There's plenty of food here." They were hungry, so the youngest was the brave one and went on ahead.

"Come back here!" The mother said, but he already reached the box and took one of the cans. He tried biting right through it to get to the food. Yukin reached out to him... "Leave him alone!" The mother was afraid of what might happen to her son, but Yukin took the can and opened it up for him.

"There you go." Yukin said as he gave him the food and he could eat. The mother was surprised to see that. "I assure you that we are not with those people." Once she saw they were friendly, she sat down and talked with them while her boys were eating.

"I'm sorry about before. It's just been terror here for so long. It's hard to trust strangers with a duel disk." The mother said.

"We know about what's going on here." Yukin said. "We're not with those people, but we do want to help stop them. A couple friends of ours are from here and we know what's been going on."

"I can't imagine what you and your family has gone through." Siegrain said.

"It was horrible." The mother said as she told them about what happened. "Those people just showed up without warning. Before, everyone just lived here peacefully. Dueling was just another activity we do around here. Everyone loved it, my oldest son even dreamed about being a pro duelist. That all changed when they showed up." She remembered the terror and horror that came from when Promin Academy attacked Neon City. It was a vicious attack as she and her children watch destruction and devastation. It was like being in a war zone and they watched many of their friends and others hurt and captured. "I never knew dueling could bring such destruction and havoc. We actually saw people turned into a cards. There are even some roaming around, trying to find every last person to turn into a card."

"That's horrible." Yukin said. "How long has this been going on?"

"Too long." The mother said.

"Do you at least know why this is happening in the first place? What did those people do with those who were turned into cards?" Yukin questioned.

"I don't know anything." The mother claimed. "Our lives were never the same. We're scared they're going to show up and take us away from each other. We're constantly living in terror. It's all because of dueling." She said that as she held much hatred for it. "I thought it was completely harmless, but now I see how wrong I was."

"No you don't." Yukin said as he disagreed with her on that. "It can be something wonderful. These people just saw the potential it had and turned into something harmful. I don't fully understand the situation, but I can tell you that this isn't what dueling is for. It's suppose to help form bonds, to be something amazing, not be used as a weapon for. That's what we're fighting for. We're trying to show those from Promin Academy what dueling is really about."

"That sounds nice, but you haven't seen what I've seen." The mother said. The terror and horror that she witnessed clearly scarred her, but Yukin can't let her think like that. She looked at her children since her oldest was the one who wanted to go pro.

"Hey, kids." Yukin said and got their attention. "What do you think about dueling? You wanted to be a professional duelist yourself, right?"

"If you want to be the best, I can certainly teach you how." Sylvester boasted.

"How to be the best fool, you mean." Siegrain said with annoyance.

"I always thought dueling was the best thing in the world." The oldest said.

"It still is. Don't let what happened here change that." Yukin said. "In fact, from what I've seen and heard, the people who have been attacking you have been misinformed about dueling. It can be just what you thought it was before all of this and you can still go pro."

"That's sweet of you to say, but it's not that easy." The mother said. "My husband is strongly against it. He even took my son's deck and burned it."

"He did what?!" Yukin said as he couldn't believe he would do that. Even the oldest son was still hurt by that. "Taking it away is one thing, but burning it?! A deck is a duelist's pride and joy."

"Even so, wouldn't it make more sense for him to hold on to it to try and defend himself?" Siegrain questioned.

"My son doesn't have much experience in dueling." The mother explained. "Besides, my husband is just afraid of what will happen to our son if they get involved in this. He thinks dueling is nothing but trouble and dangerous."

"That's exactly what it is!" They all looked to the entrance and met with the husband. He was a big and muscular guy that easily looked intimidating when he's angry, and he is right now. "Who are these people? What are they doing here?"

"It's okay, dear. They were just helping me out earlier." The mother claimed. "They just gave us some food and water." That didn't get him to settle down as he saw their duel disks.

"Well, now that they dropped it off, they can leave!" The father said as he practically ordered them to get out.

"Relax. We're not with the people who have been attacking you. We're just here to help." Siegrain said.

"I don't care who you are. Duelists aren't allowed here." The father said. "You kind brings nothing but trouble. Now get out!" This man clearly didn't like they were here just because they were duelists.

"We probably should get going. We need to find Drewsin and Shun." Yukin said. "Try your best to be careful out there, but dueling isn't what you think." He said as he and the others left the place.

"Your friends have probably been turned into cards already." The father said just to upset them. After that, they left the family alone and were on their way.

"That guy has a lot of nerve to talk to me the way he did." Sylvester complained.

"You can't really blame them. They've all been through a lot and are trying to survive." Yukin claimed. "We can only hope that we can change their minds soon." What the people that live here have been through must have been unimaginable. Dueling has been ruined for them and now they're just trying to survive. It also seems like they are giving up on hope. It's no wonder they would have negative thoughts on dueling. Just as the three of them kept walking, they heard an explosion go off and saw three duelists from Promin Academy knocked to the ground. Just as they saw that, they also turned them turned into cards as well.

"What was that?!" Siegrain said. The three of them hurried over to see what happened.

"What happened to them?" Yukin questioned.

"They were given a taste of their own medicine." The three of them looked and were met with someone. He wore black boots with white pants, a black jacket that went down to his knees in the back and had a collar to it. He also had black spikey hair with a serious look on his face.

"Who are you?" Yukin questioned.

"I'm the guy that's going to turn you all into cards." The guy claimed. Whoever this duelist is, he mean business. He's clearly against Promin Academy, but it looks like he decided to take matters into his own hands against them.
