Let get this chapter started off right :) Now much for me to say for this chapter except for I hope you all like it, I've been so busy with all these projects and papers for school lately I'm so sick of school, but hey I have 4 more months left before it's all over...until next year at least.
Back with the kids when we last left them gathering their emotions with the loss of being separated from everyone they once held dear to their hearts, but now that they air out as much as their grievances would let them they were once again walking through the unknown world they had gotten acquainted with for some time now. Since everyone had agreed to follow violet, lead now, all except Jr. who was still very upset, Violet let it all go to her head. She was like the worst Leader ever at least that's how her siblings saw her.
For the most part they were just walking through the thick tree with the sunlight spots showing through the gaps of the trees. They were just strolling along but some were having concerns about Violets leadership "Violet are you sure we're going the right way?" Tyler asked.
"Sure I'm sure!" She said
"Are you totally sure!" Jake asked.
"Violet you have no clue where you're going!" Jr. snapped at her.
She turned and glared at him. "I'm the leader and smartest I know what I'm doing!" She said.
"Oh you do do you!?" He smirked
Violet nodded back "Yes, I know everything!"
Jr. turned her around to face him "Oh ok...then you should know you've been leading us around in a big circle!" He snapped poking her chest.
Violet rubbed herself and glared "I have not!" She argued back.
"Yes you have take a look!" Jr. said pointing to their footprints that went all the way in a circle around the area.
"You've been taking us in circles this whole time!" Jake said angrily.
Violet looked uncomfortably at them then grinned "Oh that *scoffs* I knew that all along, I was just waiting for you all to catch on, you know testing you all!" Violet made up an excuse even though she really had no clue.
"You did not!" Jr. glared.
"Yes I did and I'll prove it to you!" She said pushing him away from her. "Follow me for real this time!" She said going in another direction.
Jr. shook his head hard and sighed "Never let it be said I didn't suffer from my siblings incompetence!" He said with a glare at violet. Once again they followed her in a new direction for at least a good mile.
"Wait I think we passed by here already!" Vanessa said trailing at the back.
"Shut up Vanessa, no we haven't!" Violet yelled back at her.
"But I remember seeing this tree before!" She pointed to the tee with the reddish colored leaves on it.
"She's right I remember it too!" Tyler said.
Jake stopped in his tracks "You mean we've been going in circles again!" He yelled with his arms crossed "VIOLET!" they all yelled in anger.
"What now!" Violet snapped back.
Jr. walked over to her "You've been leading us in circles again!" Jr. snapped poking her chest.
"I have not!" She argued
"Yes you have!" He argued back. "Vanessa remembered seeing this whole area before and so do I!"
Violet rolled her eyes "You're really going to listen to the baby!"
"I trust her more than I trust you!" He said.
"And I'm trusting you to trust me, we have not been going in circles!" She said in denial.
"Violet why don't you just admit that you don't know where you're going and..." But just then they paused when they heard a faint rushing sound nearby.
"Wait did you all heat that!" Violet said turning from Jr.
"Yeah...it's coming from over there!" Tyler pointed. They made their way in that direction as the sound got bigger and bigger, they went through a bush and came face to face with a large flowing river. Which happened to be streaming with wildlife, Birds were floating on the surface, monkey were swing over the water from vine to vine, the fish were jumping from the water to the air and then back to the water, they even saw Elephants spraying with their trunks and hippos chilling by the bankside.
"Wow!" Vanessa said smiling.
"A river! Ha see, I told you we weren't going in circles!" Violet said rubbing it in Jr.s face.
"Alright then now what!" Vanessa asked
"Now we just cross the river to the other side!" Violet said, the Jungle continued on the other side of the long dangerous river.
"And how do we do that without getting washed away?" Jr. crossed his arms seeing the water was flowing way to fast for them to swim in.
Violet looked around, she saw a trail of stones in the river that went right across "Oh! we'll hop on these stones they go all the way across!" Violet said.
Jr. was the first one to go over the rocks then Vanessa and Tyler, Jake and Violet last. Jr. ,Vanessa and Jake Had already made it across now, Tyler was having trouble with the rocks being slippery and all.
"Hey keep moving slowpoke!" Violet rushed him.
"These rocks are slippery!" Tyler said to her still hopping over. He stepped on one rock that bobbed up and down in the water. "Uh my rock is moving!" He said uncomfortably
"Rocks don't move idiot!" Violet snapped.
Tyler glared at her "Yeah well mine is!"
"Just move!" Violet pushed him and he went forwards on the next rock as Violet hit the rock that was moving but it didn't move when she stepped on it. "This rock doesn't move, Tyler you ididot, I outta..." Just then Violet started to feel something move and shake underneath her, the rock was moving and it was getting bigger and bigger. Violet tried to keep her balance as the rock rose high, but she soon found out it was no rock, she was standing on the nose of a giant scary alligator.
"Aahhh!" Both she and Tyler screamed as the rest of them screamed too. Even though Violet was on it's nose the alligator was snapping its jaws at Tyler.
"Tyler run!" Vanessa yelled, but Tyler was already jumping on rocks as fast as he could and jumped to safety with his siblings.
"You alright bro!" Jake asked
"I'm good!" He mentioned They all turned their attention back to Violet who was balancing to stay on the alligators nose while he was slashing his claws at her trying to get her. Violet backed away till she was just at the tip of his nose almost falling off.
"Violet jump down!" Jr. yelled at her.
"ARE YOU INSANE!" Violet screamed with a glare
"Would you rather get eaten!?" He yelled back. Violet didn't want to take that chance and then just went for it and jumped. She went diagonally to the ground her siblings were on she reached out her hands as Jr. did to catch her, but then the alligator flicked it's tail in the air and slammed Violet away and into the water she dropped with a plop and splash.
"VIOLET!" The rest of them screamed. The alligator then pounced it's tail at them seeing as how he lost his first meal but now he had 4 other gnomes to eat. The 4 remaining ones scattered off in different directions and the alligator went after Vanessa, of course Vanessa wasn't running as fast until she saw he was coming for her instead of one of her brothers. At that she did triple time on her running.
"Why do animals always go for me!?" Vanessa cried aloud running faster. She came to a dead end at the end of the bank as the gator was still on her, she did what she had to and jumped down into the little gulch that went off into the river. She hide against the wall hoping the gator wouldn't see her, she saw it come over to the edge and loom over and not see her and then it walked away. She sighed in relief, but her trouble were not over yet. When she faced back to the river she saw a large mouth opened up to her.
"Aaaahhh!" She screamed super loudly. When the mouth closed she saw it belonged to a great big Hippo, who was looking at her dead on like she was a snack.
"Not good!" She whimpered. The hippo let out another big growl and Vanessa closed her eyes ready to be eaten, she squinted her eyes open but the hippo didn't move or was even looking to her. She looked up and saw that the hippo was not after her but that alligator who was above them snapping his jaws. The hippo stood tall at the gator and then there began this big animal fight between the 2 wrestling each other in the water, snapping and kicking around. Vanessa hid behind a wet rack so she would get in the mix of that.
"Vanessa!" She heard someone call her name, she looked over and her brothers were waving frantically at her from the other side. "Quick over here!" Tyler said.
Vanessa wasted no time and ran to the rock her siblings were behind and ran into jr.'s arms. "You alright sis!" Jr. asked.
"Yes!" She whimpered.
"Well now that that's over we have to find Violet and..." Jr. stopped in mid sentence and gasped. "VIOLET!" He shouted as he faced the river. He saw violet floating face down against the river current. He and his siblings ran along the shoreside following her unconscious body as it floated away.
"We have to get her back to shore!" Jake said.
"I'm going in to get her!" Jr. said taking off his boots.
"You can't do that, what's going to stop you from floating away too, the currents real strong and hard to fight against" Tyler said.
"I have to try!" He said. "I'm the oldest I have to look out for you guys!" He said.
"Hey what's Vanessa doing!?" Jake said looking to Vanessa who was tying a long, thick vine around a large boulder and running it in a straight line back towards them.
"Here boys take this!" She said handing them a piece of the vine as she ran it back to the water.
"What for!?" Tyler asked.
Vanessa tied the end of the vine to her waist in a tight double knot. Then walked to the water just as it crossed with the sandy land, she wasn't the strongest swimmer there was but she knew how to hold her breath for the longest time. She felt scared and terrified and was pretty sure what she was doing was nuts but she was doing it for her sister, as much as she hated Violet she was still family and family, especially in these types of situations, stick together.
She walked out into the water where it covered her feet but not enough to wash her away, she felt her heart skip a beat in fear, she was not brave but she knew what she was doing. She found a hint of courage in her, held her breath and like a pro swimmer dived right in getting pulled down by the depth for a moment.
"VANESSA!" Her brothers screamed as they all looked around for her, A second later she came popping back up gasping for breath and looking around till she saw her sister floating by.
"Vanessa! Vanessa what are you doing?!" Jake asked concerned.
Vanessa turned their way trying to stay atop the water "I know what I'm doing!" She yelled back. A wave came by and splashed her away but she kicked and clawed hard through the water to stay afloat.
"Vanessa get out of there it's too strong for you" Jr. screamed at her.
"No! I got this! Just hold the rope and don't let go!" She ordered them as she kept swimming against the currents to her sister. Waves kept coming up and splashing her down in the water making it harder for her to reach the middle of the river. Violet came floating by but the currents kept pushing Vanessa back to shore, Vanessa had to find the strength in her to push through the currents before she missed her chance. Another wave came by and slashed Vanessa underneath, but from there the water was calmer and sturdy, Vanessa looked up to the surface and she could see her sisters body flat right above her, Vanessa shot upwards to the surface while grabbing violet in her hands and wrapping around her.
"Don't worry Violet you'll be okay!" Vanessa said and tugged the vine for her brothers to pull them back. The vine suddenly snapped loose but Vanessa had fast reflexes and grabbed the vine as her brothers continued to pull her back to dry land. Once they were close enough Jr. and Tyler dragged both to shore as Vanessa gagged and coughed.
"Vanessa are you okay!?" Jr. said helping Vanessa stand up.
Vanessa coughed up water and then took in a few breaths. "Yes, I'm alright!"
Jr. smiled at him "That was pretty brave of you!"
"She's my sister I'm sure, she would've done the same for me!" Vanessa smiled. "It felt good coming out of my comfort zone for once!"
"Hey guys you might want to check on Violet!" Jake said. Jr. and Vanessa came over to Violet who was just lying there.
"Is she dead!?" Tyler asked.
Vanessa placed a hand on her chest, there was still a heartbeat. "Nope, just unconscious, Maybe someone should give her C.P.R!" Vanessa said. The boys all looked at each there and then both looked to jr.
"Who me? No way!?" Jr. refused.
"C'mon Jr. you're the oldest, you have to look out for her!" Jake mocked him.
Jr. glared at them and then got down to Violet. He opened her mouth and cringed, her breath wasn't bad but just the thought that he actually had to do this.
"Hey look on the bright side, this'll be your first kiss...with your own sister!" Tyler joked making them all laugh out loud.
Jr. glared at them and then looked to violet, then looked down to her chest "Someone needs to pump her chest if I'm going to do this!" Jr. explained. Vanessa kneeled down and offered to help him. Jr. Closed his eyes and started breathing in and out as Vanessa pushed hard on her chest. This went on for about 30 seconds until Violet started coughing up water.
They all stood up and looked her over as she opened her eyes. "WHAT ARE YOU ALL LOOKING AT!?" She suddenly snapped at them.
"Uhm..you!" Vanessa said.
Violet glared. "Well don't just look at me, help me up please!" She said as jr. helped her up.
"Are you alright?" Jr. said taking seaweed off her back.
Violet slapped him away from her "Keep your hands off me I don't need your help, Jerk!" She said ringing her hair dry.
"Yeah she's alright!" Tyler rolled her eyes.
"What the heck just happened!" Violet asked rubbing her head.
"You were unconscious and fell into the river..." Jr. said holding her arms. Violet glared at her and snatched her arms away.
"...And I saved your life!" Vanessa said smiling at her.
Violet frowned hard at her with a glare "So what are you so happy for!?" She said pushing past her.
Vanessa got confused "Aren't you going to thank me!" Vanessa said politely.
"For what!?" Violet asked like she was crazy.
"I just saved your life!" Vanessa said fidgeting with her fingers.
"Oh and I'm suppose to reward you for that!" She eyed her like she was crazy.
Vanessa glared. "At least you could say thank you!" She yelled at her.
Violet looked back and smirked at her sarcastically "You think I would...But I'm not going too!" She laughed smiling.
"But that's how you show appreciation to someone who just did you a big favor!"
"Appreciation is not in my nature...and even if it was I surely wouldn't waste it on you!"
Vanessa had no words to say how heartless Violet was being to her right now. "You know I didn't have to save your life!"
"Noone asked you too!" Violet said crossing her arms at her.
Vanessa crossed her arms and glared hard. "Noone had to asked me, I did it cause I'm your sister...You'd do the same for me right!?"
Violet looked at her like she was totally insane now "Me? Do something for you?!...Hahaha! You must've swallowed too much river water, Like I would ever do anything for you!" She laughed and then walked away.
"But I just saved your life!" Vanessa said feeling like crying.
"And when you're in danger I'll repay the favor...Oh wait...NO I WON'T!" Violet shouted at her and walked away.
The rest of them just stood there with open mouths and shocked faces that went beyond any level of shock. They knew how Violet was but that was just straight up cruel for her to say and to her own sister too.
"UN-BE-LEIVABLE!" Tyler said shaking his head.
"She's the worst!" Jake said.
Vanessa had never felt so hurt than she was feeling right now, she just risked her life to save her older sister and Violet didn't even have the courtesy to thank her for it. Violet must've really hated her that much and Vanessa didn't know why, she hated Violet back but she still loved her like a sister, cause Vanessa was just that kind of girl, but to hear her own sister say she wouldn't ever risk her life for her...Vanessa just broke down crying.
Jr. came over and helped her up. "Vanessa it's alright!" Jr. comforted her and Vanessa wrapped to his neck.
"What does she have against me! That's all I want to know, I've never even done anything to her and yet she hates me so much!" Vanessa cried.
"Oh don't worry Vanessa, you have us!" Jake said, holding his sisters hand.
"Yeah you don't need Violet!" Tyler said patting her shoulder.
"Yeah but she still my sister, I have to look up to her for sisterly advice but, I can't do that if she treats me so..." Vanessa couldn't find the good word to finish that sentence and just went back to crying on Jr. shoulder.
"You don't need Violet Vanessa you have Mum, grandma, aunt jazmin and your friends to look up to for girl advice!" Jake said
"That's true!" Vanessa said wiping a tear away.
"And if it makes you feel better, I spit in violets cereal every morning!" Jr. winked at her.
"Hahaha yeah that makes me feel better!" She laughed. "Thanks guys, nice to know I have some siblings looking out for me!"
"We'll always look out for you...even if Violet doesn't!" Jr. said to her. Vanessa smiled and hugged him. "Vanessa I'm not a Hugger!" Jr. demands as she backs away.
"Sorry!" She said whimpering.
"Oh what the heck, just this once!" Jr. said letting Vanessa hug him tightly.
"HEY!" They got interrupted by the sound of Violets voice who was already above them on higher jungle ground. "Stop hugging and lets go, you guys are so slow!" Violet said walking out of sight. The 4 remain gnomes shook their heads and glared at her so hard they could kill her.
"Jr. next time, can we just leave her to perish in whatever trouble she gets into!" Vanessa whispered to him.
"I would want nothing more than to do that...but you know we can't!" He sighed. "But still a guy can dream!"
"DID YOU ALL HEAR ME I SAID LET GO!" Violet yelled coming back glaring at them, more Vanessa though.
"PUT A SOCK IN IT, WERE COMING!" Jr. yelled back as the rest of them walked back up the bankside to where Violet was.
"Good now lets go!?" Violet said, leading them away again.
"HAULT!" She said putting up her hands as they all stopped.
"Why are we stopping?" Jr. said annoyed.
"Because I felt like it that's why?" She snapped, Jr. gave her a dead glare. "Any who, I think it's time we took a break for now" She said leaning over a rock to rest.
"Jr. I'm getting hot and the sun's in my way" She said blocking her hand from the sun.
"So!?" He crossed his arms uncaring.
Violet turned to him with a glare. "So?!...Come over here and stand in the sunlight to shade me, duh!" She made a cross eyed face for crazy.
Jr. looked to her like she was crazy "Or.. you could move from the sun to a shady place" Jr. said pointing out the obvious.
"I could...but I don't feel like getting up" She said all prissy like. "Besides I'm the leader now not you so do what I said and come over here!"
"You can't make me, do anything for you. I'm older than you just because I et you be in charge doesn't mean you can boss me around" Jr. said.
Violet mad a mad frown to him and then a smirk. "Alright here's what I'll do...Every second you aren't over here I'm gonna start making annoying sounds to irritate you with" She tells him
Jr. chuckled "Good luck with that, the sound of your voice is the most irritating thing to me from you" He said with a smirk back to her. Violet started making all these weird noises that was not irritating Jr. but annoying the others.
"Jr. just do what she want this one time if not for her, do it for us please" Vanessa begged holding her ears.
"I can't listen to this much longer...JR!" they all huffed
Jr. rolled his eyes and grunted. "FINE!" He said trudging over to violet and standing in the sun to shade her.
"That's better" She said with a happy sigh relaxing again. "Jr. I'm hot now" She said to him.
"And I should care because" He said even more uncaring than before.
"Because I want you to make me cooler" She snapped.
"And how pre-tell do you expect me to do that?" He lowered his eyes to her in annoyance.
Violet looked to her side and bent down over the rock picking something up. "Here!" She tossed a big leaf to Jr. "Take that leaf and fan me with it"
Jr. Finally got upset by that "Ok if you think I'm gonna act as your slaves and tend to your every beck and call you obviously have another thing coming you little..." Violet cut him off right at the end.
"Uh-uh, less talk, more fan" She demands. Jr. being the mature one here wasn't going to waste his breath on his spoiled bratty little sister. He rolled his eyes and started fanning her slowly glaring hard at her.
"Perfect" She smiled. "If I had my camera I would savor this moment and show it to everyone back home of my big brother being my servant"
"If I had a rope I would choke you with it" Jr. utterd in anger.
"What did you say?" Violet yelled to him.
"Nothing!" He said all inncocnet like
"That's what I thought...and fan faster I'm sweating here" She demands as he goes a bit faster. She looked over her shoulder and saw Jake Tyler and Vanessa all laid down in the grass
"Hey what are you all doing?" Violet said sitting upright on her rock.
"Resting, what's it look like" Jake said to her with his eyes closed.
Violet grabbed 3 pincones and threw them at the others. "OUCH! Hey!" They all said in pain.
"I didn't say you could all rest" She said crossing her arms.
"You just said we were taking a break" Vanessa said.
"No, I said I wanted to take a break, I never said anything about you all" She snapped. "You don't see Jr. taking a break do you?" She looked to Jr. who was slowly fanning her at turtle speed, she hit him with a pinecone too and he picked up speed again.
"So what?" Tyler said
"I need you all to do things for me" She tells them
"Like?" Tyler asked.
She thought for a moment and looked to Tyler and Jake "You 2 go and fetch me a snack, I'm hungry"
"A snack!?" Jake said confused.
"You know, something to fill my stomach duh" She said making a funny face at them.
"Where do we get a snack in the middle of the jungle?" Jake looked to Tyler who shrugged.
"How should I know, take an apple from a tree, steal a banana from a monkey, pick berries from a bush, Grow a mango tree from a seed. Just get me a snack right now!" She said annoyed.
"You can't make us do that!" Tyler said with a mad tone
"Yeah just because Jr. is a push-over doesn't mean we are" Jake stood up to her as well.
"HEY!?" Jr. snapped.
Violet glared to them hard. "Well then, would you rather get me a snack or get punched in the head" She threatened putting up her fist.
"That doesn't scare us that much" Jake said with a smirk, not fearing violet right now.
Violet picked up a stone no bigger than her palm and threw it in a diagonal position, it shoot like a bullet over Tyler and Jake's heads and into tree leaves. There was a terrible squawking noise as a bird flew from outta the tree and fell to the ground right beside the 2 brothers, It had the rock violet threw lodged in it stomach, Tyler kicked it but it was out-cold, or dead, either way it was they were both terrified now. They turned back to violet who was showing an evil smirk. "How about now! Do I scare you now?" She said cracking her knuckles.
Tyler and Jake shivered."O-one snack coming right up, heh l-l-let's go Jake" Tyler studded puling Jake backwards as they speed walk away in terror.
"And no pineapples I hate the taste of those things" She called back to them and went back to resting in peace.
Tyler walked in slow motion cursing under his breath till he was way from violet's hearing area. "We should've followed Jr.'s lead" Tyler huffed.
"Totally" Jake said in anger.
Violet turned her head and looked to Vanessa who was standing next to Jr. a little. "Vanessa you can go find me a cold drink" Violet demands.
Vanessa glares with her hands on her hips. "Where do you expect me to find a cold drink in the jungle?"
"Find a fruit and sqeeze the juice from it, Crack open a coconut, I don't care what you do just get me something to drink, before I hurt you" She threatends vanessa now.
Vanessa, not even tryign to fight back with her looks around for a place where there might be something to drink like water. She walks all around but finds nothing, but was too afraid to stop looking for fear of what violet would do, then she heard a sound like rushing water.
"Water, perfect!" She followed the sound through a patch of leaves and saw that the water sound was coming from a waterfall that ran down a tall cliffside and then into a thin creek/river. But Vanessa focused more on what was around the waterfall, a whole small cove filled with bushes of beautiful flowers and sparkling, clear, refreshing water that glimmered in the sun like diamonds. The water surface itself was bejewled with hundres of lillypad and flowers that swirled around, She also spotted in the water tiny little ocean life, small fish, a few starfish and even seashells, the waterfall caught the unbeans rolling down on it and made a sudden rainbow appered over her head, butterflys and tropical birds, toucans and parrots flew around her head giving her more enjoyment. There was brightness and beauty everywhere she looked, she felt so at peace right now. It had only been a short time but Vanessa had felt like she being surrouded in this place she waas in her own place of harmony, a place where nothing bad would ever happen, someplace she felt at pure peace.
"This is Gorgeous" She smiled walking further into it till her toes hit the shallow brisk waters. Being surrounded by all this pretty nature and happiness she felt like she could never be upset again, That is until...
"VANESSA!" She was caught off by the yelling howl of her ferocious sister. "WHAT'S TAKING YOU SO LONG YOU PATHETIC WASTE!" She called back
"Oh right, violet I forgot" She said snapping outta her happy place. "COMING!" She yelled as loud as she could, she took one last look at her paradise before she went sprinting back to where her siblings were all gathered.
"It's about time you got back here!" Violet snapped. "And where's my drink?" She said angrier.
"I don't have it" She panted catching her breath.
Violet slaps her head. "Vanessa I sent you to do a simple task and you can't even handle that, Serves me right for sending the unless one out" Violet said angry at herself and Vanessa even more.
"But I found something you all have got to see" She said excitedly.
"If it's something you like, it'll be something I hate" Violet said.
"No it's really great just come see please guys" She begged them.
"No time we have to be leaving anyway" Violet pushed her along.
"Come on please" She said hopping from her sister.
"Violets right sis,we should go" Jr. tells her.
Vanessa gave a huff. "Fine I'll just go myself" She said turning back where she came. "Hope you all have fun doing what violet says" She said to her brothers.
"Yeah go on and disappear on us like you always do. I won't miss you having you around. Good luck surviving any more even beasts you happen to encounter" Violet said turning the opposite way from Vanessa.
"As for the rest of you, let's go in case I need to boss you around some more...and I will!" She laughed evilly.
They all paused for a moment. "Nessa wait up!" Jake called after her.
"Don't leave without me!" Jr. called as well.
"Guys wait up!" Tyler said following,
"HEY! where do you idiots think your going, I'm still in charge here not Vanessa, she couldn't even lead herself out of a paper bag" Violet said, she looked at her siblings walking away and leaving her all alone. "Yeah, ok guys at least wait for me" She said going after them.
"Vanessa where are we going?" Jake asked.
"Just a few more paces and were almost there"
"Almost where?" Jr. asked
"This" She pulled back the leaves so ehr brothers could get a view of the place she had found moments ago.
"WHOA!" The boys gasped in awe.
"I know right" Vanessa giggled
"This place...It's.,.it's" Jr. tried to find the words for it.
"outstanding isn't it" Tyler muttered to him
"Yeah it is" Jake said slowly walking around.
"Funny, I'm starting to feel a lot happier now, and feelings I haven't felt before" Jr. said smiling like he was in love.
"It's this place, all this beauty and peace, makes you so tranquil and calm" Vanessa said taking it all in in one big breath. "It kinda let's out your inner peace and harmony"
"Yeah guys thanks for waiting up for me, how hard is it too" Violet was going off until she got a hit by the place they were in and stopped.
"Whoa what it this place" She said looking around.
"Heaven!" Tyler said lying in the cool grass.
"This place is too happy and cheerful too me" Violet hissed. "Not to mention it's...it's...It's so peaceful and lovely here" she soon went into a sate of peace like all the res t of them did.
Jr. and Vanessa looked to her and chuckled "It even tames the most evil spirits into happiness" Jr. said gawking at violet, who seemed more happy now.
"This place is almost too good to leave"
"Why don't we stay here a while and enjoy it then" Vanessa said walking knee high into the water splashing her siblings with the cold H2O from the shore.
They all looked to Jr. with big puppy dog eyes. "I don't see why not!" Jr. said.
"Alright everybody in!" Tyler announced as they all ran in with Vanessa and splashed each other like playful kids do.
That whole time they went exploring their peaceful land, they swam, they climbed up the waterfall cliff looking below, they explored the little cove hidden beneath it and relaxed in the hot springs as well. None of them had even been more happy with each other than they were right at that spot.
"Hey guys watch this!" Jr. called from atop the waterfall all his siblings looked up at him and he jumped over the edge did a few flips and spins and plucked into the water in a head first spin.
"Awesome bro" Vanessa applauded and whistled. "look at these seashells I made into a headband" Vanessa showed off her seashell headband putting it on her head.
"Thanks for showing us this place Nessa" Jr, said plopping back up from the water.
"Yeah I've never been this relaxed before" Violet admits being pushed away by the water.
"I could stay here forever" Tyler said resting into he grass once more.
"Forever and ever" Jake mutters sighing beside him
"We should give this place a name, you know since we found it" Vanessa said with a giggle.
"What do you want to name it?" Tyler said sitting upright.
"Vanessa should pick the name" Violet said.
"Me?" Vanessa asked.
"You found it before we did, this was your place first, you name it whatever you want" Violet said with a smile. She was truly being nice to Vanessa for the first time in history the others were too stunned to even react the right way.
"Gosh vi, that's so nice of you" Vanessa said.
"This place brought out the nice in me" She smiled splashing in the water. "So what's it gonna be sis?"
"How about Tranquil haven cove, that describes how this place makes us all feel" She said happily.
"I can see that, makes good sense" Tyler said.
"Then it settled that's what we call this place" Vanessa aid happily.
"Wanna make it official" Jake handed her a white leaf with a stick poked through it. Vanessa giggled and took the flag. "I hear by claim this place Tranquil haven cove" She stuck the flag stick in the ground as a flag to claim their land.
"Here, here!" They all chant and soon start laughing.
"OUCH!" Violet screamed the rest of then turned around.
"What happened!?" Jr. asked
"I cut my foot on a sharp stick or rock or something!" Violet held her arm out as blood dripped out.
"Can you stand up!"
"NO!" Violet snapped not even trying. "I can't walk it hurts too bad!" She said holding it.
"Maybe you should soak your foot in the water" Vanessa said. Jr. picked up Violet bride style and set her at the edge of the ground.
"Now put your foot in see if that helps Violet" Vanessa said. Violet slowly dipped her big toe in and then all the way to her calf.
The water was cool and refreshing "Oh yeah that feels nice" Violet sighed happily slashing her foot around "The cool/warm mix is really helping" She smiled.
Just then the water started sparkling and shimmering like magic, it swirled around violets foot for a few seconds and then vanished and died down.
"What just happened?" Jake asked.
"Hey my foot is all better, look no blood, no cut, no nothing" She held up her foot and wiggled her toes.
"This water must be magical to heal wounds" Jr. said
"Not just that this whole place has a magical sense to it, like you can just feel it" Vanessa said looking into her beautiful surroundings as did the others.
"I really wish we could stay here forever!" Tyler sighed with joy.
"Me too!" The rest of them said. "I just never want this day to end!"
"Well like all good things they have to come to an end?" Jr. said looking grim.
"What!?" They all said. "Pleas don't make us go Jr." Vanessa begged.
"Yeah for once I don't feel the need to punch and kick and be aggressive. And I like it" Violet confessed.
"Don't you guys wanna get back home to mum and dad and all our friends. An just think how heartbroken mum is without us, she loves us more than anyone does" Jr. said stating the sad reality of it.
"I miss mum and dad too" Violet said whimpering a little.
"Jr. right we need to leave" Jake said with a frown. "No matter how much I don't wanna leave this place" He whined.
"Before we do let's just take another second taking this all in" Vanessa said, they all slowly walked taking in their perfect tranquil environment as long as they could.
"Farewell Tranquil haven cove" Jake sighed.
"Maybe we shall return someday" Tyler said.
"But not someday soon" Violet said with a frown.
"Parting is such sweet sorrow" Vanessa recited a line from a classic Shakespeare play. (can anyone guess which one?)
As soon as they left the cove their real personalities came back to them in a finger snap.
"Alright guys we got to make up for lost time. Let's keep moving" Jr. had come back to his responsible, older brother personality.
"Not so fast I'm still in charge hear and I get to lead us out" Violet snapped, she was back to her old bossy self.
Jr. rolled his eyes. "Fine then leader" Jr. stepped aside. "Go ahead, lead us" He said.
"Out of my way you miserable losers" Violet said shoving her way to the front, Vanessa fell in the mud when violet pushed her and got a small cut on her arm.
"You alright" Jr. picked her up. Vanessa nodded and sighed.
"We are definitely not in our peaceful place anymore" She said looking back at the little view of their peaceful place she could still see.
Violet walked them a short distance and then some till they all wouldn't stop complaining.
"Violet we've been walking forever where are we going?" Vanessa complained tired of walking.
"Vanessa shut up, I'm trying to concentrate" Violet said back as annoyed as she was.
"Just admit we're lost, even more than before" Jr. grunted.
"We are not I know exactly where we're going, don't question me" Violet snapped. She lead them in a few circles and back the way the came for hours and they barely got anywhere in the few short hours they had walked. They walked and walked till it was too dark to even see their own hands. Violet still leading them all was the first one to stop and pout.
"Well it's official, I have no clue where we are now" Violet. said stopping and crossing his arms in anger.
"Well I can't say this has been the best of days for any of us" Jr. sighed next to her.
"But it probably couldn't get any worst than this!" Vanessa sighed as she tyler and jake made it to the others.
And then, as if things weren't bad enough, there was a crack of thunder and then it started to pour rain.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Violet screamed into the sky in total anger.
"I just wanna go back home!" Vanessa cried sobbing into her hands.
"We're all doomed to perish out here the rest of our lives" Jake said dramatically as Tyler was just freaking out. Jr. shook hos head and let out a whistle making them all stop. He had a sad look on his face and not really much else, he walked over to Vanessa and patted her back for comfort.
"Come on guys let's get outta this rain!" Jr. said in an upset voice. They all seek shelter underneath a large leaf that acted as their umbrella.
"I'm wet, freezing, starving and extremely unhappy right now" Violet said gritting through her teeth.
"Quit complaining violet, we're all depressed" Jr. sighed. "You talking about it ain't exactly putting a bright side on this" He glared with more sarcasm.
"There is no bright side to anything that has happened to us!" She sneered.
"And it only took you this long to figure that out" Tyler mutter under his breath.
"Oh come on guys look at it this way..." Vanessa sad trying to cheer them up but violet got in her way as usual.
"You know what Vanessa I have had about enough of you. All day long you've been trying to see the bright side of everything from the moment we got stuck in here. Not every bad situation has a good side to it but you won't let that go and see it, but then of course you been chased by tigers and kidnapped by wild monkey since we got here, you've been in more badness than we have but you know what, just face the fact that there is no bright side. face it we're all gonna die out here and you're probably gonna be the first one of us to go, I hope!" Violet snapped. No sooner than she did that Vanessa cry aloud and throwing a fit.
"Oh thanks violet this is so much better" Tyler said with sarcasm, covering his ears from Vanessa crying.
"Oh grow up Vanessa you're 16, start acting your own age!" Violet snapped to her wimpy sister who just kept crying.
"You ever thought, she acts like a baby because you treat her like one!" Jr. said.
"What?" Violet glared looking at him.
"All her life you've been trying to act like the tougher one and picking on her has only made her softer and less tough than us. If you would show her a little respect she'd change"
"Show respect to a baby like her pfft, fat chance of that happening" Violet scoffed.
"See Violet that's what I'm talking about, you're her older sister, Vanessa probably has to look up to you but she can't do that becasue all the fear you put on her by torturing and upsetting her everyday of her life. She's your sister Violet you better start acting like hers" Jr. said to her. Violet just rolled her eyes.
"You're one to talk, Mr. aggressive. You do the same thing to me what I do to violet"
"What are you talking about?" Jr. said.
"You've picked on me my whole life ever since we were young and now you're getting mad at me for doing it to Vanessa" Violet argued back.
"That's different, you have reasons for me to pick on you, you're rude, selfish, care for no one but yourself and just plain cruel" Jr. poked her in the chest hard.
"Reason or not. You still torture me all the time, and that where I get it from. All those torturing's you put on me you put on Vanessa, you torture me and I go right on and torture Vanessa, everything you do to me I do to her. So in a way you're responsible for causing both your sisters grief, who's the heartless one now!" Violet snapped.
"You know I have half a mind to hurt you right now" Jr. yelled at her.
"Go ahead I dare you!"
"But I'm gonna cause it's not worth it" He said turning the other way.
"That is so like you Jr. you're weak, dad would be very disappointed in you" Violet teased him.
That really sent Jr. over his rage meter. He turned to her with fire in his eyes "Alright you've had this coming for years now!" Jr. and Violet practically threw themselves at each other and began brutally hitting and punching the other. They were both equally matched but that wasn't stopping them from throwing the next blow.
Vanessa stopped crying and looked over to her older siblings bickering like they always do. Tyler was slowly rocking himself back and forth mumbling to himself like a child. Ever since they got lost in here they had completely torn each other apart every minuet. Vanessa was the only one who still tried to keep it together for their sake's but it was really hard to do when all she ever did in the end was cower in fear of violet and take every little insult and torture she threw her way. It seemed like they would be this way forever and there was nothing any of them could do about it. They would never get home or see anyone they cared for again, all their hope was pretty much lost after that. That's when she started to curl up and cry again.
She heard a grunting noise and then looked over her shoulder to see Jake on his knees in the dirt. She heard him muttering but couldn't make out exactly what he was saying. But she was more curious a to what he was doing.
She got so confused "Jake what are you doing?" Vanessa said looking to her younger brother digging a patch in the dirt.
"What does it look like I'm doing...I'm building us a house outta mud and sticks and stones, because now we all have to live here for the rest of our lives" He said facing her with a mad glare. Then turning back to what he was doing.
"Here?!" Vanessa mumbled to him. "Forever!" She quivered.
"That's right for the rest of our lives, we're all gonna be stuck here for each other, my least favorite people I know" He said in anger.
"And you're just gonna build us a house from the dirt?" She asked.
"Yeah don't you see, this can be our bedroom...and this is my bed" He said spreading out over a large curved moss covered rock, turning his back away from the others. "That can be your bed over there Vanessa!" Jake said pointing to a rock opposite of his.
"I DON'T WANNA SLEEP ON A ROCK FOREVER AAAHHH!" Vanessa cried in anguish and then buried her hands in her head and fell to the floor crying and weeping aloud.
Meanwhile Violet and Jr. were still rolling around wrestling on the ground until Jr. finally got a hold over his sister.
"Uhg! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Violet kicked and screamed under her brother holding her down, he always was stronger than she was.
"I'm not gonna sit here and fight with you Violet!" Jr. said pinning her down.
"Oh yeah of course your not, cause you know I'm gonna kill you!" She muttered.
Jr. pushed her further on the dirt and got off of her "No cause I'm gonna make things worst than they already are thanks to you!" He snapped.
"Me!?"
"Yes you If you hadn't left the garden we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place" Tyler said.
"Mind your own business Tyler!" She warned him. "And I didn't ask you guys to come after me, I told you I was leaving but you all had to stop me, you brought this all on yourselves" She snapped back
"You know what Violet you..." Tyler went on to say but Jr. cut in.
"No Tyler..she's right!" Jr. said low and calmly. "She's right, we did bring this all on ourselves, if we had just let you run off like you wanted we would all still be back at home, with mum and dad and all our friends while you were off who knows where, doing who knows what. I didn't see why I didn't just go back from the start, without you around I could've had one less pain off my shoulders the rest of my life, But no, I had to be a responsible brother and go after my childish kid sister. Now we're miles away from home and never gonna see anyone we care about ever again...So once again thanks for ruining our lives Violet, just like everyday" Jr. snapped.
"Is that really how you feel?"
"That's how I feel about all of you, ever since the day you came into my life". "Before you all I had a simple happy life, and I didn't have to worry about a single thing, but all that changed as soon as you all arrived" He sighed in a huff
"I don't see what you're so angry about?" Tyler glared.
"Yeah you're the oldest, you get whatever you want and mum and dad do whatever you say you have the easy life compared to us" Violet snapped
Jr. looked at her shocked and angry "I have the easy life...I HAVE THE EASY LIFE!" He yelled. "You think It's easy having to take on the responsibility of watching over a bunch of obnoxious, arrogant, siblings that I didn't even want in the first place!" He announced in a loud yell.
Gaps were heard from the 4 of them. "You didn't want us Jr." Vanessa whispered overhearing them all yelling.
"No not really!" Jr. admitted "Because ever since the day violet was born I had to take my life and waste it watching over her and then mum and dad decided to have more, as if that wasn't bad enough and my whole life since then had been nothing but having to watch over you all, when I could be doing what I want and not involving any of you in it" He snapped.
"Well no one said you had to take on responsibility over us!" Violet snapped.
"Yeah, we don't need you to act like you know what's best for us we can do our own things!" Jake said getting mad as well.
Jr. rolled his eyes. "Oh please without me, you'd all be helpless without me!" Jr. said.
"Oh like it's so easy being your little siblings" Tyler said harshly.
"Yeah being related to you is no cake walk either. Mum and dad are always ditching us with you all the time and we can never do anything we want without you watching over our every move, we're as annoyed at being watched by you as you are having to watch us!" Jake said.
"Yeah what jake said" Violet snapped getting off the ground.
"Oh cram it violet you're the one with the least to say. You gotta us all into this mess" Tyler yelled to her.
"You know what else I can get you into Tyler...A hospital!" She said running to him. Jr. yanked her arm and pushed her back to the ground.
"Violet we all had to put up with your rotten behavior our entire lives, and it's caused us all nothing but trouble and now because of you look where we are" Jr. pointed to the world around him. "If it wasn't for you none of this would be happening, you just don't care for anyone no matter how bad you hurt them or anything, if anything happened to even the people closet to you, you wouldn't care one way or the other."
"That's not true! I do care, I just have a funny way of showing it" She debates.
"Torturing us every minuet of our lives is how you shows us you care" Vanessa called to her.
Violet glared. "Except for you, I torture you for the enjoyment of it, and you won't do a thing about it cause you're just a weak, useless, good for nothing, pathetic excuse for a sister!" She said harshly cracking her fists at Vanessa who once again cried aloud.
"You are the worst sister ever!" Vanessa cried crawling underneath a dark corner.
"You really are Violet" Jr. said walking away from her.
"Oh what no more yelling, c'mon Jr. I thought you were better than this"
"I'm not wasting my breath on an ungrateful gnome such as yourself" He said upset. "In fact.. I'm never gonna speak to you again, ever!"
"You don't mean that!" Violet snickered not taking him seriously. Jr didn't even respond to that. "Jr.?" Violet looked to him, he said nothing else.
"Jr. come on you can't not talk to me anymore I'm your sister, you're going to have to talk to me at some point" She said.
"You're not my sister anymore!" He said harshly to her.
"What?!" She said shocked.
"I want nothing more to do with you, I never even wanted a sister in the first place, needless to say I got stuck with a terrible one like you. Why should I even have the nerve to call you my sister at all, When I didn't even care for you from the start. If you want to be bitter and ruthless all your life go ahead because as far as I'm concerned for you now, you and I are not related in any way from now on" He got closer to her and spilled out every one in anger.
Violet couldn't believe what he just said to her. "Jr." She said in a low tone. "That really hurt" She said sadly.
"I don't care, not for you nor how you feel" He said back. Violet just stood there with her hands over her mouth, she knew she and Jr. pushed each other over the edge every now and then but she never thought he'd go as far as to not want to have her as his own sister. For the first time in her life Violet actually felt hurt and upset by something her brother did to her.
"Jr. you can't mean that" Violet reached for his arm, he pushed her away.
He reached for her dress collar and puled her off the ground to his face "Yes I do" He held her almost choking her and let her drop to the floor. She gasped a little and was almost on the verge of crying.
"So do I" Tyler said standing next to Jr.
"And me" Jake said too, from his rock bed. "Violet you've been mean to us for our whole lives. It's not that we don't care for you, but...it doesn't seem fair to care for you if you don't care for us"
"I never said I didn't care you guys" She said getting ready to cry. "I'm sorry if I ever hurt you all too much, but you can't blame me that's just who I am, you can't be mad at me for being who I am" She said even more hurt and angry.
"I'm not mad at you for being who you are Vi" Jr. said softly. "I'm mad at you for being who you chose to be. If you weren't so cruel I would have nothing to be mad at you for, but I can't stand being related to someone who cares for no one but themselves"
"Then how do you stand yourself" Violet muttered in anger. Jr. pushed her down in the dirt after hearing that.
"That's the reason we all hate you" Jake yelled to her hearing what she said too. "You have no respect for us, why should we respect you" Tyler said.
"I'm still part of our family" Violet tells them.
"Not to us you're not!" Jr. said. "
"What about Vanessa, you guys get sick of her too, you told me yourselves" Violet said.
"Don't bring Vanessa into your problems" Jr. said.
"Yeah we like her more than we like more, a lot more." Jake called still on his rock
"She might be a pain too, but at least she's the one thing you aren't...Loved" Tyler said. Violet gasped, how could they say she wasn't loved, she knew her parents loved her, at least she thought they did, but her siblings love is what she wanted more because if they loved her then she knew she'd always have them to watch her back, even when she didn't deserve it.
"Besides Vanessa's always hated you, with all the crap she's had to put up with you I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't hate you as much as we all do" He said back.
"Face it Violet, none of us want anything to do with you, anymore!" Jr. glared walking away from her.
Violet was torn just like that, her own siblings had turned against her, she knew she was trouble for them but she never thought they'd just turn on her as bad as they did. "But..." She started to say.
"BUT WHAT VIOLET!" He yelled to her.
Violet started out crying but then gave them all a horrible dead stare. "Oh forget it...I don't want anything to do with you guys anymore and on top of that I'm not speaking to any of you again...EVER!" Violet yelled curling in a ball to herself.
The boys all looked at each other and then glared deeply "Well prepare yourself for a long silence sister, cause we're all going to be stuck here forever thanks to you. At least I got me a bed to sleep in!" Jake yelled going back to his rock bed and lying down facing away from his siblings.
While the others were scattered and facing away from each other, Vanessa walked off quietly to be alone in case they started fighting again, she knew they wouldn't notice she had left for a long time, all her life she was seen to them as the invisible child, and for once that came in advantage to her. She walked until she hit a high cliff that looked out over the jungle river and into a part where the river ran right into the ocean. She sat on the edge dangling her feet around in mid air and looked into the sky as all the stars twinkled and glimmered under the moonlights reflection in the water that danced around and gave Vanessa that happy feeling when she was down. She had always dreamed of doing this with her family with all of them just being happy together but this was not what she wanted at all. Looking down into the water she envisioned all the happy moments from her past that she had shared over the years with her loved ones, as she remembered the visions papered onto the water surface;
There was a memory of her and her mum when she was a baby and Juliet was singing to her whilst cradling her in her arms signing how they'd always be there for each other.
"My precious little nessa, You're the sweetest thing ever, I hope you'll always be this way your whole life" Juliet said to her infant self continuing to sing her a soft love song.
Then came another flashback of her and gnomeo a few years older, when she was just learning to toddle, she and gnomeo were there as gnomeo was twirling her around in the air on a crisp autumn day and he let her fly into a pile of leaves as she giggled and then that changed into them both decorating trees for the holiday seasons, cuddling and kissing under the warm fireplace her and telling her how she always had to be brave and fearless. Gnomeo was definitely the male role model in her life.
"Daddy you're the best daddy ever!" She cooed in her baby voice.
"And you're my special little girl and always will be" Gnomeo cooed back cradling her with fatherly love.
There was a brief flashback of Vanessa with her grandparents, making cookies with lady bluebury and/or watching the clouds in the sky with lord redbrick.
She remembered the first time she had gotten her first crush on Benzin when they were 9 yrs. old and they were dancing around at her birthday party and Benzin had stood up to violet for her after making her cry. She had always found Benzin attractive since then. Also of all the times she had done fancy makeovers with London, Fuscia and Scarlett, and expressing her girly girl side.
The last flashback was a clip of all the fun times she had shared with her all 8 of her siblings, even of violet if you can believe. The last clip there was a pretty recent flashback of Her, Jr. Violet, Tyler, Jake, Kelly, Juno and Bruno and baby Autumn all cuddling in a group as Jr. read them a novel they all enjoyed listening too and they all laughed and grouped closer as the flashback ended.
Looking back at all those moments Vanessa was always reminded how good she had it back in the garden surrounded by all those who she'd loved and who loved her right back and now she feared she'd never get to have them again, not unless they could find a way back cradled her knees to her chest and sobbed again as tears dropped from the cliff to the water.
She couldn't go back to where her sibling were fear they might be fighting again. She walked around the area and found a small cave to sleep in, it was dark moist and it smelled awful and was crawling with bugs, but it was still better than being around her siblings right now. Vanessa made herself a little fire and covered herself with a big leaf and some tree bark and fell asleep.
"My one wish is to wake up back home safe and sound where everything is as it should be" She said as a tear dropped from her face.
She was not the only one feeling this way her siblings probably didn't want to admit it right then but they were all torn up inside feeling such great deals of sorrow and pain and helplessness. They were all alone out there with just one another to look to for support, but now that neither of them were on speaking terms with any other it was just every gnome for themselves at the moment. They all wished for nothing more than to go but home with all their loved ones and to just be where they knew they were safe and secure surrounded by people they actually enjoyed the company of, but they had all pretty much given up hope for that and now they were just wishing that they could at least see their mum and dad one last time, the parents who made them who they were now. To have Juliet smother them with all her never ending motherly love, to have Gnomeo teach them, carry them through life and protect them all. But they all sighed knowing the chances of that coming to life were about 0-none.
But little did they all know that somewhere in that very same jungle, but not as far away as you'd think, the proud and concerned parents were at the same time looking into the clear starry skies relaxing by a warm fire they made for themselves.
Gnomeo had his head rested on a long and Juliet was snuggled on top of him looking halfway into the sky with a sad forlorn face.
"It's a beautiful starry night, You know if you make a wish it might come true"
Juliet turned sideways, away from the sky and looked towards the dirt "All the wishes in the world won't bring back what we've lost" She said to him as a tear rolled down her cheek thinking of her children.
Gnomeo wrapped around her and stroked her face "Hey come now we'll find them. I have a feeling they're closer than we think" He whispered in her ears.
They both snuggled closely
"Hey look those stars make pictures that look just like our kids"
"What are stars compared to the real thing!" Juliet huffed in anger. "I'm beginning to lose hope that we'll ever find them out here...for all we know they could have easily perished out here" She said breaking down in her faith now.
Gnomeo turned her to face him and looked at her with a deep serious look "Juliet look at me and listen well...we will find them, I know it looks bleak right now you have to be strong and know hard enough that we will find them"
Juliet looked away not feeling very confident about herself right now "But-" She tried to say.
"But nothing!" Gnomeo butted in "Juliet you're their mother and mothers will do whatever it takes no matter how difficult and broken down things get to ensure the safety of their children. The thing you need to be asking yourself is; Are you that strong a mother?" He threw at her.
Her husbands words really spoke to her, was she that type of mother? she was brave, strong and smart enough just the way she taught her children to be. Juliet suddenly felt a sudden rush that came over her and then she blurted out with a serious face "Yes, Yes I am!" She said with power and confidence. "I am that type of mother, and Nothing is going to stop me from getting my kids back!"
Gnomeo clapped his hands a little for her "There's the Juliet I know!" He smiled kissing her lovingly as she held his cheek to kiss him back.
She grinned at him and then looked away a bit frowning "You really think we'll find them?" She asked looking into his blue eyes.
He smiled and kiss her lips once more before she rested back down on his body and the snuggled closer "We have too Juliet!" He said looking up into the night sky filed with twinkling lights "We have too"
Will the kids ever make up? Do you think they'll be found? and who will find who? only time will tell, but also if you want to know the answers just keep reading the chapters. Of course the next chapter won't be for a while so like I previously said only time can tell you guys hahaha.
