Her father told her that those nine months would go by fast and they did. She didn't think that she would've made it without her friends and family by her side. Ever since the funeral she's been trying to keep herself busy to take her mind off of things, she didn't want to stress herself with sadness so she decided to take her mind off of it with a little shopping. She found out that she was going to have a little boy and with the news she was on a mission to find the cutest outfits for her son. She smiled picturing him in little suits and hats and couldn't wait to hold him in her arms.

Caroline and Elena had done some shopping themselves to make sure that they had the fliest nephew in town. Bonnie was surprised about how much Damon helped out from time to time. He would offer to take her to appointments, he's been on multiple craving runs and was basically like her personal driver for most of the days. She really appreciated it and would thank him every time.

"That's my nephew in there; I need to know that he's alright." Was his excuse every time he would drop by.

Bonnie would just shake her head not knowing why he would just say that he wanted to help, but she appreciated it.

"So, do you want me in the room while you're pushin' him out?"

"Ew, no. If Stefan was here I probably wouldn't want him anywhere near down there."

"I don't think it would've mattered what you wanted, Stefan would've been in that room."

Bonnie chuckled, "Yeah, he would've broke down the damn door if he needed to."

Damon smiled and nodded knowing that it was true. His smile faded when he saw Bonnie twitch a little looking like she was in pain.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I think he's just kicking... What are you smiling at?"

"I'm just thinking that the little one agrees too."

Bonnie smiled and rubbed her belly. "I just want this bugger to come out."

As soon as Bonnie said that her eyes went wide and she sat up.

"What is it?"

"I think my water just broke."

"Okay, okay, don't panic. Stay calm, I'll take you to the hospital."

"Damon, I think you're the one who needs to calm down." Bonnie smiled.

"Right." Damon said and grabbed her hand helping her out the door.

She went with the epidural when the pain was just too much. She didn't know how mothers did this thing naturally, it hurt like hell, but she knew that it was all worth it in the end.

Stefan was all that she could think about and swore that she felt him in the room with her, his presence felt all too strong for her to ignore.

"Stefan?" Bonnie asked when she felt a hand placed on top if hers. "Oh, sorry, dad, I thought-"

"Its okay, baby." Rudy smiled even though he felt broken inside. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm good, I'm just in a little pain and I feel tired."

"It's only natural."

Bonnie winced in pain and clung onto the handle of the bed and cried out. Rudy called in the doctor and he noted that Bonnie was ready to push.

"One, two, three, push."

The more Bonnie pushed, the more she felt like she was going to die.

Seriously how did mothers do this?!

"I can see a head! Give me a big push."

Bonnie pushed with all she had and her head fell back on the pillow when small cries filled the air.

"It's a boy!"

Bonnie broke down and tears streamed down her face watching her baby getting cleaned off before being placed in her hands.

"God he looks just like Stefan."

"He does, doesn't he?" Rudy smiled. "Have you decided on a name?"

"I don't know. Honestly I haven thought much about it."

"It's fine, you can take your time." Rudy kissed her forehead. "I'll go tell the others the good news."

"Alright." Bonnie quickly looked up at her father before looking back at the cutie in her arms.

When everyone had a turn holding and kissing the little boy, Bonnie gave them the okay to leave if they wanted to get some rest. Rudy was passed out on the couch while Bonnie just stared at her son. She brought her baby to her lips and kissed his soft lips.

"He's beautiful." Bonnie smiled and looked up and her eyes swelled with tears.

"Stefan?"

Stefan walked over to the hospital bed and climbed on. Bonnie stared at him in wonder and when his green eyes met hers and she shuttered when his hand covered the side of her face.

"I'm so proud of you, baby."

Bonnie smiled and a tear rolled down her eye. Stefan wiped it away with the pad of his thumb and pressed a kiss to her lips.

"I miss you."

"I'm always by your side, remember?"

Bonnie nodded then looked down at their son.

"He looks just like you."

"Come on, he's got some of you in there too."

"Sorry, I couldn't tell with all the Stefan I see on his little face." Bonnie smiled and looked up at him.

Stefan shook his head. "So what's our son's name?"

"I don't know. Do you want to help me?"

Stefan nodded. "Well I've always liked the name Stefan."

They laughed and Bonnie shook his head at him. "You want him to be a junior?"

"No, I want you to be able to move on if you want to and not have my name escape your mouth any more than it needs to."

"I don't mind."

"You say that now, babe, but I know you."

Bonnie looked down at their son and knew that he was right. It would all be too hard for her to name their son Stefan and move on and maybe find some one else for her.

"Okay, if not Stefan what about Steve?"

"Nah, I had a bad experience with a Steve in the past."

Bonnie chuckled. "Uh, what about Thomas?"

"You know what, babe, I like it. Thomas Salvatore. What about a middle name?"

"Why don't you decide?"

"Alright let's see… what about Thomas James Salvatore. It has a nice ring to it. TJ for short, maybe?"

"I love it, babe."

"And I love you and little T."

Bonnie smiled. "We love you too."

They both leaned in for a kiss and Bonnie felt Stefan's lips slowly fade from hers. When she opened her eyes he was gone and she was back to her reality.

About a month had passed and Thomas was growing fast. The more he grew the more she saw Stefan in him and now she was started to see some of her in him too. He had Stefan's eyes, nose, and eyebrows but he had Bonnie's face and hair.

She couldn't believe that she was here. That she was standing there reading his name engraved on a gravestone along with his birthdate and that dreadful day beside one another separated by a dash and above it a small quote.

Bonnie held Thomas in her hand and sat down a few inches away from the stone.

"I'm not sure where to start, but I'll guess I'll start by saying Hi. I'm sorry that I haven't visited lately and I know what you would say right now, 'Bonnie you're taking care of our baby, is more important than you be here than here'." Bonnie smiled.

"Anyway, this is TJ or little T, whatever you like, I call him both and I'm pretty sure I'm confusing him, but he's smart I think he can handle it. Ain't that right baby bear?" Bonnie kissed his cheek. "So I figured that you'd like to see us and I promise to stop by whenever I can to keep you up to date. There's not much to know now other than he poops a lot and surprisingly he doesn't cry a lot and he likes to sleep which I like so that I could get some sleep in myself... And uh, Stefan, if you could do that thing where you come back and I get to talk to you and touch you and kiss you even if it's only for a second, I'll really appreciate it. I miss you and I love you and I'll wear your ring forever no matter what. I don't care if I meet someone else they're just gonna have to learn to deal with it because you were and are my one and only. I love you, Thomas loves you, I tell him about you every night. I know that he doesn't really understand, but I still do. Anyway, you should get back to whatever it was you were doing before I talked your ear off. I love you so much."

"I love you too." Stefan said looking down at her as she walked away from his grave. "Both of you."

A/N: So this is the end of Sway. Just to let you know I plan on making a sequel and I can bet that most of you can guess what it'll be about, but before I start that I want to finish the rest of my stories and I actually have another story that I pre writ so it's already finished, so after all my current fics are completed I'll start with the sequel along with the story that's pre written.

I hoped that you all enjoyed this story and thank you all so much for sticking with this story even when I wouldn't update for months at a time. Stefan was always planned to die when I first started writing I just didn't figure out the how until later on, but I hope that you guys aren't too mad at me for that, but I wanted to switch it up a little. Alright, thank you all again and until next time!
