INTERVIEW….
"Tonight, we will have one of the best in the business field and modelling field. Let us all welcome Tiger Lily or was known as Hikari Hanazono. Let us give her a round of applause." The emcee named Naru said. "Good evening miss Hikari." She said with a smile.
"Good evening too Naru-san." Hikari replied with a smile.
"Oh! You are with someone today. I heard you have just finished a pictorial session am I right?"
"Yes, you were. Actually, we have just 15 minutes break then we have this interview."
"Really? Do you think you have a very hectic schedule?"
"No, it is just the usual schedule." Hikari answered and then felt at tug at her dress which makes her attention shift to the little girl beside her. "Yes Miyuki?" She said.
"Ayie, sleepy." The little girl said. Miyuki suddenly closes her eyes and sleeps on Hikari's lap on the interview which makes Naru giggled for a bit not to make the little girl woke up.
They watch her as she was taken away by the staff members to let her be comfortable in the dressing room where her nanny was. The interview resumed.
"I am sorry for that inconvenience Naru-san." Hikari apologized and bowed as a sign of respect.
"No worries Hanazono – san."
"Call me Hikari. 'Hanazono-san' is too formal for me Naru-san."
"Hai."
Hikari just smiled.
"Let us go straight to the point Hikari-san. Many speculations are being stirred ever since the day you arrived at Japan. One of those is that you have a daughter and that is Miyuki. Is that true?" Naru asked non-stop.
Hikari just giggled a bit and then faced Naru with a very honest aura, "No, Miyuki is not my daughter, she is my brother's daughter."
"Brother's daughter? I thought you were the only heir of your company?"
"NO, I am not just the only heir. I and my brother are the heir of our company. He handles mostly of the international affairs and I handle the national. Hana, Miyuki's mother, is my brother, Satoshi's wife. They got married around a year ago privately in one of our hotels here in Japan. And after a few months, she bore Miyuki into the world."
"But, why is Miyuki mostly your feature?"
"That is for the reason that I and my brother do look alike, so for that reason, Miyuki got all of her looks from her father. Actually, I have here a picture of their family." Hikari searched in her iPad a family picture of three and showed it to Naru.
"BEAUTIFUL! You do really look like your brother Hikari-san and they are a very happy family I see." Naru complimented.
"Thank you very much for that." Hikari said.
"Another question, before we proceed to the next topic Hikari – san, where are Miyuki's parents?"
"Actually, they are arriving tonight. That is why, after this interview, we are going to go straight to the airport to welcome them. They came from Korea."
"Korea! I have heard many beautiful comments about that nation."
"Yes."
"Let us move on, shall we."
"Sure." Hikari answered.
"Our researcher has got information about your love life in your high school years. We are sorry for the intrusion of your private life miss."
"No it is ok."
"So, let proceed, and with that, we have found out that you have someone on your heart and still on your heart are we right?"
Hikari smiled and then answered, "Yes."
"Oh!" is the only thing that Naru answered and then makes the audience in the studio giggle.
"Could you give his name Hikari-san?"
"Hmm, let us just not give his name."
"Oh! Sure! Sure! Another question, do you still love him?"
Without hesitation, Hikari answered, "Yes."
"Do you want to marry him if you were asked by that person?"
Hikari smiled with a twinkle in her eyes and then answered, "Yes of course."
"But we have also an inside report that you are now engage, is that right miss?"
The sparkle in Hikari's eyes vanished but the smile remained. It not just any smile but a sad one. "Yes, I am now engage but there is no formal announcement yet. One of these days, I think it is on the 23rd my grandfather and the grandfather of my fiancé will announce it publicly."
"Oh! Is this a confirmation?"
"So it seems."
"There! Officially, Hikari Hanazono, the Tiger Lily of the business world is now eloping! So bachelor's out there who has plans for miss. You have already missed your chance." Naru said. "So Hikari-san, what is the engagement gift?"
Hikari think for a while and then raised her hands to let Naru see her bracelet. "I think it is this bracelet." Hikari said.
Naru seemed shocked by what she is seeing, "That is so beautiful don't you think Hikari-san?"
"Yes, my grandfather keeps on telling me not to loose it or else." Hikari giggled.
"Do you know from whom it was?"
"No, my grandfather did not tell me anything."
Naru was very shocked of what was happening, but just said, "Let us all hear it from your grandfather on the 23rd, right Hikari-san?"
"Or, you could expect me telling it from you Naru-san."
"That would be an honour Hikari-san."
Hikari just smiled.
"Any statements miss before we end our interview?"
"Yes." Hikari said and then faced the camera. "Years may count but there is only one man whom I will cherish and love until eternity. Please wait for me until then. Jeongmal Saranghamnida."
"I will conclude that it was for your love, am I right Hikari-san?"
"Yes. And I hope he will see this."
"I know it will. Ladies and gentlemen, let us give another warm applause for Miss Hikari Hanazono."
The crowd claps and cheered for me and then Naru talked, "See you next time for more updates and interviews! Bye for now!"
"Bye!" Hikari also answered.
That concluded the interview that was broadcasted. Every S.A members together with their fiancés watched the interview. Many were awestricken by what Hikari tell in the interview. Akira couldn't hide her tears so Tadashi hugged her. After that, they all turned their heads to Hikari who was sitting alone on a table for two at the center of the hall. Hikari was just holding on her tears for the sake of her friends.
Hikari stood up and looked at her watch to confirm what time is it. It is already 10 in the evening. After that, she moved to the center stage where a microphone was waiting. Then she faced her friends.
"Good evening everyone." Hikari started, "Today, even though our guest of honor wasn't here, is one of our precious and treasured person's birthday. Also, today will also be the mark of Hikari officially returning to Japan after all those years." Hikari couldn't hide her tears now. They were falling one by one as she speaks.
"Today a – also is the day that I – I am suppose to be telling everyone that I am engage." By what she said, everyone stirred from their seats. "Yes I am engage to a person I don't know. This" Hikari referring to the bracelet she is wearing, "is the proof that I am one." After that, a long silence followed.
Yahiro seemed thinking that is why Megumi asked him is anything wrong but he just answered, "I think I have seen that bracelet from somewhere but I could not remember it."
"Really?" Finn, Ryuu's fiancé, asked.
"Yes."
"Please, I am begging everyone, not to tell it yet to Kei. Please." Still her tears are falling. "But despite of the fail plan of mine, don't make your day ruin because of it. Everyone is free to use any room in the last floor of this hotel. It was really made for me and my guests. Thank you very much and have a nice day." After that, Hikari walked down from the stage and then went outside, before that, she faced Tadashi and said, "Can I stay 'there' for a while?"
Tadashi at first did not know what she is telling but after a few seconds he responded, "Just tell the guard you have my passes." He then smiled after that.
Hikari continued to walk and then continue to the parking lot and then started the engine of her car and drove to the place she called 'there.'
NORMAL POV
Everyone in the hall was left in a very silent manner. They were all thinking of what will do. They all thought that everything will be alright but it wasn't. Yahiro was the first to break the silence.
"I knew it! It was that bracelet!" He exclaimed.
"What bracelet?" Akira asked.
"Remember the painting in my grandmother's favourite room in England Akira?" he asked.
"Yes, what was with it?"
"You don't remember the painting?"
"It was the painting of your grandmother right?"
"Exactly! She is wearing the same bracelet as what Hikari is wearing right now!" He said.
"Could it be?" Sakura asked with sparkle in her eyes.
"Yes! They are engage!" Yahiro said.
"But how did you know it." Jun asked.
"It goes like this…" Yahiro said.
KEI'S POV
I thought grandfather will give me a time for myself since it is my birthday but it seems that he will let me work until I gave up. I look at the digital clock in my table. It was already 9:45 in the evening. To ease my tiredness, I stood up, sat at the sofa in my office and opened the television with his eyes closed.
"Years may count but there is only one man whom I will cherish and love until eternity. Please wait for me until then. Jeongmal Saranghamnida."
That was the phrase Kei heard after he opened the television. Automatically he opened his eyes only to see the most beautiful woman his eyes have laid into – Hikari Hanazono. The interview continued and he watched it until the end.
"I will conclude that it was for your love, am I right Hikari-san?"
"Yes. And I hope he will see this."
"I know it will. Ladies and gentlemen, let us give another warm applause for Miss Hikari Hanazono."
The crowd claps and cheered for Hikari and then the host talked, "See you next time for more updates and interviews! Bye for now!"
"Bye!" Hikari said.
He can't believe what he heard. Hikari loves him? Is it true? He is in his thoughts but then was disturbed by his brother.
"Yes. Ever since she left you onii-san." Sui said from Kei's back.
He was taken aback by what his brother said. He turned to him. He was about to talk but Sui continues on talking.
"Ever since the day she left you. She keeps on calling our home to take a chance to talk to you. Yes sometimes she gets a chance to hear your voice but she will not talk. She is scared that you are still angry. She did not any chance to say it to you. Today seems to be the day she is going to tell you how much she loves you. Did you not read the letter you received?" Sui said.
"The letter with the initials 'H.H.'?"
"Yes."
"I thought it was not her."
"You thought or you have just forgotten it?"
Kei did not answer for that is the truth. With all the work he is doing until this time. He forgot about that.
"She is at the greenhouse." Sui said.
"How did y-"
"President Karino called me a while ago."
"But – "
"This is your last chance to tell her what you feel the second time. Listen to what she will say also onii-san." Sui said while smiling.
"But you know already Sui that I am going to be attending an engagement party tomorrow isn't it?" Kei said.
"You will not know what will happen if you don't gamble. Right onii-san?"
Kei was contemplating for a while then stood up get his car keys and then ran towards the parking lot.
"Love really makes a person idiot for a while. Even though the brightest person could be in that club." Sui said and then went home.
NORMAL POV
This day is a very long day for Hikari. She is now in the greenhouse at Hakakusenkan. She entered it and walked slowly. Memories from the past one by one appeared on her mind. By that, Kei keeps on appearing. She can't help her eyes once more. They keep on falling. She walks to Kei's seat when they were still in the S.A and then touches it then slowly sat down in it. The moonlight lit the greenhouse.
She keeps on reminiscing the past and then uttered, "Can I turn back time?"
"You can't turn it back but you can still make new memories." A person talks from the door of the greenhouse.
Hikari was startled then stood up. She looks at it only to find one person whom her heart shouts, "Kei." She said lovingly.
"Hikari." Kei responded.
They look at each other for a minute then Kei slowly moves towards her. Hikari coud not contain what she is feeling right now. She ran towards him and hugged him tightly. She is still crying. They hold on each other arms and then they let go.
"I miss you." First phrase Hikari tell Kei.
Kei smiled and then kissed Hikari's forehead. "Me too. Me too." Kei said.
They spend the night together without talking much. Their hearts just talk to each other. They are watching the moon from the greenhouse when they talk in unison.
"I have something to tell." They said together.
"You go on first." For the second time they talk in unison, they just giggled and then Kei said. "You go first."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
Hikari seemed uneasy but it was for them, "Uhmm, Kei, uhmm, I – I…."
"You?"
"I – I love you." Hikari said.
"You do?" Kei asked happily.
"Always." Hikari answered with a smile. Kei kissed him and then answered, "I also love you."
By what Hikari hears, she can't have the courage to tell him about the most important thing in the time being – her being engage; same as through with Kei's part. They kissed again longer this time.
"Could you wait for me Hikari?" Kei asked.
"Why?"
"I just want to make sure." Kei said embarrassingly.
By that, Hikari smiled and giggled, "Of course, I am willing to wait for you, even how many years it will take." She said.
"If I ask you to marriage right this instant, what will you answer?"
Hikari was shocked by the question. The only thing she could answer is that "Why the sudden question? Of course, I will marry you." By what she said, guilt and hurt came to her rejoicing heart. She remembered her grandfather. "But there are things I need to settle first. Can you also wait for me?"
"As much as you are willing to wait for me Hikari. I will also wait."
The two smiled at each other and then kissed. Hikari was the first to broke the kiss and then look at her watch.
"11:59! I still have time!" Hikari exclaimed.
"Time to what?" Kei asked.
Hikari ran through her bag to get her gift for Kei. When she reached it, she gave it to kei and then said ,"HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEI!" with a smile on her face.
Kei was overwhelmed by what he heard. Although he have already heard of her say that this morning, it was very refreshing for him to hear her say it one more time.
"You did not forget." Kei said.
"Of course. All those years, I have celebrated it by myself. I bought gifts every year too. It is in my house. I will give it to you one of these days." Hikari said smiling.
"Thank you."
"Open it."
Kei obligely opened the gift revealing a plain necklace. But there is a ring. Two rings to be precise in the necklace. Kei could not believe his eyes. She looks at Hikari then, Hikari get the necklace and put it on Kei's neck.
"This will be my symbolization of love. Always remember that I will always love you no matter what ok?" Hikari said as she touches the rings in the necklace.
"Wait for me Kei." Hikari said.
"I will. Don't worry."
"I love you."
"I love you too."
After that, they stay for a couple of hours and then drove to the nearest sea to watch the sunrise. Everything happen for a reason and this day will be a hectic one. They hold hands as they watch the sun rising as if they were afraid that something will break them apart.
THIRD PERSON'S POV
"Is this alright?" the person on the line asked.
"Yes. It is for their own sake." The person calling said an then put down the phone call.
"Today is the day, Hikari." Hikari's grandfather said.
