The room went silent after Twilight and Fluttershy's interaction. Everypony just watched, stunned. Fluttershy just stared into Twilight's eyes, her thoughts were unknown. Seconds passed like hours in the silence. Twilight stood still, but the tip of her tail twitched with anticipation. She watched Fluttershy with intensive terror. What if Fluttershy was about to flip out and never be her friend again? What if Fluttershy started making fun of her? It all remained quiet til one book just fell off a shelf somewhere. With that Twilight broke and teleported away. She couldn't take the silence and pressure behind the silence. Pinkie blinked twice. "Well that was unexpected".
~Deep in the Everfree Forest~
Twilight stood there in silence. She lost it. She lost Fluttershy. Twilight kept hitting her head with a rock, because she was under the belief that she had insulted Fluttershy. "Why did I do that?!" Twilight asked herself, "I should've known that would happen". Twilight just kept dissing herself and hitting her head with that rock. Eventually she just collapsed onto her belly in tears. Thoughts just kept hitting Twilight's mind. "What did I do wrong?" She asked herself. "What will Fluttershy say when she sees me?". "What will everyone else say when they see me again?". "They'll discriminate. They will hate. They will disapprove". Twilight held her head and cried even more with her negative thoughts. She decided that she isn't going back to Ponyville anytime soon. Not after what she did.
~At the Library~
Fluttershy remained still as a statue. She could hear a pounding sound nearby. It continued and it was going so fast. *bump-bump, bump-bump*. Everypony just stared blankly at her. Pinkie however, waved a hoof in front of Fluttershy's face.
"Hello? Anypony in there?" Pinkie asked. Fluttershy shook her head and snapped out of the trance she was in. She looked at Pinkie then backed away slowly and hid in a dark corner. Fluttershy continued to listen to her heartbeat. It was as if it was going faster than five Sonic Rainbooms combined. She breathed slowly and thought.
'What just happened?'. Fluttershy felt her lips, they were slightly damp from her recent time with Twilight. Fluttershy then let a tear fall as she recalled Twilight revealing her feelings. Fluttershy went quiet and didn't reply to Twilight. "She must feel so terrible now" Fluttershy cried, "I have to find her!". With that the pegasus darted off to Spike. "Spike! Where would Twilight go if she got depressed?" Fluttershy almost yelled at Spike. She was holding him up and shaking him.
"Calm down Fluttershy!" Spike weased out as he was shaken vigorously. Fluttershy put him down and backed up two steps.
"Sorry..." Fluttershy whispered.
"It's ok, now tell me, why are you looking for Twilight? Did something happen?" Spike asked.
"Well, she kinda came out of the closet during the party and got the wrong idea when everyone didn't say anything" Rainbow Dash said as she walked in.
"Oh? I didn't know Twilight swung that way" Spike said.
"Jus' bout everypony does now" Applejack said beside Rainbow.
"Hmm, so she teleported? Or did she run?" Spike asked.
"Well, a book fell and she disappeared the instant it hit the ground" Fluttershy said.
"That is no good" Spike said "She could be anywhere! For all we know she could be halfway across Equestria!"
"We can still find her! What about Celestia? She will know where Twilight is, won't she?" Pinkie cheered and asked.
"Ah betcha she would know where Twilight went" Applejack said.
"Ok guys, let me send a letter" Spike said. With that he quickly jotted down something on a letter and sent it off with a flame. A reply came very quickly. Spike read the reply and shook his head.
"Nope, Celestia cannot find Twilight. All that can be done is if Twilight sleeps anytime soon then Luna would be able to contact her through her dream, but still not locate her" Spike said.
"Tell her to come here!" Fluttershy yelled at Spike. Everyone turned to Fluttershy.
"Wow, what gave you the power to yell? I didn't know you could yell" Rainbow snickered.
"Fluttershy? Do you like somepony? Enough to finally yell for them?" Pinkie asked. Fluttershy just blushed darkly and hid behind her mane. The cute reaction made everypony and Spike laugh. Spike jotted down a second letter and sent it off. A reply came seconds later. Spike read it over quickly and smiled.
"Luna will be arriving in a few hours" he said. Fluttershy smiled quite visibly upon hearing that help was coming for her friend. Everypony looked at her and laughed though, for they thought it had expanded to something more than friendship between her and Twilight.
"So Flutters, what do you think of Twilight?" Rainbow asked bluntly.
"Um, well, she is cute, and smart..." Fluttershy managed to say.
"Darling you need to speak up if you want any of us to hear you" Rarity said. Fluttershy just backed into a corner and hid behind her mane again. Rainbow just laughed.
"Its ok Flutters, I mean look at Apples and I, we get along quite well. Its ok to be attracted to mares" Rainbow Dash said.
"I think Twilight needs to hear that Rainbow" Fluttershy said.
"Agreed" Spike said. After that the friends chatted as they waited for Luna. Only an hour passed until the Night Princess arrived.
"So what has happened to Twilight?" Luna asked.
"She kissed Fluttershy then fled" Rainbow answered.
"Well, she actually freaked after everypony stared at 'er and she teleported" Applejack corrected.
"Hmm, I can't feel her dream presence right now, so she is awake" Luna said.
"You can do that?! I wish I could do that!" Rainbow complained.
"Maybe if you ever claim the role of Night Princess then you could watch ponies' dreams, but until then, that power is mine" Luna said.
"If she is awake then we have to split up and look for her" Fluttershy said.
"You just don't wanna give up on finding your crush slash marefriend do you?" Rainbow teased. Fluttershy just blushed and bopped Rainbow on the head. Everypony laughed but agreed with Fluttershy.
"Ok, who's going with who?" Luna asked.
"I'll go with Apples" Rainbow said with a smile.
"I will go with Fluttershy" Rarity said.
"No. I am going alone" Fluttershy said. That caused everypony to look at her. "What? I just want to go alone" Fluttershy said.
"Very well, I will go with Pinkie" Rarity said.
"Yay, we're gonna have so much fun like OMC, we're gonna search every house and alley, then under every rock, then we will use cupcakes to..." Pinkie started.
"We get the idea darling" Rarity said.
"Very well, let's get going" Fluttershy said.
"Wow, when did assertive Fluttershy come out?" Rainbow asked. That earned her a slap upside the head. With that they split and went off in separate directions to find Twilight.
~Ponyville Alleyway~
Pinkie slithered around the alley looking in every corner. She made her way to every shadow and found only dust. Rarity however grew quite uncomfortable as she watched her friend move around on the ground.
"Pinkie darling could you please walk?" Rarity asked.
"But this is so much fun" Pinkie countered.
"Pinkie Pie, you are getting dirt all over yourself, you'll be sick before the hour is over" Rarity said. As she said it Pinkie disappeared. "Pinkie where did you go?". Pinkie's head raised a trash can lid as she slowly peeked out of it.
"Nope not in here" she giggled. Rarity almost barfed. "Pinkie, why don't I just alter my stone detect spell and try detecting life? That would be so much more effective... and cleaner" Rarity suggested.
"Maybe for the next place, I already know Twilight isn't around here?" Pinkie said. Rarity looked astonished.
"We've only been here for a few minutes, how do you know that she isn't somewhere around that corner?" Rarity asked.
"Well, while you were complaining about the dirt I actually was able to check everywhere" Pinkie said.
"Fine, we'll just check this off the list and move on to another area" Rarity huffed.
~Sweet Apple Acres~
Applejack and Rainbow Dash walked deep into orchard. They looked left and right. Rainbow didn't seem on task though. Applejack trotted up to a tree and looked up. Nothing. All she saw was apples, leaves, and branches. She frowned slightly. Rainbow searched from the sky, looking down at all the trees and fields. She too saw nothing. Eventually she decided that Twilight wasn't here so she looked at Applejack. Rainbow chuckled as she admired Applejack's well built body. Work pays well, and in Rainbow's mind it paid Applejack nicely by giving her those well defined muscles, and that firm rear that Rainbow just loved to watch. Applejack noticed Rainbow's lack of work. She sighed as she herself decided that Twilight wasn't here. She sat down and looked at Rainbow. She winked at the pegasus and smiled. Rainbow blushed at Applejack's actions. However, her wings suddenly grew stiff and out.
"Crap!" Rainbow Dash said as she got wing boners. She start spiraling down with her lack of control. Applejack saw this and laughed, but then ran over and caught Rainbow.
"Haven't Ah told ya not ta be lookin at me like that while yer flyin?" Applejack asked.
"Huh? I don't know what you're talking about, I wasn't looking at you..." Rainbow lied.
"Oh yes ya were. That's how ya got these" Applejack said. To prove her point she slowly caressed one of Rainbow's stiff wings. Rainbow almost melted at the touch and she hugged Applejack tightly.
"Ok maybe I was lookin at you, its hard to help the urge cuz you are such a hot pony" Rainbow said. Applejack blushed. "Ah feel burnin now though cuz Ah got yer hot body against mine" Applejack replied. Rainbow laughed. The two walked deeper into the field and enjoyed each other's company. They would regroup later with the others and hope they had success.
~Everfree Forest~
Fluttershy walked slowly and checked all around. She knew that Twilight would've gone somewhere to avoid everypony. Nopony in their sane mind went to Everfree Forest. Fluttershy walked further and found Zecora's hut. Maybe Twilight went in there. Fluttershy walked up to the door and knocked a few times. Zecora answered the door with a smile.
"Zecora, have you seen Twilight?" Fluttershy asked.
"Your friend has not been here, however you have my eyes and ear" Zecora replied.
"Thanks Zecora" Fluttershy said.
"I bid you welcome, and good luck on your problem" Zecora said. Fluttershy smiled then walked away. Not in Zecora's hut. Fluttershy thought for a moment. Maybe Twilight was in the old castle. That place was really deep into Everfree. Fluttershy nodded and made her way through the forest. She looked left and right, checking at every corner and squealing at every shadow. After what seemed like hours, Fluttershy had made it to the ruined castle. She looked around but didn't find anything. She was just met by an eerie silence that just didn't seem right. Fluttershy thought for a moment. If Twilight came here then she would go to the castle library. So Fluttershy made her way to the wall that was the library. It originally had four walls, but three collapsed. All that was left was just a wall, and a desk with a few pens in it. Fluttershy sighed. Twilight obviously wasn't here either. So Fluttershy started walking home when she saw a strange path leading from the library. Fluttershy walked over to the path, it looked like somepony had been using it for a while. She followed downhill and found the other three walls of the library. They were all crumbled of course but they were still there. That wasn't what caught Fluttershy's attention though. Fluttershy's ears perked up when she heard what sounded like crying. She followed the sound and found a lavender unicorn, that had a bunch of rocks around her. She looked like she had gone to hell and back. It was Twilight Sparkle.
