Chapter 7:

Sonic's POV:

"Thank you all for coming. I appreciate you all volunteered to help." I said to everyone.

"Well of course we will help! We're talking about Amy! She's our friend and we would never leave her in danger like this!" Rouge said.

"Yeah!" Everyone said at the same time, agreeing with Rouge.

Everyone was here: Tails, Cream, Knuckles, Rouge, Shadow, The Babylon Team, The Chaotix Team, and even Blaze and Silver traveled to this dimension to find Amy. I nodded to all of them, thanking them for volunteering.

"Enough of the talk! Let's look for Amy!" Knuckles said getting impatient.

"The question is: Where could Amy possibly be? We can't just look for any random place and expect she will be there." Blaze said.

"Well, is not like we have a magic mirror to tell us where is she." Knuckles said sarcastically. "We don't have a choice, we have to look every single place until we find her."

"What if we think the places Amy would go? Maybe that could get us closer to her." Shadow said.

"That's not a bad idea." Tails said.

"Sonic, think about the places she would go/ or like to go. Do you have any ideas?" Shadow said.

"Well, for starters: She likes to go to malls, she likes going to beaches, walking to parks, romantic places, fairs, circus... She basically likes going anywhere." I said.

"Ugh... That doesn't make things easier.." Silver said

"Alright, this is what we should do." Tails said pulling out a hollographic map of this city Mobius. "We should all split up to different places. Babylon Team will search at the center of Mobius. Chaotix Team, will search to every single park Mobius has. Rouge, Knuckles, Blaze, and Silver will search for the fairs and circus. Sonic, Shadow, and me will search for the beaches. Any questions?"

"Yes. Don't we need something that can keep us in contact in case something happens?" Wave said.

"I was getting into that." Tails said smirking. Then he pulled out of his pocket 9 walkie-talkies and gave it to everyone. "If you ever find Amy, you will use this to tell everyone and then we will all meet here when we find her. Any other questions?"

Everyone stayed quiet for a while. But then Cream stood up and said: "Wait Tails, what about me? What am I supposed to do?" Cream said confused.

Tails sighed and said: "I decided is best if you stay with Vanilla. I know you might be a little upset, but you're just not in the condition to do this." Tails said now looking at her tummy.

Cream opened her mouth, but couldn't say anything. Now she lowered her head, and said: "I.. guess you're right.. I'm sorry I can't do nothing to help her.." Cream said sounding so disappointed.

Rouge patted her shoulder and said: "Hey, don't worry! Besides, Vanilla would need your help taking care of those little brats of mine." Rouge said laughing at what she said.

Cream smiled now and nodded. Everyone walked outside to start searching. Cream walked to Tails and said: "If you find Amy please tell me."

"I will."

"Good luck."

Tails kissed goodbye to Cream and then she left to her house. I was about to go outside, but then I felt someone touch my shoulder. I turned around and saw Blaze looking concerned at me.

"I heard what happened with Amy.. And I'm really sorry about that.."

"It's okay.."

"Will she.. be alright when she remembers all of that?"

"I'm not even sure.. That's why we have to find her as quickly as we can.."

Blaze nodded and said: "I wish you the best luck."

"Thanks Blaze."

She walked out with Silver. Now I looked at Tails and Shadow and said:

"Alright, let's do this."

Amy's POV:

We suddenly appeared at a totally different place and I collapsed as soon as I touched the ground.

"Stand up. We have a lot to do." The chipmunk said.

"Can you at least tell me how did we even get here? And who are you?" I said while standing up.

"Do you not recognize this place?"

"...Of course not... I have never been here before.." I said confused.

"Are you sure about that?" She said now facing me.

"..Yeah..?"

"You are wrong."

"How am I wrong?"

She turned around, and slowly walked to a big window.

"Look around you Amy Rose. You have been here many times before." She said gazing at the big window.

I did what she said. I looked around me. The place was huge. It was a big room, but it was empty. And I still couldn't recognize any of this. The chipmunk noticed my frustration and said:

"Why don't you come and look at the window?" She said, her eyes glowing a bright red.

I walked to the big window. All I saw outside was darkness. There were little sparkles of light shining everywhere through the darkness. Is it night already?

"Is it night already?"

"No."

"But it's dark. It has to be night already."

She moved her head sideways and said:

"Look deeper Amy Rose."

I tried to look again. This time I saw something else. I saw a blue ball float around the darkness. But not just any blue ball. There was something about it that was calling my attention, but I couldn't tell what. Why does it look so familiar? Then at that moment, I realized that it was a planet. Planet Earth! Where I live! And if I'm not in there anymore, then that must mean... I widened my eyes, as random flashbacks were coming to me. I couldn't see them all clearly because they all disappeared quickly, but there was one thing I saw for sure: A blond girl with a black hedgehog at this same place. I collapsed again, now knowing fully well where am I.

"Good. Your memories are coming back now." She said.

"How do you even know that?" I said looking at her.

"That information is classified."

"You.. You took me to outer space!? Are you insane?!"

"Call me crazy, call me insane, I don't care. As long as you're not found by anyone, that is all I care."

"Take me back to the forest, now!"

"Why should I?" She said closing her eyes while crossing her arms.

"This place... This place makes my head hurt! I don't know why, but there is something in here that makes me feel uneasy!"

"Too bad for you. I can do nothing for that."

Now she is making me mad. I stood up, ran to her, and was about to punch her. However, she easily dodged it and slapped me so hard that I fell again.

"Don't even dare to fight me. You were the one who agreed to follow me. So now you must obey everything I say, and I will reveal all your memories."

"But you don't even know me." I said rubbing my red cheek.

"But I do. You just don't recognize me yet. And it is best that it stays like that."

"But I can't stay here. What if Sonic or anyone else gets worried?"

"What's this? Now you think they will worry for you? Ha! Don't make me laugh! I thought you said no one cared about you and now you think they do?" She said raising her eyebrows.

Now she laughed by herself while I just stared at her. When she finished, she said:

"Do I have to remind you everything now?"

She slowly walked toward me, as the sound of her high-heels echoed everywhere. When she stopped walking, she got out the same diamond that took us to this place.

"Is this... The.. The Chaos Emerald?" I said.

"Oh good! You're catching up! Now look closely to this."

I did what she said, and then I could see myself crying all alone. I saw many flashbacks of Sonic always refusing me, yelling at me, breaking my heart, and always ended crying. Just watching this made a single tear fall from my eyes.

"Do you still think he worries about you? I think not!" She said removing the Chaos Emerald.

"I'm sorry. You were right. All he ever does is hurt my heart." I said while more tears fell.

"It hurts, but that's how life is. And now you completed phase#1: Accept reality as it is."

I just looked at her. Am I doing the right thing? Can I trust this woman?

"But there's something I still don't understand: Why are you doing all of this?"

"You said you wanted to know who you are and that is what I shall do."

"But why do you want to help me?"

"Hmph. You better stop asking questions. I help you and that is it. You should be satisfied with that information. So don't make me lose my patience and smack you again."

Now I just stayed quiet and got a little intimidated.

"Now that you accept reality the way is supposed to be, you will most certain be ready for the second phase."

"What is the second phase?"

"That, I will tell you tomorrow. It is time for you to go rest. You must follow me now."

She walked to a door and punched some numbers. When she finished that, the door automatically opened. We walked to a big hall all the way to the end. But as I was walking, there was still something about this place that was bothering me. I didn't know what was it, but I just had a feeling that I had something to do with that. When we walked to the very end of the hall, she punched some numbers again and the door opened.

"From now on, this will be your room. You will only rest here for now."

I stepped inside and looked around this room. It was just like the hospital: everything was covered in white. However, why do I feel that I have been in this room before?

"Good night" The chipmunk said.

She was about to leave, but then I said:

"Wait! I still don't know your name."

She just crossed her arms and stayed like that for a minute. Was she thinking? It took a minute until she opened her red glowing eyes and said:

"Call me Alma."

And with that said, she walked away, and the door automatically closed. I wonder why she acts so weird. I walked to my new bed, layed down, and stared at the ceiling. Then I turned around, and saw something that called my attention. On top of a shelf, there was a picture of a blond girl and a black hedgehog smiling together. Just seeing them made my head hurt again. Who are they?Why every time I see them, my head hurts? Do I know them?I have no idea. But now that I see this picture, I feel... Sadness?For what? I don't even know them!But then I could feel a flashback coming to me.

Flashback:

The black hedgehog was now staring at the huge window.

"Shadow, don't give up! I know it must hurt to lose someone special, but look at us now! Look at Sonic! He's risking his life to save us, including you! Because we're your friends now! And we worry about you! So please... Please think about it and help Sonic. Besides, is this what Maria would want to see from you?"

Now he turned to see me.

"Amy, I... I don't know what to do anymore... I mean... Look at me, I'm a monster! I could've killed anyone if you didn't get in my way!"

"But you didn't. You can do it Shadow. I know you can. Because I believe in you."

"Amy..."

I smiled at him and said:

"You said you will do anything for Maria to smile again. If that's true, then do what she would want you to do."

Shadow looked at me for a minute. Then he smiled at me and said:

"Thank you Amy."

End of Flashback:

So that's his name: Shadow... I want to know more, but I can't. I wonder what was happening at that time. And I wonder who is Maria? Is it the blond girl? As I was trying to figure it out, I was starting to get sleepy. My eyes were slowly closing. But I tried to stay awake because I still wanted to know more. But my eyes felt so heavy, that I couldn't control them anymore, and I quickly fell asleep.

I walked to the big hall with my first-aid kit equipment. Sonic just fought against Dark Oak's Metarex army and got very injured! And knowing that makes me very worried! So it is my job to be his nurse and cure his injuries. I headed to the farthest room of the hall, where Sonic is resting right now. The door was locked with a code, but luckily remembered the code Tails gave me: "582572". The door automatically opened and as I walked in, I could see Sonic sleeping peacefully. But I got alarmed when I saw the all the injuries he got from the fight: one bloody scar located at the edge of his eyebrow, while the deepest ones were in his arms. I hurried to sit next to his bed and started to get the equipments out.I put a special cream that can cure all the scars. But I could also see his face was a little dirty of blood stains. So I picked a wet towel and gently rubbed his face so it can get clean. As I was doing that, Sonic groaned a little, and slowly opened his eyes to look at me.

"Amy?"

"Shh, don't worry about me, go back to sleep."

"What are you doing?"

"Taking care of you."

"I'm fine Amy, really"

"Have you even looked at yourself? You look horrible!"

Sonic looked at his own injuries and actually got surprised to see them. Did he never noticed all of those scars? He looked at them for awhile and then said:

"Nah, it's nothing. It's just a small scratch."

He tried to stand up, but he couldn't because his injuries were serious.

"Don't move!" I said now getting worried.

"But what about the Metarox Army? What if they're already stealing the Egg Planet?"

"It's going to be fine! Besides, you can't fight the way you are right now! You could die!"

Sonic just sighed and threw himself at the bed.

"You need to rest first. Then when you're cured, you can fight again."

He stayed quiet and closed his eyes as if he were going to drift into sleep again. I started to clean his face again with a new towel, but a few minutes later Sonic said:

"Ames?"

"Yeah?"

"Why you worry so much about me?" He said with his eyes still closed.

I stopped at whatever I was doing and now I stared at him.

"What kind of question is that? Because I care about you!"

"But why you care for me? Shouldn't you be mad after they way I treated you?"

"Well.. I.. I just can't stop loving you. Even if you are the greatest jerk I could ever meet, I just love you too much..."

"But why you even love me? What's so special about me?"

Now I'm at a loss of words. I had a thousand reasons to why I love him, but I don't even know where to start. I just stared down at the ground, not knowing what to say now. Meanwhile, Sonic was staring at me waiting for an answer.

"Since when you care about this stuff?" I said.

Sonic just shrugged and said:

"I just wanna know."

"You never care about this so why should I talk about it?" I said getting attitude.

When I said that, he looked surprised. I guess is because he never saw me acting so mean. The situation got awkward, and he remained silent. Is it me, or is he actually worrying about this stuff? I mean, he looks so deep in thought.. Could it be that... He is thinking about... Us? No.. I already know that's impossible, he would never even love a girl like me.. Anyway, I shouldn't be thinking about this. I shook my head, and started to put bandages on all the scars he had. When I finished that, I saved all the equipments back to where they belong, and stood up to leave the room. But as I was walking toward the door, I heard Sonic say:

"Ames?"

I stopped walking and said:

"Yes?"

".. Where are you going?"

"I'm going back to my room. Why?"

"Well, can't you stay with me for a little while?"

I turned around with my eyes widened.

"You.. want me to be with you?" I said surprised.

"I just don't wanna be by myself thats all! But if you don't want, that's totally fine.."

I really cannot process what's happening.. He wants me to be with him? This doesn't even sound like him at all! Is he alright or is he just sick? He's been acting so strange lately.. Anyway, I guess it wouldn't hurt to be with him, right? I put the first-aid box down and walked to the chair to sit down next to him.

"Are you really ok? I feel like you're sick." I said checking his temperature with my hand.

"Amy, I'm fine.."

Now we stayed quiet for a few minutes, not knowing what to even say.

"Amy, did I really hurt you that much?"

Now my heart pounded hard.

"What are you talking about now?"

"You know what I'm talking about.."

"Why do you really wanna talk about this?"

"Because now every time I think of that, I just feel bad for what I did to you. After all those years of running away from you, you are still with me, and I don't think anyone would ever do that for me.. I thought you would sooner or later get tired of me... But you never did. You were always there for me to help me, while I always just.. Made you feel bad.. Just thinking about that makes me feel guilty now.."

He paused for a long time while I kept staring at him, not knowing what to even say.

"Ames, I want to let the past behind. From now on, I will be nicer to you."

"..Really?" I said my hopes rising while my heart felt like it was going to explode.

Sonic nodded while I smiled a little. Could it be that he does care for me after all? In my heart, I was so happy that now I couldn't stop smiling at the thought of Sonic apologizing. Sonic noticed my smile and said:

"Does that really make you happy?"

Not I can feel my face getting heated, while I got nervous.

"I... I guess..." I said stuttering.

Why am I acting so awkward now? This is what I always wanted it to happen! I would always tell myself that if this ever happened, I would kiss him the way I always dreamed of. But now, I'm becoming so shy and won't even dare to do that. What's wrong with me now? I raise my head to see Sonic smiling at me and said:

"Are you... Getting red..?"

I widened my eyes and touched my face to see if he was right and he was! I could feel my face boiling hot. What is wrong with me?! I never act like this! And now I could hear Sonic laugh and said:

"Since when are you so shy?"

"Shut up! I'm not shy, it's just really hot right now!" I said trying to hide my embarassment.

Then we spent some time talking and laughing like there was no tomorrow. How I wished this moment would never end! But sadly, it was time for me to sleep.

"Well, I guess is time for me to go now." I said a little discontented.

"You have to leave?"

"Well, I have to rest for tomorrow's next planet."

"What if you sleep with me instead?"

He moved a little to the side of the bed to gove me some space.

"You... Want me to sleep with you?" I said not believing what he just asked me.

"If you want..."

I just smiled at him and walked to the bed. I slowly layed down on it and hugged Sonic.

"Goodnight Sonic." I said closing my eyes with my biggest smile.

"Goodnight Ames."

I open my eyes and find myself in the same room where that dream happened. Was that even a dream, or a memory? It has to be a dream! Sonic would never be so nice to me! But then again, it felt so real. What if I was wrong all along about Sonic? Did I exaggerate too much? Did I assume too much? I... I wanna see him now! I stood up and walked to the door locked with the code. And just like my dream; I typed "582972" and the door opened! So if this number worked, that means that wasn't a dream at all! That really did happen before! Now I walked to the familiar hall and went to the room I was yesterday. There I found Alma staring at the big window. When she heard the door open, her ears twitched and she quickly turned her head to look at me.

"How did you get out of your room?" She said.

"I remembered the code."

"Hmph. I guess that's good then."

Now it was the time to say what I dreamd of.

"Alma, I have to tell you something."

"Sav that for later. Right now we have a lot to do."

"Like what?"

"Follow me"

She walked toward the hall and I followed her. She took me to a different place where it was as big as the previous room, but the only difference is that is has a big glass in the middle of the room. This side where we are, there's machines with every type of buttons while the other side, is empty.

"This is where you will come here everyday to do your training." Alma said.

"Training for what, exactly? What's your point of doing all of this?"

"You must be ready for anything, especially for the unexpected. You must know how to fight in order to defend yourself. And from now on, you will be known as my apprentice: Almania De La Rose."

"But Alma I still don't get why you're doing all of this. Besides, I don't belong anywhere." I said lowering my head.

"Be quiet! No apprentice of mine should show herself weak toward me! All those foolish friends did nothing to help you and what do you do? Just spend all your life lamenting?"

"But..."

"Silence! I did not ask for your answer! If you're my apprentice, the first thing you shall know is to never talk agaisnt me."

"Yes ma'am!" I said.

"The second thing is, you shall always obey me whether you like it or not." She said staring at me with the most serious look I've ever seen while I stared at her back with intimidation.

"Is that clear, Almania?" Alma said now expecting an answer.

"Yes sir! I mean... Yes ma'am!" I said nervously trying to look good.

Alma then smirked and said:

"Good. Now you're ready for your second training."
