Chapter 5 Hogwarts letters(Hermione)

A/N I was a little disappointed that no one told me what character should give Hermione her letter. So, I decide to choose it myself. But, I would like to say thanks to Spotty802 for reviewing, and also for favoriting this story.

I have posted another story that I have written before this. It's called Lily's Pleasant Surprise, and can be found in my stories. It's a James-Lily story. Please check it out!

Please, Please, Please leave a review down below, it'll mean a lot!

Chapter 5 Hogwarts Letters(Hermione)

"Hermione, dear, breakfast is ready." A voice from down the stairs said.

"Coming mum" Hermione replied. She finished putting on her clothes, then went downstairs.

"Happy Birthday darling." A tall man said at the first landing.

"Thanks dad." Hermione replied. She kept on walking down the stairs. When she got downstairs, she was greeted with the smell of blueberry waffles.

"Those smell great Mom!" She said.

"Thank you sweety." Her mom replied. They were both eating breakfast, when they heard a knock on the door. "I wonder who that is. I'll be right back"

Hermione could hear her mom go to the front door and open it. "Hello."

"Hello. Are you Mrs. Granger?" A strict sounding voice asked.

"Um, yes. Who are you?" Her mom said.

"I am Professor McGonagall. May I come in?" the voice said.

"Oh, yes, of course." She could hear them go into the living room. "Sit down, please. Now what is this about, exactly?"

"Is your daughter Hermione here?" Professor McGonagall asked.

"Ah, yes. Hermione!" Her mother called.

"Coming!" Hermione called back. She walked through the door into the living room. "Hello."

"Hello. You must be Hermione." McGonagall said.

"Um, yes. I'm not in trouble, right?" Hermione asked fearfully.

"Oh no dear. I am just here to tell you of a school that you have been accepted to." McGonagall said.

"A school? What school? I don't think that I applied for any schools yet." Hermione said, confused.

"This school is not one that you apply for. It is one that only a few people are aloud to know of, let alone go to it." She said.

"What do you mean?" Mrs. Granger asked.

"Hermione, have you ever noticed anything strange that has happened to you? Like when you were embarrassed or upset?" Professor asked.

Hermione thought of it. Then she remembered from when she was 6 years old, when a boy in her class took scissors during nap time and cut off a good 6 inches off. When she woke up, everyone was laughing at her, and when she went to the bathroom, she saw her hair, and freaked out. While in the stall crying, somehow, her hair had grown back, as when she went to wash her hands, it was back to normal length. The boy that had cut her hair was just getting up, and his hair was all unevenly cut. Everyone thought that he accidentally cut his hair in his sleep.

"Well, now that you mention it, I have." Hermione said. Then she recounted the story. "So that really was magic?"

"Yes, dear, it was." McGonagall said. "So, here comes the question. Would you like to come to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and learn how to control and improve your magic?"

"Is that even a question? Yes! Of course I want to go!" Hermione automatically said.

"Mrs. Granger?" McGonagall asked.

"Of course she can go." She replied.

"Great. Now here is your supply list. I will send another member of the staff next week to take you, and your parents if they wish, to take you shopping." McGonagall said. "Now, any questions?"

"How much exactly does it cost?" Mrs. Granger inquired.

"There are no school fees, and the school will pay for the expenses of the books and materials needed for muggle students. If you would wish to change notes into wizards money to buy any extra materials or snacks for the train." McGonagall said, standing up. "Well, very nice to meet you, and I expect to see Hermione at Hogwarts in a few months."

"Yes, ma'am." Hermione replied.

A/N I'm sorry about taking so long to get this up, I currently am extremely busy juggling high school, homework, softball, DI (and our tournament is this Saturday, and we are not ready), Project Earth, Church, Fellowship, Wilton Classes, and Cake decorating.

Please follow, favorite, and the like. How should Harry and Ron meet Hermione, the same as in the books, or should they meet on the train and become friends like Harry and Ron did in the book? Or if you think it should be some other way? Tell me in the comments.
