"Come on Doc. You wanted the Sandevistan, right?"

"Aye, but you are asking for too much kid."

"Are you kidding? You said the Eddies from this thing-"

"Yeah. From a normal market but I'm in the black market. You can try to sell that but every corpo and gangsta in Night City will kill you before you can even make a pitch."

In the not so sunny parts of Night City, people are doing what they do every day. Some are walking around, maybe planning to waste someone but one person is walking with purpose in a back alley. This is David Martinez, a kid that had a single mother take care of him and he tried to do the same. But now she is gone, killed by street gangs and the hospital she worked at refusing to treat her because she wasn't a priority client. Now, what is he supposed to do? Go back to school where those rich pricks can insult him and his dead mother because she worked to get him enroll?

"Screw that. I'm going to make them pay. Called me and mom trash? I don't care whose son you are, you are dead Katsuo." David mutters to himself, pissed just thinking of that bully. Although he needs to deal with the glitches he has been seeing since his mother's death. Maybe damage from the car crash? Gunshots ring out and he barely dodges a cyber-wolf crashing into him. It runs away as some Maelstroms chase the little guy.

"Shoot that prey!" One of them shoots while shouting at the wolf. But he keeps dodging. David looks around and sees the barrel of a gun and the six eyes of a Maelstrom. He barely curses his luck when that cyber-wolf chomps it's fang on the deranged gangster. The machine freak tries to rip the wolf off his hand and another is about to shoot him. Without even thinking, David transforms. His body shifts.

"Is that a fucking car!?"

An armored car replaces the walking meatsac the Maelstrom was about to shoot. The sides of the car opens and laser rifles pop out and fire. One of the Maelstrom falls with a hole in her body while the others run away. He transform back and kneels next to the dead gangster. The cyber-wolf goes for the neck and drops the dead scumbag from it's teeth.

David stares at the cyber-wolf and pets the little guy. The mechanical bark cheers him up. A little but it is there. The cyber-wolf walks away. A popup shows up.

"What the hell? I can become a wolf? This is some awesome Chrome." David sees the chance to be a wolf and he takes it. However, another popup appears.

He already declines and feels his insides shifting to adjust to his new upgrade. "I don't care. Being a car and exotic is awesome."

David Martinez keeps walking while ignoring more glitches appearing in his view. He'll deal with it once the bullies are dealt with.

"Tch!"

"How about a trade? You give me the Sandevistan and I'll chrome you with this bad boy."

"A Transformation Cog? I thought those was discontinued."

"Got it from a dead one before that business shut down. There is even a vehicle saved in. You interested?"

Arasaka Academy, home to future Corpo scumbags. David enters his classroom, wearing his mother's jacket instead of the school uniform.

"David Martinez, your tardiness will be put on your record."

The machine's scolding is ignored as he walks to the bully that beat him up and mocked his mother's death, Katsuo Tanaka. He simply chuckles at David's attire and proceeds to mock him still.

"Look at the little trash. Did you put mommy's ashes in the dirt where it belongs?"

The glitches proceed to block David's vision but it doesn't matter. He now has his scent. Sounds of cogs twisting and turning and screaming classmates is heard around the room.

"David turned into a wolf! Run!"

"He's got Tanaka!"

"AAHH! LET GO!"

"Call MaxTac!"

"Cyberpsycho!"

"So this is it?"

"Aye, you are now a walking car."

"Thanks Doc. Enjoy the Sandevistan."

"Oh I will. There are a lot of clients that would pay anything for this."

"Should I have told him about Triple-Changers? Naw."

David woke up to nothing but pain. He wonders what happen. Why is he laying outside his school, where it looks like something crash into it? Why are 3 MaxTac operatives aiming their guns at him? Who killed all these people surrounding them?

"Cyberpsycho has been neutralized."

"Excellent work Melissa. Beginning bagging."

"Bagging? What happen?" David mutters, trying to speak through the bullets in his lungs.

Melissa kneels next to David and whispers in his ear. "David Martinez, my name is Melissa Rory and you are my new partner. Welcome to MaxTac. We are going to run this city down red. For their safety, of course."

Transformation Cog

A cyberware that allows people to scan vehicles and even animals to transform into them. The cog will shift a person's body to become the alt mode they have scanned and perform the same tasks like driving and flying. As well as shooting if guns are installed to the vehicle. The Cog has been discontinued as of 1999. Links to Cyberpsychosis have made the distributers unwilling to sell them and close business. Any remaining Transformation Cogs are to be destroyed. However many Nomad Nations have members with Cogs, as an inheritance, and there are rumors that Arasaka and NUSA have created their own Cogs.

Warning: Do not scan two vehicles. Delete one of them before transforming. Failure to do so will result in a high percentage of Cyberpsychosis. Triple-Changers are highly likely to become Cyberpsychos.
