He wondered how he was able to do this.

He wondered how he got into it.

He wondered how he made it in.

He wondered if he could get out of this.

He wondered why he stopped doing this.

They all wondered how this always happened to them.

"What? Are you kidding me right now?"

His suit was starting to buzz out and he groaned in frustration and banged his right fist against his left "Come on!" as he continued, the suit lit up again and he let out a small laugh and flew into the air. Blasting the creatures with his electric bolts.

He roared and beat his chest as he fought back at one of the creatures, he had been almost the size of them but they were bigger in muscle but that didn't stop him from fighting. The other who had been pushing against the green giant chuckled with a wide smirk on his face, his horns pushing the green ones face away from his. "Puny green man, why must you keep going?" the black creature asked and kicked the green one at his gut which sent him flying towards a building. He didn't respond he just roared once more and lunged at the darker one. Not realizing the burning sensation forming on his arms from the black giants touch.

Arrow after arrow, he shot them all and clicked the detonator for it to explode on the creatures, reaching for another one he shot and aimed at one that was near Steve, waiting for the rest to surround him he clicked the button and a big explosion surrounded the great Captain it was a good thing he had that shield to protect him. He turned as he heard a creaking behind him on the building roof, arrow set and aimed he searched for the large creature, staying still he stretched his fingers out and cracked his neck. Walking around where he heard the loud creak he targeted, stepping in soft steps. Then the creature lunged at him and Clint shot his arrow and it landed between the creatures horns, running backward he jumped off the building and clicked at the button and the arrow exploded, he could hear the wailing hiss of the monster as he fell.

He ran and threw his shield at the giant creature, catching it as it was brought back to him, he used it to block an attack from the large one. He ran back and locked gazes with the other using this to his advantage he threw the shield and took the time to run up to him and jump as high as he could and kick the giants face with powerful sore legs, the shield he had thrown laid across the floor and as the giant fell he reached for it and took it. Running on to fight another.

He didn't know how he was able to fight after his mission this morning, but he couldn't just lay back in a bed and let his friends fight without their leader and he wasn't going to lay there after what happened to his little soldier. He ran and slid under the legs of the giant creatures and slammed his shield against it with great force, toppling the giant towards the floor. He grinned and went on to fight others.

He smashed his hammer onto the ground, it shook and cracked and the creatures fell with a hiss. Bringing it up he summoned the lightning and it flashed and burned his enemies, one managed to sneak up behind him and used his horns to hit the god straight in the head, hitting him hard to knock the might god to the floor. Squinting past his eyelids he could hardly see the creature, blood trickled down from his head and opening his eyes wider his pupils dilated in shock. "A..frost giant?!" he was larger than the average giant and he wasn't blue, he was black but unlike the other two this one wasn't slimy.

"Son of Odin." his voice was rough and deep, his red eyes were the only other thing that resembled of a frost giant. "Pleasure to be the one that will kill you." he heard him say and he brought his thickly muscled arm up and Thor finally using his muscles, moved before the giant could hit him.

Tony, flew high up and tried to locate where these big beasts came from, he had been trying to since his daughter left.

That was this morning.

Now it was evening and most of New York had evacuated except for the heroes and some stupid news reporters. He looked down, seeing the other Avengers fighting, lost in his mind he didn't hear Jarvis speaking to him until something heavy fell on him which caused him to fall slightly but he still managed to fly "Shit!" he cursed out and turned to try and push the creature off of him, his big black muscled hands ripped the mask off and threw it away Tony panicked and tried to push this thing off him until he remembered something.

Smirking he uttered a small word which opened the suit from behind and Tony fell out "Bye, bye." he teased out and then snapped his fingers to which his suit exploded in one swift blast. The limp creature fell towards the ground. Quickly taking out something from his pocket, he clicked the pen and it transformed into a suit. The metal machine spreading to his arms and legs and torso "Alright Jarvis, how we doing there?" he asked as his mask slammed shut in front of his face, the blue screen brightening his face.

"Model 546 is doing well, charged one hundred percent and ready for testing."

Cracking his neck with a sigh he clicked his tongue "Testing, good enough for me then." he said and kicked his heels together and the suit flew smoothly and his eyes locked on several targets and he grinned "How many can I shoot at?" he asked and Jarvis answered "At least twenty targets sir." his grin grew wider and blasts shot out from his hands and burned the black creatures away "Wow." he mumbled out and continued to blast away more of them until a loud creaking noise came from above them.

The creatures they all fought hissed and ran away from their enemies to disappear off onto somewhere else. Tony looked down at his teammates and brought his head back up at the clouds, he flew up as his teammates called after him. "Jarvis how's the suit holding up?" when he asked all he heard was static and the screen from inside of his suit began to flicker but before it did he was able to look past the eyes holes of the mask and saw a wormhole where the creatures were being sucked into and then it closed quickly.

Tony kicked his heels together again and stopped flying trying to get back to the ground without damaging the suit, as he neared the ground he kicked them together again and landed safely onto the cracked ground his mask opening up.

"What just happened?" Steve asked as he rested on the ground covered in sweat and rubble, little dark scratches and bruises all over his face and neck. Thor touched the side of his face where the giant had head-butted him hard, the blood that had trickled down had dried up, why had there been frost giants on Earth? Why had they attempt to steal his little artist? Bruce shrunk back to size and collapsed on the floor clutching his arms as a black burning blob was seen on them. Thor looked over to check on him and saw the burn that he had felt once before Thor rubbed his fingers against Bruce's arms, being careful as not to touch the burning black blob. "Did anyone else get touched?" he asked and looked at his partners who shook their heads, looking back at Bruce he picked him up "My friends, I need you to get somewhere safe while I take Bruce to find the treatment for this wound in Asgard."

"Asgard? W-why do I need to go there?" Bruce asked stuttering "To get the proper treatment of course. Do not worry the nurses will treat you well. Now I need you to hold on to me." and Tony snickered lightly, Steve stood and smacked him lightly to make him shut up and he grew serious again. "Ahem, sorry. Uh good luck I suppose." he muttered out and watched as they left. Tony grinning as he saw Bruce wrap his arms around Thor's neck.

"Well lets hope S.H.I.E.L.D won't bother us!" Tony clapped his hands and began walking "Wait, where are you going?" Clint called after him, Steve looked at him too with a questioning stare "Well, I have a child I need to check on. A wife who will probably worry sick if I don't get there anytime soon. Does that answer your question Cupid?" he quirked an eyebrow at him, Clint narrowed his eyes in annoyance at the name and turned his head. Steve shook his head and walked, leaving the both men to follow after.

"Wait, where's my car?"

Steve groaned.

They looked up at the ceiling, a dark foggy emotion clouding over them. The door shut softly and she could hear the mumbling words "She's fine, her arm is just broken. She'll have to stay in the cast for a month or so." she looked at her right arm the bright blue bandages wrapped tightly around it. "And her head?" she asked, she could here the doctor sigh "Well, that's what worries me. Her head is fine, no brain damage, no opening wound no anything. All she has is a mild headache just give her time to rest up she's probably terrified of the incident. I left her in there sleeping." she heard her mother mutter out a thanks and the doctor left, his heavy footsteps growing lower and lower as he walked away. Jay shuffled to her left side, facing away from the door and wrapped her trembling body in the thick fluffy sheets that went with the bed the ice pack that laid on her fell off and she groaned and placed it back on. The doctor told her to sleep but she didn't want to but he insisted and so she closed her eyes, but didn't actually sleep.

She turned her head to look at the door, the ice pack shifting slightly. She expected her to enter and watch her as she slept but she didn't. No one came in. That angered her and she grabbed the ice pack from her head and threw it knocking over a couple of vases that decorated the old room, not caring of the pain that shot through her arm. She grabbed the pillows and slammed them onto the floor, she got up and ripped the curtains away from the windows the white light spilling onto the dark room, making the room turn gray. She grabbed her bear and held it up in the air but she couldn't bring herself to throw it.

Falling to her knees she stared at it, she remembered waking up to have this teddy bear next to her in the hospital bed. She didn't know who gave it to her and she never found out but she loved it with all of her heart. Hugging it tightly to her chest she sat with her legs now crossed, she could feel the tears stinging her eyes, reaching to touch her necklace she gasped and looked down.

"Where is it?!"

"So you failed?" a smooth voice asked, as he played with the jewel around his neck. He looked down from his high throne at the larger one who had been bowing. "But, my king. We were able to locate her-"

"Yes you did, but you ended up losing her to..to those midgardians! So you failed."

The larger one flinched slightly and stood straight to stare at the man deeply with his crimson eyes. "Please my king, spare my life, I promise you that I will locate the young girl!" the king, tapped his fingers on the throne's arm rest, and thought for a moment until finally making his decision. But before he could give the giant an answer he asked him a question. "Is that other one with her?"

"The Odin boy? Yes."

"The other one you idiot. The sorcerer."

"Oh, yes. Is that important?"

His blue lips scowled and he played with the jewel necklace that was given to him. "I will give you three days, if I don't have her by then I will go get her myself and kill you while I'm at it." the larger one nodded and left the throne room in a hurry.

"Please be careful with him." he said one more time, the healers nodded and Bruce looked at the god who told him that he'd be fine. The healers took him away assuring their prince that his friend would be well taken care of. Thor set his hammer through the loop of his belt and marched to the throne room, his father had to tell him the truth now. He needed to tell him everything.

Slamming the doors open his father had been speaking to some warriors of another realm. "Pardon me, it seems that my son needs to speak to me of an urgent matter." the warriors nodded and bowed to the prince and left the room, father and son alone to speak. "I didn't expect you to come hoe so soon." he spoke but Thor had no patience for his father but he knew to remain calm either way. He was taught to act like a prince after all. "What is this about Thor?" he asked him finally, he held his staff as he walked around the room. "It's about Khu." his voice was stern and Odin scowled at the girls name. "What of her?" Thor could feel his anger building up inside of his chest, if he had been speaking with another he was sure he would've lashed out on them, but this wasn't another person. This was his father. A king, a king to be treated with respect and Thor knew better then to show his anger in his fathers presence. "You told me that she died after reaching Midgard, but tell me why I found her. Alive, with my friends down on earth?" Odin looked at his son eye wide, he turned back with a sigh escaping his lips. "Yes I lied to you, but what is it that you want to know Thor? I know there's more into that question."

"Frost Giants attacked today, they tried to take her. They hurt my friends as well. I want to know why they did this." Odin turned and walked "Come with me my son, I must show you something." Thor followed him a bit hesitant at first "Do you remember the story Frigga would tell you? The one about the Mutant King of Jotunheim?" Thor nodded and Odin continued "They were the ones you saw today. Was it not?" Thor thought back and told them how they looked like and Odin nodded "But what are they exactly?" turning a corner he explained "They are Frost Giants, as you said. But the mutants had existed eons ago, for them to be alive now means they had been kept somewhere safe, to be used again. These mutants aren't like the average Giants, Thor. They are wild, wicked to the very last bone but loyal to their king, they are not easily out witted like the others you've faced. When in a heated battle they act almost as if they were Berserkers. So remember to be careful." they entered the same room he took Jane into the last time she was here. He knew just because of that, that things starting from now on wouldn't be good.

Odin took out a book, it's cover was blue, with swirls and ancient writing on it, it glimmered under the light resembling of a blue waving sea. "My son, this is a prophecy. A prophecy that was made in Jotunheim." Thor looked at his father his face scrunching up in shock and confusion, "Long ago, our ancestors made a great mistake with King of Jotunheim. That mistake made the king put on a curse on us." Odin flipped the pages in the book, he read the words while Thor looked at the pictures, one of them showed the brown haired girl being found by two young boys. "The prophecy would fall upon the king who's son could wield and be worthy of Mjölnir." Thor looked at his father and back at his hammer, he swallowed and walked back a few steps, he was growing scared to hear the other words. Odin looked at Thor and continued on "The Mutant King, said that once she entered Asgard that the Casket of Ancient Winters would be stolen and she would disappear along with it. I banished her because of that, I did it before it ever happened. I told you she was dead because if you knew she wasn't, you would go look for her ." he said and shut the book "It was better than the other option I had in mind." Thor looked at his father, his fists clenched tight "I want to know why they need her." Odin shook his head and told him something that shook Thor to the very core.

He fell as he walked back, Odin walked out of the room, leaving his son. Thor couldn't believe it, no he wouldn't. Reaching for the book he resumed his spot on the floor and flipped through the pages, he skimmed through the words and threw the book across the floor, he clutched his head and ran out "No. No. No!" he yelled and went on to look for Bruce. They needed to get back now.

He glared at the bright blue that had wrapped her arm, he leaned against the wall with the smaller beside him. The same glare shaking in his eyes, Tony had come back to the little old house they had up here.

A nice cabin was the best way to describe it, not too big or too small. Perfect for a family to live in. One that would most certainly bring them happiness.

But no one was happy.

Jay had been sleeping now, her right arm dangled from the edge of the bed. Tony and Luke had been in the room for three hours, never making eye contact or a sound. Tony didn't really want the boy here though, but that didn't mean he wanted to leave him back in New York but to have another child in their care meant double the trouble. They'd have to keep closer eyes on the children. Tony slid down the wall and sat on the floor, legs growing tired of standing. He rubbed the corner of his eye not taking notice of the squirming child on the bed.

Luke blinked for what seemed like forever and examined the girl, she curled into a ball and let a hiss out through her teeth. She shivered violently and Tony finally looked up and burst up from the floor to quickly make way to his daughters side. He touched her forehead and drew his hand back as soon as he touched her "You're ice cold.." Luke walked towards her slowly and once he reached up to the bed he touched her and realized what he meant but he didn't draw his hand away "I need to call a doctor." Tony said and began to leave the room until Jay shot up from her bed with a scream. Pepper came running into the room with everyone else behind, worry filled their eyes. Jay sat on the bed still, her pale cold skin returning to it's tan warmer self, she looked over and saw her father she got up from the bed and hugged him tightly she cried in his lower chest and held him tightly.

No one spoke, no one moved. They all stood there silent and confused now. The only noise that rung in the room was the muffled child's cries "Daddy! I'm scared! Please don't..l-let..!" she stuttered and looked up hot tears smothered her face and snot was beginning to peak out from her nose, Tony picked her up and soothed her as if she was a baby "I don't want to die daddy!" she wailed out and Pepper covered her mouth while tears swelled up in her eyes, she ran out and Jane followed after. Tony left the room too, his friends moving aside to let him pass. Clint had been the first to say something "This isn't good."

So there is that, hope you enjoyed and sorry if this felt short and sorry Loki doesn't make much of an appearance here but don't worry they'll be more scenes to come. Plus this was the first time I've written something with a bunch of action scenes so bear with me. Can anyone guess why Jay is growing more depressed each day now? Can anyone else guess why this chapters name sounds so sad? Anyways, stay tuned to the next chapter!
