-LAST TIME ON: My New Dog?-

Kagome looked down at Inuyasha.

He smiled at her warmly.

Kagome's cheeks heated. This really was him, wasn't he? This really was Inuyasha. HER Inuyasha.

Kagome slowly closed her fingers around his hand. And as slowly as she closed her hand around his, she did just the same with her eyes.

As did her Inuyasha.

My New Dog?

Ch.4

Just a Picture!

"I wanna go with you!" Inuyasha pouted as he sat on Kagome's bed.

"You can't!" Kagome told him angrily as she packed her back pack. "We don't know if you'll change into a dog or not at school."

"But I don't want you out of my sight!" Inuyasha argued.

Kagome sighed, "I'm sorry, Inuyasha, but I can't take you with me."

And with that, the girl was out the door, heading for the kitchen.

"Oh, hello, Dear," Mama smiled at Kagome.

"Hi, Mama."

"Where are you going, Dear?" Mama asked as she placed a bowl of rice in front of Kagome.

Kagome wolfed down her food, "School, but I'm going to be late. Gotta go! Love ya'!"

"Wait, Kagome!"

"Yeah?"

"Don't you know? Today is a staff meeting at school. You don't have school today."

Kagome blinked a few times, "Eh?"

"I'm sorry," said Mama," I thought you knew."

'Stupid Kagome,' Inuyasha thought bitterly as he bounced his foot up and down as he lay on his back, using his arms like a pillow on Kagome's bed.

His ears twitched as he could hear the faint click of Kagome's door open and her sweet scent fill the room.

"Thought you said that you were leaving," Inuyasha stated gruffly.

Kagome sighed, "Not today." She sat down on the bed, next to Inuyasha, surprising him and asked, "Want to go see a movie?"

Inuyasha growled as he messed with the black hat that covered his ears, "This thing is so annoying!" He wore a black T-shirt and some blue jeans. Nothing to uncommon looking about him, well, except for his long white hair that trailed behind him. "And these shoes!"

"What's wrong with shoes?" Kagome asked. She wore a pink summer dress, since it was spring, after all.

Inuyasha muttered something Kagome couldn't hear. "And stop trailing behind," she said to him, grabbing his hand and tugging him behind her.

Inuyasha could feel his cheeks begin to heat, as a dumbfounded look crossed his face. You could say that he looked like a lost puppy, but of course, he wasn't lost.

"So, what do you want to see?" Kagome asked Inuyasha.

He looked up at all the titles and narrowed his eyes, "Uh….."

"Hey! Up in the front! Make up your mind already!" One of the men in the line yelled.

Kagome shot a nasty look at him then looked back at the half-demon, "It's okay, Inuyasha, I'll pick a movie."

In the end Kagome had decided to go with a horror movie. Why not? For some strange reason, Kagome had a feeling that Inuyasha would like it. Besides, she couldn't remember the last time that she had seen a horror film.

As the two sat in the darkening theatre, before the movie had started, Kagome whispered to Inuyasha, "Hey, Inuyasha?"

"Yeah, what?"

"Um… I don't know how to ask this… But, uh, can you-"

"-Read? No, I can't."

"Oh," Kagome blinked at his blunt response. "I'm sorry, I didn't know."

"Don't be," he smiled at her.

The room began to get darker as the movie started.

Inuyasha, at first, was absolutely amazed by how the pictures could move and had sound, but soon he had completely lost interest at the rather dumb movie. Finding himself more interested in the girl next to him.

It was some horror film of an old haunted house, that lived up to the stereotype of all ghostly movies. A murder had taken place and, as always, the soul had vowed to torment whoever came across its path.

Kagome soon found herself turning away every now and then. Jumping, or covering her eyes. Now she remembered why she hadn't seen a horror film in so long. They scared her. Well, this was just a wonderful predicament that she had put herself into, wasn't it?

Kagome covered her ears as she screwed her eyes shut when the ghost had popped out of the wall.

Inuyasha found himself slightly rolling his eyes at the girl's antics and put an arm around her. Easily removing the armrest between them, by pushing it up.

Kagome found herself begin to blush as he forced her on his lap. Thanking the heavens that the theatre was too dark for him to see her red cheeks.

"Why did you pick this one if you weren't going to like it?" Inuyasha whispered in her ear, making Kagome slightly shiver.

"I-I thought you'd like it," she answered him.

"Stupid," Inuyasha said as he stood up taking the girl with him.

Kagome followed after him, not like she had a choice, he was holding her hand, "Where we going? Don't you want to see the ending?"

The walked out of the theater, "No," Inuyasha told her simply.

Kagome sighed, "Now what are we going to do for the rest of the day?" She looked at her watch; 11:37. Well, that's just great, wasn't it?

Inuyasha suddenly asked, "Kagome, what's that?"

The girl turned to look at what exactly the boy was pointing at, when she saw a photo booth. Oh, that could be fun.

Kagome took Inuyasha to it, "What is this?"

Kagome smiled, "It'll be fun, trust me." Putting the right amount of yen in the coin slot, Kagome pushed Inuyasha inside. "Here," she instructed, "look at that dot there." Suddenly a flash went off and it made Inuyasha begin to growl.

FLASH!

"What was that?! Lightning?!"

Kagome laughed, "Smile."

Inuyasha looked at her dumbfounded, "Why should I? What is this thing? And why the he-"

FLASH!

"Inuyasha," Kagome scolded, "you have to smile!"

Inuyasha crossed his arms, "What kind of witch craft are you partaking in, exactly?!"

Kagome grabbed Inuyasha's cheeks and pulled them apart, "Smile!"

FLASH!

"Why are you being so difficult!"

"Why are you being so pushy?!" Inuyasha had snapped back.

"What's your problem? Can't we just do something fun without you trying to 'protect' me or harass me, for that matter?!"

FLASH!

"Oh yeah? I assumed that you appreciated guys doing that to you."

Kagome reared at him, "What gave you that stupid notion?!"

"Well, for one, you're always coming home smelling like other males."

Kagome fumed, "I have to see other people, Inuyasha! It's part of school! You know, I liked you better as a dog, at least you couldn't bark at me, threatening with me with your 'bite'."

FLASH!

A little boy, no older than six years of age walked by a photo booth to see a strand of pictures. It looked like a school girl and some cosplayer yelling at each other, but that last picture looked odd. He studied it, but just couldn't wrap his elementary mind around it. In the last picture, the girl was there, screaming, but the cosplayer was gone.

Instead, sat a large white dog.

TOBECONTINUED!
