Chapter 22

a/n: I just read my latest update the chapter 21 XD it is full of typo error i'm sorry guys. I'm not just used to edit my work I just write and post it whenever I have a chance. Sorry again.

PAIGE POV

The dinner with the fields and Spencer was really great. Pam needs to go to work so she already left after the dinner.

"Paige what's your plan for tomorrow?" Emily asked then she lay down on her bed. I'm sitting on her window seat and Spencer is sitting on the bed leaning on the headboard.

"Yeah McCullers, I didn't have any clue on what are you're plan for the fundraising." Spencer said then she looked at me. I blushed when she address me with my last name. I find it special I don't know if it is weird for me to feel that.

"Well I will be singing that's the only thing I know and I'm sure that I won't make myself a fool on that Field"

I'm not that confident in my singing talent but on our way here to the Fields. Spencer said that I'm really good at that and her statement really boosts my ego. She also suggests that I should help her arrange the program for the upcoming prom. I promise that I will accept it in one condition

"That is why I saw you sleeping with your guitar this morning" Emily said then she sit up and sit beside Spencer.

"Yeah I'm practicing and I guess I just fell as sleep" Then I looked outside. I'm really excited to for tomorrow. Dad promised that he will attend for tomorrow's event and he want to see me upstage. I'm also excited because the song I'm going to sing is just for one particular person and I hope I can make her see that.

Spencer can't look anywhere but on the book she is reading she can feel that Paige is looking at her. She is not that numb for her not to feel the other girl. She now that the game the three of them is really dangerous and she knows that one of them will surely get hurt. She knew the entire after math of this actions but she can't help but fall for the girl looking at her intensely across the room. She knows the right thing to do but she always falls on the gravity of Paige McCullers.

"It's getting late Em I need to head home" Spencer said then I stand up too.

"Yeah Em it's getting late, so see you tomorrow Fie...Emily" I say then start to walk towards the door.

"Yeah sure I'll walk both of you to the door" Emily said

"No Em your tired just sleep now we know our way" Then I smiled at her then pushed her so she is now lying on her bed. I also put the comforter on her body then pat the top of her head. She is about to protest but I put my finger on her lips to stop her from talking.

"Don't argue Em I know you're dog tired with all of your activities, so sleep I need you tomorrow to cheer for me" Then I winked at her.

"So good night Em" Then I turn off the light on her room.

"Let's go home Hastings, I will walk you home" I said then I raise my hand to stop Spencer from arguing I know that she will complain.

"No I will walk you home it's already late and besides it's just a few blocks away from my house." Then I give her my biggest smile. This day really went pretty good. I wonder when the payback time is. Every time that something good happens to me, something bad will came up next. But that is not what important right now. All I care in this moment is the chance I have to spend with this beautiful girl standing in front of me.

"Let's go?" She nods then I open the door for her. When we're outside I can still feel the cold breeze through my thick hoodie.

"It's really cold out here" I say then Spencer stops on her tracks. So I turn to look at her.

"Did you forget something?" I asked then I saw that she is removing her gloves

She grabbed my hand then put it on my left hand then to my right. It is really warm but it is nothing compare to the heat that I felt when she hold my wrist when she brought up my hands. I just stare at her while she is putting the gloves on my hands.

"Still feeling cold McCullers?" She said, now she is looking straight in to my eyes. I just shake my head. Then she smiled then starts to walk but I caught her wrist so she is looking at me again.

"What about you? You're freezing too"

"Nothing I can't Handle" She said then just smile.

We start to walk again then our hands bumped for several times so I decided to hold it the next time it bumped with mine.

"I'll just hold this, okay? I also want to keep you warm" I said but I didn't look at her and I can feel that she is also looking straight ahead. But she didn't remove my hold on her wrist. She just moved it a little so now we are holding each other's hand.

SATURDAY afternoon

Emily POV

I didn't wait for Paige today because I need to go to school early but I leave her some breakfast with some note.

"Hey Emily!" I hear Spencer call out my name.

"Hi Spence the Event is a success" I said the give her a thumbs up.

"Yeah how's our sales? We need to win this too!" She said then she gestured with her hands but I know that she is just half joking.

"Don't worry Spence I've got this, by the way where is Hanna and Paige and Alison too? I didn't saw them all morning" I asked then continue preparing the foods for our booth.

"Well they are with Paige" She said then I look up to look at her face. Spencer is really good at making poker faces. But she can't hide the spark in her eyes from me.

"Well Paige is really preparing for this" She said then she shrugged.

"Paige said that maybe is going to show up and watch her up there in the stage. She seems really excited about it she doesn't shut up about it. She said her father told her to go to that song" I said Then I noticed Hanna walking to our direction so I waved at her.

"Hi Em hey Spence! I've been looking for you!" Hanna said then she snatch some cookies on the plate in front of her.

"Hey! You need to pay for that! It is not for free!" Spencer said then she grabbed the cookie Hanna was about to put in her mouth.

"Let her eat that Spence, besides she is helping Paige so she must be tired you know how stubborn Paige is!" I said then offer the plate full of cookies to Hanna then she smiled at me.

"Yeah I'm so tired" Then she pout. I just laugh at their bickering. Then Spencer also grab some cookie

"Hey I thought it is not for free!" I say then moved the plate so now it is out of Spencer's reach.

"Hey I'm also tired!" She said Then we hear someone was shouting

"I don't want to wear that thing!" I know whose voice is that

"You're too stubborn! Just wear that damn thing!" I saw Alison and Paige walking while having their little argument.

"Hey Paige! Ali!" Hanna call them out then they look at Hanna at the same time but they still have the glare on their eyes so Hanna Just put her hands up like she is surrendering.

"Hey Hanna! Please convince this brat to wear that White sundress!" Alison said

"I said I don't want to wear that one just the black one I promise to wear that I will wear that super high heels just not the white dress" Paige said then give her best friend her puppy eye look.

"Just let her wear what she's comfortable with, besides anything will look beautiful when she is wearing it" Spencer said. I guess she just realize what she said so

"Guys! I think I need to go to the auditorium! They might need my help in there" Then she walks immediately. When I look at Paige she is now 50 shades of red and she dipped her head again her signature mannerism.

"So smooth Spencer" Alison said then she hugged the arm of Paige like they didn't argue just few moments ago.

"Okay Paige you'll wear that black dress" Then she tiptoed to whisper something to Paige's ear

"Hey Han is the super high heels Paige referring to is the one we bought last day?" I asked her in shock that heels are almost 5" tall. Paige is not the heels type of girl she always wear chucks or boots

"Hey I can walk with that death footwear!"

"Em, Paige we need to arrange your outfit, Ali let's go!" She waved at me first then I returned it. She kissed Paige on the cheek then she grabbed Alison. So know I'm here standing with Paige.

"When did you stop acting like a mess whenever Hanna is around?" Paige asked but I just shrugged then busied myself.

"Well I didn't see you this morning and I didn't have my lunch yet." She said but I;m not looking at her.

"Hey" She said but she continued before I can asked her.

"Hey ahmm Cathy can I steal Fei..Emily for a while?" She said then I looked at Cathy she just smile then nod.

"Let's go Em, Thanks Cathy I'll bring her back ASAP" Then she put her hands on my back.

"So what do you want to eat? It's my treat for your wonderful breakfast and the motivational speech" I just looked away when she show off her perfect smile at me.

"Anything, you know I'm not picky" I said then I noticed that she is looking at her phone too often

"Waiting for someone?" I asked her because I can feel she is so jumpy right now then I continued

"Is it you dad?" I asked her but she just gives me a sad smile

"Hey he will come don't be so tense" I said then squeezed her hand to assure her.

"Yeah I know I believe in you Em" She taps the top of my head then give me a genuine smile this time

"and I Paige McCullers want you to know that I will be always her for you" She smiled then continued

"I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad Carry you around when your arthritis is bad All I wanna do is grow old with you" She said in a sing sang voice.

"Hahahaha is that the one you going to sing?" I asked her while I'm still giggling with her antics.

"of course not it is still a secret." Then she put her hands on her her front jeans pocket.

"Let me do the dishes In our kitchen sink Put you to bed When you've had too much to drink I could be the woman who Grows old with you I wanna grow old with you" She continued I just smiled at her

"Em I mean it I want to be beside you. Your my second family you and Pam. I wont leave you unless you said so" Then she give me her goofy smile.
