Chapter 11

Later that day James and Lily sat in the library discussing how to crack Snape and get him to switch them back.

"OK James if my brilliant plan to get Severus to switch us back doesn't work then we can...

"Torture Snape!" James yelled, a little too loudly. A Ravenclaw girl a few tables down looked over, to whom she thought was Lily Evans with a scared smile and slowly backed out of the library. Her book stretched out in front of her; at least it was hard back. That could make a pretty good weapon. But against Lily in her new mental state she wasn't sure that she would even have a chance to use it. Lily sighed her head in her hands.

"James are you seriously trying to make people think I'm clinically insane!?" Lily snapped, thumping her book down onto the table. At that moment a dark figure entered the library his greasy hair hanging over his prominent nose.

"Severus!" James yelled as he spotted the sallow Slytherin enter "I need to talk to..."

Just then the Ravenclaw girl pulled Snape aside and whispered " Be careful Snape. I think Lily's lost it!"

Severus looked puzzled no one normal spoke to him unless they had to. Snape through a sceptical gaze over at James and Lily. 'Lily' was giving him an extremely creepy smile reminiscent of a serial killer and 'James' was biting his lip, which was very unlike his normal loathing expression. "Er thanks but I think I can handle myself" Snape said his eyes narrowed, why wouldn't this girl want him talking to Lily? It didn't matter to Severus even if Lily had yelled at him, he wouldn't have minded. He missed her so much. He crossed the room, sending a longing look at the beautiful redheaded in front of him, and sat down next to James.

"Potter." Snape spat.

"Hi Severus!" said James cheerily standing up and pushing in his chair

"Um.. Hi Lily." Snape said shyly, he was surprised that she was talking to him after what he had done.

" Can I talk to you for a moment Severus? " James asked, his voice sickly sweet "Alone."

Lily's face turned to one of panic "Are you sure that's a good idea Lily?"

" Keep your hair on Potter. It's just a conversation" Snape said smirking

James send Snape a vindictive glare. Lily sent James a pleading look as he reached for his wand.

"I can take care of myself James!" James sat reluctantly putting his wand back into his pocket "Follow me please Severus" simpered James leading Severus down a aisle of books labelled "Hexes and curses".

Lily gulped, worried what James would do to Snape
