" I'm so happy for you!"
Feliciano exclaimed on the other end of Lovino's cellphone.
" It's been awhile since you've been out on a date! Antonio's really nice too! You both will have a lot of fun!" he squealed.

Lovino holding the phone away from his ear just scowled. " It's not a date, idiot!" he shouted at him, voice nearly cracking. Feliciano just laughed.

" Ugh- would you just shut up and listen?" Lovino didn't have the strength to yell. " He wanted to know if you wanted to tag along too."

There was silence on the other end for a moment.
"Well…Ludwig and me were going to spend some quality time together tonight! I wanted to treat him to the best restaurants in town-!" he gasped. " I mean- I don't mind double dating at all! But I think I'll have to pass. Three's company after all !" he said with a giggle.
Lovino could sense the finger wag he was doing.
" Well, fine. I'll just deal with this bastard myself."
" Hm? Did something happen?"

" No, nothing happened!"
" Are you sure? Are you really sure? Are you scared? Did he do something mean to you-"
" Stop treating me like a child."
" Okay okay. Sorry." He apologized in a singsong voice. " But, seriously. If you need me you know I'll be there for you, right? You…you deserve nothing but happiness."
Lovino blinked. Who was he talking to again? When did this conversation have the slightest hint of seriousness in it? His gaze averted, a pang of guilt in his heart.
" I'm fine, Feliciano. Really." He paused. " I'm just. Nervous."
" About your date?"

" It's not a date- damn you!"

Feliciano broke into a fit of hearty laughter.

" Okay, okay! I…eeeeeee! Ludwig you look amazing!" he squealed openly on the other line.
" Gross." Lovino muttered.
" I have to go now, fratello! Have fun on your date, okay? Okay? Call me after ! Wait- Luddy! Wait for me-!"
" It's not a date!" Lovino screeched again, before a click cut off their conversation and he was met with a monotone ring.
"…Dumbass…" he muttered to himself, glaring at the call screen of his phone he sighed. He smiled fondly at his phone for a moment before letting out a heavy sigh and putting it away, pressing his palms over his eyes.
Why did he say not to Feliciano? His only defense against this tension between him and Antonio was out of the picture. Lovino knew he was about to throw himself into a matador's arena. He was as frustrated as a bull being whipped around by a flash of red and the man who waved it in front of his face. Would he be able to resist? He had no faith in himself at this point.

A glance to the clock?
7:00pm.
It was time to enter the belly of the beast.

Antonio lived in an apartment, much to Lovino's surprise. It was small, simple and cheap and judging by the outside bound to have its fill of fest problems. Lovino was prepared to turn back and call it a day, this part of town made his skin crawl.
But, he was going to be a gentleman and go through with this.
The man did make great coffee after all, what would happen to his discounts if he didn't stay? He knocked on the door of the room labeled 307 and took a step back, crossing his arms and waiting.

The door opened and his eyes locked with emerald green ones and meeting a beautiful smile that was flashed his way.
" Lo- Mr. Vargas! You're early." He said with a light laugh.
Lovino had forgotten how to talk, starring him down with awe.
"…. Mr. Vargas?" Antonio said again, raising an eyebrow with a lopsided smile.
" Huh? Yeah. Damn, right I'm Mr. Vargas to you." He snapped, shaking himself out of his trance and adjusting the collar of his shirt.
Antonio just laughed and shook his head, stepping aside and gesturing for Lovino to enter.
" Come in and have a seat. I was just getting ready myself."

He was in the arena.

The apartment quality was decent, but being as picky as he was Lovino patted down the couch briefly before sitting himself down on it, crossing a leg over another and shutting his eyes.
Antonio didn't have much shame; careful observation revealed that he was walking around in tomato decorated boxers, and a simple white tank top. He must have just woken up.
" Do you want anything to eat while you wait?" Antonio asked him, flashing a glance to Lovi as he awkwardly sat on his couch.
" No, Grazie." He muttered in response, continuing to analyze the apartment.

" No Coffee? And here I am, bringing home coffee beans from the shop just for you~" he cooed to him in a playful manner.
" Now hold on one damn minute-" Lovino started.
" I'll take that as a big yes!" Antonio started to make him some coffee.

Pure curiosity brought Lovino off of the couch and into the kitchen, quietly watching Antonio as he engrossed himself in making coffee for his guest.
He was a witness to pure technique.
He noted that Antonio's gaze was starting to flicker to him as he stepped closer, his hands becoming unsteady as well.

"…. So you work at a Pizza place?" Antonio suddenly said.
" I make the Pizza. The damn chef who last worked that didn't know how to make real pizza." Lovino said proudly, raising his chin up slightly.
Antonio raised an eyebrow. " Really? You had him fired?"
" The man didn't use proper technique. I showed them how it was done and was hired." Lovino's pride was swelling at this point.
" Is that so? Well," Antonio smirked. " You'll have to show me this technique of yours sometime."
"You don't believe me."

" I never said that." Antonio said making a little pouty face at him as his hands continued to work.
Lovino scowled, gaze averting off his crossed his arms.
" Just get ready to go." He said before turning away from him.
" You're coffees still cooking. I can't leave it unattended, just yet." Antonio said looking back to the now boiling water he followed after Lovino.
" You came here so early- I'm sorry for not being dressed properly or anything-.." Antonio rubbed the back of his head, giving off a nervous laugh. " You don't mind waiting do you, Mr. Vargas?"

Lovino raised an eyebrow. He was early? He checked his own watch.
" I'm not early. We agreed to meet at 7:30 sharp." He said, raising his watch and pointing at the plastic covered screen.
" Uhm- Well, no. Technically you came almost an hour early. We were going to meet at eight. I think." Antonio looked thoughtful.
Lovino just starred at him. Did he seriously come almost an hour early?
" But, don't worry. I can be forgetful sometimes!" Antonio waved his hands once he noticed the look Lovino was giving him.
" You can spend sometime here and have some coffee. Then we can go to the park, hm?"
He continued to smile, raising an eyebrow of concern when Lovino continued to stare.
" Mr. Vargas…?" Antonio stepped closer to him, leaning in front of him and waving a hand in front of his eyes.
" Mr. Vargas? Mr. Vargas! " He started to repeat.

The Bull could hear the roars of the crowd as the cape was waved before him.

" Mr. Vargas?"

Those beautiful eyes full of concern. Those perfect lips.
He knew what was going to happen.
He knew why he didn't want Feliciano here.

As Antonio was about to dismiss this strange condition his guest was suddenly caught in, Lovino's hands suddenly went to his cheeks starring into his eyes. Antonio froze, locking eyes with him.
"….Mr. Vargas." he murmured before he was pulled into a kiss.
