Leaf: I don't like to admit, but you guys are a great duo. Eventhough you both have a very different battle-style, you sure know how to kick some Pokemon ass.
Green: It's only because Red and I know what we expect from our Pokemon.
Leaf: I wish I could represent Kanto the way you do. Red being the respective Kanto Champion, and you being the former Champion and recent Viridian City Gym leader and Prof. Oak's aide. But I'm just .. running along. Like a third wheel.. What have I ever accomplished?
Green: You are a great trainer, and even if you didn't become the Champion, nor gotten some legacy from doing something unforgettable, you were the one that helped Marowak's spirit step into the light, and you also managed to get rid of those annoying Snorlax. You won twice in the Bug-Catching competition. Oh, and as we speak - you are Bill's aide. You - for one - helped him discover there are more then 5 Eeveelutions!
Leaf: [Sighs, sits down on a tree log, cups chin with her hands] Still, I'm nothing compared to you guys. I'm just some ordinairy trainer. Like Lyra..
Lyra: Hey, you happen to forget I'm the Johto Champion. I almost defeated Red !
Leaf: Oh for crying out loud! Even she has much more to her than I do!
Green: Hmm.. [Sits down next to Leaf] You don't have to be a legend for being able to be proud of yourself. I for one lost the title of Kanto Champion, it was a hard chunck to swallow, but I got over it. I gave it my best, and got qualified to become the Viridian Gym Leader since Giovanni disappeard. I even lost to Red, multiple times. I also felt like a failure, more than I felt like a succes, but look at me now. I'm not giving up, I keep the fire burning. And you should too !
Leaf: But I'll never be even close to being as cool as you .. or Red.
Red: .. I'm not cool. People think I am, but I'm just some kid from Pallet, trust me.
Leaf: [Sighs, lets head rest against Green's shoulder]
Lyra: Leaf .. If you might change that attitude towards other trainers and stopped focussing mainly on yourself, you might see that you are quite the amazing person. Besides, you're away from Kanto, and everything tied to it. This is Unova, and this region will hand you another chance to prove yourself as a Trainer, as well as a person.
Green: Lyra's right, Leaf. You have to get rid of your fears, focus on your strenghts, and abandon wishes. Your wishes never come true, but you can make them come near. So near you will be able to get a taste. But that's enough to keep that little fire burning.
Red: You need to do what you never thought you'd be capable of doing. You will be able to do it. I'm living proof.
Leaf: I really want to become a legend. I want to show the world I can be the best! Maybe I really shouldn't focus on my loss, but focus on my future. And Unova's handed me a new chance to continue learning to be a great trainer. And I will become the greatest trainer Unova has ever seen! And when I enter the Champions League, I will challenge both you and Red, and I will defeat both of you! [Jumps up, rises fists]
Green: That's the spirit. Now I have to tell you that defeating me will take alot of training, so you better get started. Jonah needs to be fully evolved to take on my team! [Smirks, but sends Leaf a playful wink as well]
Leaf: I will! C'mon Jonah! Let's find some weak Pokemon and beat the living shit out of them so you can toughen up and evolve into Dewott! [Runs off]
Red: [Pats Greens shoulder, smiles] You're actually a really nice guy.

Leaf: Hey Red! You've beaten the league! You are the ultimate trainer!
Red: .. Yet I lost from Lance..
Leaf: Hmm.. But I bet you will defeat him the next time!
Red: .. I will train harder.
Leaf: But you are the best trainer in Kanto.. You won't be able to train here..
Red: Correct. That's why I will go to Mount Silver.
Leaf: Mount Silver? Red .. It's dangerous up there.
Red: I must.
Leaf: I won't be able to change your mind.. But, will you please be careful?
Red: [Nods, flies off on his Pidgeot]
Leaf: [Watches as Red disappears into the horizon, sighs]

Red: [wakes up, sighs] Yet everyone sees me as the champion, I still lost against Lance

Green: Haha! Okay, truth!
Lyra: How old were you when you first kissed a girl?

Red: [Looks at Lyra and Green] I guess some of us are able to forget the past. Let go of their faillures. Yet I can't.

Green: If I remeber it correctly, I must have been 12 years old.
Lyra: Whoa! That's young.

Red: I even fear myself. Everybody accepts the feeling called 'love'. Or friendship for that matter.. I can't even let myself trust a human being anymore. Thus putting all my trust into my Pokemon..

Lyra: My turn!
Green: Do you have a crush on Gold?
Lyra: Had. I gave up on him the moment I realized he was too busy following his dreams to become the best Pokemon Trainer in Johto.
Green: I know how you feel. The same thing happened with me and Leaf..
Lyra: That's why I didn't want to travel with him and Silver. It's painful .. to see the one you love, without them answering that love.
Green: I understand. You're right.. Eventhough I told myself I'm over her, whenever we're together, my stomach still turns into a knot..

Red: [Turns head towards Leaf, who's petting Oshawott. Gets up and sits down next to her]
Leaf: [Looks at Red, smiles] I've picked some berries. Jonah likes them. Here.. [Hands Red a handful of berries] Give them to Tepig. He'll like them too!
Red: [Nods, puts berries in the pocket of his coat]
Leaf: I see we're starting to form cliques..
Red: ..? I can swear her voice holds some kind of pain .. or jealousy
Leaf: Lately Green and Lyra are spending a lot of time with each other. And so do we..
Red: Why's that a bad thing? Green is finally socializing with another girl, even if she is 14.. Maybe it isn't such a bad thing after all ..
Leaf: [starts playing with her socks] I can't help but feel that Green is pairing up with Lyra, because I hurt him by not returning his feelings. But .. I can't control what I feel ..
Red: I know what you mean, Leaf. I sure do ..
Leaf: [Smiles soflty, but still sadly] .. I know Green is a great guy. He's nice and caring, protective towards the ones he truly cares for .. But I can't tell myself to love him that way. It's as if .. The universe, a higher power is keeping me away from him .. Because somebody else is supposed to be with him.. We were not meant for each other.
Red: ..
Leaf: Yet .. I can't lose the feeling that I'm hurting him with every moment we spend together. I don't want that ..
Red: What is she getting at? She can't help not being in love with him. It's not her fault .. Not at all.
Leaf: I guess what I'm trying to say is .. It's better if I travel on my own. And I know you won't let me because you don't want me to get in trouble again, but I'm 16 years old, I can handle whatever life throws at me.. So, when the three of you wake up tomorrow-morning, I'll be on my way. And don't look for me. I will spare Green's feelings.. and my own.
Red: Her own feelings? .. Is it because she loves me? I can't imagine what it must be like to feel two different kinds of pain.. The pain of hurting a person you do not love, and the pain of loving a person that does not love you..

Leaf: [Hugs Red, presses her lips on his]
Red: .. [Kisses Leaf] My first kiss with a girl .. With tongue. So this is how it feels..
Leaf: [Caresses Red's cheek] I will miss you, Red. [Smiles]

Green: Lyra! Wake up! Leaf and Red are gone!
Lyra: Oh don't worry Green, maybe they're just out to train Oshawott.. or picking some berries for breakfast..
Green: No! Impossible, Red doesn't have breakfast. He never eats actually..
Lyra: [Yawns, rubs eyes] I don't know then.. Is it such a big deal?
Green: They are very dear to me! They can't just disappear without telling..
Lyra: Wherever they are, they can take care of themselves : they're one of Kanto's best trainers. Did you forget they do carry their original Pokemon team with them?
Green: Did they really leave me? Both of them? Does that mean .. Red loves Leaf after all?
