Lucy Pov
After 3 whole months of training, here we are, standing in the hallway of the Crocus Hotel rooms; about to enter the rooms we had been provided with during the Grand Magic Games. The girls had one room while the boys took the other.
The last 3 months, I helped heal everyone after spars and also helped Yuki-chan increase her magic capabilities. Now she could summon 2 zodiac spirits at once for quite a while. It wasn't the most beneficial to me since I'm already almost at my strength peak, but that was ok.
Everyone else didn't get that much stronger, but they definitely improved.
We went into our given rooms and settled down for a while before the boys came and joined us, starting idle chat.
Out of the blue, a booming voice announced, "All contestants are now here-kabo!" Everyone in the room seemed to sweat-drop at the announcer's ridiculous speaking patterns. A see-through hologram had been displayed in the very center of the town. "All guilds and their members are allowed to roam around the city freely-kabo! But the first event will take place at midnight sharp!" He finished, no "kabo".
I stood up and stated, "I'll be back by midnight." Before walking out of the room, my black cloak secured around me, hood up, covering half of my face. Fang walked next to me, alert, ears and tail propped upwards and his amber eyes shining, taking in everything.
We avoided the crowded areas of the city, content with watching the different decorations and events of the ongoing festival from the sidelines. Silence was between us and the loud roars of the civilians accompanied it. Many people were mostly caught up in the festival and didn't pay any mind to us, which I was grateful for.
I was walking by the city square, when I saw a big crowd of people circling around, watching something. I twitched my nose ever so slightly as I smelt the familiar scents.
Natsu's Pov
Me and Lisanna were walking around Crocus. She got us some flower necklaces, which I thought was really cute of her, and I put it on, which pleased her. Her arm was looped around mine as we walked towards a few stands in the center of the town.
Suddenly, we ran into two people and their exceeds. One was blond and the other was a pokerface dude.
"Well, if it isn't Natsu-san." The blond guy said. "Tch, you call youself a dragon slayer. You couldn't even kill that dragon that attacked you. How pathetic."
This angered me as my mood darkened.
"Unlike you, we managed to kill our dragons. We're real dragon slayers." He continued with a stupid smirk on his face, bending down since I was on the floor, his face coming closer to mine, mocking me. His friend still had a pokerface and was standing by his side.
Then I saw his mark. He was a saber. I remember everyone telling me about his guild. I felt myself giving out flames as he came even closer, smirking wider, mocking me more.
I tried to punch him but was stopped by a small hand. Before I could do anything I was punched in the stomach and my back hit a really hard wall.
"Natsu!" I heard Lis call for me in worry.
I saw a hooded person in front of blond guy. They were too small to be a guy, so it was clear that it was a girl. I then heard her say, "Guys, stop getting into so much trouble. Someone could get hurt." She then got two 'Sorry's from both of them.
I was hurt! She's weird. But she also sounds familiar.
She then turned to look at me. She walked right towards me. Now she was right in front of me, still on the ground, and she slowly squatted down as low as she could. While she did this, I saw her eyes. They were silver, which was weird.
She looked at me and said,
"Remember this Salamander. When fairies fly too close to tigers, they will get swatted at, tail or not."
Hey! So I'm sorta going through a few problems now, and that would explain the long wait. I'm really, really sorry! And I wanted to get a chapter up today so I had to do this really quickly!
Other then that, I wanted to dedicate chapters to some of my lovely reviewers, so I thought that maybe I should do song quizzes X) So, review and give me feedback and if you know the song and artist/band, guess it, is the first to guess right, I'll dedi the next chapter to you!
