Green; So you chose Tepig, huh! Well I guess I'll let you have this one. I chose Snivy! Hey, before we both part and go our own way, what about a battle? I'm sure I'll smash you!

~~ after the battle.

Green; No way! I STILL LOOSE FROM YOU?! Impossible! You are the worst! I'm off!
Red: ...

Red, I gave you this chance to experience how things could've been. I showed you a future which will take place when you turn down all the given opportunities. I hope by doing so, you will realize how much the people around you care deeply for you. Cherish the little things, Red .. Never say no to happiness

Yet again Red woke up. His forehead damp from yet again one of the most strange dreams a person could ever have. He saw Tepig laying next to him on the bed, Green on the pattio, smoking a cigarette while feeding his Snivy some berries.

Who was that strange creature he saw in his dream? Was that a Pok mon, if so .. why was it able to talk? He rubbed through his ruby eyes, getting out of bed and walking towards the window. He glanced at Green, as he polished his Pok balls. He let Snivy out of its Pokeball often, but never let Scolipede out.. Maybe the Pokemon was just too damn big. As Red walked back towards his bed, he changed clothing, combed his hair and put his trademark red hat on. Covering his ruby eyes with a shade. He called out his Pikachu and made his way to the Pattio. Green turned his head, sending Red a warm, welcoming smile as he patted the chair next to him. Red silently took place next to his former rival, and put Pika in his lap.

'We'll reach Striaton City soon. I guess that's my chance to test my Pokemon. I'll challenge the gym leader and hopefully win my first Unova Badge,' Green said, patting Snivy's head, putting his Pok balls back in his bag. 'Are you sure you won't train Tepig a little? The little fella will have a hard time against a Gym leader without training, Red,' Red sighed, slumping in his chair. He had no desire to become a legend in Unova as well, but his spirited will kept him from not give in to Green's challenge. Green got up and called Snivy back to its Pok ball. 'Lets find some rookie trainers. Toughen up our Pokemon, what do you say, pal?'

Red grabbed Green's hand and nodded in agreement. As they said their goodbyes to Nurse Joy and left the PokeCenter to head to Striation City, they bumped into Leaf. She had a big smile on her face and jumped around. Red and Green both raised an eyebrow in confusion, walking towards the Kanto trainer. 'Hey, Leaf!' Green said, pulling the girl in for a hug. She gladly wrapped her arms around the Veridian Gym Leader, still smiling brightly. Red squatted down infront of Leaf's Oshawott and patted its head. 'Why so happy, Leaf?' Green asked, looking at the sparkles in Leaf's clear blue eyes. She picked up Jonah and spinned around. 'Jonah and I just earned our very first badge!'

Green gasped, both in surprise as in defeat. A girl? A girl beat him to earning the first badge? He let go of those feelings and forced a smile upon his face. Nodding proudly. 'Well done, Leaf!' Red got up and smiled as well. 'I knew you could do it. We told you, you are a tallented trainer,' The brunette nodded, hugging her Oshawott tightly. 'So I guess the both of you are here to challenge Cheren as well?' Green nodded. 'I wish you the best of luck. But keep in mind, he's a tough fella.. I hope you trained hard!' Said so, she ran off, waving towars the 2 young adults.

Green turned to Red, grabbing his Balls. 'You use Tepig, I'll use Snivy. Let's train, pal! Just like old times! You against me!' Red smiled, adjusting his hat.

'You sure are a born champion, Red.' Green shook Red's hand, admitting defeat. A first for him. Red thought so as well. But his victory was of short notice, as a piercing screech echoed through the woods. At that time, a black haired young man already made its way to the route. 'Excuse me? Did you hear that sound as well?' Red nodded. The man pushed his glasses higher onto his nosebridge. 'I thought so. I'm Cheren,' Green's jaw dropped. 'You're Cheren? The Striation City Gym Leader?' Cheren nodded. 'I thought you'd be much older.. You.. You're even younger than Red,' Cheren frowned, shaking his head. 'That's not important. We must find the source of that screech. Follow me!'

As the boys reached the woods, they found a Timbur being under attack by a Tranquill. Red clenched his fist. 'It's easy to pick on some one smaller than you, isn't it!' Green and Cheren looked at him in confusion, but nodded as they saw Red reach for his Pokeball. 'Tepig!'

Once defeated Cheren picked up the Pokemon. 'I'll bring this big guy to the PokeCenter. Well done, Red. I'm looking forward to our battle.'

Red's eyes dialated as he saw Tepig glow all of a sudden. Green crooked a big smile. 'Yeah! Red! Tepig is evolving!' Red watched as the little four legged Pig changed shape, and a stronger looking Pig, standing on its two hind legs. The Pokemon turned to his trainer and smiled. 'Pignite! Pig!' Green patted Red on the shoulder. 'Well done, pall,' Red narrowed his eyes, once more adjusting his hat. 'I'm gonna catch that one!' The Pokebal he threw at the Pokemon starting shaking, but it didn't last very long. Red picked the Pok ball out of the grass and let out his newly catched Pokemon.

'Hey, Timbur, right? Welcome to the team!' The Pokemon nodded happily, shaking paws with Pignite. Green nodded proudly. He knew Red couldn't resist his Champion blood from once more boiling.

'Dad! Look! This Pokemon followed me all the way home! Can I keep it?' Cyrus looked at his son as he entered his office with a Rufflet by his side. He smiled and asked his son to open a blue-colored chest on the top shelf. As Avalon did so, he saw 3 Pokeballs resting in the chest, looking at his father with big, shining eyes. Cyrus nodded, a approving smile on his lips as he ruffled Avalon's hair. The young child took the three Pokeballs and turned to the Rufflet, asking it if it wanted to be his friend and go on a journey with him. Cyrus sighed as he saw the Pokemon move its beak towards the empty Pokeball in Avalon's hand, indicating he accepted the offer to be owned. Crying, Avalon hugged the little bird Pokemon, looking at his father with a grateful face.

Avalon petted the Braviary that laid infront of him, sleeping soft and sound. The Pokemon has been in his possesion for at least 19 years, making this his oldest Pokemon owned. Eventhough he never really used it in battles until he returned from his journey through Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh. Yet the magnificent bird stayed loyal to its old time friend. It was his first Pokemon .. Avalon lowered his eyelids, trying to hold back the tears as he reminded how peaceful his father has become ever since he gave up on his vicious plans. He had to, the moment he heard he was about to be a father, he knew he had to focus on one thing, and one thing alone : his child. Avalon reminded his father as a great man, a man who tried to follow his dreams, yet lost but never regretted his past.

As Avalon walked home, returning to Unova after beating all Leagues and Gym Leaders, Braviary heard his owner's footsteps from miles away. It looked up, scanning its surroundings, opening its big wings to fly into the sky and float above the Unova region. Once its eyes caught a familiar face, it descended, letting out a happy cry. Avalon, now 16 years old, stopped in his tracks as a,, what he ought to be a wild Braviary, stood before him. But once he looked into the Pokemon's eyes, he recognized the bird. He dropped his bag and ran towards the bird, hugging it tightly. Braviary wrapped its big wings around its owner, crying out happily. Avalon couldn't help but let his tears flow. 'Good to see you back, old fella..'

Avalon shifted in his seat, making Braviary tilt its head, to take a look at what its owner was doing. Once he realized he was still safe and sound, it lowerd its head, proceeding sleeping. Avalon turned to face the big bird, a soft smile on his face. 'You're all I have left, from what used to be a perfect life..' he whispered softly, letting some of the tears escape the corners of his eyes. The Pokemon opened its eyes, looking at his broken owner, sitting up straight, crying out a horrific sound. Avalon walked towards his Pok mon, patting its head, smiling as the bird searched for reasurance his owner was okay. Nodding, Avalon smiled. 'It's alright. Don't you worry.. ' .. He smirked. 'You're getting too old for that,' Getting a snort in response from the bird.

Rufflet watched curiously as he saw his owner pack his bag. Running all over the place. He tilt its head, trying to figure out what the meaning of that bag was. Avalon yelled at his father as he heard the man shout something from downstairs. He ran out of his room, throwing his bag over his shoulder. Rufflet flew along, still wondering what was going on. it saw Cyrus hug Avalon tightly, opening the door as Avalon looked into the bright sunlight that lit up the hallway. Rufflet's cry echoed through the livingroom, making Avalon drop his bag and running towards the Pok mon. He petted its head and hugged it tightly, before once more picking up his bag and throwing it over his shoulder. 'Bye dad .. Bye Rufflet. Wish me luck,' He said happily before dashing out of the house, into the woods. Rufflet flew outside, trying to find it's owner, but lost the little boy out of sight. 'Ruff?' it sadly cried.

Braviary flew its owner back home, realizing the little boy he loved so much, had grown up to a young adult. He knew his owner would be a very succesful trainer, and with his return, Braviary hoped Avalon would take him with him on a journey, so they could concer together. But as they arrived at the house, he saw his owner, taking careful steps through out the house. Scanning his surroundings, realizing how empty the house was, now his father had died. He stood infront of a dressoir, picked up a picture of himself, his father and Rufflet. He was smiling, hugging Rufflet while his father had a proud, confident smile on his face. Avalond put down the picture, closing his eyes, crying silently. Braviary looked at its owner, letting out a soft cry, implying his master the wasn't alone. Not everyone had abandoned him. Avalon then ran upstairs, entering his room and throwing the door shut with a loud smack. Braviary softly cried, feeling bad for his owner.

Pokemon have feelings as well, they're certainly not as dumb as people think. And also ; not all villains have no heart. Avalon is a really nice guy, he just made the wrong decisions. Yeah .. I wanted to write at least ONE chapter that maybe .. made you cry! Or at least sniff and go AAAWWWWW !

I'm trying to make you feel bad for Avalon and Braviary okay?!
Braviary is almost 20 years old! Thats fucking old for a Pokemon mkay (not to mention Ninetales and shit which can get 1000 years old)
