Chapter 25

The doors to elevator opened to reveal what remained of the clone troopers ordered to guard the main floor. The four clone troopers left were clearly on edge as they had their blasters, trained on the droids standing in front of them.

"At ease boys these, clankers are on our side," Pyro told them.

The clones relaxed a little, but kept their blasters at the ready. Emotion observed the troopers before his head did a quick switch to blue.

"There are only four here, please tell me that's how many you spared to watch this floor," Emotion pleaded to Pyro.

Pyro did a quick head count and then searched the room quickly before saying. "There should be five down here. We only had ten troopers to work after the others were given different tasks,"

Emotion let out a melodramatic cry.

"Sixteen" He cried "Sixteen Republic soldiers left. How do you except us to direct an assault on the hive with only thirty-two men total?"

Pyro wasn't exactly sure what Emotion was going on about, thirty-two was a decent attack force, the fact that they were trapped inside a base; there wasn't exactly enough room for an entire army to be able to move and fight in without someone being caught in the crossfire. Thirty-two should do just fine.

"Snap out of it, Emotion, we have a mission to complete remember. The sooner we get those supplies the sooner I can start to build those bombs and the sooner we can destroy this base," Pyro told him, heading for the door.

Emotion's head quickly switched back to happy.

"Quite right, you two shall accompany us" Emotion said pointing at two magnaguards. "The rest of you are to stay behind and guard this room,"

The two magnaguards stepped away from the group of droids and followed Emotion through the door, while the other two magnagaurds and the five super battle droids and five battle droids moved into positions to guard the room.

Pyro and the others walked down the hallway to the north hanger in complete silence. Pyro kept his blaster at the ready while Emotion kept a hand on his zap cannon, the two MagnaGuards kept a hand on their electrostaffs.

When they finally exited the hallway an entered the much wider area of the north hanger, Pyro let out a breath of relief. He didn't know much about these xenomorphs but he was glad he didn't have to fight one in the tight space of the hallway.

Unlike the south hanger, the north hanger showed no signs that a battle had taken place. Most of the droid fighters in the hanger were still in prime condition and the supplies needed to fuel the fighters or repair them remained in their place instead of scattered across the hanger. At the far end of the hanger, in front of the sealed hanger door, was the Republic gunship. Its side doors were wide open, revealing the weapons crates inside.

Pyro ran for the gunship while Emotion and the droids followed behind, surveying every inch of the hanger to make sure the close was clear.

Pyro reached the gunship and was about to open one of the crates when he noticed the blood. He stepped inside the gunship to get a better look and saw that the blood trailed from the crate to the cockpit. Blaster at the ready, Pyro moved cautiously to the cockpit to find both of the pilots dead in their seats. One was slumped over the control console for the ship while the other one was seated as if he had died there. As the clone sergeant examined the bodies more closely he noticed a hole in the cockpits window, but what really caught his attention was the fact that the first pilot, the one slumped over the console, had more blood on his armor then the other. In fact the blood trail stopped at that's pilot seat.

"Something's not right here," Pyro said to himself.

He was about to call for captain Emotion so that he can have a look at it as well, but the captain called from him first.

"Sergeant Pyro, you may want to come and have a look at this," The droid captain called.

Pyro left the cockpit and head towards Emotion position. The emotional droid was looking inside a rather large crate next to some fuel. The MagnaGuards stood at its sides, electrostaffs at the ready.

"What is it?" Pyro asked when he joined them.

Emotion stepped away from the crate, his head on sad, and gestured for the clone to look inside. Pyro reluctantly moved to look inside to find the bodies of Pitch and Black lying inside. Their normally black armor was stained with each other's blood. The claw marks that cut through the armor and the holes in each head showed how the two shadow troopers had died. Pyro looked away from the bodies and tried not vomit.

"The marks show that they were killed by a xenomorph" Emotion told him. "How they ended up here however suggests someone put them there,"

Pyro straightened up at that comment.

"What do you mean someone put them there?" He asked

"I doubt the two were cowering inside this crate," Emotion told him, as his head switched back to yellow.

"Someone put them there," Pyro stated.

"Unless the dead can move on their own now, yes, someone put them here," Emotion said.

Pyro grabbed Emotion by the shoulders and pulled him in close so they could look each other in the eye.

"You said your xenomorphs killed them. Why would animals try to hide the bodies?" Pyro asked.

Before Emotion could answer there was a loud shriek from above. Both Pyro and Emotion looked up to see a strange creature drop from the ceiling. Emotion and Pyro pushed off each other as the creature landed in between them before pouncing on to Pyro.

Pyro looked up to face a creature that was half organic, half machine, but all that more terrifying. The creature opened its two jaws raveling another set of mouths inside both of its mouths. Both of the inner mouths were about to launch forward when a voice that called out "wait!" stopped the creature. The inner mouths slid back into their homes as the jaws of the cyborg creature closed.

"This creature is a threat to your safety, captain, it must be eliminated," The cyborg said, without opening either of its mouths.

"No. He is an ally, due to the current situation I had to side with the enemy, the Republic. We share a common enemy, something that could destroy both of us, the xenomorphs," Emotion told the cyborg.

The cyborg thought about it before saying. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend,"

"Yes exactly!" Emotion said, excitingly. "The xenomorphs and the Republic are our enemies, yet the xenomorphs are also the Republics enemies, however the xenomorph is the more dangerous enemy, so we have to join forces to destroy the greater threat,"

The cybrog slowly got off of the pinned clone and stepped back before offering its cybernetic hand to him. Pyro reluctantly took the hand and was pulled quickly to his feet by the cybrog.

"I apologies for the misunderstanding, I was unaware of the alliance," the cyborg said, bowing its head in shame.

"Um, that's alright I uh, understand" Pyro told the cyborg. "Care to explain, Emotion?"

Emotion moved to stand next to the cyborg.

"Allow me to introduce Xenomorph 2.0 1, the first and only of the Xenomorph 2.0 line. My plan was to turn the xenomorphs into 2.0 units so that I could control them. Sadly I only got as far as to making the one before XQ planned the prison break," Emotion explained.

"And he's completely on your side?" Pyro asked, never taking his eyes of the creature.

"In theory yes, the obedience program enhances the signal of the control chip. The control chip then begins to take complete control of the hosts mind, giving it control over both of the organic half and the mechanical half. The obedience program also gives me complete control of the subject so if the control chip somehow loses control, I'll be able to shut down the subject until I can install a second control chip," Emotion explained.

Pyro just nodded his head, pretending to understand everything, Emotion just told him.

"What I don't understand is how you are online X-2.0 1, when I last saw you; you had entered a sleep state so you can recover. What are you doing here?" Emotion asked.

"I was reactivated when the alarms went off. My first thought was to help with the containment of the escaped xenomorphs, but I received a message from the computer that said I was to protect you. I came across to the main building by the same way the xenomorphs did. However you were already gone by the time I reached the coordinates of your last know location. The xenomorphs then began to chase after me and drove me here. I was sure they would attempt to exterminate me, but they retreated. I remained here so that I could rest before attempting to find you" X-2.0 1 explained. "I awoke when I heard the hanger doors open. I waited until only four clone troopers remained before I eliminated them. I did my best to hide the bodies before the other two arrived. They were more of a threat then others so I eliminated them as well before hiding the bodies, so that no one would know what had happened here,"

"Incredible! With you on our side we should be able to infiltrate the hive without much problem," Emotion said happily.

Pyro rolled his eyes and headed back to the gunship to gather the supplies he needed.

"How big of an explosion are you wanting, Emotion?" Pyro asked, as he searched through the crates.

Emotion thought about it before saying. "Well big enough to completely destroy a room about this size would be nice,"

"Well then we'll take a couple of these then," Pyro said, pulling something from the crate.

Emotions light seemed to brighten when he saw what the clone had pulled from the crate. In his hand was a cylindrical device that was small enough to fit inside a brief case.

"Is that a MM-40 thermal charge?" Emotion asked.

Pyro nodded.

"How in this galaxy did you get one of those? After all these things haven't been used since the Madalorian Wars." Emotion stated.

"I've got some connections on Mandalore that hooked me up with a couple of these. They may be small but these things can destroy a fortified building if needed," Pyro explained.

"They should do nicely then. Grab whatever else you need and as many of those MM-40 thermal charges you have and let's get back to the others," Emotion ordered.

Pyro turned back to the crate and began to gather the supplies he needed before putting them in a backpack he found on the floor of the gunship. As Pyro gathered the supplies he needed, Emotion and the other kept a watch for any xenomorphs. Luckily the xenomorphs decided not to attack the group during their mission and once Pyro had packed his pack as full as he could the group left the hanger and began the trek back to the main floor.

As they got closer to the main floor they heard the distinct sound of blaster fire. The group picked up their pace to a dead sprint until they reached the main floor room.

When the door opened the group found themselves in a room of chaos. A clone trooper was being mauled by a xenomorph while two others tried to shoot it off, causing the clone be burned by the acidic blood of the xenomorph. The two MagnaGuards were battling with another xenomorph, trying to slow it down by hitting its legs and arms so that the super battle droids could get a clean shot at it. While this was a going on a third xenomorph was dragging an unconscious clone to a hole in the wall. X-2.0 1 headed for the third xenomorph while Emotion followed behind.

The third xenomorph managed to spot the two machines heading for it and impaled the clone it was dragging with its tail before turning to run. It left the now dead clone and ran through hole in wall. X-2.0 1 was about to give chase when Emotion halted him.

"Don't worry about her; we can't afford to be separated now that it's almost time to begin the final assault," Emotion told the cyborg.

X-2.0 1 nodded in understanding and stood up. The two clone troopers quickly moved to their injured brother to find him dead, his armor and flesh melted by the acid blood of the xenomorph that was attacking him. The super battle droids shot the dead xenomorph near them one last time to make sure it was dead before going back into guard mode. Emotion surveyed the room quickly to find that three of the five battle droids were destroyed and that two clones were dead as well. Even though the losses were small Emotion knew that every solider they lost their chances of success dwindled.

The door to the elevator opened to reveal Captain Rex and the others. They exited the elevator with their weapons at the ready and quickly span out into the room. After the all clear came from each and every clone that had arrived they lowered their weapons and relaxed just a little.

"We came as soon as we could. What happened here?" Rex asked, to no one in particular.

"They came out of nowhere, sir. We were standing on guard waiting for the others to get back when suddenly one of them came out of the ceiling and killed a battle droid then the other two came out of the walls. One pounced on Lucky and the guards and the supers were too distracted with the other one to help. I'm not sure what the third one did, but my guess is that it killed the other two battle droids before trying to run off with Shooter," A Clone answered, the panic could be heard in his voice.

Rex cursed and looked at Pyro before his eyes shifted to Emotion before falling on to the cyborg xenomorph standing next to him. Rex decided to ignore the cyborg for now and approached Pyro.

"Did you get everything you need?" Rex asked the demolitions man.

"Yes, sir, I just have to hook up the timers and add a few things that'll make the explosion bigger. Once that's done we'll be good to go," Pyro answered, taking off his backpack.

"Good, work fast, I'm not sure how much time we are going to have before those things come back," Rex ordered him.

Pyro nodded and quickly began work on assembling the explosives the way he needed them, while Rex headed over to Emotion.

"Why did they attack? Why now? Why just the men here?" Rex asked.

Emotion shrugged his shoulders. "It's possible they were just testing our defenses. Seeing just how much of a fight we'll put up. It's also possible that they wanted to weaken our numbers some, but if they really wanted to do that they would have sent more than three,"

Rex shook his head.

"A damn fine mess you got us into here, Emotion" Rex said, clearly furious. "How many more of my men, my brothers need to die by the hands of your damn experiments before you're satisfied? How many times do I have to clean up after you before you realize you can't control nature?"

"Ideally until all organic life is destroyed and the droids can rule the galaxy" Emotion said, emotionlessly. "But alas, that dream is nothing more than a dream. The hopes and dreams of a dying madman,"

Rex gave the droid a puzzled look.

"What are you going on about, now?" Rex asked.

"My father, my creator, he was very much like you, captain. Born into a life he didn't chose for himself, but headstrong and kind with a dream of creating a better galaxy. In order to accomplish his dream he spent what remained of his life creating droids to better the galaxy. He was being used however and when he saw the never ending corruption of the galaxy and the evil that would never truly be vanquished, he turned his goal from creating a better galaxy for all to creating a better galaxy for droids" Emotion explained. "So he began work on a droid that could take on the shape of any creature, adapt to any environment so that it could live on any of the vast worlds that make up this galaxy, a droid that would know about fear, sadness, anger, happiness and the other emotions that make organics so unique, a droid that would be able to create the galaxy he always dreamed of…a droid that could restart the galaxy so that a new, better one could emerge,"

Rex thought about what the emotional droid had said before coming to the realization that the droid was talking about itself.

"My purpose in this galaxy was to fulfill my father's dream. It's what makes you and I so similar, captain. We were both created to full fill the dreams of our creators and to die trying to see them become a reality," Emotion continued.

Rex nodded his in response and slapped the droid captain on the back.

"All of that may be true, James, but they also gave us the choice to decide what to do until then and I've decided to stop these things at any cost, even if it means dying before this war comes to an end," Rex told him.

Emotion's yellow light brightened a little and the droid turned and hugged the clone captain.

"Thank you, Rex" Emotion said, as the hug broke. "Ever since things took a turn for the worse my faith in being able to handle this situation as dwindled by the second,"

"Don't mention it, you genocidal bucket of bolts," Rex said, lightly punchy Emotion in the shoulder.

Emotion let out a small laugh and rubbed the spot before saying. "Incompetent meatbag,"

The two let out a laugh. Despite being on opposite sides of the war and mortal enemies the two captains had a mutual respect for each other and, even though they would both deny it if asked, they would both be sad if the other died at anyone else's hands but theirs.

Rex put out his hand and said. "What do you say we get to work on coming up with a better plan, Emotion?"

Emotion shook the clones hand and nodded. "Agreed, time is of the essence,"

While the two captains came up with a plan of attack and as Pyro worked on modifying the explosives, the rest of the group remained on high alert, just in case the xenomorphs decided to launch another attack. X-2.0 1 stood in the center of the room, his cybernetic system scanning for motion or life signs in the walls, while the organic systems looked for the familiar smell of its species.

Floraroma found herself staring at the cyborg from time to time as it stood there in the center of the room, unmoving.

"Pretty terrifying isn't it?" Jester asked. "I remember the first time I saw one of Emotion's cybernetic monstrosities. I was so obsessed with taking it home, making it a weapon the Republic could use, that I let it kill my entire squad before I realized that if I wanted to live long enough to make sure the galaxy could smile, it had to die,"

The Jedi looked at the clone and asked. "Did you kill it?"

Jester nodded. "As I watched it kill my men, my brothers, I knew that it couldn't be controlled. It was a rampaging monster that couldn't stop, no matter how tired it was. So I put it out of its misery and came to the conclusion that no matter how effective of a weapon it might have been, taking the free will from a creature by making it half droid was wrong. I couldn't bear to watch something like that happen to anyone or anything else again, so I made a vow to make sure it never happened to anyone else again. That's why Rex asked me to come on this mission, he knows I'm unstable, that I could be a threat to the mission but he also knows that I can't stand to see Emotion turn people into mindless machines, and if that was the case that I would be able to become the squads greatest weapon,"

Floraroma nodded in understanding. "Even though you can't see it, that creature standing there in the center of the room is confused and in great pain. I feel it in Force, its pain, its misery and its confusion. It's almost too great for me to handle, but after being in this base for such a long time, I've gotten use to that feeling,"

"Yeah it's a real shame, almost makes you want to put the poor thing down now, so that it doesn't have to suffer anymore," Jester commented, his finger moving to the trigger of his blaster.

"The truly sad part is that it doesn't even know its suffering" The Jedi said quietly. "The best that we can do for it now is pray that it will find peace after this ordeal,"

Rex and Emotion sat around the 3D projection of the base before them that Emotion had brought up. The projection was marked with several red dots, green dots and exes that signified important locations.

Rex rubbed his chin, even though he didn't want to risk getting "facehugged", as Emotion put it, the captain was able see clearly and think better with his helmet off.

"It's not going to be easy getting to her is it?" Rex asked.

Emotion nodded. "It'll be near impossible. She is the very life force of the hive. The drones and warriors will do everything in their power to prevent us from getting there. We can also guarantee that she will do everything to make sure we don't leave this base alive and that she and her kind can escape,"

"I don't get it. These things have been locked in here for six standard months and they haven't figured it out. If they are as smart as you say, Emotion, why haven't they gotten that far yet?"

Emotion shrugged his shoulders. "It's possible that since the failsafe resulted in both a complete lockdown and the termination of power they couldn't think of a way out,"

Rex shook his head again. "No, that can't be it, these things of acidic blood, they could melt a way out of here if they wanted yet here they are cooped up in that research building of yours like they are waiting for something,"

Emotion pondered this revelation too. "It's possible that they have chosen the building as their origin hive. Here they have a secure, hidden location where they can hide and come back to without anyone knowing where they came from and where they went, and the lockdown and the bases structure creates some added security, protecting the base from intruders and the elements,"

Rex nodded. "Why risk building a new home from scratch when you have everything you need here. It still begs the question though, why haven't any of the others left. It makes since to leave queen and the eggs here, but that doesn't mean one of those smaller ones could go out and grab a couple new hosts or something,"

"Hmm" Emotion said in thought. "Another theory is that they were waiting from some to discover and open the base so that they can have not only more hosts, but also a way out so that they can acquire more and eventually expand the hive,"

"Right" Rex said, with a nod. "So it has us as the potential host, which begs another question, are they going to let us get as far as to plant the bombs to give us a false sense of hope so that we leave and leave the door wide open for them to take Felucia or are they just going to kill us and figure the other part on their own?"

"In the early stages of their lives, the xenomorphs rely highly on hosts so that they can continue to grow. As they mature they become independent and only reply on hosts as means of reproducing and strengthening the hive. It's possible that the xenomorphs still need to rely on hosts even in adulthood, so that they can continue to evolve. Without us to open the doors or unknowingly transport an egg carrying a queen facehugger the xenomorphs wouldn't be able to expand the hive. They need us as more than just a means to multiply their numbers, but so that they can expand beyond their reach," Emotion stated.

"Great, so now we have to worry about stowaways before we can even leave," Rex said, agitated.

"We can take a droid dropship" Emotion suggested. "I've been developing a droid dropship very similar to your LAAT/i's. It has the ability to detach a section of itself as means of quickly deploying troops or supplies and still be able to fly to another area, land and deploy more troops or evacuate troops. It's still a work in progress, but there should be a working prototype in the south hanger. If the xenomorphs did try to plant an egg so that we can transport it they would most likely hide it on one of the transports you arrived in, it would be much safer to take my dropship,"

"That takes care of our escape, but what I'm concerned about is getting that far and who all is going to make it," Rex stated.

"The chances of us all making out of here alive are very, very, slim but as long as we are able to plant the bombs and see them go off the sacrifices will not be in vain," Emotion stated boldly.

Rex nodded and found himself reaching for the strange device given to him by Master Floraroma. As he touched the device he felt a little better, but was still uneasy. He unattached the device from his belt and handed it to Emotion.

"Any idea if this might be able to help us some?" Rex asked.

Emotion took the device and began to study it, running his hands over every inch of the device before opening it to examine it even more.

"Where did you find this?" Emotion asked, the awe could be heard in his voice as he studied the device.

"Master Floraroma gave it to me. She said it belonged to some Hunter Predator or something that killed her master and a bunch of Wookies on Kashyyyk," Rex answered.

"Yes, yes, I'm familiar with the legend of the Hunter Predator. A strange off world predator that could disappear in an instant, and was known for killing only the most worthy of prey before taking their skulls as trophies and leaving the skinned carcasses of the prey hanging from the treetops, almost as if to prove to everyone that he was the greatest hunter" Emotion told Rex. "I just never thought of it has more than just a legend,"

"So is it some kind of weapon or just a useless artifact?" Rex probed.

"I'm unsure. This langue doesn't exist in our galaxy, and it's possible that there is another galaxy that contains a planet that is able to support intelligent life, well intelligent enough to discover intergalactic space travel" Emotion explained. "It's quite possible that this device is a weapon of some sort, but without further time to study it I won't be able to tell for sure,"

"Hate to break it to you, Emotion, but you won't get that time" Pyro said as he joined them. "The bombs are ready, and I'm itching to see something exploded,"

"Good work, Pyro," Rex said, patting the sergeant on the back. "Tell everyone to group up and then we'll explain the plan,"

Pyro did as told and after awhile everyone was situated to where they could see and hear both captains and see the holographic projection of the base.

"Alright here's the plan" Rex started. "We'll divide into two groups. Team One will be lead by Captain Emotion and will take the first bomb down, secure the area and place the bomb on the reactor. Once the first bomb is in place, Team Two, lead by me will join them with the second bomb before we begin our assault on the hive,"

"The reason behind the two teams is so that we don't risk losing everyone at once" Emotion continued. "As long as we are able to set the explosive on the reactor off we'll be able to destroy the main base which in turn will result in the destruction of the hive and the weapons factory,"

"The only reason we are bothering with getting as second bomb to the hive is so that we make sure that the queen and the eggs are destroyed" Rex continued. "If the Force-forsaken thing somehow manages to survive that, the resulting chain explosion should finish her off,"

"The journey to the hive will be extremely dangerous. The xenomorphs will be waiting for us and the darkness is their main ally" Emotion warned. "When they do attack there is bound to be a lot of confusion and panic so I beg you all to take your military training and programming into consideration here and to only shot when you are positive you have a target. Otherwise we could end up killing each other down there,"

"Emotions, got a point" Rex continued. "It's going to be scary down there and a lot of us are going to die on our way to send the queen and her young back to Chaos, but we can minimize our deaths by shooting in short controlled bursts and not throwing any thermal detonators. Although the tunnel is pretty large, it's still an enclosed space and the explosions could either collapse the tunnel or kill more than just the xenos,"

"The xenomorphs are protected by a thick exoskeleton so it'll take more than one shot to kill them, if you can try to disable them by shooting their legs or hands. They will still be able to move and fight some, but a disabled xenomorph is less lethal and easier to kill," Emotion explained. "They are close combat fighters so try to keep your distance, but if you find yourself engaging one in close quarters, don't cut them. From what I can tell the xenomorphs have a unique defense system that either makes their blood acidic or gives them a protective layer of acidic blood. Whatever the case the acid will eat through your armor and flesh if you engage it with a vibroblade,"

"Right I think that should take care of the safety tips. Now it's time to separate into teams. Each team will consist of fourteen members seeing as how there are only twenty-eight of us left. Emotion and his droids will go down first and secure the area before we go down" Rex told everyone. "So until we get the all clear let's sit tight and keep our eyes peeled, the xenos might try another attack on us before we leave,"

Emotion and his team of thirteen droids loaded the elevator with a bomb, while the clones and Jedi watched, keeping an ever present guard up.

Rex approached the elevator and said to Emotion. "Stick to the plan, make sure none of the xenomorphs are down there and then call us down,"

Emotion nodded and said. "Right, sweep the area, get the bomb into position and then call for back up,"

"Good, May the Force be with you and stay frosty," Rex told him, steeping back from the elevator.

"The same to you, Captain Rex," Emotion told him as the door closed.

The elevator descended into the bowls of the base as Emotion and his droids waited in silence. When the door opened to the floor X-2.0 1 was the first to leave, rushing out on all fours. The MagnaGuards followed after, their electrostaffs at the ready before Emotion and the others followed.

The rector room of the base was still much in the same condition that Emotion had left it. The only difference was that some of the lights on the ceiling appeared to be broken and there was a strange metallic black organic substance covering the walls towards the entrance to the tunnel. The super battle droids and the battle droids moved cautiously through the room scanning the walls and the ceiling for any activity, while Emotion and Identity headed for the base of the reactor with the bomb.

"The area appears to be secure," X-2.0 1 told Emotion.

The cyborg xenomorph crawled down the side of the reactor and joined Emotion and Identity at the base of the reactor.

"Good, set up a perimeter and tell the others to keep an eye on the entrance to the tunnel," Emotion ordered it.

The cyborg leapt back on to the reactor without a word and began to set up the perimeter while Emotion attached the bomb to it.

"Captain, what is that black stuff on the walls?" Identity asked, his back to the captain so he could keep a watchful eye behind them.

"I'm unsure. My best guess it that its some kind of substance that was secreted by the xenomorph to make the area more suitable for them as they converted the area into their hive," Emotion explained, as he carefully attached the bomb to the reactor.

"But aren't the blast doors at the entrance to the tunnel and the research building closed?" Identity asked

"Yes they are" Emotion answered. "The lock down closed both blast doors. It's possible that the xenomorphs not only converted most of the research building into a hive, but the tunnel as well. The reason for the substance around the blast door here could simply be a way to mark another entrance to the hive or to show that the hive continues behind the door,"

Once Emotion was sure the bomb wouldn't move and was hidden from plain sight he moved to examine the blast door. The strange substance covered only the sides of the door along with a small portion of its top. Emotion moved to the wall next to the door and found the control panel for the door hidden behind some of the mysterious substance. He quickly removed the substance in front of the panel and was pleased to find that the panel wasn't damaged. He then flipped open his wrist panel and contacted Captain Rex.

"Area secure and the bomb is in place, you are good to come and join us captain Rex," Emotion told him.

"Copy that, Emotion, we're on our way," Rex said back.

Emotion closed the panel and headed to the elevator to wait for captain Rex and the others.
