~ Converting Kurt E Hummel ~ Ch 18 As He Was And Now Is ~
Kurt Elizabeth Hummel, living life to the full … and here's what you've missed …
Kurt and Blaine are a couple, however, Kurt hasn't been interested in Blaine or guys for a while. Correction, using a huge red texta marker – Kurt and Blaine were a couple.
Kurt tried faking his feelings during their many make out sessions, and even Blaine had been noticing Kurt pulling away and that his desire from Kurt was off. Blaine would wince and silently cry, some things can not be faked, the truth and oil are similar, they both rise to the top and can't be ignored.
As for Kurt, he first noticed an interest in Sugar Motta when they'd been in line for the rollercoaster ride, during the end of school muck up day.
She too noticed his attraction for her, was getting stronger and that fuelled her desire and attraction for him.
He fought his true feelings, thinking he was unwell. For months, every day he would look at his reflection in the mirror, searching for who he is. His confusion consisted of was he gay, had he ever been, was he bi, and if it matters, what really makes the decision of any of those tags?
It took Rory to help him see the light of his true relationship with Sugar. She'd been interested in him and she'd been arguing and giggling so as to have any time with him, even if it was negative.
One day she'd had enough and ran out of class, the humiliation had been too much. He hesitated, but then he ran after her.
The first time he'd missed catching her, but then another time he caught her and professed his interest in her, (he copied Blaine) and told her she moved him.
As for Sugar, she professed an interest and learned more about Kurt from visiting Blaine at his home. She also got a little friendly with Sebastian, to learn more about Kurt and Blaine's relationship and weak spots.
Eventually she found a weak link and her timing was good, because at the same time, Kurt found his reality of being attracted to her.
Breaking up with Blaine had been torturously difficult, Blaine wouldn't listen and he fought to be in Kurt's life. Unfortunately, Burt overheard an argument and tried to intervene.
Burt even went to visit Blaine, but he'd missed him by a few hours. Blaine and Rachel had left the country to follow in Finn's calling, after something terrible had happened to Finn.
Blaine's Mum, Isabelle Anderson, shared a meal and good memories of Kurt with Burt. She missed Kurt and had been left with Blaine's over purchase of skirts. Skirts obsessively acquired by Blaine and also numerous hand made teddy bears, that resembled Blaine, and therefore they were named Blainey Bears.
No solution was found or happier ending and Burt leaves with a casserole of Isabelle's cooking.
After forming a relationship with Sugar, Kurt spends his Saturday afternoons studying with Chandler Keihl, one study session goes dramatically wrong when Chandler spikes Kurt with a drug. His infatuation and obsession for Kurt has Chandler do something reckless, eventually he places Kurt in the lower half of the house, where Kurt awakens and can't raise Finn's help on his phone.
Kurt wakes in an hallucinating state, but otherwise unharmed.
After fixing the kitchen from the aftermath of mess, Chandler goes upstairs to find a certain item of Kurt's, that he wants as a memento. He has trouble finding the item, but he does find it, he also takes something else …
Chandler is interrupted by Burt and Carole returning home, and makes a getaway.
Sugar, by the way, has a job at the local hospital and she'd been getting ready for work when she felt her own world shift, uneasily, at the same time Kurt was being assaulted by Chandler. Thereby confirming their Soul-Mate-Unity as both their worlds are linked and therefore gravitational pulls are for each other, very much like a solar link of the Earth and Moon.
When Sugar turns the corner, in her walk to work, she arrives to the scene of Kurt being admitted to the same A&E hospital, Burt and Carole are there too.
Kurt comes out of a coma, while in hospital, his experience of being drugged by Chandler is replicated but this time, it is Sugar who is there to greet him, although she had been asleep and heavy on his body, they are her eyes he pleads with for help, and it is she who helps, by raising the alarm for assistance, by being there for him.
And even though his eyes go wide from fright, in his heart he is truly relieved that she is there to save him, like he was there to save her on that ride so many years ago.
While in hospital Blaine visits Kurt a few times, one time he turns up to find Sugar already there and the jealous sting really hurts him, but he sees that all the loving gifts he'd given for Kurt, are still there and that lessens some hurt.
On one occasion Blaine can't visit Kurt, so he looks to the sun and sends his love and good wishes on the emotional current of air, they reach Kurt as he looks at where they land in his room and also in to his being, through his sight.
After release from hospital, Kurt's friendship with Miss Pilsbury has allowed for her to try and help him get better from the Chandler Ordeal.
She is with him one day, they're going to the location where Sugar had seen Chandler come out of a strange shop door.
Kurt and Miss P come across an interlude between Blaine and Sebastian Smythe. Kurt doesn't want a confrontation with Blaine and pretends to make out with Miss P, thereby appearing as someone else. This leaves a certain effect in Miss P's mind that Kurt's not gay after all, or maybe he's bi, but she's confirmed of one subject, Kurt does like the ladies.
The interlude of Blaine and Sebastian has come about by Blaine seeking Sebastian's assistance with trying to get over his break up with Kurt.
On getting up to leave, Sebastian has a spur of the moment peck of Blaine's lips, but Blaine takes him by surprise, grabbing at Seb's neck and finding comfort of something new.
On leaving their moment and the Lima Bean, Blaine sees Kurt and Miss P, but it doesn't quite set in what he's seen and also what happened with him and Seb, when it does though …
After avoiding Blaine and Seb, Kurt and Miss P go to the shop door where it's revealed that it's Kurt's family's private escape exit door. However, once inside Kurt has severe hallucinations and he thinks Miss P isn't Miss P, he gets very angry and his reality changes …

Burt is the typical patriarch of Kurt's family, and although he was close to his mother, the matriarch he related closely to was her Mum, his grandmother.
While singing in Glee club had given him benefits on dealing with bullying and self expression, Elizabeth Hummel's lasting legacy was cooking, his grandmother's lasting legacy was art, in particular painting.
In his recuperation, his experimenting with different mediums had increased and this was a proven healing tool that Sugar can see potential for him expressing what he needs to, through the different techniques and the different images that come from the painting sessions.
Kurt's days currently consist of being on his own, sometimes this is good and sometimes not.
Sugar has to work, and when she can be with him, she gives him loving affection, care and support.
Sometimes she senses he's in his own world, he's reminiscing mind, mostly though she's always present in his being, his mind, his arms.
