"Do you think she could make blind person see again?"

Blaine raises his eyebrow. "I think so. Why?''

Kurt smiles. They just need to find a way to convince that man to go with two strangers to meet with a mermaid which could cure his eyes. Kurt's smile fades. How are they supposed to that? He is pulled out of his through, when Blaine gently shakes his shoulder.

''What's on your mind?" He asks.

''Look at that man.'' Kurt gestures at the man sitting on a bench, not far from them. ''He has no ring.'' When he notices that Blaine has no idea what he is talking about, Kurt rolls his eyes. ''You should now after so many years spent here, that when someone has a ring on their finger, that means they're married.''

Blaine grabs Kurt's hand and looks at his fingers. Kurt miraculously stops himself from laughing out loud. He doesn't want to hurt Blaine's feelings. When he let's go off Kurt's hand, he looks up at Kurt's face. ''What is that for? We don't use anything like that under water.''

''Really?" Kurt asks. ''So how can you know if someone is married?"

''Everyone is married.'' Blaine shrugs. ''When you're not married, it means that you're not old enough or that your spouse is already dead. You can't remarried.'' Blaine looks so sad, that Kurt wraps his arms around him and lets them sit like that for a couple of minutes.

''You won't have to worry about something like that ever again.'' Kurt says with a small smile upon his face. ''There is just one problem with my plan. We have to convince him to go with two strangers.''

''Yeah.'' Blaine admits. ''Let's start with introducing ourselves!" Kurt can't figure out how Blaine can be so cheery about it. It's not easy as he makes it sound, but Kurt doesn't want to kill this hope inside of him.

Blaine raises from his seat and takes Kurt's hand. They walk over to the man, and that's when all the courage leaves Blaine. Kurt can see that the dark-haired boy has no idea how to introduce himself, so Kurt has to take up the baton.

He squats down, in front of the dog and rubs it's head. ''You have a beautiful dog.''

The blind man smiles. ''Yeah, Amber is wonderful. She helps me a lot.''

''I love dogs. They are so smart and beautiful.'' Kurt says honestly.

''Do you have one?"

''Unfortunately, no. I live in a small flat, so there is no place for a dog. But in a few years, when I have my own house, I might get one.'' At the mention of his future, Kurt smiles at the dark-haired boy, who smiles back.

''I can't imagine my life without her. She's the only woman in my life.'' Kurt and Blaine share a look. ''Oh, where are my manners? My name is James Waller.'' He holds out his hand.

Kurt firmly shakes it. ''My name is Kurt Hummel. And next to me is standing my really shy, but adorable friend.'' Blaine's cheeks flushes bright red, and he punches Kurt's arm playfully. ''What? It's truth, isn't it?''

''I am not shy.'' Blaine says, as he shakes James' hand. ''My name is Blaine.''

''It's nice to meet you, boys.'' James says smiling warmly.

''Likewaise.'' Kurt says. ''We are going to buy some ice-cream. Do you want to join us?'' He asks awkwardly.

James seems to consider Kurt's proposition, and for a while Kurt is worried that he might say no.

''Sure, why not?'' He grabs Amber's leash and stands up. They go to the nearest ice-cream shop in awkward silence. Kurt starts wondering if this is really a good idea. They order their ice-cream and sit at the table. After a moment, all of sudden James burst out laughing. Kurt and Blaine look at each other, dumbfounded. Couple of seconds later, he stops laughing and speaks up. ''Okay, tell me what it is all about. Do you really think that I am stupid enough to believe that two young men want to hang out with a forty-years old guy? Tell me what you want from me.''

''I-I...'' Kurt starts, but is quickly stopped by James.

''Let me finish. If you think that I am your charity case, then you're wrong. I don't want your pity.'' His smile disappears. Kurt buries his head in his hands from embarrassment. They are screwed.

''I am so sorry, if you think so, sir.'' Blaine says. ''Althrough you're partly right. We're not here just to eat ice-cream. We have a proposition for you...''

''Blaine, stop. This is ridiculous.'' Kurt cuts him off.

''...you might be able to see again, if you...''

''Blaine, stop!" Kurt yells. ''Don't you see that you're making fool out of yourself?''

''Don't you want me to stay with you?" Blaine snaps. ''Maybe you don't want me here?"

''You know it's not like that, Blaine.'' Kurt says calmer. ''But maybe we're not meant to be together.''

''Don't you dear think like that!"

''We have known each other for a couple of days. Maybe you should go away and let me move on.'' Kurt really doesn't know why he is saying these things.

Blaine opens his mouth, as to argue, but quickly shuts it. A single tear runs down his cheek, but he quickly wipes it away. ''If that's what you want.'' He raises from his seat and leaves ice-cream shop without another word.

''Well, I'm sorry for ruining your...relationship.'' James says rubbing Amber's head.

''What relationship?'' Kurt rubs his face sighing. ''As you can see there's nothing between us anymore.''

''Oh, don't give up on him yet.'' James smiled sadly. ''I would do everything for love...'' Kurt raises his eyebrow. ''Could you tell me about that proposition? I'm just curious.''

Kurt sighs again. ''I don't want you to think that I am crazy.''

''Try me.''

''What would do if I said that I can give you love and ability to see?" Kurt asks, looking at his untouched ice-cream.

''I would say that you're too depressed after your break-up to think straight.'' He says jokingly, but then he becomes serious again. ''Stop joking. Tell me what's going on.''

''I wasn't joking.'' Kurt says, finally looking up at James. ''This is the truth. I know you don't believe me.''

''Explain.'' James simply says. His face is devoid of emotions.

''Okay, just let me tell everything, than ask whatever you want.'' Kurt takes a deep breath. ''Couple of years ago, when I was seventeen years old, I met Blaine under...extraoridinary circumantes. He saved my life. I was drowning, and Blaine was in the right place, at the right time. He was not a regular guy. He was...a merman. Then he disappeared and I couldn't forget him. His bright eyes, dark hair and...red tail. Couple of days ago I saw him again. And to my surprise he was a human. I thought that we could try to be friends or something more, but then he said that he can be a human just once a week. His aunt of course can turn into a human forever, but she's insane. She said that she doesn't want to be alone, so we have to find her a perfect man, or otherwise, Blaine stays under sea.''

James' face is still the same. ''Are you okay?'' Kurt asks him.

''I should ask you the same.'' He says. ''But if half of it is true and you are as head over heals in love with each other as you make is sound, then you should fight for him.''

Kurt sighs. ''I am so stupid. I have no idea where Blaine is, and I don't have a perfect guy for Sabrina. Everything is over now.''

''Everytihng inside of me is screaming that I should stay away from you, but...I will help you.''

Kurt's mouth falls open. ''Do you believe me then?''

''No.'' James says immediately. ''But I have nothing to lose, right? This dog is my only companion. I can go.''

A big grin appears on Kurt's face. He start to wonder where they should start. He decides eventually that it would be the best if they started with Blaine's secret beach hoping that they would find there Blaine or Sabrina.

He pays for ice-cream and they start their walk to the beach. It's not too far away, but Kurt is lost in thoughts, so he takes a wrong turn once or twice. When they finally arrive, Kurt is disappointment to see that the beach is empty.

For a while he thinks he might start crying.

''Are they here?" James asks gripping tightly Amber's leash.

''No.'' Kurt says, as a sob escapes his mouth. James walks over to him with Amber's help and wraps his arms around the younger man. They stay like that for a short moment, until James pulls away.

''Kurt?" At the sound of his name, Kurt looks around to see Sabrina sitting on the sand. Her tail is shining beautifully in the sun. ''Is this him?"

Kurt nods his head, wrapping his arms around himself. He is not sure if everything will end well. He still has no idea where Blaine is. ''Where's Blaine?'' He asks her.

''I don't know, dear.'' Sabrina responses, still looking at James.

''Um, Hello.'' James says awkwardly. ''I'm James, whoever you are.''

''My name is Sabrina. Are you blind?" She asks without any hesitation.

''Yeah.'' James says awkwardly, clearly not used to her behavior.

''Come over here.'' She says.

Kurt grabs James' hand and leads him to Sabrina. The both sit on the sand, next to her and she immediately takes James' hand.

''Your skin is so soft and warm.'' He says in awe. Where's that cocky guy from earlier?

''Were you born blind?"

''No, I lost sight when I was ten.'' He says sadly.

''Do you want to see me?'' She asks sweetly.

''You have no idea how much.''

Just like that Sabrina kisses his mouth, and he immediately starts kissing back.

In that moment Kurt wants to disappear.

When they pull apart, James' face changes. His mouth falls open and he puts off his sunglasses. Kurt can see his beautiful blue eyes. ''Oh my God.'' He whispers looking at Sabrina. ''I can finally see everything.'' After what feels like forever James throws himself at Sabrina and starts kissing her open-mouthed, apparently not noticing her tail.

''Thank you, Kurt.'' Sabrina says turning to him. ''Now if you still want it, Blaine can stay on land, with you forever.''

Kurt's smile fades. He has no idea where his dark-haired friend is. ''Thank you, Sabrina. Now I just have to find him.''

He turns to leave, but Sabrina's voice stops him. ''Blaine can't live without you. You'll find him in no time.''

Kurt starts searching city with no results. Why does life has to be so complicated? It's all his fault. He shouldn't have yelled at Blaine. It's two AM when he finally notices dark-haired man sitting on a cliff. Kurt walks over and sees that his knees are cuddled to his chest and tears are streaming down his cheeks. It's hard to notice it in the darkness, but the moon illuminates him.

''Blaine?" He asks, as he stands in front of Blaine. He looks up at Kurt and starts sobbing. Kurt sits next to him and just holds him for a couple of minutes until he's calmer. ''I am so sorry for yelling at you earlier. I shouldn't have said those things. I didn't mean them.''

''I know.'' Blaine says. ''I shouldn't have run away.''

Kurt just tightens his grip. ''You're here now. That's all that matters to me.''

They stay in each other's arms for a couple of minutes. ''I don't want to leave you.'' Blaine finally whispers.

Kurt smiles. ''You don't have to.''

''What do you mean?'' He asks, pulling away.

''You can be with me forever. Couple of hours ago James and Sabrina met, and I think they are perfect for each other. James can see again and he's over the moon.''

Blaine sits motionlessly, but after couple of seconds he starts kissing Kurt.

Blaine can't believe this is happening. They walk through the streets of New York hand in hand with two suitcases. Blaine has never seen so many people at the same time. He doesn't know what to look at. Everything is so beautiful and alive. Blaine looks down at Amber and rubs her head. She seems to be as exctied as Blaine.

''We're here.'' Kurt says when they stand in front of high building. ''Are you okay?''

''Yeah, I'm fine. It's just a little overwhelming.'' Blaine says honestly.

They enter the building and walk up the stairs and Kurt unlocks the door to his apartment. When Blaine walks in, he is again mesmerized. Everything is amazing.

''Do you like your new home, Blaine?" Kurt asks putting his suitcase on the floor.

''Yes, it's great.'' Blaine says wrapping his arms around Kurt.

''I have to ask you something.'' Kurt says shyly. ''I should have asked you a long time, but I'm doing it now.'' He takes a deep breath. ''Blaine, will you be my boyfriend?''

''That's all I've ever dreamed of.'' Blaine says kissing Kurt softly.
